Matt and I were on a road trip with Nick, Chris, Madi and Laura. We were on our way home tomorrow.
I was ready to go home, we have been on the road for a week now and I missed my bed, but I'm glad I got to do it with my favorite boy.
There wasn't a problem with going home, the problem was how long the drive home was.
I knew everyone wasn't very happy about it, and I especially wasn't.
Matt was driving the 2 hours today, and Laura is driving the 6 hours home tomorrow.
I was half asleep in the passenger seat with my head rested on a pillow against the window, with Matt's hand rested on my thigh rubbing small circles with his thumb. My hand was placed on top of his.
I was listening to music with my AirPods while Nick and Madi were asleep in the very back, and Laura and Chris in the middle, Chris doing something on his phone and Laura looking out the window.
Matt looked over at me with a soft smile when we stopped at a red light.
I had fallen fully asleep and was woken up an hour later to car doors slamming and someone kissing around my face.
My eyes fluttered opened as I groaned. Matt kissed my forehead then chuckled. "Good morning." He whispered. He was leaned over the glove box.
"No." I whined and closed my eyes again. Matt chuckled again and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "We're at the hotel, baby." Matt said softly.
My eyes opened again with a smile growing on my lips, I was excited to go to sleep.
I looked outside and it was pitch black. "Come on." Matt smiled and kissed my forehead again. I nodded then yawned, collecting my things and putting on my hood of my hoodie.
I stepped out of the car and followed everyone inside of the hotel.
Laura got our rooms and we headed up the elevator, Matt holding my hand.
We got to our rooms and Matt and I got our own room with the others sharing the other room.
Matt and I said goodnight to everyone then closed the door to our room and threw our bags on the ground.
Matt jumped onto the bed and sighed obnoxiously loud. I giggled and his head tilted up just enough to see me, then he patted the mattress next to him, signaling for me to come lay down.
I shook my head with a smile. "I need to wash my face."
"No, you need to come lay down with me." Matt sat up with a smirk. "We can cuddle in a minute!" I laughed. "Cuddles now, wash your face later." Matt grinned, patting the mattress again.
"Nope." I grinned back and walked over to my suitcase to get my toiletries. Matt snuck up from behind me and picked me up by my waist.
"Matt! Put me down!" I shouted and laughed. He threw me onto the bed and jumped onto it next to me and wrapped his arms around me, holding me in place.
He kissed my cheek a few times with a smile. "Matthew, stop protesting." I turned my head to him. He just smiled and kissed my nose.
I sighed and ran a hand through his messy hair. We stayed there for a minute, Matt clinging onto me.
"Okay, baby, I actually need to get up." I giggled, running my hand through his hair again. He frowned and slowly loosened his grip as I wiggled out of his arms.
I grabbed my toiletries as Matt sat at the end of the bed. I turned around and looked at him as he was faking a frown. "I said we will cuddle when I'm done!" I giggled and walked over to him, kissing the top of his head.
He sighed and nodded. I walked to the bathroom and washed my face then started doing my skincare.
Matt walked into the bathroom with a grin and stood behind me, I watched him through the mirror as he placed his chin on my shoulder and snaked his arms around my waist.
I smiled as he gently placed a few kisses on my neck. I finished my skincare then brushed my teeth, Matt didn't budge the whole time.
I bent down towards the sink to spit, forcing Matt to let go of me. He stepped to the side of me as I placed my toothbrush back.
I turned to Matt and he had a bright smile on his face. By the look on his face, I knew he was hoping I was ready to cuddle now. "Not yet." I brushed past him and walked to my suitcase to get my change of clothes.
"Baby!" Matt whined from the bathroom. "Not yet!" I laughed from the bedroom. I stepped back into the bathroom to see Matt getting ready to brush his teeth.
I set my clothes on the counter and waited for him to finish.
I was kind of enjoying this teasing, it was funny seeing him all clingy like this right now. I decided to keep it up.
Matt rinsed his mouth and set his toothbrush down then turned to me with a soft smile and closed his eyes and leaned in to kiss me.
I grinned and pushed him away by his chest, making him step out of the bathroom. "What the fuck?" He laughed and threw his hands up. "I need to change!" I grinned.
"Babe-" I shut the door before he could finish his sentence.
I was starting to feel a little bad now. I quickly changed and brushed through my hair.
I walked out of the bathroom and saw Matt getting into bed. "What was that act?" He asked with a smirk as I walked over to the other side of the bed.
"What?" I asked pretending to be innocent. Matt lifted up the covers for me and I climbed into the bed with him.
He rolled his eyes playfully then scooted closer to me. I wanted to mess with him once more.
Matt cuddled into me, resting his head on my chest trying to get comfortable. I groaned and shoved him off of me jokingly.
"Baby! What the fuck? Why won't you love me?" He sat up and frowned down at me. I saw he was genuinely hurt.
I frowned back. "Baby, I'm sorry. I was just messing with you!" I opened my arms for him.
Matt's frown grew but he still fell into my arms. He rested his head on my chest and wrapped his arms around me and held me tight.
"I didn't like that." Matt stated. "I'm sorry." I kissed his head and rubbed his back.
I rubbed Matt's back for a few more minutes and occasionally kissed his head. Matt sat up a bit and met my eyes.
I smiled at him and he smiled back. He leaned in and softly pressed his lips against mine, slowly and gently kissing me as I kissed him back.
We pulled away a minute later and Matt kissed my forehead as I giggled. "You're so cute." Matt smiled warmly. I ran a hand through his hair as I flushed red.
Matt kissed my cheek then rolled over and opened his arms for me. I smiled and scooted closer to him and buried my face in the crook of his neck as he wrapped his arms around me.
I wrapped my arms around Matt and he kissed my head once more as I kissed his neck.
"I love you, Y/n. Goodnight." Matt whispered. "I love you, Matt." I smiled and we soon fell asleep together.
The next morning I was woken up by someone tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. My eyes fluttered open to see Matt softly looking at me. He smiled as he saw me wake up.
"Hi baby." Matt smiled. I smiled back. "Hi." I replied softly.
"Ready to go home?" He asked. I nodded and yawned.
I scooted closer to him and wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
We cuddled for about twenty more minutes until Nick and Chris walked into our room. "Hey, guys, we need to get ready to head home." Chris said while walking over to the bed while Nick waited at the door.
I looked at Matt. "Get your asses up!" Nick shouted from the door. "Get out, Nick!" Matt yelled in a groggy tone.
Chris playfully hit Matt on the head then followed Nick out of our room. I giggled a bit as Matt let out an irritated grunt.
Matt and I got up and got ready and got all of our stuff packed and met everyone downstairs and loaded up the car.
Madi and Nick were in the middle, Chris was in the front with Laura and Matt and I were in the very back.
I rested my head on Matt's shoulder and his head rested against mine. I looked down at his hand and saw it placed on his thigh, I gently grabbed his hand and pulled it over to my thigh and we interlocked our fingers.
I could feel Matt smiling. "I love you." I whispered to him. "I love you." He whispered back softly and turned his head and kissed my forehead a few times before resting his head back.
We napped with each other the whole ride home, holding each other tightly.
