Upon returning home, Tom collapsed onto the creaking bed. Pictures of what had happened in the fields kept flashing through my head. Fear of the unknown and sadness corroded the soul more and more, when answered the questions that gnawed at the young man over and over again led to a fork.
"I'm too young for her..?! Or was I too blinded by her beauty..?!"
Thoughts became more confused and noisy, as if dancing an ugly waltz inside the skull. It hurt badly in chest. Thoma cringed, trying to hold back the negativity inside him. There was so much more wanted to know, so much to ask, from which her tender appearance painfully attracted.
The first obstacles appeared on the way.

The gate creaked. Lumin cautiously walked into the courtyard. The mind gradually cleared up, and the frustrated expression of the young man's face was still drawn before his eyes. The tired sigh became a kind of heaviness, like Diluc sitting on the threshold.
— "Is something waiting for me..?" — Ragnvindr flashed through mind at the sight of her confused husband.
The man darkened more as soon as he noticed the blonde. Exhaling another portion of tobacco smoke, Ragnvindr beckoned Lumin to him, and she approached cautiously and sat down modestly beside. A cool breeze carried the ashes away until they dared to disturb the night's peace.
— Well, where were you? — The serious tone in Diluc's voice was quite intimidating. The devouring gaze is directed exactly at the guilty face of the wife.
— Decided to clear my head after a couple of missed glasses of wine. Wandered around the neighborhood and got lost. Well, some guy passed by, so he saw me off, — Lies fell from her lips without hesitation. Let fear and guilt torment from the inside, you can't go astray. Her hands trembled treacherously, causing the blonde to helplessly cling to man so that the deception would not be exposed.
— What are you, really? — Diluc clarified with some surprise, putting out his cigarette. Blonde just nodded in response and smiled lightly. The short conversation ended there.
But the feeling of an obvious lie still did not leave the man. Ragnvindr looked incredulously at the young neighbor's rickety house until the dozing Lumin's head sank onto his shoulder. He didn't want to disturb her again. Diluc cautiously got up from the threshold, in an attempt to hold his wife. The man then took her in his arms and entered the house.
The first suspicions can give a crack in the relationship.

In her amber eyes, the sun's rays shimmered beautifully, gleaming like precious stones. A blush once again adorned her snow-white cheeks. Her gentle voice resounded with a booming echo that hovered among the slender birches. Lightness and genuine fun enveloped her soul, tired of the city.
Another couple of days have passed, leaving doubts and sorrows behind. All the same, Alberich's advice paid off. The longer Thoma spent time with the beautiful metropolitan lady, the more he learned about her. But because of this, Ragnvindr attracted more to herselve. It was becoming increasingly difficult to resist the call own heart and my feelings. Everything in chest tightened with pain when it was time to say goodbye. But it can still be been through.
Even now, walking with Lumin in a birch grove, feelings and all the warmth for her quickly made their way out. She is so close that you can touch her graceful arms and fragile shoulders again. Capture her every movement with a fascinated gaze. Laugh with her at stupid jokes. This will be remembered for a long time.
— Ha-ha! catch up! — A sudden nudge hit Thoma back to reality. With a sly smile on her face, Ragnvindr had already disappeared behind the birch. The young man remained confused for a few seconds. Looking around, he tried to find the blonde with his eyes.
— "She ran away? But why? It was still good.. Or is it just for fun?" — The blond thought to himself as he considered what had happened.
Suppressed laughter echoed in the silence that reigned all around. Excitement swept over guy head at the same moment. Thoma cheerfully ran up to the birches, looked around, but no one was there. Sadness and childish surprise were immediately read on his face. So the young man moved from one tree to another, and Lumin ran farther and farther away. Only the hem of her white dress flickered and betrayed the target.
And so, when the blond quietly approached another slender birch, his hands rested on the striped trunk, while the young man himself tried to see what was on the other side. Rough tree bark scratched thin skin unpleasantly, but this is a trifle.
Looking behind the trunk, Thoma was met by a loud female scream. The young man did not have time to understand anything. Only his face contorted in emotion of shock and fear. In a moment, Ragnwindr was bursting into laughter. Everyone's body was trembling. But managed to recover pretty quickly.
Now two adults were trying to fish each other out of hiding. Contagious laughter resounded around him. Breath hitched. The heart skipped beats faster. Hands accidentally touched her lovely fragile shoulders.
Lumin herself looked out from behind the trunk for a moment, but quickly returned to her place, afraid of being caught. Thoma did not lose sight of Ragnvindr. But he couldn't catch her either. Because of what, the excitement flared up in the heart more strongly.
— Back to the capital today? — Suddenly asked the young man, bypassing the birch. Now he finally met the blonde face to face. But she was bewildered by the question.
— Ah .. Yes .. Today we are already leaving home, but what? — Barely choosing words, Lumin answered, starting to finger the hem of her dress. A certain fear froze somewhere inside.
— I just need to say something... — Thoma began hesitantly and looked down at the floor. The lump in my throat prevented me from breathing properly. His fingers got tangled in his hair. And she's still waiting. Her amber eyes sparkle with interest. But the words stuck in throat. — N-no.. I'm afraid it will be too unexpected.. Let me keep it a secret for now, but I'll tell you when the time comes, — After a moment of silence, the young man added, shifting ridiculously from one foot to the other. His green eyes didn't dare to look up at the blonde. And his cheeks were getting pinker and pinker.
— Then I will definitely wait! — Ragnvindr answered with some cunning in her voice.
— Ah.. Good.. Thank you.. — The green-eyed said in relief. — Well.. Now it's your turn to catch up..! — Thoma gently touched Lumine's shoulder and ran forward. A sudden wave of amusement swept over head.
— It's not fair! — Displeasedly, the blonde threw after the young man, in an attempt to keep up with him.His tall silhouette flickered between the snow-white birch trunks. The ringing laughter continued to spread. The hem of the dress was tangled in the legs. The look was looking for the guy. Excitement and fun excited from the inside. His head was spinning from too much oxygen. Ridiculous catch-ups brought Lumin back to childhood. Memories of my brother and old friends made her sad. But it's no worse now than it was then.
But the stern figure of Ragnvindr appeared on the horizon. The wind played in his red hair. But heavy eyes were riveted to wife and her new friend. A certain anger and misunderstanding ignited a flame in the heart. Diluc confidently began to approach until he was noticed.
— Seems my has time come. He's already here, — Lumin said as she finally stopped at Thoma's side. But sadness lingered in her voice. It's weird and it hurts so much.
— Ahem.. The car is ready, we need to go, — Ragnvindr said calmly, coming closer to his wife. Although his face did not express emotions, but this heavy look was ready to turn the young man inside out. It caused a cold chill to run through his skin. The blonde just nodded her head in understanding.
— Let me walk you...! And then somehow it turns out wrong..! — Suddenly suggested Thoma, just not to be alone. Even though the fear was piercing through, the reaction was much softer than expected. Nobody was against it.
They left the birch grove under the enthusiastic stories of Ragnvindr about the local landscapes. Diluc listened to her attentively and tried to maintain a dialogue. Even so, the atmosphere was tense.
The trip to parents brought many surprises.

Anguish, sadness and heartache arranged their modest feast in a young and pure soul. Thoma himself became his opposite. His green eyes went completely blank. All the sparks of life and joy left him. All thoughts were occupied only by her. The only good thing is that the instructions of the local residents helped to drive away the negative for a while.

Her only words that stuck in memory from that day. Tenderness and sadness merged into one in just one phrase. The sparkle of her amber eyes is impossible to forget. Yes, and Ragnvindr herself was so alluring, fragile.. The desire to protect her was stronger than anyone. But after she left to protect and please there was no one. That's why it's bad at heart.
But most of all, Alberich was worried. It was the first time he had seen his friend in such a state. The young man began to visit more often and talk about insignificant things from his life, if only blonde would not be left alone with himself.
And even now, having arranged gatherings near the river bank, Kaya looked at his friend with concern during his story. But he just nodded knowingly and looked dreamily into the distance.

— Kaya, you study in the Moscow, don't you? — Thoma interrupted Alberich with his sudden question on the forehead. There was a look of disbelief on his face.
— Ah.. Yes, I am studying.. Why are you suddenly asking..? — The young man turned his mental question into a conversation. Fear and anxiety only became more stifling. All carefree joy was finally shattered.
— Then can you tell me how to get there? — An equally shocking question escaped the blond's lips. Silence descended on the little bridge again. Only the sound of the waves helped to stay in reality.
Lumin is so far away that you can't reach her...
