Blade did not listen. In other words, he did not want to. Why should he when he's having so much fun?

He can feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins as he engages himself completely in the battle.

He lost all his senses as he attacked the Mara-Strucks repeatedly with lethal force, his lips twitching up in a smirk.

Oh, how he enjoyed the feeling and the thrill of the battle.

However, he felt a strange feeling of rage when he heard her cry out.

His eyes immediately went to the tassel among the Mara-Strucks on the ground.

And launched towards it, not caring if he is going to be stabbed by the Mara-Strucks.

Their blades pierce through him, stopping his movement.

Only for a second.

He sends them to death with a swing of his sword and pulls their blades out of his body, blood dripping from the wound.

He wiped the blood away from the corner of his mouth. "Not enough."

He kicked the Mara-Strucks away, taking away their last breath, until he is the last one standing among the corpses and armor.

Cordelia rushed towards him. "Are you serious?! Charging in recklessly will get you killed!"

He looked down at the ground and picked up the tassel among the corpses.

He then held out his hand.

She stared at his hand and tilted her head slightly.

"What...?"

Blade took one of her hands and place the silvery white tassel in her hand. "Here."

She looked at the soft tassel in her hand.

Thankfully, the tassel was attached together in one piece. She sighed in relief and shake the dust off from the tassel.

"Thank you, but really, you don't have to do this."

Blade stared at her expressionlessly.

"I didn't do it for you, I did it for me."

She gazed at him for a moment. And then she sighed. "Even so, charging in so recklessly..."

She sighed again but peered closely at his stab wounds. Blood poured out of wounds nonstop.

She reaches out her hand to heal it.

Blade saw what she was doing and grasped her hand.

"Unnecessary." He grumbled, still holding her hand in his.

She looked up at him, her eyebrows furrowed together in frustration and confusion.

"You have several stab wounds and you don't want to heal them?"

He stared at her with his cold eyes while still tightening the grip on her hand.

He suddenly leaned forward. His lips brush slightly against her ear as he whispers, "Don't waste your energy."

Her eyes widen at the tingling sensation on her ear.

Before she could respond, he pulled away. However, this time, when she look at his wounds, they're gone.

Gone. Completely.

Traces of blood remained around the spots where the wounds were a few minutes ago.

She was shocked, but at the same time, she was not.

She looked up at him.

Her eyes widen slightly and shook her head, still seeing double of the man standing in front of her.

A headache suddenly hits her, a wave of pain went through her head.

It felt as if her head was splitting apart.

Suddenly, there was blood everywhere. Two blurry figures appeared in front of her.

A black haired man was lying on the ground while a white-haired woman stood over him, stabbing him repeated in the chest.

The man let out cries of pain as his blood formed a pool around him.

She watched on, restrained by the cloud knights, trying to get out of their grasps to help him, to stop the woman from stabbing the man any further.

She opened her mouth to said something, anything.

No sounds came out.

It felt as if her vocal cord was blocked. As if someone has wrapped their hands around her neck tightly, squeezing her throat.

She flinched back and saw Blade standing in front of her, feeling a sharp pain on her cheek.

He withdrew his bandaged hand from her cheek, looking at her with a grumpy expression on his face. "Stop zoning out."

He turned and walked away. "Let's go, Kafka already went ahead."

Her hand went to touch her cheek, where he had pinched her and looked around. No signs of cloud knights or the two mysterious figures.

The two mysterious figures...

Does she know them? Maybe.

But she is sure of one thing.

They feel familiar. Mysteriously familiar.

"Hurry up."

She turned around at the sound. Blade stood a few feet away, still looking a bit grumpy, his arms crossed over his chest.

She nodded and walked up to him.

She was starting to think he only have two expressions. Being grumpy and smirking while throwing himself into danger.

She let out a quiet sigh as she walked next to him. Why is she even here? What is she doing here?

Getting kidnapped by a Stellaron Hunter isn't the best ideal situation to be in. And what's worst, she doesn't know where he's taking her.

She felt a buzzing sensation in her pocket.

She reached into her pocket and took out her phone to see three messages from Caelus.

Caelus: How're things going on your side?
Caelus: We're going to the Alchemy Commission.
Caelus: So many Mara-Struck Abominations here.

She smiles softly as she type in a response and click sent.

Message sent failed

Her lips twitched downward slightly. Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she quickly type in another response.

Message sent failed.

She stared at her phone for a few seconds before putting it away, letting out a small sigh.

"Maybe the connection is bad. I should try again later." She thought to herself.

Blade watched from beside her, feeling a bit annoyed.

For some reason that he doesn't know.

Like the type of annoyance he would feel when Silver Wolf pesters him to play with her in that world she calls "game." Especially when he has better things to do. Like training his sword. Or finding ways to make death come faster.

Not that it ever does anyway.

He doesn't and won't care if Kafka texts Silver Wolf, or if Sam texts Kafka. Or if Elio texts Sam.

So why would he feel annoyed when this woman beside him texts other people? Especially another man?

The dark-haired man knew that he shouldn't do this but still, he couldn't help but take a peek.

Caelus was the name of the person she was texting.

Caelus? That boy who Kafka have planted a Stellaron inside his body?

He let out a scoff as he looked ahead, but still eyeing her out of the corner of his eyes.

Ye Ying. Or whatever she calls herself now, she still looks the same as he remembers. Just as gorgeous.

His memories of her, so hazy and faint, yet full of life.

So close to her, yet so far.
