A new morning, a new start. Hiya was trying to forget what happened that day at Prem's house, how he was forcing her and she was crying helplessly. But to her surprise, Vihaan saved her. The man she hated the most for saying words against her boyfriend. No for warning her, because he knows the consequences.
She sighed remembering the fear in his eyes for her. Did he feel pity on her? He must think she is such a fool to love a man like Prem.
Tears were pricking through her orbs but she gulped down the hurt and wore the simple, single piece diamond necklace Ayaan had gifted her on her 15th birthday from his piggybank.
It was her lucky charm, she always wore this whenever something important was on.
Today she is going to face lots of people after almost two weeks. Today is her birthday. Finally she is 25 now.
Last night was a blast for her, when Rehana pranked her saying she was not well and she came down the hall with a rapid heartbeat.
But she was surprised to see the decorations with balloons and flowers glittering everything.
In the morning, Samaira demanded to visit the Radha-Krishna temple with the siblings. Maheen also agreed to visit with them.
She draped the white embroidered dupatta on her left shoulder and pinned it with the Anarkali's shoulder.
She wore white coloured and yellow flowers printed with long Anarkali with white straight pants and a beautifully embroidered fine white dupatta, which was gifted by Rehana. And the dress was gifted by Maheen.
"Badi maa" she knocked on the door of Maheen's room and heard a 'come in' from inside. So she opened the door and went inside.
"How am I looking?" Hiya said, flaring the dress. Maheen smiled looking at her from the mirror. She was getting ready for the Puja when Hiya entered. Wearing the earring she turned and marched to Hiya.
Hiya's full blown smile melted her every time. She tried hard to give Hiya everything She has. She raised this girl as her own. 'Maa' was the first word that came out from Hiya's mouth and Maheen was the happiest mother that day. But She didn't want to take the place of Heer in Hiya's life. She is her mother and She will be her mother till the end. But the love She always shows to Hiya makes her Hiya's best friend.
"My barbie doll" Maheen kissed her forehead then blew some prayers.
"And you are my queen," Hiya said, wrapping her arms around Maheen's neck and kissing her cheeks.
Maheen smiled, patting her cheeks.
"Hume bhi aane ki permission hai kya yaha?"
(Do we also have permission to come here?)
They heard Abhimaan's voice and turned to see him, standing outside the doorstep with Rehana beside him.
"Our new love birds badi maa" Hiya teased when they entered inside and Rehana blushed at her remark.
"Shut up" Abhimaan rolled his eyes at her smirk while Rehana was trying hard to lower her face as much as she could so that no one could see her blushing face.
"Love birds? Really?" Maheen asked, eyeing the duo.
"Yes badi maa. Love Birds." Hiya approached Rehana by pushing Abhimaan aside by her elbow. "You know Abhi bhai couldn't even sleep until Rehana made him" Rehana's eyes widened and ears became red and she shook her head, indicating to Hiya to not tell anything more.
"You two are living together?" Maheen asked angrily to Abhimaan.
"No mom. We don't. Hiya is talking bullshit" Abhimaan replied immediately and Hiya chuckled.
"Hiya"
"They're not badi maa. It's just that they spend a lot of time together before sleeping. Hai na bhai?"
"Sukar mana aaj birthday hai Teri warna pit Jatin bahut zor se"
(Dear sister, today is your birthday otherwise you would have been beaten very hard)
Abhimaan glaring at Hiya who was showing her tongue at him and then hugged Rehana. Who hugged her back and mumbled a 'happy birthday wish' kissing Hiya's cheeks. Hiya thanked her with the same gesture and left to call Divya.
"What is going on between you two, Abhi and Rehana?" Maheen asked, holding Rehana's hand and eyeing Abhimaan.
"Nothing mumma," Rehana replied in her sweet soft voice, looking down.
"First of all start talking, looking into everyone's eyes. Why do you always look down while talking? People will think you're weak." Maheen said cupping her cheeks and her eyes welled up.
Abhimaan sat in front of her on the floor and she shifted her body to look at him.
"I know why you look down," Abhimaan said, taking Her palms in his hold.
"Why?" Maheen asked
"Because she gets afraid of looking at others' eyes."
Rehana nodded her head at him and then shifted her gaze to Maheen.
"You don't have to. Got it. You're strong and we all are with you Divi's Rooh baby"
The three laughed and came down where everyone was waiting for them.
"Oh my god Rooh you're looking so pretty baby" Divya hugged Rehana as she stood beside her.
"You too looking so beautiful Divi"
Rehana was clad in a light pink anarkali with white leggings and printed dupatta. While Divya was wearing a sea green coloured Anarkali. With organza print dupatta.
Their Anarkali were all the same except the colour. Aadya, Hiya's maasi sent it for them as Hiya's birthday.
After Heer and Aditya left, Aadya stopped contacting them. It was only Ayaan's and Hiya's birthday that she never forgets and sent everything she wanted.
This year she has sent some dresses from her designs, some jewellery and a cake which they cut last night. Also she sent some more dresses for Divya and Rehana.
"Chale badi maa?" Ayaan asked as everyone started gossips forgetting they've to leave for the temple.
(Can we go now badi maa)
"No. Now two more people are left" Maheen said and a frown appeared on everyone's faces.
"No bhabi three," Samaira said, adding more confusion.
"Will you two please tell.." Ayaan was stunned seeing the person coming inside with wide eyes and fear in her face.
"Ishani" he mumbled her name and looked at Maheen who was smiling at him.
"Come Ishani." Maheen dragged her inside and she felt nervous. So nervous.
"How are you?" Yuvaan asked, patting her head when she touched his feet.
"I'm good sir. How are you doing?" She asked slowly.
"I'm good." Yuvaan smiled at her but looked confusedly at Maheen who was introducing Ishani to everyone.
At last Ishani met Rehana and smiled widely at her.
Rehana also smiled back at her but confused why she was smiling so much.
"She is a fan of your cooking, Rehana," Maheen said and Ishani nodded.
Rehana shyly hugged her and Ishani felt relief.
"You cook really so well" ishani whispered
"Thank you," Rehana said, breaking the hug.
"Let's go now" Dev said, getting impatient but Samaira gained everyone's attention.
"Here they're Bhabi"
Maheen and Samaira went to greet the guests and Hiya's looking in the direction shocked.
"Who are they?" Abhimaan asked Dev and Ayaan clenched his fists.
"He is Vihaan, Hiya's professor. I think she's his mother" Dev said with a smile and went to meet them.
"Ayaan control yourself." Abhimaan squeezed his shoulder while he moved his face to another side to calm down and his eyes met the most innocent pair on his eyes.
Ishani looked at him with her beautiful almond shaped kohl filled eyes. She was wearing a beautiful blue coloured saree. Most importantly it's his favourite colour.
Ishani smiled at him and his anger calmed down.
Abhimaan noticed the changes in Ayaan's behaviour and nudges his shoulder.
"Mat kijiye bhai. Mujhe bhi aap ka raaz pata hai"
(Don't do it bhai. I also know your secret.)
"What do you mean chotu?"
"Don't chotu me because I know something is going between you and our Rehana"
Ayaan rolled his eyes and both the brothers laughed out loud.
"Let's keep it bro code Ayaan" Abhimaan said and Ayaan nodded his head. When the girls looked at them confusingly.
After greeting Vihaan and His mother they left for the temple.
Abhimaan, Rehana, Divya, Ayaan and Ishani in one car, Abhimaan was driving and Ayaan was beside him. while the elders were in another car along with Hiya and Vihaan and his mother in their own car.
