After The Red Hair Pirates left the Dawn island, Shanks still stood on the deck of his ship and looked in the direction of the island till he couldn't see the sight of it. Shanks then called Lucky, Ben, Yasopp to meet him in the captain's cabin. When they all settled in his room, Shanks spoke up
"I know you guys have a lot of questions about the future, and I'm glad that none of you have said anything about it since that day. I want it to stay hidden, we need to keep fewer people knowing about it as possible."
"That's also what we have been thinking, but Shanks, did Luffy give you anything? Like information about the enemy or what we should do to prevent war?" Ben asked.
"Oh, right! He gave me a letter, which contained what he wanted us to do to help him. Give me a sec."
Shanks then took the letter out of his pocket and unfolded it. Inside the letter, read
Hi Shanks,
I know you guys are curious about the future, but I won't give you anything, except some information which I need you to change for the better. And where is the fun in your adventure if you've already heard about it from me, right?
Anyways, here is something I want you to do.
1. Could you pick up Zoro? He's from Shimostuki village. Zoro should be in a dojo, so it's easy to find him. When you see him, please take him to Mihawk, he'll know what to do.
2. When you meet the Whitebeard Pirates, tell Marco to meet me in 1 month. I need something to do, so I won't be on the island for the next 1 month. You already know the code I gave you to confirm if it was him or not.
3. In the mean time, could you find the Mera Mera no mi for me, I want Ace to have it early, so I could train him more. If you worry about Yami Yami no mi, I decided to give it to Thatch since he was the one who found it first.
4. When you come to give me the fruit, could you take Rayleigh to the island for me? That was Roger's wish before we came here. You can talk to Marco since it was him who was supposed to bring Rayleigh here.
5. When you return to the New World, please pick up Uta. I know what happened to her. But leaving Uta on that island isn't a good idea.
That's all I want you to do. If I guessed right, then Marco would only tell the Giant Ossan about the future, so be careful of what you want to do. See you later, Tomato head.

The four men inside the room stayed silent for a minute after they had read the letter. They needed to let the information sink into their heads. After a while, all four looked at each other and laughed their asses off.
"That brat, dare to order me around like that" Shanks said with a smirk of amusement.
"Even though he's from the future. The Anchor didn't seem to change at all. Ahahahahah...." Lucky laughed
"You got threatened by a kid, Boss. Better be careful when you're around Mihawk or, esle a young Pirate King will come for your head, Cap" Yasopp said, which got Shanks to shiver and he began to imagine what the kid could do to him.
After a few minutes for them to calm down, Shanks sat straight up and gave orders to his men.
"Yasopp, you can use one of our small ships and take Hongo with you. After we pick up the moss head chibi, we will go to your island. And yes, your wife and son can travel with us since Luffy has said that already."
"Thank you, Cap" Yasopp said with all of his gratitude while bowing in front of his Captain.
After a few more discussions about the other issues, they all left the cabin and did their work. Yasopp quickly went to the infirmary to get Hongo and leave. The Red Force then changed their way to the village. Shanks couldn't say he wasn't interested in his Anchor's swordman. After all, he was Mihawk's apprentice in the future. He must have something for the cold man to recognize him.
'Can't wait to meet that boy' thought Shanks.
-Shimotsuki village-
Inside a dojo, stood a young boy around 9 years old with short green hair. He had always dreamt of one day become the strongest swordman since the day he knew about swordmanship. But first he had to win his best friend, whose father was this dojo's owner and his teacher, so he kept on training till he could beat her and became stronger. Now, the young swordman was training with a bamboo sword in his hand, sweat could be seen on his face but he wasn't going to give up his training any time soon. Suddenly, some one ran to him and said
"Oi, Zoro! There is some one want to meet you"
But the green hair boy, now named Zoro, didn't stop. He kept on training, then he saw two man, who was led by the previous boy, walked toward him. The one with red hair seemed to catch his interest with his sword on his waist and a scar on his left eye, while the other with black had two guns on his waist. Then the red hair man spoke up
"Hey, kid! Are you Roronoa Zoro?"
Zoro then stoped and look at the two men with cold eyes. Then he answered
"What do you want?"
"I'll take that as a yes then. Anyways, do you want to come with us? I could see you're interested in sword, and I just know some one would wilingly put you under his wings. What do you say?" Shanks said with a smile
"Why should I go with you? I can train by my own, so thanks for the offer."
Shanks had a sweat drop when he heard Zoro's answer. He had figured that this wouldn't be easy, because he was one of the Strawhat's members. Then Shanks tried again
"Don't you want to become stronger? If you become his apprentice, you could easily become the strongest man out there."
Ben must admit, his Captain wasn't good at talking. Maybe he could give Shanks a hand. Ben then walked closer to Zoro and said
"What is your sword style, Kid?"
"Three. swords style" Zoro answered coldly.
"I got a deal for you. That red-haired man over there will fight you. If we win, you will come with us." This caught Zoro's interest.
"And what if I win?" He asked Ben.
"Then, we will leave you alone. It's not like you can win him, kid. He's as strong as the strongest swordman"
Ben seemed to know how to handle the kid, he easily made Zoro fall into his trap with what he had just said. Maybe being surrounded by stubborn idiots could also bring benefits to him. Shanks knew what Ben was trying to do, so he made the final straw.
"Are you scared of losing, kid?"
Zoro then fully fell into the trap which was made by the two adults. He was mad at the strangers who had underestimated his potential. Zoro knew he was no match for the red hair, but his ego didn't allow him to admit that. Zoro then said
"WHO SAY I AM GOING TO LOSE? WE HAVEN'T STARTED THE FIGHT YET, YOU TOMATO HEAD"
"I'M NOT A TOMATO HEAD, YOU MOSS HEAD" Shanks angrily barked back.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY, TOMATO HEAD? YOU WANT TO FIGHT!"
"BRING IT ON THEN, MOSS HEAD"
The two of them then went to prepare for the match, and left Ben to question his choice of life when he saw his captain was bickering with another kid for the second time.
'Why do I want to follow him again? What is wrong with me back then?' Ben then left out a long sign to show his frustration.
A few minutes had passed, Shanks and Zoro were surrounded by a lot of people from the dojo. Standing in the middle was the dojo's master, Koushiro, who volunteered to be the judge of this match. Shanks and Zoro both fight with the bamboo swords of the dojo. When the match started, they still stood in their place. Then suddenly, Zoro started to run forward and hit Shanks, but Shanks quickly shielded himself. Zoro was faster and stronger than the kids of his age, but this didn't bother Shanks much.
The red hair then pushed Zoro away and disappeared in front of everyone, which made others speechless, except for the other two adults, because Shanks didn't disappear, he was just running very fast. Suddenly, Shanks stood in front of Zoro and made the kid fall to the ground. He then put the bamboo sword toward Zoro's throat to declare who was the winner. The child was stunned, but you could see a sight of admiration in his eyes. After Shanks helped the kid stand up, Zoro then said
"I lost, so I'll go with you guys like we have dealt with. But what are your names? I still don't know how to call you"
Ben walked slowly to them while introducing themselves.
"My name is Ben Beckman. Just call me Ben. That man's name is Shanks. He is my captain. We are the Red Hair Pirates"
Zoro was suprised, they were pirates. But they didn't seem like one. Suddenly, Shanks laughed when he saw the look on Zoro's face.
"Dahahaha....Not every pirate is the same kid. We are the pirates who seek for adventure and freedom, not the ones who seek for chaos and dirty work"
"I guess I'll become a pirate and join you guys, right? Since it was part of the deal."
"No, you won't need to join us, but you will join my friend's crew in the future. I'm here to pick up and help you prepare before the time comes. Since you're adopted by my lover, why don't you start to call me dad?"
"In your dream, old man"
You could see a glimpse of happiness in Zoro's eyes when he heard Shanks would adopt him to their family. Zoro had always been an orphan, he never knew how it felt to have parents. But now everything would change, Zoro would have a family of his own. He just couldn't wait to find out about his new family.
After he had packed up his things from the dojo, he quickly went to say goodbye to all his friends and Kuina, his best friend. They had sworn to become stronger and challenged each other for the strongest swordman position. When he had finished, Zoro then went along with Ben and Shanks to Red Force. Zoro was awestruck. He had never seen a Pirate ship before. Suddenly, Shanks said,
"Follow Lucky, he will show you where your room is. After that, come here so I can introduce you to everyone. We need to go and pick up my nakama from his hometown."
Zoro nodded his head to show he had listened, then he followed Lucky to his new room.
