Authors POV
"Yeah, I heard everything," she heard the voice and turned around, but before she could utter a word, she was engulfed in a bear hug.
"I love you so fucking much," Arnav mumbled, hugging her tightly.
"Arnav, when did you come?" she asked as she came out of his embrace.
"Just now," he replied and kissed her forehead.
"Thank you, butterfly... Thank you so much for trusting me that much. You don't know how much it made me happy," he exclaimed and hugged her again.
"I missed you," she breathed out, wrapping her hands around him.
"Did you miss me?" she asked once she unwrapped her hands.
"You have no idea," he said as he ruffled her hair lovingly.
"Why didn't you call me?" she asked with a pout and he pecked her pout before answering her.
"I am sorry, there was something wrong with the branch office," he replied.
But little did he know that it was all his father's plan to make her misunderstand him.
"I just came back and was about to call you, but you called me instead and it turned out to be this," he explained.
"Let's go," she commented, holding his hand.
"Wait for me here," he remarked was about to go into the coffee shop.
"Where are you going?" she asked, holding him back.
"I need to talk to him," he said, referring to his father.
"No, don't do that," she commented. And he raised his eyebrow in a questioning manner.
"I already pissed him off. Now, don't go and piss him off more," she replied, dragging him to the car.
He nodded and opened the car door for her. She climbed in and they started.
"Let's have ice-cream," she asked cutely, and he stopped car in front of an ice cream parlor.
"Is everything settled now?" she asked.
"Yeah, everything is fine now, but it needs another visit," he commented.
"You will go there again?" she asked with a pout.
"This time, we will send Ajay," he smirked, and she laughed.
After having ice-cream, they drove back to her home.
"Do you have to go?" he asked as he stopped the car in front of her house.
"Yeah, I told mom that I am coming," she remarked, holding his hand.
"I will miss you," he said, holding her near his chest.
She removed her seat belt and hugged him, saying, "I will miss you too"
He looked at her and she nodded, then he captured her lips in a passionate kiss, pouring all his love.
After their little make-out session, they got out of the car and went to her house.
"Girls, are you ready?" Naina exclaimed as soon as she entered.
"We are waiting for you," Payal remarked, turning her attention from TV to Naina, and that's when she saw Arnav.
"Hey, Arnav," she greeted, and he greeted her back.
"You are back," Pooja commented, coming out of the bedroom.
"Yup," Arnav replied, waving his hand.
After their little chat, Arnav put their luggage on the car trunk, and gave send off to them.
Pooja started the car while Naina took the passenger's seat and Payal sat in the back seat.
"Girls, did you realize we all dressed like powerpuff girls," Naina exclaimed, observing their outfits.
Naina wore a blue dress while Pooja wore a green one and Payal dressed in tomato color.
"Yes," the three laughed.
"When did you take your car back from Rana?" Naina asked Pooja.
"One month after our breakup, that asshole damaged it like hell. I have spent a lot of money to fix it," Pooja sneered.
"That bastard," Naina huffed.
"I just want to smack his face," Pooja scoffed.
"Let's just smack his face then," Naina remarked. "What say Payal?"
"Of course, I would love to do that," she remarked.
"No, leave it. He is going to engage today," Pooja breathed out.
"Do you want us to slap him?" Naina asked.
"And it's the best idea to smack him," Payal agreed.
"I don't know," Pooja sighed.
"Let's go and slap him, then you will feel better," Payal urged her.
"After what he has done to you, he deserves a slap at least," Naina remarked.
"Ok, let's do this," Pooja agreed and took a sharp turn to go to the function hall, where his engagement was ongoing.
"Girls, I don't think I can come," Pooja remarked as the car halted at the venue.
"Ok, the plan is... Pooja, you be ready with the car. Payal and I go and smack his face and we will rush to the car and we will drive off before they reach us," Naina explained the plan, and the three gave high-fives to each other.
"But, Naina, let's do this without any proof, otherwise he can sue us considering how cunning he is... let's not be involved in risks," Payal commented and Naina agreed.
"Then I will call him out," Naina remarked as they climbed out of the car.
"Girls, be careful," Pooja said worriedly.
Naina and Payal stood under a tree backside of the building where Pooja could see them.
"Hello, Rana... this is Naina here," she said as she called him.
"Why did you call me at this hour?" he asked as he was irritated.
"Can you come out for a bit?" she replied, ignoring his irritated voice.
"Why?" he remarked.
"I have something to tell you," she stated.
"I have nothing to do with you,"
"If you don't come out, then Pooja and I will come in and create a mess there," Naina threatened him.
"Wait—I will come," he said after a brief silence.
After 10 minutes, they saw him coming towards them.
"Get ready," she whispered to Payal.
"Start the car," Payal signaled Pooja.
"What---" before he could complete his sentence, Naina slapped him hard.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" he yelled and another slap landed on his cheek by Payal.
"Who are you? Why are you hitting the groom?" a man yelled from a distance and they both alerted.
With one Final smack on his nose, they started running to the car.
Pooja started the car and opened the car doors for them.
When they were about to reach the car, a man came in their direction to stop them. Naina pushed him and they ran and climbed the car, then Pooja drove off at a jet speed.
After driving for some distance, she stopped the car.
"Wow, that was hilarious," Pooja muttered.
"Yeah, it's like a movie experience," Naina remarked, and the three laughed.
That's how their journey started to their parents' house and there are many to come on the way.
