"Ayaan, Who is Roshini?" Kaushalya asked him. Her tone was stern and so was her posture. She never had her son this vulnerable.

"My wife." His answer was simple and complex at the same time.

"Which wife?" She looked away when his eyes held the hurt regarding her question.

"My only wife."

Ayaan whispered barely. Kaushalya was flabbergasted by the sudden revelations.

"Ayaan, what are you saying?" Her voice was low and so was her spirit.

"Truth. And now please leave me Amma. We can discuss the rest tomorrow." Kaushalya nodded and turned around to leave but halted.

"Shall I take Amal with me?" Ayaan looked at his son who was sleeping on the other side of the bed.

"No Amma, he will wake up in the middle. Let him be here."

"Okay, but don't hesitate to call me if he goes out of the bounds like some times." Ayaan smiled and nodded. Maybe now his son doesn't do them anymore.

Kaushalya left the room closing the door and Ayaan looked towards his wife and his son, both were sleeping peacefully and for the first time after a long time, he was content.

Amal moved towards Roshini in his sleep as he does the same for his father. Ayaan smiled at the antics of his son.

Roshini didn't wake up because of the sedatives and Amal was tired of the whole day staring at different faces. So they didn't wake up till morning. Ayaan fell asleep on the couch looking at his world.

In the morning, the door bell rang and Thara opened the door. The person hugged her in joy before looking around for the others.

"Finally, someone decided to show up." Dhanya mocked and he frowned.

"Bro, konni konni saarlu ravadam late emo kaani, ravadam mathram pakka!" Mathew told the dialogue in single take which he by hearted the last whole day.

(Bro, sometimes I may come late but I will come.)

Dhanya and the family's jaws were dropped to the floor when he told the dialogue in his thick British accent.

"That's Mathew." He raised an imaginary collar. "But now tell me where that idiot is?" Kaushalya chuckled at him.

"He might be sleeping. You go and freshen up, till then he will come." Mathew nodded so that he could surprise him.

"Amma, where is Vadina? She's not there in her room." Dhanya asked her mother which Kaushalya to remember the revelations of last night. She didn't know to be happy or sad for her son.

"I know where she is." Dhanya nodded and followed Mathew obviously to steal the gifts.

"Thara, call Roshini's family and tell them that we will come to their place this evening." Thara nodded. She guessed that something was off with Kaushalya by her tone.

Kaushalya walked towards Ayaan's room. She knocked on the door but it wasn't closed. She opened the door. Amal was cocooned by his mother while Ayaan was sleeping on the couch in an uncomfortable position.

She sighed and shook his shoulder. Ayaan woke up with a jerk as he was a light sleeper.

"Amma, what?" Ayaan groaned in frustration. Already he slept late at night and now doesn't want to wake up early in the morning.

"Mathew is here. You go and freshen up." Ayaan's expression changed from frustration to displeasure in a second.

"Nice, only the presence of the monkey is left now." Ayaan grunted in displeasure.

Kaushalya slapped his arm and he ignored it royally. His gaze lingered on his wife and his son who was hidden in her chest. A sight which he missed a lot.

"Now, will you go or keep staring at my daughter?" She retorted making him gasp.

"Turning the tables should be learnt from you." Kaushalya flipped her hair in response and he laughed.

"Ayaan, it's really after ages I'm seeing you like this." Ayaan smiled as he knew the reason.

"Today, we go to her home and ask her parents about all this."

"Her home is here. There, it is her parents home not hers from the past two years." There comes the possessiveness of being the husband.

"And you didn't think to tell that to any of us."

"Amma, it's not like I didn't want to. But one day, she just asked me to marry her, I could have denied her if it's not the vulnerability in her voice at that time." Ayaan remembered those days, those good old days.

"Ok, fine. I would like to know everything that happened from the start. But for now, you go and freshen up till then I will look after them."

Ayaan left and it didn't take much time for Amal to wake up from his beauty sleep. But like everyday, he didn't find his father, instead he was embraced by someone he didn't know but was familiar with.

Amal looked at her face with his big brown eyes which he got from her. Sensing his gaze upon her, Roshini opened her eyes but her head was hurting a lot.

She was in a different room and more to surprise, there's a baby in her arms. She looked at the cutie baby who was staring at her as well.

She smiled and he smiled in return followed by a squeal and a burst of laughter. Noticing the commotion, Kaushalya looked at the duo who woke up and were staring at each other.

"Roshini, how are you feeling? Is your head hurting?" She was surprised how they knew about her condition.

Not wanting to start her relationship with lies, she motioned her head top to bottom. Kaushalya caressed her hair, and took Amal from her who wasn't ready to leave his cocoon.

"Amal, let her freshen up and eat something. Then you can have her all day, ok?" She spoke to her grandson who didn't listen to any of her words but started crying.

Ayaan came out from the closet hearing the cries of his son. Kaushalya was trying to pacify him while Roshini was looking at them keenly.

"Amma, give him to me." Kaushalya passed him to Ayaan but Amal was reluctant to be with Roshini.

"What happened to you today?" Ayaan asked his son but he ignored his father and was throwing up his limbs in her direction.

"Fine, I understand you. But you should behave?" Amal stopped his sobbing and Ayaan glared at his traitor son.

"Could you hold him for a moment? He wants to be with you." Ayaan walked towards Roshini who sat leaning against the bedrest.

Roshini looked at Amal was throwing his limbs towards her, at his father who has hopeful eyes and then at her mil who has a smile. She took Amal from Ayaan who immediately giggled and squealed in happiness.

Kaushalya left the room, leaving the couple alone in their cocoon. Ayaan was happy with the growing progess but he need to know the truth.

Mathew came upstairs and was shocked to see Roshini in Ayaan's room.

"Roshini! Oh my God! Finally, he found you." Mathew yelled in joy and happiness.

"Mathew, lower your voice. You have scared her." Mathew laughed at his words.

"Ayaan, what are you saying? In first terms, she is scared of you and definitely of me. Right sissy?" Roshini was numb and confused to understand his words.

"Mathew, if you speak another word." Mathew zipped his mouth understanding the unsaid beautiful words.

"Roshini, give him to me and you can freshen up. Your luggage is in the closet. Dhanya set your clothes in the wardrobe. If you want anything else, ask me."

Roshini nodded timidly and walked away.

"Man, what's happening? Why is she behaving like she doesn't know you?" Mathew pulled his hairs in confusion while Amal thought to help his uncle in that.

"Ah, you brat." He rubbed his head where the little one held his hair in a tight grip.

"Like father, like son. Always troubling me." He whispered under his breath.

"That you deserve." Ayaan retorted.

"And you," He looked at Amal who gave him a toothless grin. "You just changed the party in a day? Did you just forget how you lived for the past months?"

Amal just ignored his words and kept looking at the direction in which Roshini left.

"Da da da," He pointed towards the bathroom and Ayaan glared at his son. Amal in return mumbled something which is impossible to understand for any person but his tone was pretty simple to understand.

"Nice," Ayaan mumbled to himself and Mathew laughed at the duo.

"Ayaan, Mathew, come down with that little one." Thara yelled from the living room and Mathew went down as he knew Ayaan would come with Roshini.

Ayaan and Amal were continuously gazing at the door awaiting for her. And she did came after a few minutes dressed up in simple kurti and leggings.

The duo smiled at her which startled her.

"Sorry, I got late."

"No problem. You don't have to apologise." He smiled at her and she didn't return it being timid.

"Back to square one." Ayaan mumbled to himself when someone knocked on the door making him frowm and Roshini smile.
