Back in the city

Alex's: POV
It felt good being back home again after visiting my parents. I'm glad l got the chance to rebond with my niece again, my sister Stefanie and my sister in law Lena had dinner on our finally night out town while Francesca spent some time with her grandparents. I knew Stef was hurting by the things my dad said to her that night at my parents house, Stephanie could be stubborn at times
She could be very guarded when something's bothering her. After they dropped me off at my place, l went inside and kicked off my shoes. Pulling along my suitcase upstairs to the bedroom, l unzipped the bag took out
All dirty clothes that were in the separate compartment
I have so many things to do before I return back to work at the office. I need to go to the cleaners to get my suits out
And make a grocery run to pick up some food for the month, l'm supposed to get together with Casey on Friday
She's been trying to get me to come out with her to this club downtown. I know she's trying to set me up on a blind date, l bailed out on her several times. I'm not ready to start dating again but it's been enough time. Maybe I should put myself back out there, what do I have to lose
After sorting out the laundry l carried down to the basement and put it in the washer then turned the knob
I added in the washing powder. Came back up the stairs
Went into the kitchen and poured myself a glass of wine
I decided to turn on the TV to find something on,
Tonight is going to be a take out night, l pick up the menu from off the coffee table and scan through it to see what l wanted to order. The chicken with broccoli and fried rice sounds good, so l pick up the phone and called the Chinese restaurant. Gave the woman my order, she asked for my address. Once l was all done ordering l put my phone back on the charger, while I waited for the food to come
I went down to cellar to take the clothes out of the machine and put them in the dryer. I headed back up the steps to tidy up the living room, l didn't bother to check my answering machine. I try to keep my house clean
The door bell rings, l walked over to look through peep hole to see who it was. And it was the delivery man
Holding a brown bag, l unlock the door then he hands me my food. I handed him a five dollar tip. Thank you l said
Alex shut the door lock both locks, carried everything in the living room. So I could watch a movie on Netflix
I took out the carbon box out of the bag and begin eating my Chinese food, then pressed play on the remote control
