henry's POV
i wipe my tears and stand up, leaving the bathroom.
i should probably find liam.
as im walking down the halls i see jake waving goodbye to drew as he walks into the music room.
was it rehearsals already?
i walk up to drew.
"drew! do u know where liam is?" i ask.
"uh yeah, he went home. he seemed pretty bummed, do yk what happened?" drew explains.
"uh, no- we were skipping class and he just went to the bathroom and didnt come back." i lie.
"i assumed he got caught but i guess not." i add on.
drew nodded. i dont think he believes me.
"well, im gonna go over to liams to check on him. enjoy your alone time with jake" i smirk.
"shut up." drew laughs.
as soon as im far away enough from drew, i start to speed up.
was liam really that upset?

liam's POV
i arrive home, but park a few houses down so my mom doesn't see my car.
i walk down the side of my house, climbing up a drain pipe and going into my room through the window.
throwing my bag down, i flop onto my bed and just lay there.
literally nothing else. no crying, no screaming into a pillow or some shit, i just lie on my bed face first.
"ughhh. kill me." i groan, turning over to lay on my back.
i suddenly hear a knock.
my body shoots up and turns straight to the window.
wait- henry?
"holy shit-" i mutter, getting up and opening my window.
"dude, did you walk all the way here?" i ask.
"yeah, i needed, to, talk, to you." he says between pants.
"can i come in?" he asks.
i sit there for a moment, realising he is outside in the heat.
"oh- yeah, come in." i say.
he climbs in and flops on my bed.
"god u live far away." he says muffled against the sheets.
"you literally live nextdoor" i reply.
"yeah but i dont usually walk." henry says, sitting up.
i sigh. "is there a reason you came here, henry?" i ask, unzipping my bag and grabbing out my homework.
"liam you know why i came" he says.
theres a silence as i ignore him and start my homework.
i hear henry sigh.
"listen, i'm sorry for getting all up in your personal business."
"it wont happen again i promise" he adds on.
i stay silent.
he didnt really do anything, i was the one who ran away.
i get off my chair and sit next to henry
"its fine dude, you didnt really do anything." i say.
"i just want you to know i.." i start

"sooo, you forgive me?" he asks.
"yeah, i forgive you" i smile
he smiles back and hugs me, really, really, tight.
"yay! thanks liam!" he cheers, literally squeezing the organs out of me.
"uh yeah, your welcome" i try to say, hugging him back.
"oh- sorry dude" henry laughs, letting go after realising he was about to kill me.
i chuckle and sit back in my spot again.
"whats that?" henry asks.
"whats what?" i ask.
"that book thingy on your desk" he adds.
"what book-" shit.
i look over at my desk to see the journal that i wrote about henry,
"uh, its nothing." i blurt out, grabbing the book and shoving it into a drawer.
"is that.. a diary?!" henry gasps jokingly.
well its better then him knowing what it actually is
"maybe" i say, laughing a little.
"liam hayes! i would have never expected that from you man" henry laughs
"shut up" i scoff, nudging him.

me and liam ended up watching glee until it was 7 at night.
"i gotta go, my parents will go crazy if they see me out. i kindaaa got grounded." i say, getting up and grabbing my bag,
"ok lettuce brain." liam smirks.
"i hope a monster crawls out of your bed and eats you." i say back, climbing out the window.
"yeah yeah, cya henry." liam chuckles.
"cya liam." i reply, closing his window.
i silently climb through my window and into my room, trying to muffle the thud my feet make on the floor when i land.
"henry? are you okay?" i hear my mum call out.
"yes mum" i call out, closing my window.
i set down my bag and pull out my laptop, flopping onto my bed.
my mum had always been on my tail ever since i had self harmed.
it was once. literally one cut, and now she watches me like a hawk.
it gets annoying, but i get she has good intentions.
my mind starts to wander back to liam and that book on his desk.
i saw writing on the front cover, but couldn't quite make out what it says.
it said something about love.
gosh, that crush of his really must be important to him.
as much as i wish that person could be me, i have to be happy for liam. he seems really passionate about this person.
i hear muffled yelling from my parents room.
they're fighting again.
i sigh and flop onto my bed, staring at my ceiling fan.
suddenly my phone pings.

i set down my phone and grab my headphones, sliding out the mic and joining the call.
my ears are instantly filled with the sound of liam, drew and jake fighting or something.
"ay! henry!" jake cheers.
"ready to play some mc? we're gonna play survival with a zombie apocalypse mod" drew adds on.
"yeah, sure" i smile.

a bit of a short chapter but i had like 0 motivation lol
anyways, i just watched maze runner for the first time and let me tell you, NEWTS DEATH MADE ME DEPRESSED- like the moment the movie ended after newts letter, i started crying for about 2 hours, started to read wattpads about newt, saved a ton of pics of him from pinterest, made a folder in my photo gallery for him, contemplated killing myself to be with newt, complained to my sister, then cried myself to sleep while screaming into a pillow 😻
he was my favourite character ok? and he was an adorable cute little shit 😭
AND THEN THAT BITCH TERESA GETS A MORE DRAMATIC DEATH, AND MORE TEARS! LIKE EXCUSE ME? the least they could do was give newt his own rock to carve his name on, not right next to FUCKING TERESA'S NAME- AND HERS WAS BIGGER AS WELL. LIKE WHAT? 😡😡
