Chapter 4: Will you go out with me?
Work, sleep, eat and repeat who?
Y/N blinked a few times when she saw who just entered her cubicle today, this man always come right in time when she's already done checking up all the patients for the day.
"Gojo-san" she recognized.
"Hi" he greeted and smiled.
Y/N was so convinced now that he came here with another excuse.
"Megumi is no longer sick, why are you still coming here?"
This question made him grin.
"Actually, I'm here to ask you out" he said which surprised Y/N yet she raised a brow at him.
"Excuse me?"
"I'm here to ask you out on a date!" He said cheerfully.
Outside the cubicle, Nitta found herself squeal, she has been sensing why that man has been frequently visiting the clinic, and she likes to see the two interact.
"Ah, Gojo-san..." She trailed off, she couldn't believe what she's hearing.
"You can let me know when you are free, don't worry, I know work comes first" he says.
"Well..." She was kind of hesitating, her eyes trailing off to the things in her clinic, it has been years since she went out with someone for a date, but somewhere in her mind and heart, something's telling her she should say yes, and she doesn't know why. But then she said:
"No"
"What?" He didn't expect to be rejected right away.
"I mean, why? Why would you even ask me out?" Y/N questioned.
"Because why not? I want to get to know you" Y/N was quite taken aback, he was actually being genuine.
A short moment of silence occured, Gojo nervously waited.
'I rarely ask someone out, no actually she's the first ever that I asked out, and I get rejected?'
"You'll get to see Megumi after the date if you want!"
"Okay" she agreed.
'What the heck, did I just agree?'
Gojo blinked a few times. He couldn't believe she agreed, was it because of the mention of Megumi's name?
"Great!" he grinned, and for the first time since their first meeting, he took his sunglasses off. Seeing his blue ocean eyes caught Y/N off guard, she found it so beautiful, it mesmerized her. He was saying something but she was so focused on his eyes.
"Well, see you around" he said.
"Huh?" she asked, finally out of trance.
"Just text me when you are free! Bye!" he waved and walked towards the door.
When he was out of her sight, she seemed to have lost her soul as she just abruptly sat down her swivel chair.
"What did I just get myself into?" She muttered. "But I kind of want to know him too"
"Y/N-saaaaannn!"
Her train of thoughts got interrupted when Nitta slid the door open.
"Are you going out on a date? With Gojo-san?" she says excitedly.
"Ha?? Were you eavesdropping?!"
"Oops" she covered her mouth. "Oh my gosh but I'm so excited! Finally you're seeing someone after-" she paused as she remembered she should not bring up the past. "I mean I'm so happy for you Y/N-san! You should really go, he's so good looking anyway and you suit each other!"
"Just because he's good looking?"
"Well no, he's also generous and, just go with him already!"
"Nitta...go back to work"
"Hai! Sorry!"
Looks like her routine is going to change now.

"Megumiiiiiiiii" the moment he arrived home, he screamed Megumi's name from the top of his lungs. Because of his loud voice, Megumi shut the door of his room, so he knew where his son was.
He loudly slid the door open to Megumi's room and ran to him.
"Megumiiiii"
"What are you-"
"I love you so much, you really are a blessing!" And then he tackled the poor six year old kid in a tight hug.
"G-gojo s-sensei...let me go!" But he even raised him up.
"Should I finally thank your real father he gave you to me even if I hate him?"
"Stop! Hey put me down! Sensei! Put me down!" Yet he even twirled with him.
It was torture to Megumi, but thank God, Gojo's phone rang, so he was put down on his bed and he finally was able to rest.
"Moshi mosh!"
"Gojo Satoru!"
Gojo put his phone away from his ears when the woman behind the line shouted his name.
"Shoko, it's rare for you to shout"
"You...you asked Y/N out?!"
"Yes, why?"
"Are you serious with this?" Gojo put down his phone on Megumi's nightstand and put in on speaker mode. He sat beside Megumi who side eyed him as he stood up and walked away and sat on the floor to play with his toy.
"Yes, I want to get to know her, Shoko"
"You...you better not hurt her Satoru" she sighed, this made Gojo furrow his eyebrows.
"Did something happen?"
"Just, just don't break her heart, okay? I will not tell you not to date her and vice versa because that's your own decisions in life, but that's all I ask, Satoru"
Gojo hummed, what is it that makes Shoko so worried about her?
"Of course, Shoko, I'll take care of her"
"Alright...that's good to hear, does Suguru know about this?"
"Oh! That's right I have to tell him, I also have to request a favor for him to take care of Megumi when I'm away"
"You never let that man rest"
"Nah, Megumi's such a good child he will not even waste a single energy on him"
He only heard a sigh behind the line.
"You know what, Shoko" he started.
"What?"
"Nothing" he just smiled. "Let's hang out soon, the three of us"
A few seconds of silence occured before Shoko responded.
"Alright"
Gojo grinned.
"I have to let you all know when I get married~"
"Gojo Satoru, you haven't even known each other that well yet??"
"Bye Shoko!"
"Gojo-"
And he ended the call before turning excitedly again to Megumi.
"Megumi, I'm getting you a mother!"
"Shut up"

"Auntie!"
Y/N's eyes widened when she saw who was waiting for here in her doorstep when she arrived home. She couldn't believe what she's seeing.
"Yuji!" All of her tiredness seemed to disappear as she put her things down to run towards the little boy.
"Oh my god, I miss you so much!" She hugged him and the boy only giggled.
"I missed you too Auntie! Soooo much!"
"He kept on bugging me for a month now to go here and see you" A man with pink hair chuckled.
"Jin, you don't know how much I missed Yuji" she says, taking her keys out to open her door.
"Come in, come in" she says.
"How long are you staying here in Tokyo? And where are you staying?" She asked while holding the boy's hand.
"We're not here for vacation" the man said and this made Y/N's head tilt.
"Huh? Then...?"
"We're settling down in Tokyo, I've a gotten a job here, and well, Yuji really want to see you always" he scratched the back of his neck and smiled awkwardy.
"Yes Auntie! I want to be with you always"
"Itadori Yuji you little man, I would love to have you here so I won't feel alone" she tickled the boy and the boy bursted laughing.
Said boy was the little boy with her in the picture on her nightstand.
"S-stop! Hahaha! Auntie stop!"
"Alright my beloved nephew, auntie will stop" she said then turned to Itadori Jin, her nephew's father.
"Is Yuji's health alright?"
"Yeah, never been better" Jin said.
"That's great! My nephew is healthy huh" she turned to Yuji.
"I won't get sick ever again! I promise! So that no one will go out to get medicine and have an accident"
At this, Y/N was utterly shocked she couldn't believe what she's hearing, her eyebrows furrowed and she turned to Jin to get some explanation, only to see he had a shocked expression as well.
"Who told you that?" Jin asked his son.
"Grampa"
Jin closed his eyes in frustration. "Oto-san.." He clenched his fists and sighed.
"I'm sorry Y/N" he said, but Y/N just turned to Yuji.
"Don't think about that okay? Accidents happen, and it's not because you got sick and someone takes care of you, okay? Promise me not to think and say it ever again? Or auntie will get really sad"
"Alright auntie, I promise! Don't be sad!"
"Good" she said and ruffled his hair.
"Stop auntieee!" He giggled.
"I am glad to see you two having fun" Jin commented. "I'm sure Chiyo would've loved to see this sight"
At the mention of the name, Y/N's smile faded for a while, but then she smiled weakly.
"I'm sure" she said. "Yuji's the only remainder of her to me"
"Me as well" Jin said. "There's not a day I miss your sister"
Y/N only gave him a weak smile, trying not to remember the death of her older sister.
Chiyo died after a car accident while trying to get Yuji medicine because he got really sick.
"Don't blame yourself as well, it's an accident" Y/N said, knowing her brother-in-law still kinds of blames himself he was at work, and not the one who took care of Yuji that time.
Jin smiled. "Alright" he said and Y/N just played with her nephew once more before dinner.
