Y/N's P.O.V.

"Y/N," Namjoon called. He looked quite serious. "I consider you as my friend, and friends 'spill teas'. Am I correct?"

The mention of a slang phrase in the middle of his very formal sentence and tone in his voice made me chuckle. "Yeah, that's correct."

"I am willing to 'spill the tea'."

My eyebrows rose in amusement as I sat down on the couch with all of my attention on him. "Interesting. Any drama happened? Spill the tea, sis."

"I am not your 'sis'."

"Spill the tea already!" I said, impatiently.

He sat down. "It is not precisely drama, nonetheless it is something to tell a friend. I require your opinion." I nodded, still with my full attention at him. He took a deep breath before continuing. "I met a woman at work. She visits your market every day and asks me for help."

I frowned. So this is about a woman. Suddenly, the topic wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be. "How long has she been visiting?"

"From the time I started this job. However, we started speaking a few weeks ago. She is a very delightful woman." He looked away. "Also, I got her phone number yesterday." He smiled and looked at me to check my reaction. "Is that a good step? I am practicing my informality too to sound normal. Am I good enough? I believe she is the right woman to me. I finally found a woman!" He looked quite happy and I really didn't want to ruin his joy but I had to ask.

"Namjoon, does she know your real identity? Or at least your real name?" I asked, knowing quite well that the nameplate he has says 'Nathan'.

Namjoon looked away, sadly. "No," he mumbled. He looked at me with a hopeful look. "Although I could tell her! I'm sure she will not tell the castle, and even if she tells the royal family it is okay since I found her."

I looked at Namjoon with a sympathetic look. "Namjoon, it's not that easy. If she found you and turned you to the castle then I don't think she's good to trust. She might even just marry you for your money. You should be careful. It's risky to start dating someone when everyone is searching for you. You're lying to your girlfriend. That's not good."

"She is not my girlfriend. We are not dating," he stated. "Nevertheless, I like her." I felt my heart ache at that. Oh no, he'll get blinded by love and he'll get caught. This is not okay. "I will ask her out soon."

Memories of his previous attempt of hitting on women on the streets crossed my mind. "I think you should wait a little. It might be too early for that. Asking her out too early might scare her off, you know? Also, I think you should tell her the truth before you ask her out because you can't start dating while lying to each other. At the same time you can't really tell her the truth because she might snitch." I was clearly panicking and thinking out loud. I had no idea what to say and was just saying shit at this point.

Namjoon frowned. "What? You make no sense."

I groaned. "I don't know, okay? Fix it yourself. Isn't it enough to listen to you?" I say with an accidental rude tone.

Namjoon frowned even more. "Are you displeased with me?" His voice sounded soft and heartbreaking, like he was a child being accused of something he didn't do and treated unfairly.

My eyes softened. "No, no! I- just- I don't know!"

Namjoon looked at me for a moment, studying my behavior and facial expressions, before smirking teasingly. "Are you jealous?" he joked, but I didn't quite catch the joke. "Aaw, Y/N! Do not be jealous, my friend." He hugged me but I pushed him away and looked away. Namjoon looked at me confusingly. He didn't understand my behavior. "Y/N, are you feeling okay? I was jesting, as usual."

"Leave me alone." I, myself, didn't understand why I was acting like this. I just knew that I wasn't in the mood to joke.

"Are you upset because there is a chance I might get wedded soon? Do not worry! I will stay as your friend. I will not leave you." Namjoon looked at me while still trying to read my body language.

"Leave me alone," I repeated.

"No. What is wrong? You can talk with me. I am here for you. Tell me, Y/N. Spill the tea, sis."

"I'm not your sis!" I looked at him.

"Spill the tea already," he said, clearly imitating my previous sentences.

I looked away. "I don't know, Namjoon." His eyes stayed focused on me in silence. A short moment of silence, that felt long, passed before Namjoon broke the silence.

"Y/N, do you like me?" He sounded quite serious, but I know he was joking. He was quite good at acting but he did leave a slight jokeful tone in his voice.

"No!" I jokingly hit his hand as he laughed loudly. It couldn't but leave a smile on my face.

"You look very jealous of me," he joked and side-hugged me as he laughed.

"I'm not!" I denied as I laughed along with him.

"Whatever," he said and we continued laughing until our laughter slowly died down. He kept side-hugging me. "Do not worry," he suddenly said after a short moment of silence. "I feel it too. Here." He touched my stomach with his pointy finger. My eyes widened in shock. I absolutely did not expect him to say this now, or for this to be his answer to my question yesterday. "I suppose it is normal." He broke the hug, making me look at him.

"Hm, it maybe is." I looked away. "Do you... ummm... feel it with that woman? What's her name?"

"Oh, Trinity? If I feel it with her also?" I looked at him and nodded. He looked at me silently before laughing teasingly. "You are jealous!"

I looked away and rolled my eyes, but a small smile crept up my face. "No."

He placed his hand on my shoulder. "It is okay. You have every right to be jealous since you still are not my best friend." I looked at him in disbelief as he just grinned. "Daniel is my best friend."

I groaned in annoyance at the mention of that name. "Ugh, that bitch!"

"Yah! Do not insult my best friend!" He looked away. "Regardless, I would like you to meet trinity. I cannot make her meet my parents, therefore I would like her to meet you instead. You can be my parents in the meantime." He looked at me.

I frowned. "Namjoon, you're older than me."

"Love blinds people. You, and parents usually, are there to make sure that the person you are getting wedded to is a good person," Namjoon started. "Although I do not really love her. I am actually not aware of my attraction towards her. However, I suppose I like her. She is a great person in my eyes, therefore I really do want to get wedded to her. Nonetheless, I just earnestly wish I also loved her because marriage without love is not on my wishlist."

I nodded. "I understand."

"Apart from that, the color of my hair is fading. Would you mind color it again?" he asked. I checked his hair and he was right. His blonde hair was starting to show under the purple and his hair was getting long. He needed a new haircut and coloring.

"Okay, let's get you to the salon," I joked. "Go to the bathroom. I'll be right there with the equipment." He nodded and went to the bathroom as I got a pair of scissors and brown hair color. I cut him a casual short haircut then colored his hair.

I looked at his finished look. "Aaw, so cute." I pinched his cheek. He scrunched his face in pain.

"I am aware of my cuteness. It is not required for you to pinch my cheeks like that."

I let go of his cheek and chuckled. "You look absolutely gorgeous in brown!"

"Thank you, I appreciate that."

Knock knock!

We heard someone knock on the door. "I'll go open," I said and went to the front door. When I opened it I saw a strange but somehow familiar man.

"Where is Namjoon?" the man suddenly said.

I was taken back by his words. How does he know that Namjoon is here? "Excuse me? Namjoon? Who's Namjoon?"

"You are fully aware of my inquiry!" He sounded very formal, just like Namjoon. I got a feeling that he was from the castle. "Where is Namjoon?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about. Who's Namjoon?" I asked, acting dumb.

"Where is the noble prince Kim Namjoon? I am aware of his presence within these confines, so desist from feigning ignorance." His words were barely understandable, but from what I understood he was telling me to stop acting dumb because he knew Namjoon was in here.

"Who are you?" I asked. There was no point in acting dumb anymore, but I had to know who that was. If they're trying to take him I won't let them.

"I beg your pardon, but the matter at hand is not within your purview," he answered shamelessly. Is he telling me that it's none of my business?!

My eyebrows were raised in disbelief. "What the fuck. Okay, leave then. I won't let a stranger enter my house, especially if your identity is 'not within my purview'." I rolled my eyes.

"Daniel?" Namjoon said from behind me. Daniel?!!

"You're Daniel?!" I ask, shocked.

"That is indeed correct," he answered.

"You're the bitch that told Namjoon about my mafia identity!" I rolled my wrist, ready to punch him. "Oh, I didn't joke when I said I'll jump you when I see you!" With no hesitation, I punched Daniel right in the face.

"No! No! Y/N!" Namjoon yelled and ran towards us. I suddenly felt a pair of strong arms wrapping around my waist and pulling me back. It was Namjoon, obviously, and my back was completely pressed against his chest. His grip lifted me up a bit, making my feet slightly above the floor.

He caught me off guard. I was indeed shocked, but I didn't give up. I struggled in Namjoon's arms. "I need to throw hands! Let me go!" I kicked my feet and squirmed, but Namjoon was too strong for me to escape.

"No!" Namjoon said sternly. He walked away with me in his arms, taking me away from Daniel. He then put me down near the corner of the living room. "Stay here!" he ordered.

"No!" I tried walking away towards Daniel, but Namjoon pushed me to the wall.

"Y/N!" he said sternly, which sounded like he was scolding me. I looked up at him, finding him looking at me. He was close to me, making me nervous. His eyes were so pretty. He looked so cute, even though he was mad. I don't understand how someone can be so gorgeous. We held eye contact for who knows how long. It felt so magical. It felt so good. I don't know if he felt it too, but I was completely lost in the moment. Lost in his eyes.

"Excuse me, love birds, but I would appreciate a moment to speak with Namjoon in private, if you don't mind," Daniel said.

"We are not love birds!" both me and Namjoon said as we looked at Daniel.

Daniel looked at us silently for a moment. "Okay.. Namjoon, if you may spare a moment, I would like to speak with you privately."

Namjoon steps back from me and straightens himself. "Of course."

Daniel looks at me. "Leave us for a moment, please."

I roll my eyes. "Fine, whatever!" I turn around and walk to my room, knowing pretty well that I have microphones put all over the house and that I can overhear them pretty easily from my room.

I close my door and put my ear on it to eavesdrop on their conversion. "My prince, it is my duty to inform you that Wonyoung has relinquished her wait for you. She has chosen to unite with another prince in marriage," Daniel said. Wonyoung? Who's Wonyoung? I've heard her name before. Is it the woman he was supposed to marry?

"Thank god!" Namjoon exclaims. "She was a bitch-"

"Namjoon!" Daniel scolds, cutting Namjoon off. "As your bodyguard and best friend, I must remind you to maintain a decorous manner in your speech, for you are a prince."

"I apologize," Namjoon starts. "Y/N taught me to." I gasp silently. I never told him to swear! He doesn't even swear! What the fuck?! "It assists me to stay hidden in this village."

"Indeed, it seems that your assimilation into this environment is progressing well. Your speech and mannerisms have adapted to the customs of this land. It is good to observe you blending in seamlessly, my prince," Daniel said.

"Indeed," Namjoon starts. "How is the queen doing?"

"The queen expresses deep disappointment as she had hoped for an alliance with the Princess of Scotland. With Wonyoung's decision to step back, your mother is left saddened. Nevertheless, this offers you the opportunity to return to the castle," Daniel explains.

"I do not know how my mother does not see the bad in Wonyoung. The princess is arrogant, dramatic, selfish and much more. I cannot tell you everything she has done to me," Namjoon complains.

"I comprehend the situation, and with Wonyoung's departure, the path to the castle is open for your return," Daniel said. "Have you found a suitable woman to marry and fulfill the expectations of our noble lineage?" Daniel asked.

Namjoon stays silent for a moment, before speaking again. "I will tell you this, only because you are my best friend." Namjoon takes a deep breath. "I met this woman called Trinity. She does not know of my actual identity as a prince. Although, I have not told her that I want to get wedded to her. I do not even know if she amours me. We are currently only friends."

Daniel sighed. "Please pardon my bluntness, but this situation is concerning. Trinity may have feelings for you, but you cannot assume her intentions. It is crucial not to take her affection for granted, especially if you consider her only a friend. Furthermore, if she does have aspirations of marrying you, it may be solely because of your royal status and wealth, not understanding the true person you are. This is a delicate matter, and I advise you to tread carefully and honestly communicate with her about your feelings and position."

"I am aware. It is just.. difficult for me to do that," Namjoon said.

"Namjoon," Daniel started. "Have you perhaps developed feelings for Y/N?" Daniel's voice was a bit lower, probably not wanting me to hear. I still managed to hear him though.

"No!" Namjoon immediately exclaimed.

"Namjoon..." Daniel said again. A silent moment passed, before I heard a small whisper. I couldn't figure out what the words were or who said it, but I could hear that it was a whisper.

"Nevertheless, I do not know what to do. I cannot take Trinity for granted, and I am afraid to return to the castle. I have a feeling that Wonyoung is lying. She does that frequently."

"Why do you dislike Wonyoung so much?" Daniel asked.

"She is a 'pick me' woman, also toxic. She throws the blame on me and is an actual devil. She is a hypocrite! She acts innocent and great in front of my beloved parents, but is an absolute demon with me."

"I am sorry to hear that," Daniel said.

I noticed my parents car, knowing that they'll arrive soon and if they see Daniel they'll start a whole inquiry. I opened the door of my room. "Daniel it's time for you to leave."

"What?" Namjoon asked.

I looked at Namjoon. "It's time for Daniel to leave." I went up to Daniel and started pushing him out. I was kinda stressed as my parents were going to arrive in seconds. "Leave!"

Daniel stood firmly in his place. He was a buff bodyguard and would obviously not move by my push. "No!" he said.

I looked at Namjoon for help. Namjoon seemed lost, but he didn't question what I was doing. "Daniel, kindly leave. That is an order!"

Daniel finally gave up and sighed. "As you wish, my prince." Daniel turned around to leave, but right then the door opened and we were met with both of my parents. The three of us stared at the two of them. We just stared at them awkwardly. It was such an awkward moment.

After a long moment of silence, my mother finally spoke as she looked at me. "Who is this?"

I took a deep breath and stepped forward. "Mom, dad, meet Daniel, Namjoon's bodyguard and best friend."

Another long moment of silence passed as my parents just looked at Daniel and Daniel looked at them. Thankfully, Daniel decided to break the silence. "Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Daniel, and I am the prince's royal bodyguard. By the authority of the royal house, I am here to escort the prince back home."

"We won't let you," my dad said.

"You cannot stop me. I recommend you stand aside peacefully unless you wish to face the consequences," Daniel said.

"We can stop you," my father said, stepping closer to Daniel. "And we will."

"You will not," Daniel said, without moving from his spot. He didn't seem intimidated by my father. Not even the slightest.

"Namjoon, do you want to go back home?" I asked, getting the attention on me. The attention didn't stay on me for long, though. It quickly shifted towards Namjoon.

A moment of silence passed. Namjoon was taking his time to think about the answer to my question. He kept holding eye-contact with me as he thought. Namjoon looked so good in his new hair. The brown hair matched his gorgeous, siren, brown eyes that anyone could get lost in. I couldn't help but wonder if brown was his original hair color. He couldn't be blond, right? Brown matched his face features and colors much more. Moreover, none of his parents are blonds. I know that the king and queen are both dark-haired. Maybe Namjoon is adopted. Could he be?

"Yes, I miss my mother," Namjoon answered after a long moment of silence, cutting my thoughts. I felt a rush of disappointment. No, I wasn't disappointed in Namjoon. I was disappointed that he'll leave. I'm happy for him. I'm happy that he can leave and see his mother without Wonyoung annoying him, but I'm sad because I'll miss him. After all, he became a very close friend of mine. "Although, I would like to return to the castle unescorted. I would also like to bid Y/N and her family a goodbye. Therefore, I will be returning tomorrow or later. I appreciate you, Daniel, for this; however I will return by myself," Namjoon continued. I let out some air, sighing, as I realized that there is still time to hang out with Namjoon.

Daniel nodded. "Understood, Your Highness. Your wishes shall be honored. I await your arrival at the castle. Goodbye for now!" Then Daniel left, leaving me, my parents, and Namjoon alone in the house.

"We won't let you leave!" my mother said.

"Mom! He made a promise! We can't let him stay here like a prisoner! If he breaks his promise and does bring children, he'll face the consequences. If he doesn't, then he's fine. He's not a prisoner!" I said, trying to defend him. He missed his parents, and I understood that. He probably wanted to see them, so I was trying my best to help him see him without my parents' denial.

My parents looked at me for a moment, probably thinking about what I said. Namjoon looked at me with a thankful gaze. He sure was thankful for standing up for him. "Fine, but you better keep your promise, young prince, or else we will kill you!" my father said.

"That is understood, sir," Namjoon said politely. "I will leave tomorrow." My parents nodded. They didn't look like they were fully accepting his departure, but I had a point.

One more day.
