بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ

Starting with the name of Allah Almighty, He Who Acts with extreme kindness

May Peace and Blessings of Allah Almighty be upon our beloved prophets, their noble companions and all the true believers in this world or the other.

It was a hot evening, the warm air floating around the city, making people drench in sweats, yet still they continued onto their lives, busy in their chores. The busy roads was a proof of that, and in such a busy road, a girl ran her abaya clinging to her, not inappropriately, because of the sweat drenching from her body.
Yet still she continued to run, occasionally calling someone, and then yelling out in frustration, for after each unanswered call, her pace increased, with the stress lines on her forehead.
Finally, after crossing that road, she reached a street before she ran towards a house, a blue building with a beautiful texture and glowing aura unlike its inmates who were sitting with anxious faces as the girl entered the house.
"Where is she?!", Maryam, that girl panted, her breath coming out in pants, her forehead drenching with sweat.
"In her room", her brother replied, with an anxious voice, "she has locked it and hasn't come out of it, no matter how much we tried".
Maryam's expressions turned more gloomy, as she heard it and then ran upwards, to the room of her best friend who she knew was still going through very difficult times.
She knocked multiple times, yelling at her to open the door, going as far in her frustration to kick the door yet no answer came from another side.
She knew that her friend's brother's room's balcony was attached through her room, so she went through her friend's Brother's room, reaching to her friend's room, she had just opened the glass door of her friend's room, when she turned frozen as she looked at the inside of the room or what was happening inside it.
Her friend, Hunain, was tying the rope to her room's fan, as she stood on the stool. It took more than few seconds for Maryam to regain focus, and when she did, she ran to her friend who still hadn't seen her, and threw away the rope and made her step down from the stool.
When she did, after a lot more of argument and denying, Maryam made her sit on the bed with very much difficulty.
"What do you think you were doing??!", Maryam yelled, her frustration and exhaustion taking a toll on her.
"Leave me alone! Let me do it! Let me end this pain once and for all. Leave me!", Hunain screamed as she tried to push away her friend.
"Calm down, Hunain! Do you think this will end the pain. Do you even know the punishment of suicide in Islam?!"
At this, it was as if something broke in her as Hunain cried like a child, "What do I do? Huh?", her tears were of harsh pain, "I am sick, my kidney is damaged and my...my",she sobbed, "husband left me and I hear every night my parents' sobs because of me.", her voice had a pain that could make even the most insensitive person flinch, "I die everyday seeing them, my family in misery because of me. I die everyday from the pain and sickness, so why don't I face it at once and be free".
Tears were trailing down her cheeks, "It has gotten to the point where I think I am literally like an unwanted burden on all the people around me".
"Shut up!", her friend yelled, "now don't you dare say a word more. Don't you say you are unwanted. We love you. We love all of you, without any holding back. You know what you can do, you can do dua."
Hunain kept listening to her friend with tears still flowing down her cheeks, Maryam wiped her tears and said, "You know I read in a book once, a girl asking a sheikh what dua can do. And you know what the sheikh said?"
"The sheikh said, that the dua not only make the future problems away, but it also makes the problems you have gone through, lighter. He said dua go from down, and problems go from up, and dua always fights until the problem goes away, you know what to summarise it, dua is the strongest weapon of a momin. Because in it, you ask the help of Allah Almighty, in whose Hands everything is. He Is The True King, and when you ask from Him, and have Tawaqqul on Him, you don't lose hope or anything else, in fact you see miracles happening in your life, blessings coming from where you not even expected. So do dua, with your heart and have Tawaqqul on Him. "
She had her own tears falling from her eyes," I know it's difficult, too difficult, you just want to drown in your sadness than fight.. Because the sadness deprives you of all the energy you have. But then again,
بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ
لَا تَحۡزَنۡ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ مَعَنَا ۚ
"Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us."
(سورة التوبة ٤٠)
And then hunain finally smiled, seeing the ray of hope and peace, and then Maryam's expressions went hard, "And you know that the suicide is no joke, you don't own this life, if I tell you know that to stop your heart from beating for a second, can you do it?"
Hunain shook her head.
"Or if I cut your hand, can you command your hand to heal it back?"
Hunain again shook her head.
"Or if I tell you to command your nerve to change the direction of your blood flow for even a second?"
Hunain sagged her shoulders, and shook her head.
"And you know why?", Maryam continued, "Becuase this body doesn't belong to you, you don't have any major control in its functions, this is an Amanah given to you by your Master, and you have to be answerable to Him about it One day. You know that right?"
Hunain had no words, the guilt of her actions now coming to her as the words of Maryam brought back the conscience she ignored.
And it was rather with anger, as Maryam said," Then who gave you the right to deprive this Amanah of life? Did you not think about what's the punishment of suicide is in Islam?"
Hunain jerked her head forward towards her, there is? She has been a born muslim raised in a Muslim household, but there was not a single one to tell her about it, and what if she had done it? What if Maryam had not stopped her?
" What is it? ", she asked in a whisper, it made Maryam's expressions soft, and she grabbed her hands, as if to convince herself that her friend was there, she was safe. She saved her, though her wild beating heart payed no head to her failed attempts of calming it.
" It is a Hadith in Musnad Ahmed,
۔ عَنْ اَبِیْ ھُرَیْرَۃَ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم : ((مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَہُ بِحَدِیْدَۃٍ فَحَدِیْدَتُہُ بِیَدِہِیَجَأُ بِہَا فِیْ بَطْنِہِ فِیْ نَارِ جَہَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِیْہَا اَبَدًا، وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَہُ بِسَمٍّ فَسَمُّہُ بِیَدِہِیَتَحَسَّاہُ فِیْ نَارِ جَہَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِیْہَا أَبَدًا، وَمَنْ تَرَدّٰی مِنْ جَبَلٍ فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَہُ فَہُوَ یَتَرَدّٰی فِیْ نَارِ جَہَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِیْہَا أَبَدًا۔))
". On the authority of Sayyidina Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with her, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever commits suicide with an iron, that iron will be in his hand, and he will always have it on his stomach in the Fire of Hell. will continue to kill, whoever commits suicide by poison, then his poison will be in his hand and he will drink it in the fire of hell forever and ever, and whoever commits suicide by falling from a mountain, that hell will be his. Will always fall from the mountain in the fire of forever."

Status : صحيح)
And Mariyum continued,
" And in another Hadith,
وَعَنْہُ اَیُضًا عَنِ النَّبِیِّ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم : ((الَّذِیْیَطعَنُ نَفْسَہُ إِنَّمَا یَطْعَنُہَا فِیْ النَّارِ وَالَّذِیْیَتَقَحَّمُ فِیْہَایَتَقَحَّمُ فِیْ النَّارِ وَالَّذِیْیَخْنُقُ نَفْسَہُ یَخْنُقُہَا فِی النَّارِ۔)) (مسند احمد: ۹۶۱۶)
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Abu Huraira that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: He who kills himself with a spear will continue to be speared in Hellfire. He will continue to enter the Fire and he who chokes his own neck will continue to choke it in Hellfire"

Hadith no. 6471)
And in another
۔ ( عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاکِ الْأَنْصَارِیِّ أَنَّ النَّبِیَّ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم قَالَ: ((مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَہُ بِشَیْئٍ عَذَّبَہُ اللّٰہِ بِہِ فِیْ نَارِ جَہَنَّمَ۔)
. On the authority of Sayyidna Thabit bin Dahhak Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever commits suicide with that thing, Allah will punish him with that thing in the fire of Hell.*

Hadith no. 6472)
To this Hunain looked at her terrified, her whole body shivered just by imagining it, she was going to do it, she was going to make herself the receiver of that punishment, what was she going to do?!
She hugged Maryam tightly, and her sobs of pain and tears of gratitude to Allah Almighty and Maryam for saving her.
She was glad that she was saved, because after its punishment was still making her whole being shiver.
"Alhamdullilah", she whispered in gratitude and promised to never lose hope again in Allah's Help and Blessings.
