"Hum aapse ek baat puchhe...?" Haseena said. Anubhav hummed, covering her with blanket.
Haseena-hum chehre par nishan dekh kar lag raha hai jaise hume kaafi chot lagi thi...
Anubhav-hmm...aap chehre ke bal hi giri thi isliye us par hi nishan pad gaye...
Haseena-bahot jyada the na, isliye aapne hume ek mahine mirror nhi dekhne diya....(she asked, gazing into his eyes).
Anubhav-nhi..jyada nhi the...(stealing his eye contact with her).
Haseena-hmm...acche nhi lag rahe the hum us waqt...(she asked).
Anubhav-aisa kuch nhi hai, nhi thi jyada chot (with a smile), ab jyada sochna band kariye aur so jaiye...(kissing her forehead).
Haseena-aap bhi so jaiye yahin...
Anubhav-papa hai Haseena ji, kya sochenge hamare bare mein...
Haseena-kuch nhi..(he smile slightly), aapko kya lagta hai jo aap aadhi aadhi raat mein hamare room mein aakar sote hai hamare paas Papa ko pata nhi chalta hoga..sab pata hai unhe...
Anubhav(nervous)-kya...?? Par unhone kuch bola kyun nhi humse...(tensed).
Haseena-kyunki bharosa hai unhe hum par...(smiling).
Anubhav-jo humne deh mahine pehle tod diya...(guilty).
Haseena-aisa kuch nhi hai, woh jante hai ki aap humse kitna pyaar karte hai, jante hai agar hamare beech kuch hua hoga toh hamari iccha se hi hua hoga..aur agar humne aapko apna puri tarah banaya hai toh bahut soch samjh kar kadam aage badhaya hoga...(she said gazing into his eyes).
Anubhav-par galat tha na, shaadi se pehle yeh sab...bharosa toda humne Papa ka...(guilty).
Haseena-jo hua woh aapko galat lag raha hai ab..(hurted).
Anubhav-nhi, jo hua agar galat lagta toh hum dobara us raat wapas aage nhi badhte...bas papa ke vishwas ka fayda uthaya humne...(sadly).
Haseena-uthaya hota agar jo hua usme hamari marji na hoti, pyaar aur vishwas na hota...aur hamari sagai nhi huyi hoti..phir toh pakka Anuraag ji ki tarah aapko bhi ek pad jata....🤭
Anubhav-kya...Anuraag ko thappad pada hai Papa se...(worriedly).
Haseena-haan, jab dono ke pyaar ke bare mein Papa ko pata chala toh dono ko pada tha...
Anubhav-aapne roka nhi..??
Haseena-hum exam dene gaye the apni masters ke.....
Anubhav-phir kya hua?
Haseena-phir jab hum ghar aaye toh sab pata chala aur humne baat ki dono se, sach mein pyaar tha dono ke beech koi attraction ya college mein show off ke liye nhi kiya tha..dono ko aage padhna tha isliye humne warning de diya ki number kam aaye toh shaadi nhi hone denge...hamari Sneha, hamesha se hamari sabse acchi bacchi rahi hai maan gyi baat, pata hai aapko (her moist eyes shined), usne kabhi hamari mehnat barbaad nhi hone di..bahot ambitious hai bachapan se, apne sapne pure karke hi saans li usne aur Anuraag ji ne bhi uska pura saath diya...(smiling).
Anubhav-itna prem hai dono behno mein toh us din aisa kya ho gya tha ki aap itna hurt ho gyi thi?
Haseena-uska gussa, Sona ka gussa toh uske samne kuch nhi hai...bas usi gusse mein hum samane aa gaye aur jo gussa tha usne nikal diya, pehli baar nhi hai kayi baar ho chuka...bechari ko maar bhi padi hai bua dadi se iske liye..
Anubhav-toh aap is baar naraz kyun hai unse?
Haseena-usne hume kuch bola hota toh hume jyada fark nhi padta kyunki uska gussa hum samjhte hai par usne gusse mein aapko bhi bahot kuch bol diya, itne logon ke samne..jo aapko jante tak nhi the, uski baaton ki wajah se sabne kya kya soch liya hoga aapke bare mein aur uski baaton ne us din hurt kiya hume isliye...(she answered sadly).
Anubhav-agar hamare liye bura laga toh maaf kar dijiye unhe, unhone jo kaha gusse mein kaha hoga aur bacchon ki gusse mein kahin gyi baat ko dil se nhi lagate...(he said with a smile).
Haseena-hmm....aayegi toh baat karenge, agar usne aapko sorry bol diya toh kar denge maaf....
Anubhav-woh hume sorry bol chuki hai, aap unhe maaf kar dijiye...
Haseena-hmm...
Anubhav-ab so jaiye....good night..(kissing her forehead).
Haseena-matlab aap ja rahe hai apne room mein...(gloomily).
Anubhav-papa hai na, par ab bas kuch dino ki baat hai phir hume dar nhi rahega...(smiling).
She gives him a weak smile. He kisses the back of her hand and goes to his room after turning off the light.
She takes her phone and peeps into her phone gallery.
Her lips curve into a big smile as she looks at pictures from her engagement with Anubhav.

"Hum abhi bhi itne acche lag rahe hai?" She says while zooming in and out on her picture, and feeling a bit worried.
Haseena slowly gets down from the bed and turns on the light switch before returning to the mirror, putting on her glasses.
She scans herself from head to toe in the mirror. Her legs are fine now, but her father and Anubhav still haven't allowed her to do house chores due to the lingering pain in her left hand. However, her main concern is her face, which has a few scars from the accident.
When she fell on the road, there were broken pieces of glass from trucks or cars that pierced her left cheek, forehead, and hand. This is why Anubhav didn't let her see the mirror, as the doctor advised them that it might affect her self-esteem.
She watches herself in the mirror for ten minutes, reflecting on her appearance.
"Koi nhi Haseena, agar itna hone ke baad bhi koi tumhare saath hai, toh use ab fark nhi padega tumhare sundar hone na hone se.." she whispers to herself with a smile.
"Par..." her mind questions, and she takes her phone to look at a picture of Anubhav.

"Anubhav ji kitne handsome hai, aur hum...(he looks at herself in the mirror), Abhi toh naya naya pyaar hai, isliye nhi kuch bol rahe hain, par aage..." Her mind makes her feel a bit sad about the uncertainties of the future.
"Kya kuch bhi soch rahi hai Haseena, jyada mat soch...waisa kuch nhi hoga...!" She inhaled a deep breath, calming her overthinking mind.
Haseena-thanda pani pi lete hai, dimaag shant ho jayega...(She walks to the kitchen, retrieves a water bottle from the fridge, mixes cold water with normal water in a glass, and drinks it all in one go)
"Jyada mat socha karo, Haseena. Warna dimaag blast ho jayega.." She murmurs to herself.
She then heads back to her room, but on the way, she notices her father sleeping in the living room.
"Anubhav ji....!" She smiles and tiptoes into Anubhav's room.
Anubhav is startled when Haseena slides under his blanket, interrupting his sleep.
"Kya hua, aap thik hai?" Anubhav panics.
Haseena-sshhh (hushes him)...shant ho jaiye, thik hai sab...(she snuggled into his chest).
Anubhav-Papa hai bahar Haseena ji...(he whispered).
Haseena-so rahe hai...(she mumbled against his chest).
Anubhav-phir bhi, dwar khula hai agar andar aa gye toh...(nervous).
Haseena-hum band karke aaye hai...
Anubhav-par hua kya ? Aap aise achanak?
Haseena-kuch nhi, ab sawal band kariye aur so jaiye...(strictly).
He hummed and kissed top of her head and soon he get into deep slumber as he was tried of his working life while Haseena is still watching him.
“Yeh toh sach mein so gaye...” She murmured.
Haseena-suniye...(she called softly).
Anubhav(sleepy)-kya hua?
Haseena-uthiye na..(she brushed her knuckles over his arm).
Anubhav-kahiye...(he asked after lifting his eyelids).
Haseena-hume kal market jana hai...
Anubhav-hum aaj hi toh bazar se sabjiya lekar aaye hain...(yawning).
Haseena-sabji nhi, makeup kit lene...(she said, shocking him).
Anubhav-aap aur makeup..???
Haseena-hu..yeh nishan chhip jayenge phir hum pehle ki tarah dikhne lagenge...(she said gloomily).
Anubhav-kya..(he sits up straight), agar aapko makeup karna hai kariye par yeh insaan chhipane ka kya matlab hai...(she too sat)
Haseena-hume accha nhi lag rahe hai isliye chhipane hai..aap shishe mein khud ko dekhiye aur hume dekhiye, agar aapke kisi dost ne dekh liya toh kya kahenge aur sab chhodiye abhi toh aapko fark nhi pad raha hai par baad mein hum acche nhi lage toh, ek toh aise hi rang mein antar upar se chashma, aur ab yeh nishan.....(she said sadly).
Anubhav- aap jyada nhi soch rahi hai ya dawai ke ulte asar ho rahe hai...(he said tauntingly).
Haseena-Anubhav ji...(frowned).
Anubhav-aap bahot sundar hai Haseena ji, aur hamare liye aap hamesha hamari Chaand hi rahengi...
Haseena-jiske chehre par daag hai..(sadly).
Anubhav-daag nhi hai, yeh nishan toh malham se thik ho jayenge..(he said cupping her face).
Haseena-aur nhi huye toh?
Anubhav-toh bhi aap hamari Haseena ji hi rahengi...
Haseena-aap humse dur nhi bhagenge na...(She asked like an innocent kid, gazing into his eyes, seeking assurance for her feelings).
Anubhav-kabhi nhi...(smiling).
She smiles.
Anubhav-ab so jaiye, aur jyada mat sochiye..(he made her lay down, while wrapping her in his arms).
Haseena-accha suniye (he hummed, she lift her head till his ear and whispered something into it).
He smiles, and his hand moves from her waistline to her nape and his fingers brushing against her skin, sending chills down her spine. She blushed as his touch brought her comfort, dispelling her unwanted worries. Soon, he moved his hand from her back to her waist again and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Haseena-kya hua?
Anubhav-so jaiye warna papa ko pata chala na toh muhurat se pehle hi shaadi ho jayegi hamari...(he said smiling, pulling her more into him).
Haseena-unhe pata hai...
Anubhav-unhe sirf itna pata hai ki hum dono saath sote hai, usse jyada nhi aur abhi kuch hua toh kal subah hum dono ko unke jaane mein bhi sharm aayegi aur waise bhi abhi hume sach mein neend aa rahi hai...(he yawned).
Haseena-hum aapko ab acche nhi lagte kya...(she asked, feeling insecure about her scars).
A girl who never likes to do makeup or dress up also wants to look beautiful when she is with her man. It doesn't depend on age or a person's personality, because everyone wants to look their best with their loved ones. Haseena is in the same situation. She never used to wear makeup or put much effort into her appearance when she was alone or with her family. But when she's with him, she puts in extra effort, not because he didn't like her no-makeup look, but because she wants to look more beautiful than anyone else, so her man never gets attracted to someone else.
Anubhav-aisa nhi hai aap bahut achhi lagti hai hume par abhi hum pure din ke kaam se bahot thake huye hai isliye please so jaiye..
"Hum... She was about to reply but instead just hummed softly with a faint smile
He closed his eyes but again he felt her movement.

Haseena-hum pani pi kar aate hai...(she said).
Anubhav-yahi bottle mein hai...
Haseena-yeh basi hoga hoga, hum thanda pani pikar aate hai..(she said and before he could say, she get down from the bed and went to her room).
Next Morning ✨
"Aap jaiye na Haseena ji hum bana rahe hai na nashta...!" Anubhav firmly told Haseena, who was chopping vegetables.
Haseena-hum thik hai Anubhav ji...(she said flatly)
Anubhav-aap nhi hai, aapka itni der khada rehna thik nhi hai aur haath itna move karna bhi nhi...
Haseena-hum thik hai aap jaiye, office bhi jana hai aapko...(she said coldly).
Anubhav-abhi time hai, aap hatiye hum banate hai nashta...(he said trying to snatching knife from her)..
Haseena-hum ne kaha na hum thik hai, aap jaiye yahan se phir sunai nhi de raha hai aapko...jaiye...(she suddenly shouted on him).
He stepped back, surprised by her sudden anger.
Anubhav-Haseena ji...(worried).
Haseena-lijiye banaiye...(she threw the knife on the counter and walked out from the kitchen in anger).
While Anubhav is still standing and his mind is trying to process everything.
Keshav-kya hua beta...(he asked from behind).
Anubhav-kuch nhi...
Keshav-Haseena itne gusse mein kyun gyi?
Anubhav-unhe aaram karne ke liye bola isliye...shayad...
Keshav-bachapan se hi aisi hai, jabse iski maa gyi aaram ise pasand hi nhi aaya, Bua kitna samjhati thi par yeh sunti hi nhi thi....
Anubhav-hmm...hum baat karke aate hai...
Keshav-nhi nhi abhi mat jaiye, gusse mein hai aur gusse mein aapko kuch jyada bol diya toh...aap use shant hone dijiye....(he said, Anubhav nods with a hmm)

Hum aaj shaam ko thoda late aayenge office se, woh flat dekhne jana hai...!" Anubhav said to his father in law and Haseena.
Haseena-hmm...
Keshav-beta aate time hamari dawai bhi le aana...(he handed over the prescription and money to him).
Anubhav-ji...aate hai hum....(he said, taking his bag while his gaze remained fixed on Haseena, who was not looking at him).
Haseena-hmm...bye...(she said and walked to her room, ignoring further conversation).
Keshav-pareshan mat ho, itne din bistar par rahi phir akele ghar mein insaan chidchida ho jata hai... thik ho jayegi...(with a smile)
Anubhav-hum baat karke aate hai...(he replied to Keshav, still concerned about Haseena).
"Haseena ji...!" He knocked on her door, getting inside.
Haseena-hmm....
Anubhav-aap naraz hai humse...(he asked trying to watch her face as her back is facing him).
Haseena-hum naraz nhi hote aur agar honge bhi toh aapse kyun ho hum naraz...(she said coldly).
Anubhav-raat wali baat ke liye..
Haseena-hum nhi hai naraz kisi se, bas ab hume pareshaan mat kariye aur apne office jaiye...(plainly).
Anubhav-pehle aap baat suniye hamari...(he turns her towards himself, holding her shoulders).
Haseena-hume kuch nhi sunana, jaiye aap...(annoyed).
Anubhav-aap chid kyun rahi hai, baat sun lijiye...(he said softly)
Haseena-aap gussa dila rahe hai ab hume, please aap jaiye....
Anubhav-Haseena ji...
Haseena(angry)-nhi hai hum naraz aapse aur kyun hone lage hum naraz kisi se bhi jab hum jante hai kisi ke liye hum important nhi hai aur na kisi ke paas time hai...hum nhi hote naraz, kyunki hum hurt hi nhi hote aur honge bhi kyun, dil ki jagah patthar hai hamare paas jiski jo marji aayega bola, karega chala jayega hume fark thodi padta hai na padega aakhir yahi toh hai hamari zindagi...aur aap...aapse kyun honge hum naraz aapse toh pyaar karte hai, naraz kyun honge, aap thodi logon ki tarah badal rahe hai, aap toh abhi bhi waise hi jaise hamare accident se pehle the...(she burst out her anger).
Anubhav silently listened to her, still gazing into her eyes which were carrying anger.
Anubhav-thik hai aap nhi hai naraz, hum samjh gaye...dhyan rakhiyega apna hum aate hai office se...(he said calmly).
Haseena-haan toh jaiye, bye..
Anubhav-bye...(he said and left the room).
She sat on the floor, her back leaning against the footboard of the bed, tears rolling down her cheeks, sensing that something unspoken lingered between them.
