Eugene was staring intently at his rare club-horned grasshopper laying on its back in his glass jar when he heard a vehicle approaching in the distance.

The headlights flash on his face and the young beekeeper lowers his glass jar and turns his head to the light. He sees a large vehicle approaching, its white headlights almost blinding him.

"Eugene Ottinger. 2242 hours." he speaks hurriedly into his black covered phone, the little bug catching net in his hiker's bag protruding out and giving him a very comical look. "Potential suspect has arrived at location."

The young, tan, black curly haired, spectacle wearing boy sees very clearly a tall hooded figure approaching the cave with a flashlight, the bright white truck headlights giving the young boy a clear silhouette.

The boy remained silent, holding his phone to his slightly open mouth like a still image, as the figure approached the opening of the cave and began to light a small piece of white cloth...

The whole black scenery was made even more eery by the single source of blinding white light, but Eugene was more excited than scared. He was sure that he had gotten hold of a crucial part of the mystery!

The figure lets go of the flaming handkerchief...Eugene lifts his head slightly to get a better view of what was happening.

"Oh my God." the boy's voice tremors in fear...

A figure in a black hood steps in front of him, shining a flashlight in his face...! And the short boy squints his eyes.

The young boy widens his eyes again in shock, trying to get a better look at the figure in front of him. Eugene was terrified.

The figure lingers for a moment in front of him, as if assessing him before hurrying off into the thick black of the night.

In an instant, the whole cave explodes, the bright orange fire lighting up the night.

In a panic, Eugene hurriedly turns away from the explosion of fire and runs, his huge baggage jangling behind him.

After that giant explosion, the cave's flames became quite subdued, the fire only on the floor of the stone and on one small, bare tree in front of the cave.

Back at the great hall, Bianco was sitting on the grand mahogany chair just outside of the grand room, staring apathetically into the distance, looking very glum.

None of the bright shining lights or decorations could lift the gloomy aura surrounding the Black Siren King.

Saturday stalks out of the curtains of falling lights and approaches his adversary.

"Whoever invented leather dress shoes clearly had a side hustle as a torturer." the pale, brooding Black Devil snarks as he takes a seat next to Bianco, adjusting his shoes. Bianco gives him a dismissive glance, before turning his head away from Saturday and looking off towards the side once more.

"As my dear Father always says," Bianco starts as Saturday shakes his head slightly, making his soft, black curls flutter. "Fire tests gold, suffering tests brave men." The boys turn their heads to gaze at each other.

Bianco blinks slowly as he turns his head away from Saturday's scorching gaze.

"Speaking of suffering, where's your date?" Saturday asks sharply, still glaring down at the Black Siren King. "I didn't see you and Xaviera on the dance floor." he finishes observantly, before turning his head slightly away, adjusting his tuxedo tails, but the pale, brooding boy could still see the black boy from the side of his eye.

Bianco turns his head towards Saturday. "We had a little tiff." he replies honestly, there was no point in hiding how disappointed he was with the evening. "About you, actually." he adds.

Saturday lowers his pale eyelids, but still glances down at Bianco's clothes, not meeting his sky-blue eyes.

Bianco furrows his eyebrows ever-so-slightly as he shakes his head faintly, and looks away from Saturday. While he was leaning apathetically against the back of the large chair, Saturday's back was impeccably straight, not leaning on anything, alert per usual, his large pale hands one on top of the other on his knee, his legs crossed elegantly.

Bianco looks to the side. "You don't know what it's like." he mutters defeatedly.

Saturday turns around fully to look at his adversary. "Being handsome and popular?" he asks coldly and emotionlessly. No, he didn't know what it was like, and he'd prefer that it stayed that way. People were the source of all his discomfort, especially a certain petite, golden eyed girl.

Bianco frowns deeply as he slowly turns his face around to Saturday. "Never knowing people's true feelings." he says quietly and sincerely.

Saturday furrows his perfectly shaped eyebrows at Bianco. This was the first time the cocky Black Siren King had shown weakness.

"If someone likes me for me." Bianco continues softly as he looks directly into Saturday's soulful obsidian eyes. His gaze wasn't particularly sharp but it felt like those sky-blue spheres looked straight into his black soul for a second. But Saturday stood his ground.

Saturday looks down. "What about your amulet?" he asks with icy interest.

Bianco glances down at the gold bug with a small navy gem in its centre strung around his lean, black neck. "It's not foolproof." he explains with a mocking laugh, still furrowing his sleek black eyebrows. "It's a mild prophylactic, so to speak." he glances away for a moment before looking back into Saturday's sharp eyes.

Saturday looks away from his necklace as Bianco too, looks away from the tall, lean, pale boy in black, keeping his gaze straight ahead, not staring at anything in particular.

"That's why Xaviera broke up with me." Bianco confesses rawly, his eyes slightly glancing in Saturday's direction before looking forwards once more. "She could never fully trust me." he says softly, a hint of sadness in his tone.

Saturday's gaze was floating away, before Bianco's voice brought his eyes back to the Black Siren King. "The worst part is I could never trust her feelings either." he continues as he looks at Saturday sincerely. He kept his gaze on Saturday as he poured out his feelings. "I never knew if they were real or not." he made a slight movement with his eyebrows.

The boys' eyes pierced through each other. This was the first time that the two adversaries had ever genuinely talked.

Saturday's eyes moved away.

"You're lucky." Bianco frowns as he looks directly at Saturday, who looks back at him.

"Do tell." the Black Devil demands curtly.

Bianco's frown disappeared. "You don't care what people think of you." his voice started out strong and faded at the end.

There was a pause as Saturday considered this, his eyes didn't meet Bianco's who was glancing sideways at him.

"Honestly, I wish I cared a little more." the tall, pale, lean Black Devil confessed cooly, his eyelids lowered slightly.

He lifts his eyelids, meeting Bianco's frowning gaze once more.

"About Misaki- " Bianco started but was immediately cut off by Saturday.

"She's not getting married. She's got no place to wear a dress like that." the tall, lean, pale, brooding boy says coldly, though Bianco swore that he was only being overly sulky, a first for Saturday the siren King was sure.

"Oh look. Someone's jealous. Hope she didn't just leave you at the altar." the black boy teased relentlessly to an icy glare from Saturday who had gone quite a shade paler, if that was possible.

The moment over, the two boys look away from each other as Saturday gives a silent sigh.
