Santana's POV
It was the day of the competition, I woke up early. I hadn't slept well last night I guess you could say I was nervous. I look over and see my beautiful girlfriend and my little sister still sleeping. I quietly get up going into the bathroom getting in the shower. I hear the bathroom door open so I pop my head out and see Quinn.
Quinn: good morning babe
Santana: good morning baby, how did you sleep
Quinn: it was okay how did you sleep
Santana: not the greatest but I still got some sleep
Quinn: well after we win this competition then we can relax as long as we want
Santana: very true, umm do you want to join me
Quinn: what about your sister
Santana: she will be fine
Before I knew it Quinn was in the shower with me, I turn around to face her and smile
Santana: hi baby
Quinn: hi babe
Quinn leaned in and kissed me and I kissed her back this went on for a few minutes then I pulled back.
Santana: we better get out and ready before Brynn wakes up
Quinn: that's true
Both Quinn and I got out of the shower and got dressed. I went over to to the bed and woke Brynn up
Santana: Brynn it's time to get up
Brynn: no thank you
Santana: you will miss nationals if you don't get up
Brynn: fine I'm up
Brynn went and got dressed once we were all ready we went down to the lobby and met up with everyone else
Will: okay guys we will head to the bus make sure you have everything you need please
We all got on the bus, after 30 minutes we got to the theatre and went inside, all the girls went to one room and the boys to another. We got into our costumes then went out to wait for our turn to perform. I look over and see Brynn squeezing her hands together so I walk over to her
Santana: hey bug what's the matter
Brynn: i'm nervous
Santana: your going to do great I promise
Brynn: I haven't sang in front of this many people before
Quinn: when you on stage don't look at anyone in the audience look above them
Blaine: or if you want you find something to focus on while your singing, plus I'll be standing next to you when you have that solo
Santana: you can do this Brynn I promise
Will: okay kids time to go, remember every single one of you are amazing
I took Brynn's hand and we walked to our places the first song went great then it was time for the solo Brynn would be doing, following the choreography we learned Blaine walked over to Brynn handing her the guitar, he then went to the piano sitting down Finn went over to the drums while Sam grabbed the other guitar. Quinn, Brittany, Tina and I went over standing on the side. Brynn, Blaine, Finn and Sam started playing "loser like me" Brynn then started to sing and man she had a powerful voice, while the song was going on we all joined in singing and dancing. as the second song finished the whole audiance stood up and started clapping and cheering really loud. Brynn ran off stage taking her and Sam's guitars with her. We started our final song Born this way and Brynn came back joining us. At the end once again everyone was clapping and cheering, Blaine took Brynn's hand and pulled her in front of all of us and the audiance went crazy clapping and cheering. I watched my sister taking it all in she then turned around running to me and hugging me. I picked her up and spun her around. Soon the other 6 glee clubs along with all the coaches and the announcer joined us on stage. Brynn held tight to my hand and Quinn held my other.
Announcer: In my hand I have the 3 winners...... Third place New York singers
the group took their trophy and went back
Announcer: in second place, Lima, Ohio Vocal adrinline
They looked at us smiling taking their trophy held it up and went back
Announcer: and now first place goes to.... Lima, Ohio New Directions!!
Mr. Shue got the trophy we all started cheering and crying. I picked Brynn up hugging her. We all left the stage going into the dressing rooms, Mr shue came in holding the trophy
Mr. Shue: guys I am so proud of you. You all nailed it and did amazing things out there. Brynn oh my god that was the best I have ever seen you do
Finn: this win is because of you Brynn, the audiance loved you
I looked at Brynn and smiled she had a huge smile on her face
Mr. Shue: you all go get changed we are going to go eat and celebrate
*4 days later*
Brynn's POV
we have been back from New York for a few days now, walking into the school was the best feeling ever everyone clapped and cheered for us. Mr. Figgins held an assimbaly for us too. But now that nationals are over its time to focus on the play that will be happening at the end of the month. Rachel hates me more then ever now but Santana and Quinn says that she's finally found someone thats better then her, I helped us win nationals by having the solo and I am Anne Frank. Santana says that I need to enjoy this so that's exactly what I'm going to do.
Artie: okay everyone lets start at the beginning of the show with Brynn and Puck and Rachel
Rachel (Miep): Are you all right Mr. Frank
Puck (Otto): Yes, Miep, yes
Rachel (Miep): Everyone in the office has gone home... It's after six. Don't stay up here Mr. Frank. What's the use of torturing yourself like this
Puck (Otto) I've come to say good-bye... I'm leaving here Miep
Rachel (Miep) What do you mean? Where are you going? Where?
Puck (Otto) I don't know yet, I haven't decided
Rachel (Miep): Mr. Frank, you can't leave here! This is your home!Amsterdam is your home. Your business is here waiting for you. You're needed here.... Now that the war is over there are things that...
Puck (Otto): I can't stay in Amsterdam Miep. It has too many memories for me. Everywhere there's something... the house we lived in.. the school... that street organ playing out there... I'm not the person you used to know Miep. I'm a bitter old man. Forgive me. I shouldn't speak to you like this... after all that you did for us... the suffering
Rachel (Miep) No. No. it wasn't suffering you can't say we suffered
Puck (Otto): I know what you went through you and Mr. Kraler. I'll remember it as long as I live. Come, Miep
Rachel (Miep): Mr. Frank, did you see? There are some of your papers here. We found them in a heap of rubbish on the floor after... after you left
Puck (Otto): Burn them
Rachel (Miep) But Mr. Frank, there are letter, notes...
Puck (Otto): Burn them. All of them
Rachel (Miep): Burn this?
Puck (Otto) Anne's diary. (he reads it) Monday, the sixth of July, 1942, (looks up) 1942, is it possible Miep?... Only three years ago? Brynn (Anne) and Puck (Otto): My father started a business, importing spice and herbs. Things went well for us until 1940. Then the war came, and the Dutch capitulation, followed by the arrival of the Germans. Then things got very bad for the Jews
Brynn (Anne): You could not do this and you could not do that. They forced Father out of his business. We had to wear yellow stars.I had to run in my bike. I couldn't go to a Dutch school anymore, I couldn't go to the movies, or rid in an automobile or even on a streetcar, and a million other things. But some how we children still managed to have fun. Yesterday Father told me we were going into hiding. Where, he wouldn't say. At five o'clock this morning Mother woke me and told me to hurry and get dressed. I was to put on as many clothes as I could. It would look too suspicious if we walked along carrying a suitcase. it wasn't until we were on our way that I learned where we were going. Our hiding place was to be upstairs in the building where Father used to have his business. Three other people were coming in with us.. The Van Danns and their son Peter .... Father knew the Van Daans but we had never met them....
