I open my eyes when I see my brother face above mine.
"Wake up Naïla, we have to go to school !" My brother exclaims
"Leave me alone, I am going to get up of bed." I say before yawning. My brother leave my room
"Little brothers are so annoying." I say to myself
I go to the bathroom, I brush my teeth and watch my face.
"Naïla hurry up !" I hear my big brother, Evan yell from downstairs
"I am coming !" I scream, why these people are rushing ?
"I am here." I say to my brothers, sister and mom.
"Finally." Says my brothers
"Come on, I wasn't that slow." I say
"Okay guys stop arguing, Naïla put your shoes on and take your jacket." My mom says
"Yes Mom." I take my shoes and put them on.
"William, Nia and Evan get in the car." Mom says, my siblings walk to the mini van, we have a mini van because the six of us wouldn't fit in one average car with five places.
Then I put on my jacket and Mom and I walk to the car.
Nia is between me and William, Evan is in the front seat.
We go to middle school for our big brother, Evan and then to elementary school for William, Nia and I.
"Bye mom." We all say in unison.
"Bye." Say our mom happily
"From now I don't know you two." Says William, Nia and I roll our eyes.
I sit with my friends before the ring bell and we go to class.

I was in my room reading before my head reminded me that I have dance.
I put on my dance outfit :

And then head to dance, the show was supposed to be finished but here we are.
"This weekend provited Rode Island and hour outside of Boston some off the most prestigious studios in the country are there tough school tough competitors and you really held your own you won your victory count you killed it I'm very proud !" Miss Abby says ,we all clap
"Excellent I'm very proud of every single one of you and you don't I don't say that often"
"I'm also very proud the moms kept their mouth shut and didn't say anything to me see how much nicer it is when everything goes so smoothly? It was wonderful" Miss Abby says
"Now let's talk about this week's competition." Miss Abby says as she turns around the board to show us our placement.

"We are going too what?" Miss Abby points to the board
"Starpower !" We all say
"It's at the Mohegan sun and it's a resort it's all self contained, we can't forget anything so we will have a wardrobe for each day they are going to be there just like the old school days, yes ?" Abby says
"And you will pack here infront of me so I know you have everything" Miss Abby says to our moms
"Let's talk about the board, first of all everybody worked together as a team that teamwork is gonna help you in nationals that's what's gonna put you to the top teamwork and and technique those are the two things we're gonna concentrate on this week...moms we're doing another new number! Abby says,we are all really excited.
"One more costume !" Miss Abby says
"This week I'm gonna ask for you to work harder than you ever worked before we need to walk in there like we own the place and I will give you a pack list for clothes for the trip I want them dressed a certain way every single day that we are there does everybody understand that ? Yes ?" Says Abby

Five days to competition
We're in a ballet class. Working to be stronger on our passé.
This week I don't have a solo because Abby said that I need to work on my posture and on my leaps, I have private.
"So Naïla, you can do solo and solo and solo but the technique is not improving, the posture either so I want to work with you on that." I nod and we start
"Don't bent your knee in that leap !" I redo it with my knee that is not bent
"See that's what I want to see in every rehearsal." I nod and continue to do some leaps, turns, jump and etc...

Three days to competition
Abby come and give us the list of the costume, there's 4 solos, one duet and one group dance.
It's group rehearsal time.
"Alright girls the new number we are going to do for this competition is called Make You Mine everybody say that." Miss Abby says
"Make You Mine." We all say
"I want you to go out and I want you to get the older girls black chairs."
We go in the hallway to pick the chairs, I think it's going to be a jazz dance.
The positions are the same that in the sugar daddies dance.
"Jeté,roll." We do the moves
Abby screams at Nia a lot.
We are in the den waiting for Abby to give us the list of costumes.
"What your two solos look like ?" I ask Chloe and Paige
"Mine his called Hot List acro-jazz and I really like it." Paige says happily
"Mine is lyrical it's called Another Bodies. I don't really know what it's about and it's great." Chloe says
"I have costumes." Abby says entering the room. We all clap.
She gives Maddie, Paige, Chloe and Brooke their solo costumes.

Competition day
We are in the bus, I am sat next to Paige we are talking, gossiping, drawing etc...

Minutes later
Paige, Chloe and I got up and put a gummy worm in Abby's mouth.
"I though you liked gummy worms." Says Paige. Her, Chloe, Nia and I laugh
Abby shook her head from side to side.

We run into the dressing room and start to get ready because we only have 30 minutes.
I am stretching by doing splits and etc while Abby speaks about the fact that we have to be respectful and professional.
"Welcome Make You Mine act 28."
I think I did fabulous, I don't know about the others girls.
We go off stage and Maddie says that we looked terrible. Well maybe she did but I didn't.
"I'm talking to you right now because I am disappointed.Why Naïla was the only who did it well, wake up it's almost nationals." Abby says
Group awards
"For second place, Make you mine number 28."
Solos
First is Maddie
She did awesome, I know her grandmother is watching her and is so proud of her.
Paige, Brooke and Chloe performed there dances.
Mackenzie and Vivi did their duet.
Maddie won the biggest trophy here, I am so proud of her.
Then Maddie enters the dressing room and I run to hug her.
"You were awesome as always." I say
"Thanks Nana think you would have been to if Abby did give you a solo." Maddie says
"Hey ! Get off my sister I want to hug her too." Mackenzie says running to us.
"Mackenzie calm down, I am not going to disappear anytime soon don't worry." Maddie says, I chuckle
My best friend did win so, yes I am happy.
