Eliza's POV-

"So, where exactly are we going?" I asked April.

"A shop near Miles's apartment. I need to get some clothes for an event and need someone's opinion for it." She said.

"You want my opinion?" I was genuinely confused as to when we had gotten this close.

"Yeah, I don't have any close friends to ask this. None of your brothers-in-law or your husband is any good for this. You are my best option." She explained.

"Oh." I looked out of the car.

"Do you know how relived that Vincent married you? I was stuck between those four and now I finally have someone to keep me company." Her voice was neutral but somehow her tone resembled with excitement.

Did she not know about the fight?

At that moment her phone rang, "Excuse me, I have to take this."

Her phone went on the speaker, it was call from her work. I wondered how similar she is to Vincent. Both of them have a reserved group of people who they are comfortable with. Both of them prioritize their work and just overall how serious they were.

After 15 minutes of driving we stopped at the entrance of beautifully decorated stone building. This was a clothing store?

"Eliza, you go in, I have to finish this call." April said.

"No, I can wait." I responded.

"It's fine, just go in and them you are here with me. I have already made the appointment." She turned her back and went back to her call.

Appointment to buy clothes? That's bizzare. I thought it was only for when you were buying wedding dresses or something like that.

I walked inside the gate and there was stair way decorated with roses and fairy lights. the stone staircase was leading up to a balcony which was decorated the same way. I walked up of the ivory door leading to the balcony.

When I pushed open the door, it didn't feel like a clothing store. There was no staff or any clothes there. It was just pathway that lead to the balcony. When I was about to go back to see if I was at the right place, a man dressed in formal black suit approached me.

"Mrs. Eliza Chae?" He questioned. I nodded. "Please follow me for your scheduled appointment."

My appointment?

"You must've misunderstood. This appointment is for April not me." I explained.

He smiled, "Yeah, for that please follow me." I walked behind him to the door that lead to the balcony.

"Please go ahead and enter, we will be with you soon." I entered the balcony, which was pitch black.

What kind of a clothing store was this?

The darkness around me was slowly lit with dim fairly lights. The setting around me completely took me aback. There were photos of me and Vincent over the past months over the past months. Starting from our wedding day up until now. Some photos were taken intentionally while some were beautifully candid.

I walked around the room looking at each of them. I didn't know what was happening. I saw a table at the far end of the room with a envelope on it. When I picked it up I saw that it was addressed to me.

With shaky hands I opened it and what I read brought a ocean of tears to my eyes. It was letter Vincent wrote to me.

I sobbed as I closed the letter in my hand. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a figure entering the room. I turned towards it and saw my husband looking just as handsome as ever in a blue three piece suit.

"Hi," He awkwardly said. I raised my eyebrow suspiciously.

"I know, that you don't want me to be here and honest to god I had decided to give you all the space you need but I couldn't stay away from you. I really wanted to keep my distance from you knowing that is the best for you after what I did but I couldn't. I wanted... No, I need you with me." He started slowly walking towards me.

"I am not good with expressing myself through my words so, I wrote you that letter. I mean every word of it. If you want me too leave, I will but I don't want to. I want to stay by your side as your husband. I want to spend the rest of my life being yours and only yours. I can bare every pain in this world without complaining even once but not the pain of being away from you."

I sobbed even harder at his words. He stopped in front of me and held my hands in his, "I can give up anything in life, but I can never give up on us. Know why? Because I have never loved anyone the way . Your love can take the place of blood in my veins, and I will still live happily.

I am sorry I hurt you. I know you deserve better, but I can't see you with anyone else. So, with everything I have I promise to become the man you deserve. I admit that I am selfish when it comes to you, I want to keep you all to myself for the rest of our lives. I will give up on everything, my money, fame, business and anything you want me to leave. I will be happy living in a small house with you and our kids in the countryside with 9 to 5 job, just us forever." He pulled me in a hug.

Placing his lips on my forehead his said with a slightly shaky voice, "Please do not give up on me. Give me another chance, I will do everything to keep you and never let a single tear leave your eyes. So, stay with me."

I wrapped my arms around his and hugged with everything I had. I closed my eyes the familiar scent of his wood essence welcomed me. The warmth of his hug made me feel home again.

"I forgive you, Vincent. I cannot live without you either. Somehow, you became the pillar of my life and I cannot leave you, ever." I said to him. I felt the sigh of relief leaving his lungs.

His arms tightened around me if it was even possible, "I love you so much, my wife."

"I love you too, my husband." I looked up at him and within a moment I locked our lips together. This was the sweet, tender and longing kiss both of us had been waiting for. We kissed for what felt like forever.

Suddenly the to the balcony opened and Miles, Roman, Archer, April and Isabella entered. A loud whistle blew and party poppers filled the room.

"Congratulations!" Miles screamed.

"You all knew about this?" I asked surprised.

"We are the ones who arranged all of this." Roman said.

"So, that's why April suddenly wanted my opinion on clothes." The dots in my head started to finally connect.

April smiled coyly.

"Thank you to you all. This couldn't have happened without you." Vincent smiled at them.

"Did the sun rise in the west today? My older brother is smiling!" Miled overdramatically said.

"What magic do you possess my sister-in-law, pray tell us too." Roman joined him.

I laughed.

"Stop it before I kick you all out." Vincent warned them.

"I don't think your almost forty joints will be able to do that." Archer said.

"You are with them too?" Vincent asked exasperatedly.

Miles wiped his fake tears and patted Archer on his back, "I taught you so well my dearest little brother."

Isabella snickered from behind. And April let out a small laugh too.

"Hey, Eliza. I need to tell you something. Tomorrow we have-" I cut Vincent off.

"A court date for the hearing of the custody case, I know. Nigel already told me."

"So, you know already. That's good. Now you ready to go home?" He asked.

"Not today. I'll be home tomorrow." I said.

"Why? I thought we were back to normal." His face turned confused.

"We are. But I have a project to submit early tomorrow morning and it is at Jenna's place. So I'll submit it tomorrow and be right at the court." I lied. The truth was I was going to pick up Jacob and bring him to court with me because I wasn't sure if he'll show up on his own.

"But-" He spoke.

"Don't worry, old man. I'll be there on time." I teased him.

"Old man?" He raised his eyebrow playfully.

"Yeah, I mean when you'll be in a nursing home, I will still have options open to marry again." I shrugged.

"Like I'll ever let you do that." He scoffed.

I laughed and placed a small kiss on hs lips. "You may be an old man but you are my old and I love you my old man."

"I love you too, my wife forever." He smiled.
