(Just know all situations will now come from me and not the anime because I give up on that, except main parts obviously)

After traveling for longer then needed l Giyuu, Tanjiro and Shinobu make it to headquarters. It took long due to the fact Giyuu remembering that Kagaya told Tanjiro to hide the fact he can walk in the sun. So Tanjiro continues to pretend he can't.
(Refer back to chapter 4 if you need to remember what I'm talking about)

The meeting

(Fun facts are back: The porch area is call an "Engawa" but so no one gets confused I'll keep referring to it as a porch)
Giyuu stands off to the side, separated from the other Hashira. Tanjiro sits on the porch area where Kagaya usually sits. Tanjiro is back at his normal height, he sits in the shade until told otherwise. The Hashira stand in front of said porch waiting for the arrival of the master as they stare at Tanjiro.
"Ah? What a bummer, when I was told Tomioka was protecting a demon I expected to see a flashier looking demon"
"You know Tomioka-san, you're being put on trail and yet you're not reacting. Before we start the trail let's talk about the crime you've comm-"
"There's no need for a trail! It's clear that protecting and traveling with a demon is against corps roles!"
"Poor soul...turned into a demon. I pity him for being born at all"
"Wahhh! What a cute looking boy, even if he is a demon"
"What shape was that cloud again?.."
The Hashira talk about Tanjiro and Giyuu. Tanjiro just sits like a doll on the porch. A Kakushi inches closer to Tanjiro, they're nervous about approaching a demon. Tanjiro looks over at them calmly, they jump back.
"What's this?"
A voice yells
A male walks into view from the side of the headquarters. He's riddled in scars, with white hair and his uniform open exposing his chest which shows off more scars. Everyone looks at him the scarred man.
"Why don't we just kill the demon"
"Sanemi, refrain from doing anything without the master present"
"It's a demon for crying out loud"
"Forget that, what are we going to do about Tomioka. I don't feel comfortable with him being here without any restraints"
"He came without any resistance and so did the demon"
Shinobu says
Sanemi glares daggers into Tanjiro who just blinks at him. Sanemi gets more irritated for some reason and unsheaths his katana. He advances to Tanjiro.
"Sanemi no"
"Ah shut up!"
Sanemi shouts
He stops in front of Tanjiro who is unfazed. Tanjiro doesn't want to do anything that could possibly put Giyuu in trouble. Sanemi points the tip of his katana to Tanjiro's neck. Giyuu is watching, he's tense and ready to step in if it escalates. Tanjiro glances at him; Giyuu shakes his head. Tanjiro understands and just sits there not doing anything.
"Why isn't the demon doing anything? He's not even looking at Sanemi as if he wants to kill"
"He's just..."
"...sitting there"
"What an interesting demon"
The Hashira mutter
Before anything else can happen or be said something grabs their attention. Sanemi immediately backs down and walks back next to the rest of the Hashira
"The master has arrived"
To voices call out
Everyone is no longer looking at Tanjiro but at the door as two small children walk out, on either side of the master. Kagaya stops before almost reaching the edge of the porch. All the Hashira get on their knee and lower their head out of respect.
"Master, I hope you've been well"
"Ah yes, thank you. Let's not be violent to our guest next time though"
"...Yes master"
Sanemi says
He keeps his gaze locked on the ground from shame of being called out by the master. Kagaya continues in his normal soft, soothing voice.
"Giyuu Tomioka is not going to be held countable for his crime"
"Master you can't be serious"
"How can you just Tomioka go without any punishment and let a demon live. Excuse me if I'm being rude but we simply cannot allow this"
"I'm sorry master but I will have to agree. I can't allow this"
The Hashiras say
As all the Hashira speak Tanjiro sits, unmoving. He looks at Kagaya who in return looks at Tanjiro and smiles. He turns back to the Hashira to settle them down.
"I have already known about Tomiokas situation with the demon prior. He had come to me when he ran into the demon while on a mission two years ago. Tanjiro Kamado has never eaten a human throughout this time. Isn't that right?"
Kagaya announces
Kagaya looks at Giyuu when asking the last question. Tanjiro follows the masters gaze. His eyes also land on Giyuu.
"Correct. He hasn't and would never eat a human..."
"Thank you, I would like it to be know Tanjiro can also walk in the sun. It is unknown why but we mustn't let the demon king himself get a hold of Tanjiro."
All the Hashira are shocked and listen closely as Kagaya speaks. They weren't convinced about Tanjiro not eating a single human. Now they are even more skeptical then before. How could he walk in the sun if he hadn't eaten a human?
"How is that even possible? How do we know the demon won't attack and eat a human or if he did already"
"It is remarkable that he can walk in the sun. Why don't we ask Tanjiro himself"
Shinobu suggests
Shinobu steps forward with that smile plastered on her face. She looks at Tanjiro closely, watching his every move.
"Have you ever eaten a human before?"
"No"
"Have you ever hurt a human before?"
Shinobu asks
She seems to hit a nerve as Tanjiro hesitates. He doesn't answer right away as he did to deny eating a human. He stares at Shinobu but his eyes flicker to Giyuu. He knows Shinobu is already thinking about it. Giyuu notices too, he sees what Shinobu is trying to do.
Shinobu keeps smiling her eyes never leaving Tanjiro's. She had thought back to that time Giyuu had gone to get treatment for his wounds one time. There wasn't a lot of them but they were deep. Shinobu started to suspect that maybe Tanjiro had lost control and caused the injuries to Giyuu. Tanjiro being silent and his body language answers her question.
"So you have little demon. It might have been an accident but you still brought harm to Giyuu. Master, this is all we need to know to see that Tanjiro isn't safe"
"...I didn't want to"
Tanjiro mutters
Shinobu stands down and backs up. This only made the Hashira more restless in killed Tanjiro. Giyuu can see that Tanjiro still feels guilty about hurting him. Giyuu doesn't blame Tanjiro, he knows it wasn't his fault he lost control. He wants to reassure Tanjiro and tell him it wasn't his fault but he doesn't. He doesn't wanna intrude their masters area which is where Tanjiro sits.
"Master, I promise you that Tanjiro had no intention in hurting me. He regrets it and would never do it purposely"
"Ara ara, Tomioka-san, there's no point-"
"I understand. Giyuu Tomioka and Tanjiro Kamado are free to go."
"Huh?!"
All the Hashira gasp
They are taken aback by Giyuu's sudden pleads and what their master said. Shinobu is surprised that Giyuu would still defend a demon even after hurting him.
"That is all for today. Tomioka, you may take Tanjiro back to the Butterfly mansion to allow him to regain his lost energy"
"Yes master, thank you"
Giyuu thanks
Tanjiro gets up and hops over to Giyuu. He takes his hand and places it on his own head. Giyuu is relieved, he gives Tanjiro head pats. They are much needed and much wanted head pats. It calms Tanjiro receiving the head pats. It calms Giyuu knowing Tanjiro is comfortable around him to want head pats from him.
"Tomioka, I would like you to carry this with you just incase Tanjiro loses control again"
Kagaya says
A Kakushi walks up to Giyuu and hands him a bamboo muzzle. Tanjiro looks at it questioning it. Giyuu takes it and bows at the master.
Giyuu and Tanjiro leave and head to the Butterfly mansion as told. They walk hand in hand, in comfortable silence.
