Aloisia and Natasha are preparing to go, Aloisia does not wish to part from Natasha and feels that Nat should not be going on this mission especially after her injury. Natasha is still sore and very tired after dealing with her bullet wound and losing so much blood and Aloisia knows this. Al is in a spare combat outfit that was stored in the shadow realm as her normal suit it back at her apartment, that is incredibly close to shield. She knows it would be too risky to go back as a hydra agent is probably guarding it. Aloisia notices Natasha seems lost in though, Al offers her a concerned glance and a reassuring smile. "Are you sure you are okay to do this?" Aloisia asks, concern lacing her tone
Natasha chuckles lightly, not at anything specific, more as a way to reassure Al that she is okay. Natasha has never had someone care for her so much, no one like Aloisia. Aloisia had never cared for someone so much since her planet was destroyed, no one like Natasha. Natasha found herself caring without having to try, it just happened and that was strange to her. She was deeply concerned whenever something happened to Aloisia and desperately wanted to make sure she was okay. Earlier in their friendship Aloisia could sometimes see Nat's inner struggle, the conflict she faced of letting someone in, but as their friendship grew, so did Natasha and Aloisia, as people. Natasha let herself care, she let herself worry, and Aloisia allowed herself to let Natasha in, to trust her, be close to her.
The two women had connect with each other in ways they hadn't been able to do with anyone else. "I promise, I'm okay"
"If there is any moment you need to leave, if your shoulder pulls, if you get too tired, if you lose even a drop of blood. Call and I will get you out and safe. I wont force you away but if you need to leave, for any reason. I will find you" Aloisia said, smiling. Natasha wordlessly wraps her arms around Aloisia, Aloisia freezes slightly, not expecting the contact. But melts against Natasha's touch, and into her arms.
"If I need you I will call. Thank you" Natasha says, breaking away from Al, who smiles shyly.
"Im going to go and find Steve, make sure he's not doing anything stupid. I'll leave you be. Please be careful" Aloisia offers one final smile and walks off.
Aloisia meets sam on her way to find Steve. "I never got to properly thank you for helping us. And i should probably explain my abilities" Aloisia offers as the duo walk to find Steve.
"You don't have to, I certainly didn't expect it. I knew there was someone with fire abilities at New York but I didn't realise it was you. I figured you were another agent, at first i though you could have been Steve's girlfriend" Sam admits
Aloisia laughs loudly "neither me nor Steve have any interest in each other romantically. And I am an alien, i left my plant about 10 years ago now. My people, Zafiens aren't all like me. they have the strength, speed, and agility i have but not the fire or shadows" Aloisia explains, sam listens respectfully nodding.
"Why did you leave?"
"I was forced to, a titan came to my planet and before he destroyed it i managed to escape by entering the shadow realm. No one else had this ability so I became the only one left" Al admits, she finds no point in hiding this information as Sam needs to be told.
"Oh, sorry" sam says unsure. Her offers a small gentle smile, which Al returns.
"It's okay. I've accepted it now" Aloisia mutters, Sam nods. They spot Steve, seemingly very deep in thought
Aloisia assumes, Steve's thoughts of Bucky, yet they are interrupted as Sam and Aloisia join him on the bridge
"He's gonna be there, you know?" Sam says
"I know" Steve mutters
"Look, whoever he used to be, the guy he is now, I don't think he's the kind you save. He's the kind you stop" Sam explains, Aloisia nods, Steve and Bucky may have been like brothers then, but now Bucky doesn't even know who he is, let alone who steve is.
"I don't know if I can do that"
"Well, he might not give you a choice. He doesn't know you"
"Steve, when it comes to it. Please be careful. If you can get him back try. But if you cant, don't persist upon fighting a battle you will not win. Don't forget, that he doesn't remember" Aloisia says
"He will. Gear up, it's time" Steve turns and starts to walk off, replying to Sam and Aloisia
"You gonna wear that?" Sam asks
"No. If you're gonna fight a war, you gotta wear a uniform" Aloisia laughs as she guesses what Steve plans to do.
The group head to the Triskelion where the Helicarriers are being launched from.
"We are in final launch sequence" someone announces through the PA
"We are go on guidance" another agent announces
"All personnel to launch station" a woman speaks on the PA
Pierce meets the World Security Council as they arrive at the Triskelion
"And how was your flight?" Pierce asks
"Lovely. The ride from the airport less so." Hawley replies
"Sadly, SHIELD can't control everything" Pierce says
"Including Captain America" Rockwell says, Pierce walks over to one of the guards who hands him a case containing four pins
"This facility is biometrically controlled, and these will give you unrestricted access" Pierce says, the council members each take a pin to wear
At the Project Insight headquarters a Com Tech speaks "I've been parking there for two months"
"But it's his spot" another says
"So where's he been?" The first tech says
"I think Afghanistan" the techs speak to one another calmly, playfully
into his earpiece the first tech speaks "Negative, DT-6. The pattern is full" he turns to his colleague "Well, he could have said something"suddenly they hear a sharp high pitched ringing through their earpiece "Ow!"
"Must be the dish"
"I'll check it out."
"Triskelion command request we clear the area for launch."
as the Tech goes and opens the door he's faced with Steve, Sam, Aloisia and Hill on the other side of the door, Sam and Hill point their guns at him as Aloisia only smiles, lighting a very small flame in her palm.
"Excuse us" Steve says, the tech holds his hands up and steps aside to let them enter
Pierce addresses the World Security Council members "I know the road hasn't exactly been smooth, and some of you would have gladly kicked me out of the car along the way. Finally we're here, and the world should be grateful" as they start drinking to Pierce's toast suddenly they hear Steve over the SHIELD microphone that everyone in the building can hear
"Attention, all SHIELD agents. This is Steve Rogers. You've heard a lot about me over the last few days, some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time you know the truth. SHIELD is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those Helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way, unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high, it always has been, and it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not" Steve finishes his speech and Aloisia gently claps, grinning
"Did you write that down first, or was it off the top of your head?" Sam asks
"That was beautiful, exquisite. It's bringing tears to my eyes" Aloisia jokes, Sam giggles with her and Steve rolls his eyes at the duo. He can sense the chaos that the two are bound to bring.
Councilman Rockwell turns to Pierce after learning the truth about him "You smug son of a bitch" he announces bitterly
Councilman Singh turns to the agents who enter the room, he doesn't realise the two are HYDRA agents, thinking they are SHIELD agents he announces "Arrest him" the HYDRA agent points his gun at Singh
"I guess I've got the floor" Pierce mutters
Rumlow and his men break into the control room, where Agent 13 also is, Rumlow walks over to one of the techs
"Preempt the launch sequence. Send those ships up now" The tech hesitates visibly "Is there a problem?" Rumlow questions
"I'm..." the tech shakes his head nervously
"Is there a problem?" Rumlow asks, the anger clear in his voice
"I'm sorry, sir." the tech takes a few nervous breaths before replying "I'm not gonna launch those ships. Captain's orders" Rumlow points his gun at the tech's head
"Move away from your station" Rumlow orders, Agent 13 walks over to Rumlow pointing her gun at him
"Like he said!" Sharon exclaims, suddenly all the SHIELD agents draw their weapons and point them around amongs each other "Captain's orders"
"You picked the wrong side, Agent" Rumlow says, his eyes drift to Sharon but his face remains pointed at the tech his gun is also pointed towards
"Depends on where you're standing" Rumlow drops his gun, but as he does he grabs his knife and cuts Agent 13's arm, leading to the SHIELD agents firing their guns, amidst the bullets, Rumlow manages to release the Helicarriers and runs off
as the bay doors holding the Helicarriers are about to be opened
"Close the bay door! Close the bay door now! Close the bay door!" An agent shouts, the HYDRA agents enter and start shooting and killing the crew and techs; at the headquarters Hill watches on the monitor as the Helicarriers are being initiated
"They're initiating launch" Hill speaks into comms. Steve, Aloisia and Sam are running through the headquarters to get to the Helicarriers
"Why did i sign up for this?" Sam mutters to himself sighing. Al smiles and shrugs at him, a small chuckle leaving her lips
