You got ready to go, as you fixed your hair and got your things all ready. Your outfit was very fitting your style. After a few moments you came out of your bedroom looking as good as new, you just took a shower as your hair was tied up. You start coming down the stairs to see Dan Heng texting someone, probably March.
"I'm ready.. " You told Dan Heng, as Dan Heng could only stare at you from head to toe. "Hmm.. Alright then." He said smiling a bit, but you could see a tint of blush on his cheeks. You only giggled softly walking outside with him, as you locked your door.
"Are we going to walk?" You asked staring at him, tilting your head. He on chuckled, "I guess... Or do you want me to drive?" He asked staring at you with warm eyes. "Perhaps we could walk if it's just near our school."
"Alright, let's go." Dan Heng mumbled, as he took your hand gently. "Do.. You want to hold hands like before?..." He asked, as your face reddens from his sudden touch, his hand felt warm, so you clearly enjoyed holding hands with him this way. Of course, you couldn't say no to him.
"U-uh.. Yes.. Of course.. " You responded to him, with a small smile as he gently smiled back, quite surprised you wanted too. "Oh? Okay then." Dan Heng said with pure happiness in his voice, as you could tell he was happy from you had said.
The both of you walked and, it was pretty close to your house and school! It was just a 5 minute walk before reaching the small and comfy cafe. You and Dan Heng slowly entered inside and looked around, it had pretty decorations and lots of plants and flowers.
Your eyes sparkled once you saw how detailed the tables and chairs was, they had designs that were carved to flowers, especially the tables. It looked comfy around here, kind of a good spot for a date you must say. Dan Heng chuckled seeing your reaction, as he led you to March's table.
"O-oh hi March!" You waved, quickly letting go of Dan Heng's hand. March only smiled back, and smirked right after. "I saw thaaat!!" She said, with a big smirk oh her face. "Saw what..?" You asked, trying to act all confused. "You guys were holding hands! I knew it! Y'all are dating right?!" She asked excitedly standing up looking at you with so much determination.
"H-huh? We aren't dating.. That was just uhm.." You tried looking for an excuse when Dan Heng wraps and arm around you. "March, just because we make physical touch with one another, doesn't mean we are dating. I guess this is just a friends thing, that we do regularly."
Dan Heng mumbled looking down thinking for a bit. You couldn't believe that he just.. Held you like that, goosbumps appeared all over your body from his sudden grasp. You got tingly feelings all over when he did that. But he immediately let go, before March could take this any further more.
"Okay yeah, but are you sure about.. 'Friends'?" March asked giggling a bit before sitting back down. "Fine I won't tease you about it, just come sit down first!" She ordered the both of you as you sat down across from each other.
March only laughed. "Guys order whatever you want, I already ordered mine!" March said handing you both the menus. "Oh.. Alright." You muttered back, scanning through the menu.
After ordering your drinks, and food, you talked for a few minutes before March stood up and checked her phone. "Oh no! Sorry guys, but I need to get going now!" She said groaning a bit. "Wait what? We just ordered.. And your already going?" Dan Heng asked, quite annoyed.
"Yes! This is an emergency." March said looking at you giving you a quick wink wink, oh crap she's setting us up! You couldn't say anything, as she immediately left before you had a chance to confront her.
Dan Heng sighed out of annoyance but changed his mood when it came to you, he only looked at you for a while with soft eyes,his eyes sparkling as he looked away trying to make sure you didn't catch him staring.
"Ahem..." You cleared your throat, blushing from the thought you two were alone together. March's plan successfully worked, all she wanted to do was invite you both to a cafe, and leave right after, setting you guys up for a date. Those thoughts start filling your mind as you got so embarrassed falling for something like that.
Dan Heng seemed to know what you were thinking, as you both just sat there staring at each other and looking away, not being able to strike a conversation knowing this was a date March planned.
The waitress finally broke the silence, by walking up to the both of you and handing your orders. "Here are your orders, maam and sir. Enjoy~ Also sir, you really do have a handsome face, I can't help but stare.." She mumbled, laughing a bit, as Dan Heng only got surprised by her sudden sayings, as his face flushed red from her compliment.
"Oh? Thank you.. I guess." Dan Heng mumbled back still staring at the lady before she bowed a bit before walking away, she took a quick look at Dan Heng, staring at him for a while before giggling, as she completely blushed and started walking away.
You couldn't help but feel a bit jealous from the way the lady was staring at him, she looked practically same age as you were, as your heart kind of ached from what you've just witnessed. But your eyes widened when Dan Heng asked if you were alright, as you have been spacing out for a while.
"Sorry.. I-Its nothing" You replied back, shaking your head slowly, as you took a sip of your drink, still quite jealous, as you stared at the lady angrily for a while as you let out a huge sigh. Why were you feeling this way? You must be feelig jealous but you didn't want to admit it.
You gulped down your drink, as you stared at Dan Heng for a while. But Dan Heng knew something was up. "Y/N. Please tell me. I know something is wrong.." He said with concern in his voice as he reached for hour hand, caressing it slowly as you only huffed.
"I-I'm alright Dan Heng.. You do not need to worry." You said to him, avoiding his eye contact, squeezing his hand a little.
"Come on Y/N. You do know you can tell me anything right?" He asked you again, quite serious this time.. But you only nod your head. "I know, but Im telling you.. There's nothing wrong I'm just thinking about a lot of.. Things.." You mumbled your excuse, but it seemed like Dan Heng didn't believe a single thing you said.
He only chuckled right after, letting go of your hand placing his hand on his cheek. "I know your lying. I know why your feeling upset in the first place." He said as your eyes widened, don't tell me he knows that I was.. "I knew you were jealous. I can clearly see your reactions and the way you angrily stare at the lady who complimented me.." He said, giggling a little, as your face immediately flushes red.
"You're so adorable.." He mumbles staring at you with a smirk. "So, you were jealous? Hmm?" He asked, as you shook your head. "N-no! Definitely not..! I- Just.." You told him trying to look for an excuse. "No need for excuses." He says laughing a bit. "I don't think it's weird, it's quite cute actually." He said to you, as you only sat there speechless as you couldn't say anything back to him.
"I-I.. How did you know?!" You asked him, crossing your arms as he only chuckled. "Body language. Do you know that?" He asked taking small sips of his drink, waiting for your reply. You cursed at yourself for making it believable.
"Ugh fine.. You caught me.." You mumbled shyly, huffing and looking away. "It's normal to be jealous.. I-I don't know why you think it's cute. I bet you'd be jealous too, hmph." You said huffing, looking away from him, as he couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh? Of course I'd be." He replied back, when your eyes shot wide. "Why would you be jealous?!" You asked him, staring right at him when he only leaned in closer and smiled. "Don't ask me that question.. I believe that question is for you. Why would you be jealous if some girl talks to me huh?" He asked innocently staring into your wide eyes.
"I-I u-umm..." Damn, you couldn't reply a single thing to his question. It left you speechless as you might sound stupid from whatever your going to say next. You only sighed heavily looking away blushing, as you sat back down crossing your arms.
"Fine.. You win.." You said not daring to look at him. "Why didn't you answer me? Is it because you don't know? Or you just don't want to answer it?" Dan Heng asked, still interested into this topic, and you knew you really couldn't change the topic now. You only chewed in your bottom lip.
Why was I jealous? It's not like... I like him or anything! He's right, why am I feeling jealous when I don't even know the reason.. You thought to yourself, kind of weirded out. You let out a huge sigh before turning to face him, with a proper answer.
"I actually don't know. Maybe it's because.. I don't want you leaving me since I'm so attached to my friends, my best friends, or whatever.. Its just seeing my close friends with other people kind of hurts my heart a bit, since I.. Don't want to lose any of them, or I don't want any of them to just leave me here for another person that is way better than me... So.. I think.. T-that's my reason. I hope you understood it.."
You said firmly to him, without taking a single breath. He frowned a bit, quite hurt from what you said. He felt your feeling a lot of times. "I agree with you Y/N. I always feel that way.." He says thinking for a bit.
"Look, you can trust me.. I won't ever leave you since I know now, your feelings and everything about you. It made me feel so close to you, I don't ever want to leave someone as good as you ok? Please don't think that way too much about me."
He told you caressing your cheek, as your eyes only blinked twice not knowing what to say, but you only smiled back at him. "Alright.. I believe you, I trust you so much anyway." You said giggling a bit before he puts a strand of your hair behind your ear, making your eyes wide open as your blush reddens. "Look at you, so much more beautiful than any other woman I've seen.. "
"D-dan!-" But before you could say anything, the lady from before has just approached the two of you, as Dan Heng quickly pulled his hand back. "Yes miss? What would you want?" He asked, the lady again as she only fiddled with her fingers. "S-sorry for interrupting your sir, but.." She mumbled shyly, looking away handing him a paper and pen. "Are you.. Perhaps single..? If you are, I would love to have your.. Phone number."
Your eyes we're flaming red, as you were extremely jealous now. But you trusted Dan Heng, he'd probably reject her.. Right? And this is where things went to the unexpected.
"I'm sorry lady, but I am taken.. " He says, apologizing after. The lady was stunned as her mouth was wide open, as she felt her heart break into half. "B-but sir I-I!" She tried talking to him but Dan Heng only sighed, in annoyance. "If you do not have anything else to ask, you may leave." He says quite done with her, but she wasn't done just yet..
"Ugh! Who even is your girlfriend?! I need to speak to her imme-" But before the lady could respond, Dan Heng let out a sharp breath, getting ready for what he's going to say. "Uh, I'm sitting right in front of her. Can't you see lady?" He asked raising his eyebrow waiting for the lady's reply.
He stared at you giving a wink, telling you to play along, but your heart was beating too quickly as your jaw dropped from what he had just said. You couldn't focus as your head starts to get fuzzy, as you start to get dizzy, feeling yourself about to explode. But you calmed yourself down, wanting to help Dan Heng away from this rat. 😝
"Y-yes.. As his.. Girlfriend, I am quite surprised by your sudden actions, towards your customers. You do know that right? Maybe you shouldn't even work here anymore if the person already is feeling a bit uncomfortable from your.. Questions. Since these are types of personal questions that couldn't be asked.. Here. A-aren't you supposed to act professional towards people like him?.. Maybe you shouldn't ask such things if you want to keep your job.." You said expressing your feelings, like you were in a rollercoaster.
Dan Heng only get shocked by your reply but he smiled at you, before turning back to the lady who was just really really pissed off, by you and him.
"How dare you said that to me?!" She screamed crossing her arms, very angry at you as you could see the flames in her eyes. "Don't you-!" But before she could reply, someone came up, stopping the fight immediately, holding onto the lady's hands, as she was about to hit you.
"Dont you dare hit her like that.." You heard a familiar voice, as you jumped up to look at the man. He was.. a familiar white haired man, you believed you have met him before.. He looked majestic for sure, could this be.....
"Huh? S-sir?! I-I! I didn't mean to hit her! She---"
"Silence. I deeply regret hiring you. I can't believe you'd treat customers like this.. " He strictly told the woman right in front of him, in a deep voice. You could clearly hear the pure seriousness in his voice which made you jolt a bit. "We need to talk in private, please excuse us." The man said smiling at the both of you walking and dragging the lady with him, as you could see the tears fill up her eyes.
But still, why was this man so familiar to you? You recognized his voice and looks but didn't seem to remember a lot about him. But then, it popped up in your head. 𝐽𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑌𝑢𝑎𝑛?!..
