"COME IN GIRLS LETS GO." Miss Abby says yelling for us to come into studio A
We all rush in the room and sit down, miss Abby immediately asks "Vivi-Anne where are your dance clothes?" We all turn to look at vivi "It's in the car." She reply's "you need to be dressed and ready to dance when you walk in this building." Miss Abby tells vivi, she just nods her head.
"I want to recap a bit about the competition." "There are somethings that went on that maybe you don't even know about." Miss Abby tells us, I turn to Maddie with a confused look "your mom was upset about the costumes." Miss Abby says while pointing to nia, "your mom was upset about the costumes before you went on stage." Miss Abby says and She points to Chloe "but that can not happen again." Miss Abby adds and Chloe nods. "Maya you won your solo for the second time, your now on a winning streak." Miss Abby says and I smile
"Let's talk about what where gonna do this weekend." "Where going to New Jersey and we are going to do a acrobatic,gymnastic routine." Miss Abby says
I smile while looking at Brooke,Brooke never seems happy she always wants to hang around with her friends but I don't blame her we dance 7 days a week!
Miss Abby reveals the pyramid

"Overall I evaluated all of your performances so maya you won the competition and the title, I'm going to leave you right where you where, yes?" Miss Abby says and I nod my head
"Brooke I expect you to help the younger students and I except you to know the choreography first and be able to help everybody else." Abby tells brooke
"Vivianne since your new and don't know all our terminology I'm gonna work privately with you this week and you are doing a solo." Miss Abby tells vivi
"We also have a duet with Maya and Maddie." Miss Abby says
"Yay!" My mom shouts, Me and Maddie hug each other and my mom claps
"You two have a jazz duet called double trouble I thought it would be a bit different for you both." Miss Abby says
"Okay moms dismissed girls spread out!" Miss Abby says and the moms leave
*GROUP REHEARSAL*
"The group dance is called ups and downs,Brooke you will be featured in this dance"
We start going over the dance and Miss Abby starts giving us corrections, "maya make sure you point your feet on those!" "Nia use your face!"
Suddenly Kelly comes in "may I speak to you?" She says to miss Abby and they go speak in the other room
"What do you think that was about?" I ask maddie "i don't know." She reply's
*DAY 2*
*DUET REHEARSAL*
We started day 2 off with mine and maddies duet, it's a jazz dance and it's so fun, we never usually do this style of dance but I love when we do
We start learning our duet and it has tones of new combos in it! "Really make sure to hit the beats and the moves!".
After we preform the dance full out miss Abby tells us to come over, "okay girls i need you both to win and beat every other duets in the competition! When you did a duet last year it won the whole thing so you better do it again." Me and Maddie both nod
*DAY 3*
*GROUP REHEARSAL*
Miss Abby is putting in tones new choreography for the group and Brooke and Paige aren't even here yet and I think Miss abbys a bit moody today so she's gonna flip!
"foot,Maya,foot!" Miss abby says to me.
"Okay go back there." Miss Abby says to Nia and then Brooke and Paige walk in.
"You two are late." Miss Abby says to the girls
"You two go over there and warm up and look at what we've done so far because I did a whole bunch." Miss Abby says
We go over the dance so then Brooke and Paige pick it up.
*DUET REHEARSAL*
We only have 30 minutes to run the duet before we do it onstage tomorrow so we need to clean this and perfect it asap!
"Maddie get that leap higher!" Miss Abby says. "Okay girls I think the duets good but, you need to work on getting that leap high and you need to work on not bobbling on that turn." Miss Abby says and me and Maddie both nod "okay good your both dismissed." Miss Abby says and gives both me and Maddie high fives and when we walk out studio A we give each other high fives.
*AT HOME*
We arrive back at home and all me and Maddie are talking about is the duet we are both so excited!
"Hey mom! Wanna see our duet I think we've nailed it!" Maddie says to mom "no honey I want to wait to see it full out for the competition sorry!" Mom reply's "oh okay. What about you kenz?" Maddie says "I'll watch it." Mackenzie says and then we preform the duet.
"Do you like it?" Maddie asks "yeah! My duet was better though." Mackenzie says sarcastically, "oh sure whatever." Maddie says rolling her eyes and I laugh.
"Okay girls you all wanna head up for bed and get a good nights sleep for competition?" Mom says and we all nod, I get changed into my pyjamas and brush my teeth, we all then head off to bed.
*COMPETITION DAY*
Mom wakes us all up at 5:30 and competition starts at 8:40.
By the time we finish getting ready and packed we all head to the studio by 6:20 and get on the bus.
I sit next to maddie on the bus and we go over our duet then watch pretty little liars
"BUS DRIVER!" Miss Abby screams.
"Oh god it's already starting and we have t even left the studio." I say laughing and so does Maddie.
"If you want to go right, we're gonna take straight and hit the parkway." Miss Abby yells at the bus driver again.
I roll my eyes and Maddie laughs
An hour later we arrive at the competition and we don't preform for like 2 hours but vivi-Anne has her solo.
"Maya come her I need to do your makeup." My mom says and I go over to her, my duets after solos but we still have two hours till me and Maddie go on
A few minutes go by and two women come into the dressing room I'm guessing they work at the competition.
"Hi guys,hi ladies,hi Melissa." One of the women said "hi!" Mom replied "um, I'm going to be backstage with you guys. I just want to go over a few things because we have some songs with titles missing." The women adds.
I turn to Paige furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.
" I have my pumps first and that vivi-Anne right?" The women asks
"No it's not my pumps it's bumblebee." Miss Abby reply's sounding confused.
"Bumblebee?" The women repeats.
"What's...what? What's this?" Miss Abby says as takes the cd
"That's what I'm confused about.. we need to..okay?" Mom says
I widen my eyes and smirk to look at Paige and she's doing the exact same.
"Cathy?" Miss Abby says
"Yes?" Cathy reply's
"What's with this rocket music?" Miss Abby asks
"Um..vivi was uncomfortable with the solo we worked on because she had lack of rehearsal time and so we're going to go ahead and do a piece she already knows." Cathy says
I turn to Paige again trying to laugh.
Why would you change you music and dance? That's just begging to get on abbys bad side?
"I'm just gonna change this to an independent dance." Miss Abby says to the women
"Your doing what? Your gonna changing it to an independent?" Cathy says sounding surprised.
"Yes." Miss Abby says
"She's not going under your name?" Cathy asks
"I didn't do this number!" Miss Abby reply's
"But she's still going to be representing you." Cathy says
"Not with a number I didn't do and a costume I didn't design." Miss Abby says
"Okay, can I see you outside please?" Cathy asks and they both go out into the hallway
"Maya come here I need to do your hair." My mom says and she puts my hair into a french twist and puts a little hot pink head piece into my hair.
"Okay quickly you and Madison go get changed." Mom says and me and Maddie go behind the curtain
I like my costume this week, I think it's really different to what I have been doing recently.
We all go backstage to watch vivis dance, she's a cute little dancer but I don't think she's experienced to dance with us yet.
*MINI SOLO AWARDS*
"In 7th place is vivi-Anne with this little girl now!" The announcer calls. I clap for vivi and she goes up to get her award.
"Who choreographed your dance?" The announcer asks.
"Cathy Jean Nesbit-stein." Vivi-Anne says
"And what studio do you represent?" The announcer asks
"Candy apples dance centre." Vivi Anne reply's
My mouth flings open and I stare and Paige.
Miss Abby ain't gonna be happy.
We all go back into the dressing room and Cathy is packing her stuff away.
"Alright guys were gonna head off." Cathy says
"What you leaving early?" Miss Abby asks
"Yeah. It's a 6 hour drive." Cathy says
"But we all came an hour early to watch vivi-Anne." Miss Abby says sounding annoyed
"Yeah but I have things to do." Cathy says and then she leaves.
"Okay Maya and Maddie go over your duet the rest off you work on the group." Miss Abby says
Miss Abby makes me and Maddie go over our duet. "get your leg high on relevee!" Miss Abby says.
"Okay girls, your both gonna go out there and be amazing. Your gonna beat all other duets and be the highest scoring duet of the day okay?" Miss Abby says and me and Maddie both nod. "Okay let's go." Miss Abby says and hugs us both.
Me maddie,Paige and Chloe are backstage waiting for me and Maddie to go on.
"Remember to point your feet,use your face,excel your turns and just be amazing okay?" Maddie says and hugs me and I kiss her on the cheek "you better of not got lipstick on my cheek." She says and I laugh "you should be good you can't see anything." I say. Chloe and Paige hugs us both.
"Welcome to the stage act number 38 double trouble." Me and Maddie strut onstage and start performing.
I make sure my feet are pointed and my faces are sassy.
I strut off stage right and Maddie struts offstage left. When I finally get backstage Paige jumps on me and hugs me. "that was so good!" Paige says "you think?" I say "of course." Paige says while handing me water "thanks!" I say taking a sip.
I meet Maddie in the hallway backstage and hug her "we did so good!" I say "I know!" Maddie reply's.
We all go back in the dressing room because me and Maddie need to get ready.
"Maya come her quickly I need to do your hair!" Mom says. Miss Abby comes in "woo! Girls." Miss Abby says "I think the duet was amazing!" Miss Abby says and I smile.
My mom puts my hair into a donut bun and she helps me put eyelashes on. I get my costume on and it's really pretty!
After getting ready we all go backstage.
"Welcome to the stage ups and downs." The announcer calls.
We all go into our first positions and Brooke starts the dance with a back hand spring.
I try to do the best I can as I'm not so good at acro, I'm very flexible I'm just not good at gymnastics.
We go offstage and have a group hug.
"I think we did good." Maddie says and I nod.
"Kenz you kept up with the big girls!" I say high fiving her.
*DUET AWARDS*
I'm sitting in between Brooke and Maddie.
"Okay now moving on to mini duos and trios." The announcer says I grab onto Brooke and maddies hand. "In first place overall duos/trios is double trouble maya and Maddie." The announcer calls, I smile at Maddie and we go get our award. I hug Maddie then we go back down to the stage.
*GROUP AWARDS*
"In first place...Ups and downs!" The announcer calls and we all cheer, we all go get the award and I hold chloes hand. "Who choreographed your dance?" The announcer asks
"Miss Abby."Chloe says
"What studio do you represent?" The announcer asks
"Abby lee dance company." Chloe says.
"Miss Abby you all have great dancers up here, are you all really best friends?" The announcer asks again
"Of course." Chloe says sounding very sassy and I start laughing.
After awards we all run back to the dressing room.
"Woo!" Miss Abby yells and we all hug her.
"Okay, congratulations girls congratulations you two." Miss Abby says pointing to me and maddie.
I hug my mom and then we get back on the bus to go back home.
This week was good!
