Jimin returns to work after a week of rest. Jungkook had also taken a week off. The employees were very confused as to why, because their boss never took a break even when he had a high fever. They found it odd that Jungkook caused a ruckus at work the day Jimin went missing and after that he too just suddenly vanished, leaving A/N amd manager Y/N to handle things at work.

The employees were definitely surprised to see their otherwise expressionless boss walk into the office with a huge smile, Jimin walking beside him.
Jungkook was happy because he finally realised what he actually felt for the boy and also happy that Jimin returned his feelings. But he was not that happy that Jimin prevented him from disclosing their relationship. He wanted to shout out to the whole world that he was in love but Jimin didn't want the unnecessary attention. He was also not happy that Jimin hadn't completely accepted him. Jimin was mad at the man for treating him unfairly. But the man was happy that he is given a chance. He knew he had a lot of making up to his love

Jimin knows that Jungkook had a very reserved and cold personality that came from his mother being strict on him to discipline him from childhood. The man had never really received love nor knew what love felt like, that was till Jimin came along. Jimin understood that Jungkook didn't realize that the feeling he felt was love and not that Jimin was the enemy who came to invade and destroy his peace of mind. He felt Jungkook deserved a fair chance to make up to him

Everyone at work started noticing how Jungkook would look Jimin with a longing in his eyes, there were emotions now that they could see. Jungkook would drive Jimin home after work, would call the boy to his office room to eat lunch together, would smile at Jimin's clumsiness in the meeting room. They saw it all. What was happening here?

Jimin felt butterflies in his tummy whenever Jungkook would catch his eyes and wink at him with a slight smile. He felt like they were teenagers who were in the initial phase of their dating life.

Jimin giggles as he chats with the man. He didn't know Jungkook could be so fun and loving. The man never failed to bring a smile onto his face. Their day started and ended with calling or texting each other.
Jimin finally lays down to sleep thinking of the things Jungkook did that day at work. Jungkook had been talking to the manager near the stairway, Jimin had just come there to use the stairs but they were blocking it.
"Oh Jimin... you should hear this too..." the manager says, making Jimin stand behind the man
Jungkook brings his arms behind him to cross his hands behind his back, he extends his left palm towards Jimin, gesturing the boy to hold it while the manager in front explained what he was discussing. The manager couldn't see Jungkook's actions. Jimin cautiously reaches out to place his hand on the man's palm and Jungkook immediately holds it tightly, not letting go as the manager continued talking for a few more minutes. Jimin felt shivers run down his spine as Jungkook softly caressed his palm. It felt strangely intimate. Jimin loved it

Just as he thought he should openly admit about their relationship at work, Jungkook announces a no dating rule among employees and that immediate firing would be the punishment. Jimin was definitely upset but he was the one who said he didn't want to reveal their relationship so they continue dating in secret
Two weeks later though, Jimin comes to know from A/N that the reason why Jungkook said it was because of her. Jungkook considered her like a good friend and she was dating their office's playboy Lee. No matter how hard she tried to break up with him, he would manipulate her into staying and so she asked Jungkook for help. The man Lee broke up with her the next second because to him his job was more important than a quick fck. Jungkook transfered him to his sister company in Busan.
Jimin's respect and admiration for the man increased

Everyone in the office by now knew that something was happening between Jungkook and Jimin. They didn't do anything though, they were just happy that their boss wasn't bothering them about anything and even being lenient if they had any problems with their own relationships.

Jungkook takes Jimin, on the weekend, to Busan to visit grandpa Park. Grandpa Park knew about their relationship- Jimin had informed him. He also knew how the man had treated Jimin before. Naturally he wasn't a huge fan of the man but seeing Jimin happy with Jungkook, he couldn't forbid their relationship
Grandpa Park quietly observes them as they all ate dinner before he speaks
"So you love my grandson?"
Jungkook looks up at grandpa Park and smiles before facing Jimin "Yes .. yes I do... very much.."
Jimin blushes
"What if you fall out of love?"
Jungkook is surprised at that
"How can I fall out of love if he is my very soul? The very reason I exist... If I fall then I die..." Jungkook says with confidence
"Can you guarantee it? Are you sure you will never hurt my son? You have done it before"
"I..."
"Grandpa..." Jimin says before Jungkook cuts him off
"I can't guarantee that. I can only pray and hope that everything will go smoothly between us and that we last forever... I will try my absolute best to never hurt him..." Jungkook smiles sadly "...you have no idea how many punching bags I have replaced to vent out my frustrations for hurting your grandson everyday at work..."
Grandpa scoffs "And you still didn't know that you loved him then?"
Jungkook looks down "No... unfortunately... the feeling was new to me and it made me confused and upset..."
"Love shouldn't make you upset... it should make you feel good and happy..."
"It does... I am very happy right now..." Jungkook quickly says "...I just .. I made a mistake in my judgment... I..."
"What if you make a mistake again? I don't want to lose my grandson..."
Jungkook's eyes tear up as he gets up from the seat and kneels down infront of grandpa Park. Jimin gasps getting up
"J-Jungkook..."
"I really love your grandson. Please give me any punishment you feel is right....I will gladly accept anything.... but please don't separate us....I know I will try my best to never disappoint you both..." Jungkook's head is bowed
Grandpa Park looks at his grandson's tear filled eyes
"What if Jimin falls out of love with you? What will you do? Force him to stay?"
A tear rolls down Jungkook's cheek, his voice cracking ".... I will do everything for him to not fall out of love but if he still does....if he says with confidence and certainty that he doesn't love me anymore...that he isn't happy with me..." everyone could hear the pain behind his voice "..... I will let him go..." Jungkook looks at Jimin with a sad smile "....for his happiness..." tears fall from his eyes "...afterall that's what love is all about right... knowing to let go for the other's happiness"
Jimin is silently sobbing as his grandpa held his hand, preventing him from going to Jungkook
Grandpa Park sighs as he stands up, walks towards Jungkook and holds his shoulder, pulling him up to stand
"So you really love my grandson?"
"With all my heart..."
"Okay ..." he pulls Jimin to stand with Jungkook "...I allow you to marry him..."
Jimin's eyes widen as Jungkook stood shocked
"You knew?"
"No I didn't know. But I have lived a long life now. I have seen a lot. I can just assume what you are thinking in your mind...." he smiles "... don't think I didn't notice you playing with Jimin's ring finger and looking at it lovingly as if you were imagining a ring on it..." he chuckles slightly seeing them both embarrassed "...I'm sorry if I ruined your proposal but I know Jimin doesn't like a big display... he likes things simple... and I don't think he needs to hear anything more than what you just said to say yes to the proposal..." Jungkook and Jimin look at each other and smile, tears still falling occasionally "...you both have my blessings" grandpa squeezes both their palms
Jimin immediately hugs him "Thank you grandpa..."
Jungkook smiles at the man as their eyes meet "Thank you sir..."
"Grandpa.." he corrects Jungkook ".....that's what Jiminah calls me..."
"Thank you for accepting me... us... thank you..." Jimin pulls away just as grandpa pulls Jungkook into a hug "...grandpa..."

Later on
Jungkook and Jimin are at the rooftop talking, looking at the night sky. Grandpa Park had gone to sleep
They stood in silence for a while staring at the sky when Jimin feels something cold on his finger. He gasps
"I'm not that much of a romantic... and I suck at heartfelt words... but please know that I do love you... and I hope you know that I am really sorry for everything I did to you... I am really grateful for your love and kindness... I am happy that you have given me a second chance.... I promise I will try my best to never let you regret your decision..." Jimin smiles "...I hope you like the ring... my mom selected it with me..." Jimin's eyes widen "...yea I told my family about you... they were curious as to why I looked so happy these few months... I couldn't hold it in...."
Jimin's eyes tear up "...so they accept us?"
"They certainly do. They know how much you mean to me..." Jungkook lifts Jimin's left palm to his lips and kisses around the ring "...thank you for accepting me... I love you..."
"I love you too" Jimin says already feeling Jungkook leaning down to pull him into a passionate kiss
