(Name) Kanroji always dreamed of having a significant other; she would keep on glancing at other couples at her school. Wondering if her appearance and personality were what went wrong for her, she couldn't help but hate her imperfections.
'Is it my unnatural (h/c) hair?'
'My (b/t) body?'
'Is it my personality?'
'My appetite?'
'Is it my abnormal strength?'
She couldn't help but think about the possibilities that always made her insecure. (Name) wanted to marry someone stronger than her someday and accept her for who she is.
'Maybe they don't exist...?'
The sudden ring of the oven called her as she rushed over to her kitchen and took the cookies she was baking out of the oven. The cookies looked delicious as always; she is an excellent baker, of course. After all, her family owns a bakery shop.
'These look delicious!'
Fortunately, (name) used the oven mitts, she couldn't risk an injury again when she carelessly used both of her hands to get them off.
That memory made her shiver; it was like her skin peeled off, and it wasn't a good jam.
Letting the cookies cool off, she took some for herself and, hopefully, her new friend. (Name) got ready for school, and she couldn't forget her bento, of course. She made so many side dishes and desserts that made her mouth salivate.
"Oh! You're going already (Name)? "
Turning to the voice, she saw her mother, ushering her to give her a hug before she went. Obeying her command, she reached out and hugged her figure contently.
"Yes, I'll get going now Mom." Exclaimed (Name).
She was excited yet nervous again for each day, wishing her first friend that could eat with her, say their troubles, and hopefully gossip about all different kinds of food.

After bidding goodbye to her family, (name) took off outside to begin her journey towards school.
She came across a guy with a pompadour hairstyle; his void black eyes complemented his looks. (Name) could say that the way he dressed, he looked like a delinquent. But there's no way, right?
The boy was helping a kitten get down the tree. He keeps struggling to get up there.
'Oh my, how heroic!' (Name) dreamily stared at him, at how focused and determined he was to get the kitten to safety.
"Gah!" The boy panicked, as he almost lost his balance on the tree.
'What am I doing?!" She scolded herself. (Name) needed to help him, she didn't want to see him get hurt anymore. (Name) took a step forward, towards the boy, to help him balance.
"C-can I help you?" She awkwardly questioned, gazing at him warily.
The pompadour boy looked towards the voice, seeing a cute female conversing with him. Her (e/c) glimmering eyes stared nervously at him and her hair, rare as a gem glinted with the help of the sun.
'A goddess?' Shinichiro couldn't help but ponder; he was enchanted by her beauty, and to think that she was offering to help him?
'Did I hit my head or something?'
The Pompadour boy was still holding onto the tree. He couldn't stop gazing at her; she was beautiful.
"U-uh, do I have something on my face?" (Name) panicked. She was disappointed in herself that she ruined her chance to finally have a friend, or perhaps more than that?
"N-no! No, that's not it, sorry. I was just surprised, that's all." Shinichiro snapped out of his mind and looked away from her.
He was flustered all the way to his ear. The boy couldn't look at her in the eyes. Shinichiro feared that he would get distracted by her beauty again and that she would avoid him.
"Meowwwww"
The distressed sound made them snap out of it as they worked together to help the kitten get down. It took time, but with their teamwork, they succeeded.
Finally, they led the kitten away from the tree. The pompadour boy and (name) watched it escape safely and go along its merry way.
"S-so good weather we're having, right?" Shinichiro pathetically questioned. He felt stupid and embarrassed about his life choices now.
"Yeah, it is." (Name) couldn't help but snort; he was way more awkward than her, and that was cute.
The pompadour boy celebrated, he finally made a girl laugh.
"W-what's your name?"
He pondered, excited to finally talk to a girl without her leaving.
"Kanroji (Name). You?" She waited patiently. Finally, she was going to have a potential friend.
"I'm Sano Shinichiro. Pleased to meet you, milady." He rizzed, hoping to get her to find him decent or handsome?
She did. (Name) thought that he was already handsome and kind; he had this charm that attracts anyone, even her.
'Ah! So cute' (Name) didn't notice that her smile went bigger and brighter.
"Oh, uh, we should head to class now, right?" Shinichiro questioned. He wanted to get away from her. She made his mind malfunction, and he could feel the hotness of his face reaching its limit.
"O-oh, yes, of course, hehe, let's go." (Name) was disappointed. Did she do something wrong to offend him?
'...'
The silence remained throughout their walk; they both couldn't help but be disheartened that it ended this way.
"It was a pleasure meeting you, Sano-kun." (Name) sadly exclaimed.
"You too!" He couldn't help it as his face finally cooled off. Shinichiro wanted to get his courage back; he was lovestruck.
The pair separated, both of them disappointed. They could feel a connection between them when they first met. Shinichiro vowed to find her again and perhaps ask her out.
