IN SEARCH OF HER...

CHAPTER 9

Sameer stared at her swollen eyes which pained him a lot. Without caring about the consequences, he leaned towards her and kissed her eyes softly. Maybe that could lessen her pain. After each kiss, he whispered, "I am sorry Naina..."

That small gesture touched her heart. Naina knew that it wasn't his fault. It was all a misunderstanding. He himself had no idea that Soniya would play a dirty game here. But now, Naina was sure that he loved her truly. She could see it in his eyes.

"Sameer...", she whispered softly breaking his trance. He gave her a charming smile that stole her breath away yet again. She realized her position and lowered her eyes. "Sameer... mujhe bhi tumse kuch share karna hai. Main uss subah wahaan se tumhe bina bataaye kyun chali gayi, yeh toh tumhe pataa chal gaya aur wohh misunderstanding bhi aaj clear ho gayi. Tumne apne dil ki baat toh bataa di, ab... ab mujhe bhi tumse kuch kehna hai..."

Though Sameer released her from his hug halfheartedly, he still didn't let go of her hand. Naina was surely nervous, but she had to speak what was going on in her mind, in her heart since their first meet. She knew if she didn't say anything now, she wouldn't get another chance.

Sameer was here only for her. He had taken so much efforts to woo her, win her trust and her love. Even when he was busy with his games, he had taken out time for her and she couldn't lose this chance to confess her feelings.

Meeting his gaze, Naina started, "Sameer... tumhe mere baare mein, meri family ke baare mein sab pehle hi pataa hai. Aur tum yeh bhi jaante ho ki tum wohh pehle ladke ho, jiske saath maine poori raat guzaari thi. Jab maine tumhe pehli baar dekha tha naa Sameer, tab main tumhe dekhti hi reh gayi thi. Tumhari iss charming si smile ne mere dil mein jagah banaa li thi. Fir humne hamari life share ki, hum dost bane, hum wohh shaam, wohh raat saath mein rahe."

Sameer heard her quietly but his heart was thudding loudly. Naina continued knowing fully well what he expected her to say, "Sameer... tum meri life mein ek hawa ke jhonke ki tarah aaye the uss shaam, aur sab kuch badal gaya. Tumne uss raat meri bohot saari wishes poori ki, jo shaayad aur koi naa kar paata, meri family bhi nahi. Jab jab tumne mera haath pakda, tab lagaa ki kaash yeh haath, yeh saath kabhi naa chute. Uss raat jab hum ek hue, toh lagaa ki shaayad hamari kismat bhi yahi chaahti hai ki hum iss zindagi mein saath rahe."

"Naina...", he wanted to say something but Naina kept her palm over his mouth. "Sameer... mujhe bolne do please... warna main waapis yeh sab nahi keh paaungi." He shook his head and moved her palm away.

"Jab subah wohh call suna, aur wohh message padha toh bohot buraa lagaa, bohot gussa bhi aaya, par kahin naa kahin main khud iss baat par yakin nahi kar paa rahi thi ki tum mujhe cheat kar sakte ho. Mere dil aur dimaag dono mein ek jung si chid gayi thi. Jab mera dil tumhare taraf jhookta toh mera dimaag Soniya ko beech mein laakar usse chup karaa deta."

Naina smiled at him, "Fir wohh din aaya, jab tumne apne live interview mein apne pyaar ka izhaar kiya." Palming his cheek, she continued, "Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki tum mujhse pyaar kar sakte ho Sameer. Main ek bohot maamuli si ladki hun, aur tum football team ke captain. Bohot farak hai hum dono mein, Sameer. Par jis tarah tumne apne dil ki baat bina hichkichaaye poori duniya ke saamne kahi, main usse jhoothla nahi paayi. Mere liye tumhara pyaar tumhari aankhon mein dikhta hai Sameer."

Tears filled in his eyes knowing that she understood his love for her. "Main khush hona chaahti thi ki tum mujhse pyaar karte ho, par fir se Soniya ka khayaal mann mein aa jaata aur main apne emotions control kar keti thi. Darr lag raha tha Sameer ki kahin waapis mera dil naa toot jaaye, shaayad yeh sab sirf ek sapna naa ho. Fir mujhe job mili, sach kahun toh mera bohot mann hua ki tumhe bataaun, meri khushi tumhare saath share karu, par fir maine apne dil ko rok liya. Mere liye yeh sab aasaan nahi tha Sameer, kyunki main tum tak pohonchne ki himmat nahi jutaa paa rahi thi. Maine tumhe bohot miss kiya hai Sameer... itna miss kiya hai ki tum soch bhi nahi sakte."

Sameer was elated hearing this and replied, "I have missed you too Naina..." She smiled, "Main jaanti hun Sameer ki tumne bhi mujhe bohot miss kiya hai." Taking a pause, she continued, "Fir tumne gifts bhejna shuru kiya, fir mere liye wohh gaane gaaye aur mujhe pehli baar message karke wohh videos bheje. Sameer... tum dheere dheere mere dil ke aas paas banaayi hui deewaar gira rahe the. Jo jagah tumne hamari pehli mulaaqaat mein banaayi thi, wohh waapis tumhari ho rahi thi. Main bas intezaar kar rahi thi ki kab tum mere saamne aaoge. Darr rahi thi ki main tumse kya kahungi aur khush bhi ho rahi thi ki aakhir mein hum aamne saamne aayenge. Mere saath saath poori duniya ne tumhara pyaar dekha hai Sameer, toh main usse kaise nakaar sakti hun."

Naina closed her eyes for a moment and opened them to look at the person with whom she too had fallen in love. "Sameer... aaj tumhe office mein dekhkar main hairaan nahi hui thi, kyunki main khud tumhara intezaar kar rahi thi. Main jaanti thi ki hamari bohot jald mulaaqaat honewali hai. Tumne mujh tak pohonchne mein bohot mehnat ki hai Sameer. Isiliye maine pehle hi soch liya tha ki pehle tumse baat karungi, Soniya ke baare mein poochungi, fir hi decide karungi ki main tumhe second chance dungi yaa nahi."

Sameer couldn't stop himself from asking, "Ab jab Soniya ke baare mein tumhe sab sach pataa chal gaya hai, toh kya tum mujhe second chance dogi Naina? Main sach mein tumse bohot pyaar karta hun Naina. I Love You..."

Naina had already made her decision and she didn't hesitate before saying, "Jab tumhari koi galti hi nahi thi, toh main tumhe yeh second chance kyun nahi dungi? Tum yeh second chance deserve karte ho Sameer."

Before Sameer could react, Naina stopped him, "Mujhe aur bhi kuch kehna hai." Hearing this, Sameer stopped himself from hurling her back in his arms. He only knew how much he was resisting himself from doing just that.

Naina looked at him and spoke wholeheartedly, "Mujhe bhi tumse pehli nazar mein hi pyaar ho gaya tha Sameer, par tabhi kuch keh nahi paayi, kyunki kahin naa kahin mujhe lagaa ki hum waapis kabhi nahi milenge. Aur shaayad kuch dino baad tum mujhe bhool bhi jaao. Isliye maine tabhi kuch nahi kahaa. Mujhe lagaa ki pataa nahi tum kahin mujhe paagal hi naa samjho. Fir aage toh tum jaante ho, kya hua. Aur aaj main bhi tumse yahi kehna chaahti hun ki... ki... main bhi tumse bohot pyaar karti hun Sameer. I Love You too..."

Sameer's eyes misted as his wait was finally over. Naina loved him too. His happiness knew no bounds and he finally pulled her in his arms, "I Love You Naina... I Love You so so so much..."

Sameer still couldn't believe that Naina too had confessed her love to him. But he had been sure that she loved him too. He had seen it first hand in the morning when he had met her. Her happy tears, her bold replies had screamed at him that she loved him too and he was proven right.

Naina finally felt at peace in his arms. She belonged to him; he was her home. She could hear his erratic heartbeats clearly. She knew what effect she had on him. It was after a long time that they were together, that too alone, in his penthouse.

Naina asked, "Tumne abhi tak mujhe jawaab nahi diya Sameer. Kya yeh ghar tumhara hai?" Sameer hid his smile and without replying yet again, he pulled her up from the couch, "Mere saath chalo, kuch dikhaana hai tumhe."

Naina went with him willingly towards a room. Sameer opened the door for her and asked her to enter first. As she entered the bedroom, she stood stunned with what she saw in front of her eyes.

There was a huge picture of them just over his king-size bed. "Yeh... yeh photo kahaan se aayi. Humne toh uss din koi picture click nahi kiya tha." She moved closer to the picture and realized that it was the one from the nightclub when they had been dancing together.

"Yeh picture maine uss nightclub ke video feed se nikaala hai. Ab hum dono ka koi saath mein photo tha hi nahi naa." Naina smiled, "Toh Mr Sameer Maheshwari ne mujhe dhoondne mein bohot mehnat ki hai, hai naa?"

Sameer pulled her back in his arms again, "Sach kahun Naina... toh maine jyaada kuch nahi kiya. Haan... pehle maine tumhe sabhi social media sites par dhoonda, par main sirf tumhara pehla naam jaanta tha, toh dhoondna possible nahi tha. Fir Reyansh ne meri help ki."

"Kaun Reyansh?", Naina asked curiously. Sameer then explained to her that Reyansh was his manager and his friend now, and how he had helped him to find her. He was the one who had stood by his side and helped him immensely. It was because of him that they were together right now.

Sameer picked up a file from the bedside table and handed it over to her. Naina read quietly for few minutes and she shrieked, "Sameer... yeh... yeh kya hai? Tum... tumne yeh kyun kiya?"

Sameer back hugged her, "Naina... jab maine kahaa ki main tumse pyaar karta hun toh iska yeh matlab hai ki jo mera hai, wohh tumhara bhi hai. Infact jo bhi mera hai, wohh ab se hamara hai."

Naina turned in his arms and faced him, "Sameer... yeh... yeh abhi galat hai. Tumhare mummy-papa mere baare mein kya sochenge? Unhe lagega ki main ek gold-digger hun. Tum aise kaise yeh ghar hum dono ke naam kar sakte ho? Hum abhi toh saath hue hai."

Sameer kissed her forehead, "Naina... I Love You... mere liye tum wohh pehli aur aakhri ladki ho jiske saath main apni poori zindagi guzaarna chaahta hun. Uss raat ke baad maine soch liya tha ki tum hi mera sab kuch ho Naina. Aur maine khudse promise bhi kiya tha ki main tumhari saari wishes poori karunga, jo uss bucket list mein likhi hai aur wohh bhi jo uss list mein nahi likhi. Khudka ghar hona yahi tumhara sapna tha naa, toh aaj main yeh sapna poora kar raha hun Naina. Yeh ghar naa toh mera hai, naa tumhara... yeh hamara ghar hai Naina... Hamesha se iss ghar mein akele raha hun, mummy-papa kabhi kabhi aa jaate hai yahaan mujhse milne. Tumhare aane ke baad, ab main akela nahi rahunga. Tumhare aane se iss ghar mein raunak aa gayi hai. Ab yahaan sirf khushiyaan hi khushiyaan hongi. Main jaanta hun ki abhi yeh sawaal poochna sahi nahi hoga, par fir bhi main yeh chance nahi chod sakta. Aur ab main wait nahi kar paaunga."

Naina held her breath as she knew what he was about to ask. Going down on his knee, Sameer held her hand and asked, "Naina... I Love You... Hum jabse mile hai, meri poori duniya badal gayi hai. Pehle main sirf mere parents aur football se pyaar karta tha. Par tumse milne ke baad, main tumse bhi pyaar karne lagaa hun. Inn kuch hafton mein tumse durr rehkar main samajh gaya ki tum meri zindagi mein kya maayne rakhti ho. Aur ab main tumse durr nahi rehna chaahta. Tum meri har saans mein basti ho Naina, jis ke bina main ek pal bhi nahi guzaar sakta. I know yeh sab bohot fast ho raha hai, par main ab tumse durr nahi rehna chaahta Naina. Ab yeh doori mujhse bardaasht nahi hogi. Bohot mushkil se aaj hum dono saath mein hai, ab main nahi chaahta ki fir se hamare beech koi misunderstandings ho yaa koi hamare beech aaye. Toh Ms Naina Agarwal... kya tum mere saath apni poori zindagi bitaani chahogi? Will you marry me, Naina?"

Naina stood stunned as she heard his heartfelt proposal. She had not imagined that she would hear this from him so soon. She had no doubts whatsoever on him now. Everything was sorted and she knew what she felt for him. She knew this was going too fast between them, but she had no regrets for what she was going to answer him.

Without pondering much, Naina replied, "Sameer... main bhi tumse pyaar karti hun, bohot pyaar karti hun. Mujhe tum par poora trust hai Sameer. Main jaanti hun ki tum mujhse bohot pyaar karte ho, aur mere liye tum kuch bhi karoge. Mere saare sapne, meri saari wishes, sab poora karoge. Main bhi tumse shaadi karna chaahti hun... Yes... I will marry you Sameer."

Sameer jumped in happiness and was about to hug her when Naina interrupted, "Lekin... Meri life mein bhi aaj tak sirf mere parents hi hai, jinhone mujhe itna pyaar diya aur jinki wajah se main aaj yahaan hun. Aaj tak mere zindagi ke saare decisions unhone hi liye hai."

Holding his hands, Naina continued, "Main tumse shaadi karne ke liye ready hun Sameer, lekin usse pehle tumhe mere mummy-papa se milna hoga, unse mera haath maangna hoga. Mere liye jitne tum important ho, utne hi mere parents bhi important hai. Jitna pyar main tumse karti hun, utna unse bhi karti hun. Toh kya tum mere mummy-papa se mera haath maangoge? Unse milne ke liye tum ready ho?"

Sameer could hold no longer and took her in his arms again, "Naina... main tumhare liye kuch bhi kar sakta hun. Tum mujhse shaadi karne ke liye ready ho, abhi ke liye yeh hi kaafi hai. Aur waise bhi aaj nahi toh kal mujhe tumhare parents se milna hi hai. Main mere parents ke saath tumhare ghar aaunga Naina, tumhara haath, tumhara saath, tumhare parents se maangne."

As Naina started to speak, he interrupted, "Waise maine mere parents ko hamare baare mein aaj sab bataa diya hai. Aur wohh dono hamare rishte se khush hai." Naina asked, "Sab... I mean... tumne sab bataa diya?"

Sameer understood what she meant, yet decided to tease her, "Haan... Sab bataa diya, hum kaise mile, uss shaam aur uss raat kya kya hua hamare beech, sab bataa diya hai maine. Kyun... nahi bataana tha kya?"

Naina hit him on his chest, "Tum aise kaise sab bataa sakte ho Sameer? Tumhe sab nahi bataana chahiye tha, especially uss raat ke baare mein. Kya sochenge wohh mere baare mein?"

Unable to hold himself, Sameer chuckled, "Naina... tum soch bhi kaise sakti ho ki main uss raat ke baare mein kisiko bhi bataaunga. Jo hua wohh sirf hamare beech ki baat hai Naina. Main kabhi kisiko bhi wohh sab nahi bataa sakta. Wohh sab baatein personal hai, hamara secret hai. Aur main tumse pyaar karta hun, toh aise kaise main tumhe sharminda hone de sakta hun? I love you Naina and you are mine to treasure for life."

Naina sighed in relief and hit him again, "Toh tum mujhse mazaak kar rahe the Sameer Maheshwari? Meri taang kheench rahe the?" He nodded in reply, "Ab kya karun? Tum itne hafton baad mere saath ho, ab main tumhe tang nahi karunga toh aur kaun karega huh? Mera itna haq toh banta hai naa tum par?"

"Tumhara poora haq hai mujhpar Sameer.", saying that she hugged him tightly finding her solace.

Suddenly realizing something, Sameer spoke, "I know yeh thoda ajeeb hai, mere paas tumhe dene ke liye abhi ring bhi nahi hai. Wait... but I have something else for you right now." Saying that, he removed the gold chain that he was wearing and put it around Naina's neck, even before she could try to object it.

"Sameer... yeh..." Sameer kept his finger on her lips, "Sshhhh... ab kuch mat bolna. Main tumhe aaj propose nahi karne waala tha, isliye mere paas koi ring nahi thi. Par ab jab tumne bhi mera proposal accept kar liya hai, toh main tumhe meri koi nishaani dena chaahta hun, jisse tum mujhe hamesha apne paas mehsoos kar sako."

Naina touched the chain while he continued, "Naina... ab toh tum jaanti ho ki main national football team ka captain hun, bohot saari responsibilities hai mujhpar. Main har waqt tumhare saath nahi rahunga, isliye yeh chain tumhe meri yaad dilaayega ki koi hai jo tumse bohot pyaar karta hai. Aur main tumhe officially tab hi propose karunga jab tumhare parents mujhe accept karenge. Waise main jaanta hun ki tumhare parents mujhe accept kar hi lenge, aakhir main bhi Sameer Maheshwari hun... Indian Football Team ka captain..."

Naina rolled her eyes. "Thik hai, thik hai, Mr Sameer Maheshwari... Indian Football Team ka captain... ab kuch khaa lein, waise bhi mujhe bohot bhook lagi hai. Lunch mein maine thik se kuch khaaya bhi nahi tha."

Sameer picked her up in his arms and walked back to the living room. Settling her on the chair, Sameer opened the lids of all the casseroles placed on the dining table.

Sameer didn't miss the amused look on her face while she continued looking at all the dishes on the table. "Aaj maine tumhare liye Italian khaana order kiya tha. Tumhe saare continental dishes try karni hai naa?"

Naina's eyes misted and she looked at him, "Tumhe sab yaad hai, hai naa?" How could he forget that his Naina wanted to taste all the continental dishes, it was one of the things in her bucket list. He remembered everything about her. He had promised himself that he would fulfil all her wishes and this was just the beginning.

They relished all the dishes heartily and kept talking about the past few days. Naina told him how she was impressed with his wooing while Sameer told her how he had arranged everything for her with the help of his manager cum friend. They washed the dishes together and cleaned the dining table. Naina was getting a glimpse of her after married life. This would be their normal life when they will be at home.

It was almost eleven at night when Naina realized it was time to leave. She had no heart to leave Sameer right now, but she had to go home. Her parents would be waiting for her. At that precise moment, her mobile rang. Her mother was calling her.

Naina picked up the call and she heard her mother's voice, "Naina... kahaan hai tu? Ghar kab aayegi?" "Main bas nikal hi rahi hun mummy. Aap chinta mat kijiye, main aadhe ghante mein ghar aa jaaungi."

As Naina disconnected the call, Sameer pulled her in his arms, "Naina... jaana zaruri hai kya? Kya tum aaj raat mere paas nahi reh sakti?" She rubbed his back lovingly, "Sameer... yeh tum bhi jaante ho ki main yahaan nahi ruk sakti, par... par main promise karti hun ki main tumse roz milungi. Jab tak tum yahaan ho, hum roz shaam ko milenge."

Naina knew she had five more days to spend with him here and then he would be off to his next destination for his matches. She would miss him terribly. They had just got together and he would be gone in the next five days.

They stayed in each other's arms for few more minutes, cherishing the moment. As Naina turned to leave, Sameer held her hand, "Naina... mujhe tumhare saath ek selfie leni hai?" She agreed instantly and he clicked few selfies on his mobile.

"Hum jab bhi milenge, saath mein photos click karenge. Jab bhi tumhari yaad aaye toh main yeh photos dekhkar khud ko samjha sakun ki tum mere saath ho hamesha, ki tum koi sapna nahi ho, tum meri haqiqat ho."

Naina's eyes misted yet again watching his love for her. Unable to stop herself, she tiptoed a little while he too leaned towards her and their lips locked. As they came up for air, Sameer whispered, "I Love You Naina... always and forever..." She smiled widely, "I Love You too Sameer... always and forever..."

"Ek minute ruko Naina... mujhe aur bhi kuch dena hai tumhe.", Saying that he rushed towards his bedroom yet again. He was back in a couple of minutes. Taking her hand in his, he gave her a bunch of keys, "Naina... yeh hamare ghar ki keys hai. Jab bhi meri bohot yaad aaye toh tum yahaan aa sakti ho."

Naina couldn't believe her luck. How could she find someone like him who loved her so selflessly? It was just their first day together and he had started fulfilling her wishes. Her eyes misted and she hugged him tightly. She whispered, "I Love You Sameer..." and he reciprocated, "I Love You too Naina..."

Sameer went to drop her home on his bike. Naina had wanted to take a cab, but he had insisted on dropping her citing that it was almost midnight and he wouldn't allow her to travel alone. As he stood his ground, she too gave up and settled behind him on his bike.

Naina didn't tell him her address as she was already aware that he knew everything about her. She clutched him tightly as he maneuvered his way towards her home. Sameer basked in her warmth as he drove.

Naina asked him to stop his bike a little away from her residential building which was at the corner of the lane and from there, she would walk. Sameer wanted to drop her at her building directly, her safety mattered to him too much. Albeit reluctantly, he agreed and stopped his bike as per her request.

It was already midnight, so there weren't more people around. As Naina descended from his bike, she bid him goodbye. Before Sameer could say something, she looked around and pecked his lips, bidding him goodbye.

Sameer was stunned with her little act. He saw her running towards her building. She looked ethereal in that Indian attire. She stopped right in front of her building entrance and turned to check if he was still there. She somehow knew that he would still be there waiting for her to enter. Finding him still leaning on his bike, Naina blew him a flying kiss and rushed inside.

Sameer sat on his bike and waited. His mobile pinged and a message appeared on WhatsApp, "Main ghar pohonch gayi hun, ab tum bhi jaao. Bohot late ho gaya hai. Thoda aaram kar lo, kal se bohot practice karni hai, tumhe sab matches jitni hai Captain..." He smiled reading her message and drove towards his penthouse.

Unknown to both, a car had been following them, since they had left his home. Someone was keeping an eye on their movements. The car followed Sameer to his residential building. As his bike entered the basement for parking, the car stopped at the entrance of his residential tower.

After few minutes, a person stepped out of that car and stood facing the tower. Few more minutes passed, but the person kept staring at the topmost floor. A sudden honk from nearby brought that person back to reality. Soon enough, that person settled back in the car and left from there.

Sameer and Naina were happy... very much happy... They had finally confessed their love to each other in person today. This marked the beginning of their relationship. The wait was finally over and they were together.

When Naina had reached home, her parents were awake and were waiting for her. She had bid them goodbye and left for her room to message Sameer. After freshening up and changing in her usual nightwear, she laid back on her bed happily. She still couldn't believe that she had confessed her love to Sameer and they were finally together. She had not expected all this to happen in such short span of time.

Naina still couldn't believe that Sameer had proposed her today. She touched the chain that Sameer had gifted her after the proposal. She was happy that her parents hadn't noticed it and she had rushed back to her room. But she knew that her parents were going to ask her few questions about her dinner. She had told them that she was going to have dinner with her colleagues. She felt bad to lie to them, but for now, she couldn't tell them the truth about her relationship with Sameer, till he would come to meet them.

Naina knew that she could meet Sameer for the following few days till he would go to the other destination for his next match. She was going to make this time memorable for them. But what was she supposed to tell her parents for the next few days. She had already lied today and she would've to lie to them for the next few days too. She had no other choice.

As she turned to switch off the lamp, her mobile pinged with a message, "Naina... Kal office jaldi aa jaana. Main practice mein jaane se pehle tumse kal subah office mein milne aaunga. See you soon. Love You... Goodnight... sweet dreams my love..."

Naina replied, "Ab so jaao... kal subah milenge... I Love You too... Goodnight... sweet dreams..." Soon both of them drifted to sleep with happy smiles and heart full of content and peace which was soon going to vanish from their lives.

Naina woke up early next morning. She was too desperate to meet Sameer again. Her mother was amused watching her. Naina was yet again dressed in an Indian attire. What surprised her parents was the tinkling sound of the anklets that she had been wearing since last night. They knew that their daughter wasn't a fan of such accessories. And now, witnessing all this with their own eyes was kind of a shock for them. What happened to their daughter suddenly?

When Naina settled beside her father at the dining table for breakfast, he asked, "Ummm... Naina... aaj bohot khush nazar aa rahi ho. Lagta hai kal raat colleagues ke saath dinner bohot accha hua tha."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Naina grew nervous. She had never lied to her parents, but now she had started lying, only for Sameer. She wanted to share what she felt for Sameer with them, but right now, she couldn't do it. She had just started to explore their relationship. Until Sameer came and met her parents, she couldn't disclose anything about him. So, she had no other choice but to lie.

"Haan... Papa... kal raat ka dinner bohot accha hua. Wohh hum sab aaj se audit mein busy ho jaayenge naa, isliye hum saath mein dinner ke liye baahar gaye the. Ummm... wohh office mein audit shuru ho raha hai aaj se, toh mujhe shaayad ghar aane mein der bhi ho jaayega. Main jab niklungi tab aapko call karungi. Meri chinta mat kijiyega aap dono.", Naina said it in one go without looking at her parents and concentrated on her meal.

Her mother asked, "Thik hai... Par dusre sab log bhi tere saath honge naa? Tu akeli toh nahi aayegi naa? Dekh... kitna bhi late ho jaaye, sab ke saath hi nikalna aur kisiko kehna ki tujhe yahaan ghar tak chod de."

Without pondering much over her own words, Naina replied, "Haan... aap fikar mat kijiye, Sameer mujhe ghar tak chod dega." As soon as she realized her folly, she bit her tongue. She had taken his name in front of her parents. Ohh God, what was wrong with her? Why couldn't she think twice before saying anything? She had to be cautious about disclosing her relationship with Sameer.

Unable to hold his curiosity, Anand asked, "Yeh Sameer kaun hai?" Naina fiddled with her spoon for a few seconds before replying, "Wohhh... wohh hamare CEO ka beta hai. Kal raat wohh bhi hamare saath tha, toh usne hi mujhe ghar tak choda tha." She had finally managed to answer his father.

Bela asked, "CEO ka beta... tujhe chodne ghar aaya tha? Bhagwaan jhooth naa bulaaye... Sunn rahe ho ji... CEO ka beta hamari beti ko ghar chodne aaya tha."

Anand smiled, "Toh iss mein itna chaunkne waali kya baat hai Bela?" Before he could say anything, Naina interrupted, "Mummy... wohh yahin paas mein rehta hai, isliye mujhe chodne aaya tha. Baaki sab ke ghar dusri taraf hai."

Bela shared a look with Anand and asked, "Ummm... Waise Naina... tujhe toh paayal pehanna pasand nahi hai, fir kal raat se tune pairon mein paayal kaise pehni?"

Naina choked while eating and her father thumped her back, "Aaram se khaao Naina..." Looking at her mother, she replied thoughtfully, "Wohh... kal hum sabko kuch naa kuch gifts mile the office se. Mujhe yeh paayal mili. Maine kabhi pehni nahi hai naa ab tak, toh socha iss baar pehen ke try lar leti hun." Another lie. How many more lies she would have to tell her parents, she didn't know.

Her parents didn't question more. They continued eating their meal with some usual banters while Naina felt bad for lying to her parents. She hoped that Sameer would come to meet them soon.

As Naina reached her office, it was eerily quiet. She looked around but there was no trace of Sameer. She settled in her cubicle and took a glance at her watch. She was very much early to office today. She thought of freshening up before Sameer could make his appearance. As soon as she got up from her seat, her mobile pinged with a message, "Naina... mere cabin aa jao. Main tumhara wait kar raha hun."

Naina rushed towards the cabin. The tinkling of the gifted anklets resonating in the quiet office. As she turned towards the corner, she saw Sameer leaning on the doorframe who was watching her with an admiring smile.

Naina stopped few feet away from him and before Sameer could make a move, she closed the distance between them and hugged him. She felt at home. She couldn't understand the connection she shared with him. They had just met him two times, yet she felt as if she knew him since ages.

Sameer found his solace in her arms. He was finally home. They had just been together last night, yet he was craving her presence. He wanted her by his side forever. He wanted to spend each second with her. He hadn't expected that a day would come when he would fall in love with someone so crazily that he couldn't even live without her for a second.

Sameer broke the hug halfheartedly and pulled her inside his cabin to have some privacy. As the door closed, he again pulled her in his arms, "I missed you so much Naina. Tum... tum itni late kyun aayi? Main kab se tumhara wait kar raha tha, pataa hai tumhe?"

Naina was happy hearing this, "I missed you too Sameer..." His hold on her loosened and he looked at her, "Toh tum late kyun aayi? Thoda jaldi nahi aa sakti thi kya? Pataa hai main aadhe ghante se tumhara wait kar raha hun?"

Naina chuckled, "Sameer... main already ek ghanta pehle aayi hun, isse jyada jaldi nahi aa sakti main. Ghar pe mummy-papa ko kya bolti main? Ek toh aise bhi unse jhooth bolna mujhe accha nahi lag raha."

Sameer cupped her face, "Naina... don't worry... bas kuch aur dinon ki baat hai. Fir main khud mere papa-mummy ke saath unse milne aaunga, tumhara haath maangne. Tab tak please manage kar lo Naina..."

Naina agreed and he made her sit on the couch, "Tumne naashta kiya? Mujhe toh bohot bhook lagi hai. Tumse milne ke chakkar mein maine kuch khaaya hi nahi hai." He opened the packet that he had ordered for them for breakfast.

"Maine ghar pe thoda khaaya tha, par ab yeh aloo parathe dekhkar mujhe bhi bhook lagi hai." Soon they sat together and devoured the meal heartily by feeding each other. Even if this all was new to them, none of them felt awkward or hesitated even a bit.

Soon their time was up and they decided to meet after office as last evening. Sameer's parents knew about their son's presence in office. He had already given them the good news about Naina's love confession too. They were content to see their one and only son happy in his love life and blessed him wholeheartedly.

This routine continued for the next few days. They spent time with each other and cherished it. Sameer continued with his practices while Naina concentrated on her work. She didn't want her work to be hampered. She got close to his parents too. They had invited her for lunch one day with Sameer and since then, they had grown closer.

It was time for his match. Sameer had asked Naina to accompany his parents to watch his match in the stadium. But she had refused citing that she didn't want to cause any hitches for him or her during the match. Sameer had told Naina about his coach and his warnings too.

Though Sameer wanted her to come, he didn't force her. He knew the reasons for her not attending his matches were valid and reasonable too. He vowed to himself that Naina would watch his final match for sure. At his final match, he would reveal her identity. But before that he would've to meet her parents.

Sameer's team won that match and it was time to go to another destination for the next match. Sameer and Naina didn't get to meet after the match as he and his team had to reach the other destination the very next day.

The time... the distance... nothing mattered to them. They continued calling each other several times in a day and night too. Sameer continued sending her gifts while she cherished each one of them. Her parents weren't blind. They could clearly see the change in her, but didn't question her. She seemed happy. They waited for her. They knew that their daughter will open up to them soon enough. With all the changes in her, they were happy watching her joyful mood.

Sameer and Naina were happy in their world. He had won the next few matches with his excellent performance which had pleased his parents and his coach. Reyansh was extremely happy watching his boss cum friend give such splendid performances in the matches. With each match, Sameer was improving his playing tactics. His jovial mood hadn't escaped the coach's eyes too and he was happy with his progress.

Naina too had been working hard to get the senior CA's position. Mr Naresh Sharma was observing all the candidates since the last few weeks and he had made his decision. He had informed the Maheshwari couple about his verdict about the best candidate who could replace him in their company. And the couple was happy with his decision. Soon Naina was elected amongst the other candidates and her training had started under the wings of the senior CA and the strong and powerful Maheshwari couple.

Naina and Sameer missed each other a lot as they didn't get time to meet personally. Despite the distance, they were connected to each other through their hearts. They just wanted to be together soon and live their life happily.

But who said that everything would happen as per their wish. Sameer and Naina were soon going to experience the same. Someone had been following them for the first week when Sameer and Naina got together and that person wasn't happy with their relationship.

The day Sameer was traveling to another city for his next match, he got a notification and soon innumerable notifications kept pinging on his mobile. Before he could even open any of the notification, Reyansh appeared next to him in a flash, "Sameer... bohot badi problem ho gayi."

The entire team in the bus went silent hearing it. Reyansh handed his phone over to Sameer to see what the fuss was all about.

As soon as Sameer went through the video and the news, his face turned red in anger. One of his teammates shrieked, "Sameer... yeh... yeh Soniya teri girlfriend hai?"

Sameer fisted his hand in anger. His expression wasn't lost on anyone. Who knew him very well were well versed with his changing moods. So, everyone in the bus knew that he was angry.

Sameer turned to look at all of them one by one while they waited for his next words, "Yeh Soniya meri girlfriend nahi hai... she is not the one whom I love with all my heart..."

Sameer seethed in anger while Reyansh was trying to control the situation. How dare she? How dare she announce herself as his girlfriend and lover? This time Soniya had crossed her limits and Sameer was in no mood to spare her anymore...

Soniya had started a bad game and Sameer was going to end it mercilessly...

How was the update?

What do you think, how will Naina react to this news?

Will she believe what Soniya said or will she trust Sameer?

Will update soon...

Till then, take care and stay safe...

With Lots of Love,

Daksha...❤️
