"Good morning you two how are you today?" Dr Shaw said smiling at Saint and kalani who sat on the couch next to each other , it's been a month since kalani grand opening and she's been busy as ever, this is their 4th appointment with dr Shaw.
"Busy but I'm good" kalani smiled
"And Saint how are you?" Dr Shaw asked
"I'm good, I miss her but I'm good" he said and kalani rolled her eyes playfully
"Oh Saint please!" She giggled making dr Shaw smiled
"Why do you miss her? She's right here?" She asked Saint who sigh dramatically
"All she do is work all week I've been bored" she said making dr Shaw laugh
"I remember you telling me that last time she's a woman girl huh?" dr Shaw said making kalani smile
"Yes bro" he mumbled making kalani suck her teeth
"So I realized y'all been writing in your journals , I'm really proud of you both I've read a few lines in your book and I've realized how much you two love each other. Today we're going to talk about forgiveness I think that's the only thing you two are missing here. " they both nodded listening to her
"I'm going to be very honest what I've realized is Saint has not forgiven you for leaving him even tho he is the cause and kalani you haven't forgiven Saint for hurting you. I know you two say you have forgiven each other but there's a blockage " kalani nodded taking in what she was saying
"Ok Saint let's start with you, you said that you wished that she wouldn't of left you even tho you pushed her away and being without her and Dakota hurts " he nodded listening to her
"I uh sometimes I sit and think of the fact that I didn't see Dakota born or I didn't see Kalaní pregnant everyday I look at Dakota and realize how much I missed out on " he said truthfully
"Kalani how do you feel about that?"
"I knew he was upset. Sometimes he looks at me when I have Dakota in my arms and he just stares. I know it breaks his heart and I feel so bad that all of this has happened I wish we were normal and we could have a baby and a white picket fence but I know it isn't that simple" kalani expressed without crying making herself proud
"I believe Saint doesn't forgive himself or you for all that he's missed out on. It's hard to forgive ourselves for thing so we try to place the blame elsewhere. I think Saint wants to hear that you kalani truly forgive him. I believe he thinks that you don't and your putting on a act like you do" kalani sucked in a breathe she didn't realize this at all, she turned to Saint grabbing his hands
"I forgive you Saint" she held his hand while rubbing it with her thumb he looked at her clenching his jaw everytime he stepped in this room he hated how emotional he got
"Saint do you believe her?" Dr Shaw asked and Saint cleared his throat nodding
"Yea, yea I do" he looked at kalani who turned her head to dr Shaw
"Now you kalani what is it going to take for you to forgive Saint?" Dr Shaw asked and kalani released a breathe
"I don't know, I forgive him but I just don't trust him fully" kalani said truthfully, Saint remained quiet.
"Saint why are you so quiet?" Dr Shaw asked
"I don't know what more I gotta do for her to trust me" he said and kalani looked at him nibbling on her lip
"Saint I just idk I need time. It's alot and you know that I trust you enough with my daughter and my life. I just don't trust you enough with my heart " she told him and he nodded, he stood up and opened the door walking out the room making her breathe hitch
"Oh, are you okay kalani?" Dr shaw asked and kalani nodded holding back her tears she didn't expect him to walk out the room
"I'm going to give him a few minutes, let's talk about how you feel about him walking out" kalani said to dr Shaw who wrote in her book
"He's never the one to walk out it's always me, I get frustrated and I stop talking or I would walk away but him doing that makes my stomach turn. I don't mean to hurt him by saying how I feel" she couldn't hold the tears back anymore as they fell down her face, Saint walked back into the room looking at her. He sat down grabbing her arm
"I'm sorry baby Ight? This shit alot for me you know getting in my feelings n shit ion like that. A nigga was about to cry and shit so I had to step out, I know you don't trust me with ya heart and that's my fault, dr Shaw i know what I need to do , I need to show her how much I love her and need her in my life " he said wiping kalani tears
"Don't do that! I thought you were mad" she poked her bottom lip out making him smile
"Why would I be mad? You right to feel however you do I tell you that every time mama" he kissed her forehead making dr Shaw smile
"Saint I'm proud of you for not leaving but don't walk out next time it's ok to cry and be open " dr Shaw told
Him and he nodded
"You a big ass cry baby bro " he looked at kalani laughing as she pushed him away
"Seeing you two grow in short timing has been beautiful, I love the progress. I will see you two next week I believe!" Dr Shaw said making them smile, kalani stood up and Saint did too
"See ya later" kalani waved to her and walked out the door, Saint smacked her ass making her stop in her tracks
"You so heavy handed!" She mugged hun walking out the door towards the car, he opened her door letting her get inside and walked around to his side.
"Okay I spoke to the caterer and she said it'll be $700 I already paid her half and she will get the other half when she gets there" she told Saint who nodded, Dakota was turning one in a few weeks and her parents were so happy of course she didn't understand what was going on
"Ight we matching colors n shit?" He asked her and she nodded
"Yes! I don't know what we are wearing yet but I'm going shopping next week but the cake is planned out and the food and her outfit and we're using your mom house so I know that's already going to be spotless " kalani rambled on and Saint just sat and listened he knew how excited she was about Dakota turning one but Saint couldn't help but feel sad because his baby growing right before his eyes
"Ight just let me know what you need me to do" he told her rubbing her thigh as she typed on her phone to her assistant, her shop was booming she hired different girls who did hair and lashes to rent out the booths or the chairs she was making a lot of money in so little time she was proud of herself.
"I do need you to get the boys and put the stuff together but that's not until the party so we got time" she told him as he pulled into his mother drive way , she got out the car and walked to the front door Saint walked behind her smacking her ass hard
"OUCH! MOVE " she mugged him pushing him back
"What you mad for?" She ignored him walking into his mom house, she walked into the living room seeing ms Rachel playing on the tv and Dakota clapping her hands sitting on her nana lap
"Awww pumkin you so cute!"'kalani said making dakota looked over tilting her head, she realized it was her mom and start to fall out her nana lap
"Little girl what are you doing!" Saint mom picked her up as Dakota tried to break free
"Hi koko you missed mama?" Kalani grabbed Dakota kissing all over her face making her laugh, she stood up walking Dakota over to Saint who smiled showing his teeth. Dakota cooed at him reaching her arms out Saint took her from kalani
"I want you to remember that I pushed you out! Also I was the one who gave you the puffers at 4 am and your daddy said no!"kalani pointed her finger at Dakota who grabbed it with her hand trying to put it in her mouth
"Yo mama a hater, wassup fat girl" he sat on the chair as Dakota played with his chain
"Ma, did you give me your list of people you invited?" Kalani walked over to the couch sitting by Lisa (I don't remember if I gave his mom a name or not)
"Oops! No I didn't sweetie hold on, I just invited a few of our cousins and aunts " she told kalani who grabbed her iPad out of her purse opening it to the invite list
"It's your house ma I just wanted to make sure I didn't invite too many people. " For the most part kalani likes most of Saint family of course they have some rude folks who she ignores
"Girl please! It's my grandbaby first birthday! We having a block party " she cheered making kalani laugh
"Ain't no Damn block party and ma don't invite nobody from his side ion have time for that" Saint said making his mom roll her eyes, kalani nibbled on her bottom lip she knew how Saint felt about his dad and his side of the family.
"Saint baby we can leave" kalani said rubbing Saint shoulder, bully dragged Saint to his aunt May cookout which was his dad sister.
"Nah I'm cool" Saint grabbed kalani thigh he was getting annoyed with the fact that his father just walked in the house. He hasn't spoken to his father in years and he didn't plan on it
"You sure? How about I get you some food, the Mac and cheese looks good your aunt may made it" kalani whispered in Saint ear making him turn his head in her direction. She was wearing camo pants with his shirt tied up she had just got her hair done and she decided to do her make up he loved that she got herself done up to impress his family even tho he told her she didn't have anyone to impress
"You look good mamas" he told her making her blush even after a year together he still made her blush every chance he could
"Thank you Saint, seriously do you want some food? You've been clenching your jaw for the past 5 minutes relax. " she told him and he nodded
"Come on I'll go with you" he stood up patting her side letting her walk towards the kitchen she grabbed two plates and gave him one
"Ok ima do your plate first then mine" he nodded watching her put everything on his plate that he wanted
"Nah ion want No potato salad I know who made it" he made a mug making her laugh she didn't put any on her plate either
"Baby you want som-" she got cut off by a man speaking
"Wassup son" the man spoke making kalani eyes grow wide, she knew exactly who it was. His aunt told him that he wouldn't be here
"Don't call me that. I'm not ya son" Saint gritted through his teeth, bully walked over sucking his teeth looking at their father
"Yo what you doing here?" Bully said looking at his father
"This is my sisters house, I'm allowed to be here I was told my sons were here I came to see y'all" he said smiling, kalani took the plate out of Saint hand sitting it on the counter
"Come on Saint we can go somewhere " kalani mumbled she's only seen Saint really angry once and he promised her she'd never see him like that again but at this moment he couldn't help it
"Stop calling me yo fucking son I ain't gon tell yo bitch ass again" bully heard the tone and Saint voice and stood in front of him, he knew how fast this could go left
"Yo calling me a bitch young blood? Ya momma must ain't teach y'all shit" he said
"The fuck you just say about my momma?" Bully stepped forward face to face at his father, it grew the attention of everyone. Kalani grew nervous as she watched Saint hand her his phone, she knew exactly what was about to happen
"Dre! Get out of here ! Your not supposed to be here!" Aunt May yelled at her brother she knew how fucked up he was she didn't associate herslef with him
"Repeat that shit again" Saint said standing on the other side of his father , kalani had his keys and his phone in her pocket
"Saint , bully let's go please!" Kalani pleaded, Saint looked at her then back at his father
"Wait in the car for me mama" he spoke to her and she stepped back hearing the tone he spoke to her
"That's ya lady? That's a fine piece of-" Saint punched him in his face making his father swing back, bully started swinging as they jumped their father everyone screamed trying to pull them apart, kalani stood there watching a few guys pull his father from bully hold
"ALRIGHT GUYS ALRIGHT" aunt May screamed as Saint stood up, kalani looked at him grabbing his arm
"Come on baby that's enough" she whispered as they held bully back, Saint wiped his mouth and grabbed kalani arm
"Hold on let him go!,come on bully " she said and bully snatched his arms and followed behind kalani and Saint, she walked them to Saint car making them get in. She got in the drivers seat blowing a breathe
"I'm never coming to a family event with you guys ever again!"

"Saint stop rubbing my leg" kalani giggled as she sat on Saint desk as he read over some papers, the whole crew was out at the club tonight Saint had a big artist preforming today so everyone wanted to come, kalani didn't really care to come but of course Saint made her
"You look good ,you ain't got no panties on?" Saint asked and kalani opened her legs showing him her nude underwear
"Mhmmm" she closed her legs back smiling
"I'm going down there to check on my friends. Come find me yes?" She said and he nodded, he grabbed her neck pulling her towards him pecking her lips, she stood up pulling down her skirt walking out the door
"Aye make sure nell walk you down, ion want nobody playin with you" he told her and she nodded, she opened the door seeing nell and jj standing by Saint door
"Nell can you walk me down please, Saint doesn't want me to go by myself" he nodded as she walked down the steps, he walked her to the bar
"I'm good now! I'll let you know if I need you" he nodded stepping back , kalani waved at the bartender
"Hi! Can I strawberry lemonade with a double shot of henny please!" She asked and the bartender nodded turning around she danced in her spot to the music playing before feeling a tap on her shoulder , she turned her head seeing drew stranding there
"Wassup, long time no see" he said making kalani make a yikes face, she hasn't talked to him in weeks she was ignoring him at first until he stopped trying
"Hey drew" kalani chuckled looking at him, he looked nice she couldn't front but he wasn't Saint
"You been ignoring me and shit I thought we was cool lani?" He said and she shrugged
"I have a man now I'm sorry" she said and he licked his lips
"What gotta do with me?" Drew said cockily
"Well-" kalani got cut off by feeling a hand on her hip, she looked down seeing Saint tattooed covered hand making her heart speed up she knew this wasn't going to end well.
