best maknae

1.1K 37 20
By ykoovr

summary: julie and jungkook compete against each other for the title of best maknae.

warning(s): cursing (?). theyre both so fucking annoying

author's note: finally a zhukook chapter!! anyways just wanted to let you know that this takes place in november/december of 2016, so julie and jk had already started their bickering 😭 it's not revised yet!

Jungkook watches with narrowed eyes as Julie rehearses her part in Gayodaejun's special stage along with his member, Jimin, and some other idols, like her own colleague, Lisa. She wears stylish, yet comfy clothes she could dance on, her moves slightly softer than what she would actually do when performing for the public.

They were thirteen in total, seven from the modern dance line, and six that would dance hip hop, all gathered across the medium-sized practice room at BigHit's building — Jimin's manager's suggestion when they were discussing for a place that wasn't Gayodaejun's stage, since it would be occupied with the preparations for the award show, for rehearse.

In the end, the two groups would reunite to dance the catchy chorus of In The Name Of Love, a song that was currently a bop that was being played everywhere from parties to supermarkets, being a great choice of the choreographer since it would probably hype even more the crowd when the time would come.

The beat slowed down as the dancers breathed heavily, a round of claps coming from five of the BTS members, six of them sat on the ground, watching closely.

"Julie was late." Was the first thing that left Jungkook's lips when the applauses came to an end.

Everyone looked between themselves as they drank some water from their water bottles, apart from Julie, who stood still, her cheeks flushed and breath heavy as she looked down at him.

"Excuse me?" She raised her brows, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Yeah." He nodded, a cocky smirk tugging up his lips. "I said that you were late."

"I was not late," she protested. "I was perfectly in sync with everyone."

"Uh, no." He said simply, still smirking as he pointed to the place where they'd finished all of their parts. "You were late on the last three counts."

"No, I wasn't." She spoke bitterly, before scoffing. "I don't even know why I'm listening to you, you're not even on the dance."

"And yet I can still see that you were late." He grinned, leaning slightly on his left side, his right elbow on his right knee as he placed his chin on his fist. "Why don't you admit it?"

"Because I was not late." She replied harshly, kneeling down to grab her own bottle of water before taking her place beside Momo and Lisa, getting right in front of him.

"Oh, did I hurt the princess's feelings?" He taunted, tilting his head. "Poor Julie, she must be so upset that she was too slow..."

As Julie was about to reply, Jimin sighed loudly on purpose, getting up from the floor with a groan. "Alright, break's over. And you two, shut the fuck up."

He tried to hold in a laugh to make sure they understood he was serious, even though the whole situation was sort of funny, before offering his hand to help Julie stand up, which she gladly took it.

"Aw, the knight in shining armour came to the princess's defense." Jungkook teased, using the tip of his tongue to poke his inner cheek. "Did your boyfriend get mad at me?"

Jimin and Julie both laughed at his accusation as all of the dancers got up from the floor — not having a clue of and being too tired to care what they were possibly talking about — ready to start rehearsing again after a few minutes of break.

It was true that, since the rehearsals for this special stage started, Jimin and Julie became closer. He would always help her with her moves when she didn't have enough time to practice, and they somewhat discovered their similar method of dancing and a lot of things they had in common that weren't really noticed before.

"Seriously, how do you get those ideas?" Park chuckled once more, drinking the last sip of water from his bottle.

"I can tell by how often you're with her."

Jungkook was actually surprised they weren't even trying to pretend they didn't have anything going on, it could be that she was just trying to make him jealous on purpose and if that was the case, maybe she was annoyingly succeeding.

He also adjusted his shirt, though it was already well-fit. "You're always together, she's always hanging out with you... it's obvious, Jimin-ssi."

"Oh, God," Julie couldn't help but roll her eyes in annoyance. "Why don't you go be annoying somewhere else, Jungkook?"

"Why don't you go and make out with Jimin in a corner?" Jungkook snickered, smirking at her while he crossed his arms and moved his weight onto his left foot again.

"He's just—" She cut herself off with a groan, before sighing loudly. "Whatever, it's not like I owe you an explanation anymore."

The smug, playful smile on his face faded as soon as her words hit his ears. His expression turning stern, his eyes sharp and his tone of voice on different, as he pointed a finger at her with a nod. "That's right. Because we broke up. Don't forget that."

"You can bet I won't." She spoke in the same timbre, looking at him up and down before turning her back, kneeling briefly to turn on the music.

Jungkook stayed silent, biting his tongue to not say anything more to her, as he crossed his arms and sat back down on the floor to watch the group as they worked.

He watched her for a few more minutes before sighing. She was doing all the right moves, but every time they both stopped and she'd look at him, he'd find himself staring back at her. Their eyes met at least twice. Twice during the first song.

Jungkook had to hold in a groan as he laid down on the floor, closing his eyes. The tension he felt between them had always been there since the day they broke up, but it was deeper, more intense every time they met.

It made him want to do something very stupid, like kiss her. Or slap her face. And kiss her right after.

The thought of touching her, the very same ex he was supposed to hate with all his might, made him mad, and he rolled on his back again and stared at the ceiling, trying to forget she was in the same room and that she looked so fucking good when she danced. He needed to control himself.

He did nothing. She kept dancing the choreo and he would keep looking at her in secret, unable to help but feel the way he did. He missed her and she was still beautiful in every way he had kept her memory in his head, no matter how hard he tried to get rid of if. All the anger and the jealousy he felt for her was already gone one more time, replaced only by that longing and love he couldn't erase — it was always like that, every fucking time they would see each other.

"Okay, enough for now." Bambam sang happily after stopping the music.

It wasn't the way it used to be, even though the chemistry between them was still there.

"Jungkook-ah?" He opened one of his eyes to look towards the sound of Jimin's voice calling his name. "Can you help Yooa with her footwork?"

Jungkook sighed, and looked back at Julie, who had stopped to have a drink of water and sat down next to Momo and Lisa once again, who were both also enjoying the time of rest.

Still, their eyes met.

He stayed on the floor for a few seconds, staring at her. He felt the urge to touch her hair, or anything at all, but before he could even think anything else, Park cleared his throat dramatically, snapping him out of it. "Jungkook-ah, please."

He called again. Jungkook's eyes flickered between Jimin and Julie, before he finally got up and walked towards Yooa.

"What do you need?" he asked politely, but the dancer didn't reply immediately, her eyes lost.

Jungkook wondered what she was thinking, but didn't feel the need to ask, and she finally turned her attention towards him, tugging a strand of her behind her ear.

"Jungkook-ah... I'm having a bit of a hard time to make my heels look good, can you show me how to do it properly?" She asked, her smile bright, and he could only sigh slightly.

"Sure." He stood beside her, placing his hands gently on her shoulders as he pointed down towards her legs. "Try to bend your knees, so most of your weight is on your thighs. Then move from your heel."

He stepped forwards with his left foot, still next to her, and she mimicked what he did perfectly, a sly smile on her face.

He had to stop himself from looking back at Julie, who seemed to try her best to listen to whatever Momo and Lisa were excitedly telling her, her eyes glancing up and down Yooa's — attempts of — interactions with him.

"I think you get the idea." He said as he pulled the older girl's shoulders slightly forward, which only made her bend more.

She tried to imitate him again, this time without his help, and Jungkook watched her bend the perfect way to go down on her heels, like she practiced the move before.

He clapped, and offered his hand to her to help her up again. "Good job, Yooa noona."

The dancer gave him a wide smile, thanking him for his help cheerfully before practically jumping on his much bigger body.

Julie couldn't help but roll her eyes as Yooa warmly placed her arms around Jungkook's neck as if she was his girlfriend — no, no, his wife — had three kids with him and knew him for twenty years already. Why did she have to throw herself at him that way? Was a simple "thank you" not enough to show her gratitude?

Before she could think about it, she was already getting up from the ground and walking towards them, gently pushing the girl off him with the sweetest smile she could manage. "Did you get it right now, unnie?"

She asked, trying her best to hold in the sarcasm as the older nodded. "Jungkook sunbaenim is a great teacher, maybe we could meet up for more dance rounds later."

The way Yooa winked at him made Julie's blood boil, but she quickly masked it up with a fake laugh, briefly glancing at Jungkook before speaking.

"Of course," she smiled falsely. "But later, we still need to practice."

Jungkook had to hold in a laughter as he looked between the two girls, shamelessly winking back at Yooa before lifting his hand as a wave. "Yeah, later."

The older girl happily turned her back after purposely brushing her leg against his, almost hopping back to her place as Julie and Jungkook stood still, and he couldn't hold the smirk after seeing her arms crossed.

"Don't you also have some practice to do?"

"Don't you have other girls to hit on?" She smiled sarcastically, not even looking at him as she kept her eyes down at Yooa — being a lot taller than her —, as the shorter girl walked away.

"Why?" Jungkook's smirk was still there, as he stared at Julie when she wouldn't even glance at him. "Do you feel jealous? You shouldn't, after all we're not together anymore. I'm free to hit on anyone I want, just like you."

"Of course," she finally looked back at him, an ironic smile curving her lips. "But, you know, I just find it funny that every girl you hit on is one of my friends. Can't you get anyone that's not on my circle?"

He smirked once more, a smug chuckle leaving his throat as he shook his head in amusement, the dark strands of his hair moving smoothly, his shoulders dropping in a mindless shrug. "Maybe I just like it this way."

"It's not my problem if you're an exhibitionist." She leaned forward to speak harshly in his face, her breath tingling his lips as her nails sunk into his chest. "I don't want to see it."

"Well, too fucking bad." His tone was barely heard between the muffled sound of everyone talking around them, but she could still feel his voice ringing in her ears as one of his hands closed around her wrist, pulling her arm down.

He was definitely doing this on purpose, she could see by the way his lips curved into the most smug smile she had ever seen.

She harshly waved her wrist off his grip, placing her palms flat on his chest only to push him before turning her back with an audible huff, her hips swaying as she walked towards the center of the room, ready to start rehearsing again.

***

The performances for Gayodaejun were coming up, and the dancers were practicing together once more. Jungkook did notice that Julie was more nervous than usual, and he knew it was because of all the cameras and eyes that would be on her as soon as it was time to perform.

He was a little nervous himself, as he looked around everyone practicing, watching carefully as they danced. They were so amazing, so beautiful, so talented in this art, and he watched every single one of their movements.

It was late in the evening, and the stage itself was already ready. It looked beautiful, with the lights and the design made in black and silver, with all kinds of decorations everywhere. Members of the crew were moving here and there, checking if everything was alright, while Jungkook was practicing his vocals with Seokjin, their voices being heard throughout the place.

Even if the tension from earlier hadn't disappeared, it was a bit more calm, and everyone was focused on the upcoming performance. It was going to be one of the most watched shows of the year, after all.

He knew it was Julie's first time performing at an award show, since BLACKPINK had debuted only four months before. And yet she was invited to participate in the Opening Stage of the show with a bunch of seniors, like Jimin, Yugyeom, Bambam, and even her friend Momo.

It was not like she doubted her own potential, she knew she was on the same level – maybe even higher – as them as a dancer, but the thought that they had all done this before while it was her first time didn't help her nerves.

"Don't be nervous, we've been doing this since forever." Momo spoke, gently fixing Julie's hairstyle with her fingers.

Jimin smiled comfortingly. "I can go over some steps with you, if you want."

Jungkook watched the scene from his seat, slightly on the back. He knew by experience she was amazing. He knew she was probably going through a lot right now, as everyone wanted to shine in award shows, especially the rookies, as they could be introduced to the public.

Momo's words helped calm Julie down, and Jimin's smile was reassuring.

She smiled back at both of them, before speaking. "It's just... everything is so new, and there are so many cameras and people watching. But I'm ready, don't worry."

Before they could say anything else, Lisa ran towards them, already dressed in her outfit as well, being slightly different from Momo's, Jimin's and Julie's all-black loose lacy ones, since she would be dancing hip hop instead of modern dance, like them.

"Hey," she greeted, placing one of her hands on the youngest's shoulder before looking directly at her. "Are you ready?"

Julie nodded, turning to face Lisa. She looked around briefly, taking in the huge stage, the full seats, the dancers everywhere and the huge spotlight on top of the platform. "I hope I don't mess anything up."

The nerves were there, but the excitement of her first ever performance at a ceremony like this was even stronger. She wanted to do everything perfectly, after all, this was her first time in this position, being on such a big stage with so much to prove.

"You'll do fine, don't worry." Jimin said, trying to reassure her. "Just remember, all we have to do right now is do exactly like we did in the rehearsals, and everything will go fine."

"Don't be too pressured." Momo nodded at her. "Just do your best, okay?"

"Okay," she smiled at the three of them, her heart beating faster as the lights went down. "Let's do this."

A staff came and leaded the four towards the stage as the rest of the idols who would perform with them were already in their positions, the classic tune starting a few seconds later, being slightly masked by the loud claps and cheers of the crowd.

The music and lights started, and Julie's face turned a little nervous, but she still kept a serious facade, just like rehearsed before. She was trying her best to do everything right, even if in her head and her heart, she was absolutely freaking out.

But once the music started, and everyone had to remember the choreo they'd been practicing for what felt like forever, she just had to let her emotions go and do the job. She was a professional, and the other dancers were counting on her.

She was a natural at dancing and, even if she felt nervous about being on such a big stage for the first time, she did everything perfectly. She danced as if she didn't care for all those cameras and people watching her and that was what they needed, a confident performer that didn't get affected by all the distractions.

At the end, she got a huge ovation and she looked happy and proud of herself. The audience really liked her. Everyone praised her, from the staff to her seniors and even the audience.

Julie did great, and that's exactly what she needed. The crowd adored her, and that meant the pressure was off her shoulders for a second. She had to feel proud of the job she'd done.

When the lights went off again, all the dancers ran backstage, and Lisa immediately pulled her into a hug, not caring one bit about their sweaty bodies as she jumped and they both squealed happily.

It didn't take long for the rest of the members of BLACKPINK to come and embrace them as well, proud of the two youngest of the group and how amazingly they gave their name right onstage.

"We're so proud of you two," Jennie cooed. "Really, you were amazing up there!"

"I feel like I'm about to puke right now." Lisa joked, making them all laugh as she breathed heavily.

Julie laughed with her, feeling a little better now that the harder part was over. Her nerves were still there, but she couldn't help but feel happy after everyone she admired praising her for her performance. Her heart beat quickly, the adrenaline going through her veins, but she was feeling good, and she definitely felt the pressure of this whole thing falling off.

"I have to say, it was fun." She smiled at the other members, her eyes still wide even if she was a little calmer by now. "I guess I'm going to need to get used to this."

"And it better be soon because we're entering the stage in fifteen." Rosé spoke up nervously. "The staff are waiting for you two to change in the dressing room."

But it was fine. She was feeling happy, and confident, even though everything was still new and she would definitely be nervous again when she went back for the main performance.

She was still young, it was normal to feel like this. Although as long as she kept dancing, she knew this would be her future. She just had to get a used to the nerves.

The two started changing once they went inside the dressing rooms, and it soon turned into a chaotic scene as everyone was talking about their performance and how excited they already were for the next one to come.

They couldn't stand still for a minute more, wanting to go back onstage and dance again.

They loved what they did, beyond everything, it was what they trained for, and all that excitement and happiness definitely boosted their feelings after just nailing the Gayodaejun Opening Stage.

Their happiness soon turned into screams and cheers as the time came for them to go back on stage for the main performance together.

The stage was even bigger now, and everything felt just more and more impressive than it was before. But no one felt scared of being up there anymore. In fact, they were even more confident than ever. They knew they would do amazing once again, and they couldn't wait to go back out there and show it to the audience.

The crowd started chanting their names a few seconds later, and the music started again. The girls had their outfits on already, as they made their way towards the stage for round two.

Julie was the first in line, leading the way on as she couldn't contain her excitement for this new performance. She could feel her heart beating faster, and her palms sweating, but at the same time, she felt her spirits high and was ready to go onstage and blow away the crowd again, now that she didn't have to be as nervous as before.

Round two. The final performance, this time together as a group of five performing together in front of more than thirty thousand people. And yet, there wasn't as much pressure in the air anymore. Everyone already knew what they were doing, as well as who they could count on if they felt a little nervous and stressed just a few minutes ago.

The audience adored them, and it felt amazing to see everyone's eyes focused on them, the excitement of seeing them performing, the lights and everything else. It was truly a big moment.

***

The audience was tense, the music playing as the MCs announced the nominations for the Best Maknae category of the show, the screams from the crowd loud as they were sure their idols would have their chance to win, including Julie and Jungkook.

As the award ceremony went on, the tension between them came back once again, as they were competing for the same award. They both looked at each other as the host spoke, but neither of them dared to say anything.

Jungkook felt like he had a good chance of winning, as he did the year before, but he didn't want to underestimate Julie, who was most likely to have more fans than he thought, especially after the opening performance. The two of them were the main competitors, for sure.

"EXO's Sehun, Oh My Girl's Arin," the MC continued announcing, photos and videos of the nominees filling the screen behind them as the camera focused on their faces, the crowd chanting. "BTS's Jungkook, and our rookie, BLACKPINK's Julie."

Some people cheered more when they heard Julie's name after Jungkook's, and he had to mask his annoyance, feeling like he wanted to win even more this year. No, he needed to.

The crowd was divided almost evenly between the two of them, as unfortunately no one really thought Arin or Sehun or anyone else could win this time.

BLACKPINK's fanbase was considerably big within four months, and they were obviously voting for Julie to win. But there were still fans of BTS in the audience, who were getting known this year for being hard voters — which meant that the race was tight.

The MC looked at the crowd, visibly trying to figure out who they were rooting for before officially giving the results, but it was hard to predict. Both groups were getting their recognition worldwide, and the two idols were equally popular. It could go either way.

The host smiled for a few seconds, and then decided to put a stop to their anxious moment. "And the Best Maknae of 2016 is..."

He paused for a few seconds, his hands holding the card with the name of the winner, making their anxiousness build up, and the crowd go wild with screams and cheers as they waited for the announcement.

Julie was trying her best not to look straight at Jungkook, her heart beating fast, wanting to win and feeling that it was her moment.

Jungkook, however, didn't bother to hide, his eyes fixed on her, waiting for the host to speak. He was nervous, but he felt confident, like he really deserved this award and was going to get it again.

"BLACKPINK's Julie, congratulations!" The host yelled, the audience screaming along with him. Julie closed her eyes and sighed in relief, feeling her nerves disappearing and the beat of her heart finally slowing down.

The chants echoed louder as soon as the host announced Julie as a winner. Some people cheered, others cheered more when Jungkook's name came up. But even so, the audience loved and adored her. She had stolen the show, and now she'd won the award.

The cameras turned to Jungkook's face, and it stayed still for a few seconds, watching him as his expression seemed bitter, putting on his brightest smile as soon as he noticed it, clapping weakly.

Jungkook hated losing. And he hated even more if it was to his fucking ex who would always get what she wanted.

Julie's lips were parted in amusement. She didn't expect to win the award, especially not when her fellow competitor was Jungkook.

The truth was, he was annoyed. He wanted to win the award again, and having seen so many people cheering for Julie made him feel like he'd lost their internal game.

She immediately hugged back the other members of her group, her eyes sparkling with happiness as the audience cheered and chanted her name again. She really did deserve the award, she'd done amazing as the group's maknae. She was young and hadn't debuted for a long time, and yet she was already doing amazing in the industry, just like he knew she would.

Julie's hands reached the award, and she looked around, smiling as her eyes settled on Jungkook's face for a long second, her tugged-up lips not faltering even for a millisecond. It looked as if she wanted to say something, to comment about how he'd lost and she'd won. But she decided not to say anything, as she had the microphone right in front of her lips and all eyes were on her.

"I'd like to dedicate this award to my family, friends, and everyone who has helped me reach this point. And to my members, my four beautiful unnies."

Jungkook took advantage the camera was full focused on Julie to roll his eyes, looking away from her.

She was satisfied, and her bright smile didn't fade as she held the award in her hands, her pose perfect as the cameras were all over her, making her victory seem even grander. Some people wanted her to talk more, to say some witty comment because that was the trend these days.

But Julie said what she had to, what she felt was right to say, and no one could say that there wasn't any honesty in her words. And in the end, she was a young girl, she would learn and she would keep growing.

As she walked away from the stage, everyone was still talking about her win, the audience proud as she smiled to everyone in the crowd and the other idols present, and bowed deeply.

Everyone talked about how adorable she was, and how she deserved to win the award. For a young girl, she was a true professional, and she wasn't worried about anything. She'd show everyone how amazing and talented she was, and in no time, she'd become a staple in the industry.

***

"It tastes so sweet." She sighed pleasantly. "You know, my victory. Not what you would understand anyway."

Julie looked down at Jungkook sitting on the dressing room's sofa, angrily tapping his feet against the floor as their groups decided to reunite to eat after the show ended, before going home.

"I don't care. I could have won."

"But you didn't." She laughed, speaking in a sing-song voice.

"If it was a popularity contest then maybe you deserve it. However, it's supposed to be about the maknaes' skills and talent." He replied with annoyance in his tone, looking up at her as if he was explaining to his little sister how to do her homework and was already tired of it.

Julie rolled her eyes, the smug smile never leaving her lips as she carefully placed the gold-bathed award onto the dressing table. "You're just blabbering nonsense, as always, because you lost."

"Oh, I'm blabbering nonsense?" Jungkook asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked at her. His lips curled up. "You're talking about winning something when you can't even do a choreo properly."

"Aw," she faked a pout. "Gonna cry yourself to sleep, Jungkookie?"

"I should ask you that question. You're the one who lost me as a boyfriend." He shrugged, smirking cheekily as his fingers tapped against the armrest.

She simply laughed loudly at his words.

"I'm just saying. If you think winning this award can replace me— Oh, wait, it can't." He paused, mimicking her own pout. "What a shame."

She looked briefly taken aback by his remark, her lips opening and closing to form a phrase before groaning, rolling her eyes. "Whatever, it's not like I'm listening to someone who can't even win a minor category."

"I'm not upset that I lost." He turned to look at her and spoke in a sarcastic tone. "I'm mad that you won, because the award should be for talent, skills, and hard work, and you have none of that."

"Says you."

"What? That's your answer?" He asked, his voice filled with annoyance as he looked at her. "What do you have to back you up then? If we compare careers, I did way more than you."

"Another proof that I'm better." She shrugged mindlessly, looking at herself on the mirror as her fingers gently patted her face, fixing her makeup. "I debuted three years after you did and yet I won, people chose me. What's your point?"

"My point is, you're useless and can't do anything." He replied with a blank expression, leaning his back against the sofa. "You're just pretty and that's all you'll ever be."

She scoffed at his words, laughing as she prompted herself on the chair, swirling it to look at him. "So, you're basically saying that you're ugly? Aw, I didn't know you were so depressed, Jungkookie."

"The only thing making you pretty is that stupid make up you put on. If you take it off, you'd get mistaken as a lizard." He smirked. "Or even as a pig."

"Well, your case is worse then because, even with makeup, you still look like a pig." She smiled back, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

"If I'm a pig, you're the whole farm."

"Aw, poor me." She faked a frown, looking at his figure up and down. "Because probably just your gigantic nose would occupy the whole barn already."

"You seemed to like how gigantic it is when it was was between your legs."

The next thing she heard after the gasps of their members in unison was the sound of Taehyung choking on his sandwich as Jennie cautiously patted his back, offering her bottle of juice as he gladly took it.

Julie's lips parted in shock, her brows scrunching up in a frustrated frown as she tried to come up with anything to say, but failed miserably. She looked around, hoping anyone would come to her defense, but they simply shrugged and looked away, pretending to still care about Taehyung's struggle for air as he fake coughed.

Satisfied that she couldn't seem to have a comeback, Jungkook spoke again. "At least I don't look like an ugly lizard."

"But you look like a deformed frog." For that, she knew what to say.

"And you look like—"

"Enough!" Namjoon interrupted, their members letting out loud groans of satisfaction as the bickering finally came to an end. "Seriously, you two, this is ridiculous! You look like little kids like that."

Jungkook pouted, his cheeks filling up with air as he pointed at her with a mumble. "She started it."

"It's not my fault you can't take a little teasing." Julie mindlessly shrugged, looking away with a huff.

"Telling me I look like a frog is not teasing." He replied in an annoyed tone, like a little boy telling his dad what someone did to him. His words made Julie silent at first, now knowing what to say back, but she quickly recovered.

"Oh, no, that wasn't teasing, that was just the truth."

"Whatever, you can take that award and shove it up your—"

"Okay, okay!" Seokjin stepped between them, pushing his hand over Jungkook's lips to stop him from finishing as, if Julie reported him — which it wasn't worth the doubt — they might get in trouble and potentially lose some of their awards of that night, the action making him slightly trip away from her as she simply rolled her eyes. "Fuck awards, fuck frogs, fuck lizards, okay?"

Jeon smirked and glanced up at her. "And pigs."

"Yes, and pigs!" Hoseok got up from his sit with his mouth full, nodding happily. "Fuck pigs too!"

His words made everyone in the room, that were already tired and upset, laugh, the mood finally getting lighter as Julie walked away to sit between her members, that started talking and offering some food to her.

Jungkook looked at Julie's back while still grinning at her before grabbing a sandwich for himself.

He loved teasing her, it was just fun and entertaining. He had to fight the urge to tell her some other animal-related insult for the rest of the night in order to not have Namjoon scolding him again, even if it was too hard.
