Sumire POV:
Me and Goenji are walking to Headmaster Office. 1st period has already started, and we are late. Why? We are walking slowly because of my injury. I am pretty annoyed by that, but I don't show it on my face. I look at Goenji with the corner of my eye.
"You can go faster, Shuuya. You have the timetable already"
"I will go with you just in case"
We arrived at the door, and I knocked softly on the wooden door. In a few seconds, I heard faint
"Come in"
Goenji opened the door, holding it for me, I thanked him, walking inside. Goenji followed my lead.
In the office, I thought we would see Headmaster, but instead, we see a girl standing near the window.
"You are late"
She said, turning to look at us, I looked at her features. Long navy auburn hair. She has long bangs, which are parted in the middle and pulled towards the back. She is the daughter of one of my dads friends
I'm injured. Sure, the headmaster was notified about that moreover I just woke 2 weeks ago from the coma. She for sure knows that too.
"I'm sorry, injury is something I can't help, Miss?"
I say pointing at my white cane
"Raimon Natsumi, I understand then"
Natsumi said before walking to the desk, taking a few papers. Then, walking back to us
"We were notified of that, Welcome to Raimon Jr. High. And I hope your injury will heal soon"
I was right.
She said, giving me papers
I have a long way to heal, my muscles are in a terrible state...
"Thank you for your hospitality, Raimon-san."
I said, taking the papers, Goenji just nodded his head, and we turned to leave
"Suzuki-san, please call me Natsumi."
Auburn haired girl stated as we opened the door, I looked back at her
First name basis?
"Alright, Natsumi. Please call me Sumire as well. "
Natsumi nods her head as we close the door behind us, walking to class.
Goenji is uneasy about the first name basis with chairman's daughter, but I just shrug it off saying
"Don't worry, Shuuya."
I am always careful
In the classroom, as soon as we arrive, a dead silence occurred The teacher looks at us before saying
"Ah, yes, we have 2 new students"
He said, writing down on board our names.
I look around the classroom and notice 2 familiar faces. I sweatdrop.
What a terrible luck. These two from yesterday are in our class
Endou notice us immediately, standing up, pointing finger at us, stuttering some inaudible words. I look at him, wanting to ask 'Where are you pointing at, weirdo?', but I bit my tongue
"What? You guys know each others?"
Teacher asked standing beside us
"No, it's not like I know them"
"So just sit down"
"Ahh, yes"
He said sitting down and apologising to boy in front of him after he kept hands while standing.
Teacher motion his hand to me
"Suzuki Sumire, let's get along"
I say keeping my cane in front of me
"Goenji Shuuya"
"You transferred from Kidokawa Seishuu, right?"
We both nod our heads as a yes, not answering further
After introduction we both sit down near window, Goenji behind me.
"Suzuki-san is injured and woke up from coma few weeks ago, so I hope you will help her around"
Teacher said before continuing lesson
Few whispers where heard 'I recognise them', 'It's that ace striker', 'That genius player who suffered from injury in our class?', 'Why she has a cane?'
He didn't have to say that so openly, and people recognised us... annoying
I sighed mentally

Break time
Sumire POV:
Goenji and I are looking out the window, I am sitting on the desk, swinging my healthy leg around. In window reflection, I see two figures approaching, I recognise that orange bandana.
How prying that boy is..
"Goenji, Suzuki-san, I didn't manage to introduce myself properly yesterday"
Goenji looks at him, almost uninterested
"I am Endou Mamoru, Captain of the Soccer club. My position is Goalkeeper"
Endou said before coming before me and placing his hands on Goenji's desk
"Do you want to join the team?"
He loves pushing limits, I see....
Endou lowered himself on desk more, eyes shining
"Kidokawa Seishuu is famous for its soccer, right?"
Goenji just glances at me then at the window
"No wonder why your kick's are powerful!"
Goenji sigh
"What's wrong?"
Endou asked confused
"I've stopped playing soccer"
Endou looks at me
"I don't play either"
I say, motioning to my cane, which is leaned on my desk, stopping swinging my healthy leg
"You stopped playing. Why?
Endou kept insisting
"it's none of your business"
Goenji said flatly, before looking at me. Endou looked like a popped balloon while looking at me
"It's personal, so stop insisting..."
I say before someone runs to Endou
"Endou! Fuyukai-sensei is looking for you"
My eyes darted to the boy who came
Fuyukai...Fuyukai... I heard it somewhere...
"He wants you in principal's office"
"Principal's office?"
"I have a bad feeling about it, maybe it's about disbanding the club..."
"Disbanding?!"
Endou exclaims, Goenji gaze at them
"I've hard rumours too"
Said the girl
Kino Aki was her name, I think
"Don't joke around! I won't let them disband our club!"
He then looked at me
"Suzuki-san?"
I hum, looking at him
"Raimon-san is looking for you too"
I look at Goenji who nods slightly confused before nodding at the boy
"Alright"
I say slowly sliding off my desk, landing my both feet at the floor. I grimaced a little, before masking it with smile taking my cane.
"I will go right away"
I say hoping no one saw my discomfort with my leg
Me and Endou started walking to Principal's office
Goenji Shuuya POV:
She winced at pain... She should have stayed in hospital and try to get better. So stubborn...
Suzuki Sumire POV:
As we are walking, Endou keeps insisting why we don't play, I just shrug him off. Ignoring him and keeping my promise to Goenji.
In the chairman's office, I look at familiar face, Natsumi, and two new faces. I suppose the coach of the soccer club and someone else.
"Maybe you would like to sit down, Sumire?"
Natsumi asked, motioning her hand to the couch, near the desk
"Yes, thank you, Natsumi"
I say walking past confused Endou and sitting down on the couch and leaving my cane leaned on the couch edge.
"E-Excuse me...What do you want to talk to me about?"
Endou looked at Fuyukai-sensei, little anxious.
"Although this is a bit sudden, there will be a practice match in a week's time."
"Oh...it's a match"
He said, calming down before realisation his him
"We have a match?!"
"The opponent is Teikoku Academy."
My heart raced, and that bitter feeling in my mouth returned for the first time in a while...
Why would they play against an incomplete club? Moreover why now when me and Shuuya joined...Don't tell me!-
"T-Teikoku?! That Teikoku Academy that everyone says is the strongest team?"
"That's right,"
I stopped following the conversation, thinking deeply
They are after Shuuya...or me...Kageyama Reiji is coming...
My chain of thoughts broke
"I will disband the club if you lose. That's the deal"
"Don't decide on your own!"
"Endou-kun, the Chief Director has left the school operations to Lady Natsumi. Her words are the same as the Chief Director"
Endou immediately reddened and got angry before leaving the office, Fuyukai-sensei, soon after. Natsumi came to me, sitting down in front of me
"What do you think about Raimon after a few lessons, Sumire?"
Her dad is a good friend of my dad, we should get along and be friends...
"It's alright, I hope to heal quickly and come back to my usual routine,"
Natsumi nodded her head before asking
"Would you like to join Student Council as a vice-president?"
