"Ash, you told me you won't leave me!"
"Is it my fault that you've been fooled by my words?" she grinned, with that man. "Go back off forever, Kai!"
"Ashley, no!" I screamed.
"Kai!" my Mom shouted. "Ang ingay ng kwarto mo, anak, sa totoo lang."
Oh, I dreamed about her again. It still hurts me. I want her back. I desperately want her back. Kahit na ako lang ang nagmamahal, basta't narito lang siya sa tabi ko, mas magiging okay ako.
"I'm sorry, Ma," I sighed. "It must be a dream, what a relief."
"Nananaginip ka nga, anak." she shook her head in disbelief. "Anyways, your friend Aikyo is transferring to your school so you better accompany him." she said and left my room, leaving me completely stunned.
"Okay, let's start this horrible day of missing her." I said and cleaned my room before leaving my room.
I took a shower and brushed my teeth. Time check, it's already 10:30 AM in the morning and I'm still thinking about her. How she made me look like a fool. How she cheated at my lowest and I couldn't give everything to her.
Bakit ganon? Kahit anong gawin ko, parang hindi ako sanay na wala siya. Ang sakit. Sobrang sakit.
"That's so sweet of you. I love you, boy."
"No need to do these, my love. Whatever makes us happy then I'm fine with it."
"Bakit ba ang gwapo mo always?"
"I love you."
"Fuck!" I screamed as I burst into tears and looked for my blade.
"Kai, what happened?" my Mom suddenly came and saw me crying so loud and saw the blade.
"Ashley!" I screamed more as I cried, still holding the blade.
"Anak, alam kong nag-s-suffer ka, anak pero wag naman sana umabot sa ganito." she hugged me and took the blade from me. "Everything will be fine by process, anak. Trust me."
"Ma.." I cried more. "I still miss her. So damn much."
"Anak, magiging maayos ang lahat, huh?" she said and kissed my forehead then hugged me. "Magiging maayos din ang lahat, anak."
I cried more until she calmed me down. And now, I felt awkward upon telling my Mom that I miss the girl who manipulated my feelings and broke my heart into pieces that made me miss her until now. Kahit ako na lang ang masaktan, basta mag stay lang siya sa tabi ko.
I'm desperate of love. I'm desperate of her prescence. I'm desperate of her affection. Fuck. I miss you, Ashley.
"Anak, paki-abot nga yung mga bedsheet sa sala, lalabhan ko." my Mom asked so since I was bored, I handed her the bedsheets she was asking for.
"Ma, ako na po." I offered. "Manood ka na lang po ng TV sa loob."
"Ay, anak, ako na." she refused. "Magpahinga ka lang dun sa loob-"
"Ma, kaya ko gawin yan." I insisted. "I've been watching you do the same procedures over the years."
"Are you sure, anak?" my Mom asked, still processing what I said.
"Of course, Ma. Now just relax and watch TV habang ginagawa ko to." I smiled.
"Thanks, anak!" my Mom said and left.
I did the laundry my Mom's supposed to do. Ang dami nito lahat pero kaya naman. Habang nagsasampay ako ng damit, bigla nalang umikot ang mundo ko at bigla na lang nag-itim ang lahat.
Am I.. dying?
"Anak, kapit ka lang, ah?" my Mom said, crying. Where am I?
I woke up in a strange room. It's cold here and what's this in my hand? Tumingin ako sa paligid ko at nalamang nasa.. ospital ako. Anong ginagawa ko rito?!
"Anak ko," my Mom said, crying and held my hand. "Tignan mo, ang lanta mo na. Sana pala ako nalang naglaba, e. Ikaw kasi ang kulit mo."
"Ma.. i-it's o-okay," I said as my voice weakens. "Y-you need r-rest.."
My Mom kissed my forehead and suddenly, someone knocks on the door. My Mom opened it and it's actually the doctor. I thought it was.. Ashley.
"Magandang gabi po, Mrs. Abarquez and Mr. Abarquez, so we did a test on your son po." the doctor said as he gave my Mom a brown envelope. "Bumabawas po ng unti-unti yung dugo niya and his blood pressure's low po at meron po siyang mababang potassium, maybe kaya po siya nahimatay dahil po siguro sa dami ng iniisip or pagkahilo."
"Sige, doc. Thank you po." my Mom said.
"I'll be fine, Ma." I assured her. "I'll just ask my classmate to come here and tutor me while I'm still here for my treatment. Can I have my phone?"

I turned off my phone and continued studying about our previous lesson. Why's he in the hospital anyway? Did something happen? Teka, bat naman ako nakakaramdam nito? Bat ko to natatanong bigla sa sarili ko?
The next day when class dismissed, I opened my phone to see if he messaged me. Luckily, walang homework for today kaya makaka-hinga ako ng maluwag.

"Sino na naman yang kausap mo, Samantha Leona Celestino?" Alexis suddenly spoke out of nowhere. God, I almost jumped.
"Ah, ito? Wala to," I said.
"Hmm, suspicious ka, te. Parang namumula nga pisngi mo, e." Nicole spoke, too.
"What if boyfriend?" Alexis said that made me grab his hair for a second. He looked surprised by my behavior and I was, too. Nicole just laughed the whole scene and the three of us split up.

My Mom? She cares? How the hell she cares if she has another family and completely forgot about me and my brother? Wow, just wow.
I went to the location and looked for his room. Room 207, right? I guess I'm standing at the right room, though. I knocked first and someone opened the door for me. It was a lady wearing jacket and she looked tired.
"Excuse me po, um- room po ba to ni Kaile?" I asked, feeling so anxious if I knocked the wrong room.
"Oh, yes, he is." the lady answered.
"I'm his classmate po, Samantha Celestino nga po pala." I introduced myself and she let me in.
"Oh, you must be his tutor for the lessons he's missing?" she asked, clarifying things and I nodded. "Come in, iha. Nga pala, magluluto ako sa bahay ng dinner, you should eat with us, Sam."
"No need na po, kumain na po ako kanina bago pumunta rito." I answered politely.
"Okay, but I'll bring some extra more and rice and soup for you in case you go hungry." she responded and smiled, closing the door.
"At ikaw, ano ba nangyari sayong lalaki ka't narito ka sa ospital na to?" tanong ko.
"Kulang ako sa potassium at bumabawas dugo ko, kaka-laslas." he answered with pain in his eyes. "Anyways, let's start the session."
I tought him every single lessons we had for the day and this also served as my review. We started 6:30 PM and ended at 7:45 PM to eat dinner. Nakakahiya man pero wala ako sa posisyon para tanggihan ang offer ng mother niya sakin kaya kumain na rin ako.
We continued our tutoring session and he slept around 9:45 PM. I looked at his handsome face as he sleep and while I rest, his Mom sat beside me. I looked at her and smiled.
"Thank you for teaching him, Sam." she smiled.
"Wala po yun, Tita. Nakaka-awa nga lang po at nangyari ito sa kanya." I responded. "Your son is very active in recitation nga po, e. Pati rin po sa presentation, sobrang confident niya. Hindi po siya madalas tumitingin sa presentation niya at madalas din po siya nagtatanong ng question sa mga classmate namin."
"Nagmana siya sa Daddy nya, nak." she replied. "Looks lang ang namana ko sa kanya at knowledge sa Daddy niya. You're right, nak, he's smart kaso naloko siya ng pag-ibig."
"Oh, ano pong nangyari?" I asked, curious.
His Mom told me everything on how he met this girl Ashley, how she cheated on him, and how Kai got so depressed and how the heck he's here in the hospital, looking so weak.
I don't know what am I feeling something strange for this man.
Am I.. falling for him?
Sam, hindi pwede. Takot siya sa pag-ibig. Aasa ka lang sa kanya.
