CHAPTER 2 – THE BOSS
"MIA, MAKE me coffee." Her boss commanded as he scans through the mountain of files laid on his table.
"Right away sir." She replied, bowing her head a bit and proceeded to the kitchen.
She took the coffee maker and put some coffee beans in the filter. And because almost all of the devices in the room of her boss are voice automated...
"Coffee start..." And the machine started making the coffee. It was created without any buttons. A voice command is the only thing needed for it to start. It is one of the very many patented inventions of Mateo's company. The DC group of companies.
She was waiting for the coffee while thinking about what happened yesterday with her boss.
SHE WOKE up alone inside the VIP room of the bar with pain searing on the thing between her legs. Mateo is really a gentleman and a monster in bed.
She searched for any sign of another person inside the room, but she found none. He must've left already.
She looked around for her phone to see if he sent her any messages. When she found it on the bedside table, she saw three messages from her boss.
From: My Boss
'Thanks for taking care of me last night.'
'I told Fernando to wait for you in the parking lot.'
'You can take the day off.'
'Thanks for taking care of me last night?'
Did he mean the part 1 or the part 2? Mia's face felt hot when she remembered what happened to them last night.
Was that really me? I even bossed him around for a bit. I must be out of my mind.
She bit her lower lip. Well, it looked like it wasn't much of a big deal. Perhaps not to him, anyway.
That thought pained her.
Of course it wasn't a big deal...It was just a one night stand to him. Now, I'm just one of the lucky girls who got a taste of the famous billionaire Mateo De la Cruz.
She sighed.
But that night will truly be one of her most treasured memories. Making love...wait...I meant having sex with the man I love.
*Ting*
SHE STOPPED reminiscing when she heard the coffee machine. That means the coffee's done.
She took the coffee machine and poured it in a mug.
She took a whiff of the coffee. It doesn't have the aroma like the coffees made in Café TEEWS but it is the coffee that Mateo is used to. TEEWS is a coffee shop she discovered a while ago and she fell in love with ambiance of the place, especially with the coffees they serve. She will sure come back there to try their famous newly concocted cappuccino.
After putting the coffee on a saucer, she went back to her boss's table and placed the coffee on his desk.
He took a sip of it while typing something with one hand in his laptop, then he placed the mug back and continued working.
"Is there anything else you want sir?"
"No thank you...That's all."
"Okay sir." She just said. He didn't even glance at her even for a second. Well, at least he said thanks.
She returned to her cubicle just outside her boss's office and started working.
Everything turned to normal with them after that night. It was like, nothing actually happened between them. Mateo's driver just fetched her and she reported the next morning. That's all. Just the same employer-employee relationship.
Guess she's lucky enough to have that opportunity. At least she's never going to die as a virgin. She chuckled to herself at the thought.
Though, she was still sad about the news about Mateo not going to have a child. That fact kept bugging her mind ever since she knew about that. She has already worked for him for almost three years now. She knows how much effort he put just to make their family's company grow even more. The news must've really hurt him.
DC GROUP of Companies. One of the richest companies in the world. They make different kind of inventions and receive tons of money if the patent is approved and many people use them. Just like the coffee maker. The company also own a lot of chain of hotels, airports and resorts all over the world.
So it's really disappointing to know that he couldn't hand the company down to someone who's his own blood. If he cannot produce any heir, there is a possibility that he might need to give up the company he's worked hard for to a relative.
Mia sighed again for the nth time today and just focused on her work.
IT WAS almost lunch and Mia is currently busy working on her computer when she heard a bloud tapping of heels on the floor approaching her.
"Is Mateo here?"
She raised her head to see who it is. It was a red haired tall lady wearing a sexy fitted tube red dress that ended just below her butt, holding an expensive looking black Prada handbag.
She looked really sophisticated. But seeing this kind of women wandering in front of her desk from time-to-time, is not really new to her.
"Uhm... Do you have an appointment miss?"
The lady raised an eyebrow on her. "Excuse me? I don't need any appointment...He knows me already..." The lady said almost scowling at her.
She exhaled some heavy air and took the telephone directly connected to her boss's office.
Thank goodness she's already used to girls hovering over her boss almost every week.
"Good morning sir, sorry to disturb you but a lady wants to see you right now..."
She heard him exhale exaggeratedly from the other line. "Give the line to her."
She obeyed him and gave the phone to lady in red.
She received it with her thumb and middle finger looking really disgusted.
It was her turn to raise an eyebrow. 'I don't have any kind of bacteria miss, excuse me...I'm 99.99% clean.' But she doesn't want any fuss so she returned to her work.
"Mateo, honey hi!"
She can't help but overhear their conversation since she's talking on the couch just in front of her cubicle.
"What?! But you told me yesterday to come over today!" she sounded almost hysterical.
The red haired lady suddenly stood up. "But Mateo baby!" She stumped her heels... She looked like a little girl having a tantrum.
She wanted to laugh but she stopped herself.
"Arghhh!!!" She shrieked and throws the phone on the couch, making the phone bounce a little, and took her leave angrily, stamping her heels on the floor, really pissed. Her poise earlier was completely gone.
When the lady in red is already out of sight...
"Pffft... Hahahahahahhaahhahahahaha!" Mia let out the laugh she's been holding in earlier. "Hahahahahahaha." She wiped her eyes as she laugh and slowly stopped when she felt her stomach starting to hurt. The expression on lady red's face was really funny.
"Ehem..."
Her eyes widen in shock and slowly turned to the person who faked a cough.
It was none other than her oh so handsome boss leaning gorgeously against the doors of his office.
"So you find that funny huh."
Mia gulped and smiled awkwardly to her boss who had a very...very serious look on his face.
"Hehe...hi sir." She awkwardly said.
Mateo's expression remained unchanged.
"Come with me." Then he went to his own office and Mia, without having any choices, followed through.
After closing the doors of his office, she was shocked when she turned around and found his face a few inches away from hers.
Her heart immediately pounded like crazy.
"S-sir...Uhmmm...your face."
"Yeah? What's wrong with my face?"
"Uh...I-It's...It's so...uhmmm..."
'Awkward...'
"Handsome, I know." He cockily said with a still stern expression.
She raised an eyebrow to him. But she quickly put it down.
"What did you call me here for sir?... Do you need anything?" She said in a whisper.
Is it just her or the atmosphere inside the office became hot all of a sudden?
"S-sir?" She stuttered. She was already getting dizzy. She can smell his minty and oh so very sexy breath...Just a few more and she'll faint.
"About that night," he started.
"That night?" she wants to play innocent. As much as possible, she wants to keep it to herself.
"Don't play guessing games with me Mia...I know you know what I mean."
She noticed that he had a hard time breathing properly.
"S-sir...about that night...c-could we just, you know, keep it to ourselves?" she pleaded.
But Mia was caught off guard and was startled when he caged her between his arms and the doors of his office.
"Are you seriously kidding with me Mia?...Don't you know how sexy you looked that night..." He said huskily. Then he slowly removed her glasses and stared into her brown eyes. "Ever since that night, all I could imagine is your face."
'Is he joking? Or is he drunk again?'
"Sir...I don't quite understand you..."
He smirked.
'Oh my gosh...That's so handsome.' She said to herself, squealing deep inside.
He stared deep into her eyes and she felt like he was trying to get through to her by doing that. He smirked handsomely and then said, "What I meant Mia...is this..."
He bent down and roughly crashed his lips to hers.
'Hmmm...I still cannot understand what he meant...But I'm going to enjoy this.'
