Chapter 238 Encounter again
It had been almost a week since Julian’s last visit to Greenlife Villa, and Natalie hadn’t seen him or received
any news from him.
As for whether Julian had received the invitation, Natalie didn’t know, and she didn’t really care.
If something comes too easily, it’s unlikely to be valued.
The same goes for authorizations and invitations.
She spent her days alone at home, flipping through the latest medical journals, sipping tea, and occasionally, when inspiration struck, conducting interesting experiments and writing about them herself. She enjoyed the
freedom and solitude.
Today, her plan was to buy a new car.
The previous one had been considered totaled after that chase, and she had no interest in repairing it. It
made more sense to simply buy a new one.
She had actually planned to buy a car the day after it was declared totaled, but then her uncle’s medical.
conference had come up suddenly, forcing her to postpone her car-buying plans.
“Nana, up so early today?” Tory sat at the table, eating breakfast, with a curious look on his face.
Tory had been extremely busy these days, coming and going all the time. If Natalie hadn’t woken up early specifically to buy a car, she might not have seen him at all.
“Are you going to the lab to see that kid, Ryan?” he asked, his voice full of interest.
Natalie shook her head. “Today, I’m going to buy a car, not go to the lab.”
Upon hearing this, a clear disappointment flashed across Tory’s face. “I thought you were going to see Ryan.”
Natalie chuckled. “You seem more eager to see Ryan than I am. He’s always in the lab, so if you want to find
him, you can go anytime.”
Tory glanced behind him, where the nanny was
usy preparing food. He lowered his voice and whispered, “I
miss the delicious dishes Ryan used to make.”
Natalie raised an eyebrow and smiled mischievously.
She leaned closer to Tory, following her uncle’s playful manner. “Oh, so you’re implying that you find the food
cooked by the nanny I hired not tasty?”
Just as the words left her mouth, the nanny happened to bring Natalie’s plate.
“Eek!” Tory looked up at the nanny, who had suddenly approached, feeling a bit guilty.

sure the nanny heard.
The nanny didn’t catch Natalie’s teasing, but she did hear Tory’s praise.

She squinted her eyes, with a smile on her face. “As long as Mr. Spears enjoys it!”
It was obvious that she was genuinely happy.
Tory also smiled, saying, “Having a nanny with such great skills is Nana’s lucky charm.”
Natalie shook her head as she watched them.
The nanny’s cooking skills were definitely not bad, but after tasting Ryan’s dishes, they did seem to pale in
comparison.
But if you looked around the entire LA, how many people had Ryan’s level of cooking skill?
After finishing her meal, Natalie headed to the car dealership.
This place specialized in selling various luxury cars and was off-limits to those without money or status.
Inside, there were rows upon rows of luxurious cars, with sleek bodies, stylish designs, and a dazzling array
of options, leaving one mesmerized,
As soon as she walked in, a salesperson immediately greeted her, saying, “Miss, this way, please.”
Natalie nodded.
“What type of car are you interested in today, Miss? I can help you with some recommendations,” the
salesperson asked in a polite tone.
Natalie waved her hand. “I’ll just look around on my own, no need to trouble you.”
However, these words seemed to take on a different meaning in the salesperson’s ears.
She couldn’t help but size up Natalie, who had a beautiful face, and could even be described as stunning.
Perhaps it was because the indoor temperature was high, she had taken off her white down jacket upon entering and was wearing a cream-colored cashmere dress underneath.
The dress was form-fitting with a small V-neck, and without the cover of the down jacket, it accentuated her slender waist, prominent curves, and exuded feminine charm.
Though this lady was beautiful, the salesperson couldn’t see the value of the clothes on her. She didn’t look like someone wearing extravagant designer brands at all.
Combined with Natalie’s earlier remark of “I’ll just look around on my own,” the salesperson had a pretty clear
Idea in her mind.
Most likely, she was just a broke loser who couldn’t afford to buy a car and was here to satisfy her eyes.
The salesperson Instantly lost interest in providing any further assistance.
Her gaze was so obvious that Natalie knew exactly what she was thinking.
But she didn’t care, let her think whatever she wanted.
It just meant that she could browse more freely.
Coincidentally, another customer arrived at the door.
The person was wearing a small western-style dress, a heavyweight silk fabric in a light yellow shade, with a
high neck, a cinched waist, and floor-length sleeves.
The salesperson took just one glance and knew that the dress belonged to the latest collection of an international luxury brand and had a hefty price tag.
Moreover, the woman was carrying a limited edition international designer handbag, exuding an aura of
wealth.
Two tall bodyguards dressed in black suits stood behind them. Anyone could tell that this person was a walking money tree.
Without a second thought, the salesperson left Natalie and headed straight for the woman at the door.
If she was too late, someone else would snatch this golden opportunity!
Lara walked into the store.
She came to buy the car she had been longing for.
Her father had promised her that if she delivered the documents to Tory, he would pay for the car she wanted.
Just today, her father had transferred the money into her account, and she couldn’t wait to buy the car.
“Miss, please come in,” the salesperson extended their arm, leading Lara inside.
“Do you have any preferred car models? I can help you with some recommendations.”
“No need,” Lara waved her hand. “I’ve already picked out the car.”
Her hand reached into her bag and pulled out a black card, handing it directly to the salesperson. “Here’s the card. I want the one over there.”
Lara raised her chin, looking at the car in the distance.
The salesperson followed her gaze and was first startled, then overjoyed. “Alright, please wait here. I’ll go process the paperwork for you right away.”
That car was worth a fortune!
“Thank you.”
The salesperson had a smile on their face, even walking with a hint of excitement.

who was sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed.
Natalie was no exception.
She glanced at the woman sitting in the middle. She looked somewhat familiar.
But it was just a sense of familiarity. Natalie couldn’t be bothered to think about who she might be. She
simply withdrew her gaze and lowered her head to study the cars.
Meanwhile, on the other side, when the woman saw Lara sitting on the sofa, her face lit up with excitement.
She picked up her pace and walked towards Lara.
However, perhaps due to her leg injury, she wasn’t walking fast and slowly made her way to the front of the
sofa.
“Miss… Miss Turner?”
Lara looked up at the voice and, upon recognizing the person, a hint of surprise flashed across her face.
“Niki?”
Niki nodded eagerly. “Miss Turner, do you still remember me?”
When they were in the car before, Lara was too frightened to pay much attention to Niki.
Looking at Miss Turner today, she was dressed exceptionally well. Also, for entering this kind of occasion,
she must be a person of high status.
Since her backup plan fell through, maybe she could make a move on Miss Turner?
Both of them were wealthy individuals who would definitely be able to help each other in the future.
Lara nodded repeatedly, “How could I forget? Is your injury getting better?”
Niki grinned and said, with a gentle smile, I’m much better now. Look, I can even walk on the ground.”
“Julian let me use the Spears family’s medicine!”
“The Spears family’s medicine?” Lara suddenly realized, “No wonder you recovered so quickly. The Spears family’s medicine is indeed effective.”
“When I went to deliver something to Mr. Spears, he also gave me a few bottles of medicine.”
