"Maddie your mom not here yet we all make choices she chose to be away instead of being here with yous, so the two of you are going to be with me this week and you may get to do things that the others don't get to do." Miss Abby says to Maddie and Mackenzie
"I am going to move to our lovely pyramid. On the bottom row...I have Paige and Brooke, you'll not be doing solos you'll be in the group number and I had it out to your mom she has told me that she can find better choreographer's and I'm sure she can this is Los Angeles this isn't Pittsburgh but please understand if you go as an independent you're out, you're finished." Miss Abby says
Then she shows Mackenzie headshot without saying anything.
"Next we have Nia, Mackenzie duet." Miss Abby says pointing to Nia and then Kenzie we clap.
"So Chloe you'll be doing a solo aswell as the group routine"
"Maddie your duet won but you didn't stand out to me, you'll be doing a solo this week."
"And a the top...Naïla. You were great in the duet and you were standing out. You're also be doing a solo."

Five days to competition
We're doing a routine called My Pumps. It's a dance that we already performed, did you really think we were going to do a brand new dance the week before nationals ?

Solo rehearsal
"You'll do a solo called My Heart Will go on. It's contemporary piece, you'll be a woman that lost her husband. Maybe their will be people that have a lost their girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband so it will touch the audience." I nod and I start learning the dance.
"Your aerial need to be sharper !"
"More faces !"
"Straighten your legs."

"Alright, come on girls gather around. Girls I have a big surprise for you, I brought a visitor coming to see us and she knows everything about rocking that stage. Let's all welcome Laquifa."

She drop on the floor. My jaw dropped.
Then Nia learns the dead drop for the group dance.

Four days to competition
We are in rehearsal when Abby go out of the room because she got a call.
"Your mom is she doing ok ?" Asks Christi to Abby
"No, she's in hospital, she has a blockage." Respond Abby, that's mean she can't walk.
Everybody is sad for her.
"They haven't given her anything to eat, she hasn't eaten in four days." Says Abby

Solo rehearsal
"Sickled foot, come on Naïla you can do better than this." I am not going to lie, this dance is difficult.
"Turn faster"
"Come here." I come near Abby and she starts talking
"You have incredible acting skills, more you use them more you have a chance of winning.
I do my dance one more trying to do great facials but also have a best technique.
"That's what I want to see at the competition, ok." I nod and I continue to learn/rehearse.

Apparently Paige has a choreographer that we don't know. You're probably wondering why, it's because her mom don't trust/need Abby to make her daughters win.

Competition day
We're in the dressing room.
"And remember what I have always taught you, when you walk off that stage, the girl after you have to think it's the best performance they have ever seen."
"Surprise." Cathy says entering the room, well that's a surprise
Apparently Taylor is going against Chloe, hope Chloe's win.
My mom is putting my hair in a ballet bun while she's talking with Kelly and Abby about the choreographer she hired. After some minutes of talking with my mom and Abby, Kelly goes out of the room crying.
I put on my costume :
"I don't mean to be holding your hands. I just want to make sure everybody knows who you two are." Abby says to me and Maddie
"You have been great, you've been amazing until Naïla won 1st and poof the amazing dancer I knew was gone. But at least you're still improving."
"You've been consistent, you've been fabulous, you have inspired me to be a better teacher. This is really important, this is gonna be a big thing for the rest of your life. Yeah ? Got it ? Okay so make sure that they know you can act I want them to see that sad woman, I want it to be so good that they have to love it." I nod and smile
"How about if you two do these dances for Mrs.Miller ?" Abby says
"Yeah." Maddie and I say at the same time.
"Go." Abby says crying, Maddie and I go backstage
"You got this mads you are fabulous, go and get them." I say to Maddie
"Yeah I'll do fabulous like you." I hug her and she kiss me on the cheek
"This Maddie interpreting and performing Disappear."
Her emotions were great, she definitely killed this. I am proud of her

I could see my mom cry from the audience, my heart melted. I go offstage, me and Maddie hug, she's sad her mom his not here to watch her.
"Even if your mom wasn't here, I am sure one of the mom recorded it and is going to show it to your mom." I say
"Well I hope so." She says back
The duet's time to perform.
Black Swan performed.
Then Vivi and Justice performed.
It isn't that bad but it isn't great either.
"Please welcome from Abby Lee Dance Company, Nia and Mackenzie."
Mackenzie and my sister were awesome !
That Taylor girl from cadc started performing and she has the same song as Chloe. Cathy is going crazy.
"Please welcome from Abby Lee Dance Company Chloe with Dream on a star."
She was ten seconds in and it was already better than Taylor's dance.
We go back to the dressing room to get ready for the group dance.
"Welcome junior small group, My Pumps."
I loved it and my lovely sister killed the end.
Awards
"First place in duet/trio ALDC."
"First place in junior solo is Chloe with Dream on a star."
"Second place in mini solo Disappear." I think I didn't place at all.
"First place in the mini solo Naïla with My Heart Will Go On." I run a little bit and pick up my trophy
"What is the name of the studio you are in ?" The announcer asks
"Abby Lee Dance Company." I respond
"What is your choreographer name." The announcer ask
"Abby Lee Miller." I say
"Give a round of applause for Naïla." I smile and sit down, Nia and Chloe hugs me.
"In third place act number 50 My Pumps."
We go backstage
"Congratulations Chloe and Naïla for first place. Naïla you did awesome the facials weee amazing." Abby says
