In the universe, there are endless stars that are yet to be discovered...

Endless worlds that are yet to be explored...

Full of stories that are yet to be told...

A young man walked through a forest that resembles the shimmering hue of precious stones of a cave. His lustrous snowy-white hair glew a soft teal underneath the light, unkempt and messy. His cautious steps caused a slight crunched on the fallen leaves underneat his worned and tattered brown boots. His light gray coat flutters slightly as the breeze pass through the evening light casted by the lustering moon above.

His golden eyes scanned his surroundings. Seemingly trying to spot a specific item from the environment around him.

'I know its around here somewhere...'

The evernight bloom. A rare flower with only four petals altogether, shimmering and growing only during the night as its name has described.

And by his timing and proper observations of the cycles, it was said to be fully bloomed only by tonight. Now at present.

The white-haired young man treaded through the slippery slopes, almost falling himself. And through the endless glowing trees underneath the moonlight.

Securing his bag, he then stumbles upon his destination. A small clearing of a field filled with the very flower he was looking for. A smile formed on his lips at the marvelous sight of the flowers that resembles the endless sea of stars in the sky.

"Ack-!"

But just as he was about to approach, a small yelp was then heard from him as he slipped into a puddle.

"Ugh...What the..."

He winced, feeling a tingle of pain from his bottom, before feeling a slight damp on his hands. He brought his arm to his field of vision, wanting to inspect the substance that he fell on.

Blood...

'What...? Who...who does this belong to...?' His hands trembled as his thoughts grew. His instincts had caused him to be on guard, searching through his surroundings for any signs of a possible threat. However, he was only met with silence with an occationally sounds of the forest creatures that rests nearby.

He glanced at the puddle and the now dried blood on his hand. His golden hues narrowed slightly as he observes, the blood was fresh, which means that whoever it belong to, was not that further away from him.

His logic told him to ignore the dread he was feeling, that it could had the possibility of that the blood could had belong to a wild animal that fought with a predator. But he chose to hide away such thoughts, since he knew the harst truth.

It was the blood of a person.

'They...must be injured...'

As soon as he had gathered his thoughts and resolution, He quickly stood up and looked at his surroundings, purposely putting his gathering for the evernight bloom on hold.

His sharp gaze soon notice the barely visible trail of blood, and the disturbance on the ground showing the recent foot prints of what seems to be a pair of boots and the paws of a huge beast.

'There...!'

His eyes landed on a small amount of blood that was even splashed on the four-petaled flowers.

'Seeing how the stain is still damp, that person may have not gone too far.'

The young man started sprinting, his excellent vision quickly following the trail, even slightly flinching when a branch scratched his cheek.

Eventually, he soon came across to a lycanthrope like beast. His eyes widened as he slightly gagged at the brutal scene. The corpse was slashed open from the stomach up to the neck, its left arm was severed along with its foot.

Seeing that the blood was still flowing down from wounds, he deducted that the beast breathe its last not long ago.

He took a step backwards, glancing at his surroundings before following another trail. Abandoning the beast's corpse, he resume his search for the person who had caused it's death.

But luck may have been on his side as the said person was a yards away from him.

Leaning on one of the jewel trees was a young man around his age, perhaps even a few years older. With a mop of brown hair, darkened and damp due to blood, his black cloak was tattered and ripped, seemingly as if he was nearly mauled by the beast. Considering the unconcious male's wounds were still fresh and the beast corpse being a few yards away, Such a ferocious encounter must have happened a few minutes ago.

"Oh, dear stars..." The white-haired male muttered in disbelief, seeing how fatal the injuries were. If not treated at once, he could die. He immediately removed his coat revealing his navy blue vest over his long sleeved white button up shirt, before putting pressure on to the wounds in hope of stopping the bleeding.

The unconcious male groaned in pain, in which he took in as a sign to hurry.

Without even showing any signs of struggling, he lifted the wounded man before making his way back to the cottage he was currently occupying. He must treat him right away.

After all, that was, he is... A healer...

~~~~~
The young man lets out a groan as he slowly opened his eyes, his crimson-red eyes meet a blurry view of what's before him. But as soon as he regained consciousness, his pointy ears twitched as He was then on high alert when he noticed his surroundings.
It was a small well-maintained bedroom.
A desk was located on the side of the bed he was laying on, and various plants, both dry and fresh, were kept in jars and organized in accordance on a massive shelf in the surrounding corner. The contents of the open book on the desk next to him caught his crimson eyes as he cast a suspicious glance in its direction.
The page shows explicitly the research about a four petaled flower with a color of unblemished purity and transparent stem, the Evernight bloom, its effects and drawbacks, and how to prepare various medicines with it.
He then observed that his upper top was folded on the chair, and dried blood covered the cloth, and he couldn't help but look at where his injuries were.
He has fresh bandages neatly wrapped tightly over his exposed head and well toned upper torso. Given that they were able to stabilize his condition, whoever discovered him must have had a strong first-aid background.  Nevertheless, from what he could recall. Except for the animals found in the dazzling forest, there were no habitations on this planet.
Suddenly his eyes narrowed as he twist his head to hear approaching footsteps, his long pointed ears again, twitching at the sound. Who is it? It is most likely the person that took care of him for a bit. But just in case it isn't, it's better to still be on guard. He still doesn't know if this stranger that helped heal him could be trusted. His glaring gaze heightens when he sees a mess of white hair entering. A young man?
"...A-Ah! You're awake, are your injury-" The white-haired male stops his stammering when he sees the hostility and distrust in the daunting red eyes of the person occupying his bed.
The injured male now turned to where his gaze landed, the white-haired male followed down to see that the crimson eyes are gazing at the tray of medicine his holding. He flinched when the eyes of bleeding red glowered at him suspiciously.
Despite the older being injured and in bed, it's almost amazing how the atmosphere around them makes the white-haired boy feels like there are blades ready to attack him any second, ready to attack him with the same shade of red as the brunette's eyes. He feels a cold sweat running down the back of his neck just the thought of it.
"Who...-" The white-haired man flinches at the sudden stern voice, "-...are you...?" The young boy's eyes shake in fear at his tone, it doesn't even sound like a question, it's more so like a demand. As he doesn't want to take any chances until he is satisfied that the environment he is in is secure and less suspicious, hostility is still on high alert.
The young man takes a visible gulp. He reminded himself that this was the same person who took down the beast while injured. And he can do it again, if he ever made a slight mistake.
"I-...my name is Caspian, I-" Caspian stuttered as he introduce himself, before he then walks over to his desk and placed the tray of medicine. He takes a breath and turned towards the brunette, "You see, I found you out there in the forest...injured. I'm assuming that you got attacked by one of the monsters lurking around, yes..?"
The Injured man's eyes widen a bit at this "You...you're the one that patched me up...?" His irises went normal before quirking a brow towards Caspian. He moves a bit before flinching as a sudden strike of pain hits him. He looks up at the young man and observes his appearance.
Caspian has crystally white shinning hair with teal hues due to the light emitting from the window are all tangled and soft in every place. His skin was light, almost looking ghostly pale. His cheek even had a small patch of bandage. He was wearing a long sleeved shirt yet Matthew could clearly see bandages covering his wrists. Was he injured himself? Deciding against pondering about it too much. Despite his age, Caspian is a rather tall one but is not as tall as him. However, given how lanky he was, it seemed like his physique would horrify any bodybuilder.
After all, it has horrified himself...
Noticing his crimson eyes observing his appearance, Caspian fidgets at this as he waves both hands towards him timidly "Oh! Please don't misunderstand, I'm not planning on harming you at all!"
Not that he was capable of harming someone who seems to be a skilled warrior, but that was the least of his worries. Matthew is taller and muscular than he ever was, looking as if he can take down a person even with his injuries.
As he says that, he starts showing his hands both back and front and even showing the clothes he wearing is simple and harmless to not hide anything by tugging both his sleeves and pant legs, even emptying any pockets to show nothing. Proving he is innocent and means no harm towards him.
But the older one doesn't say anything, as his gaze is now locked on Caspian's eyes. The patterns of a certain reptile, the lights emitting from the golden shines of yellow on his shimmering eyes.
Is he perhaps...a hybrid..?
'There's no doubt about it..' The brunette thought. He can see it all, his eyes show Caspian's true intentions. He shows his innocence and just wants to help heal him better. Otherwise, there is no point in him bringing him here instead of just leaving him to die in this godforsaken place of a forest the moment he saw him unconscious.
As he concluded this, he looks away for a bit as his messy hair cover his eyes. "Matthew..." He mutters quietly.
"...I'm sorry...? Matthew...?" Caspian ask, with a tilt of his head to make sure he heard it properly from the older brunette.
"Matthew...is my name.." He says as he now looks back toward Caspian's direction. Caspian's eyes widen when the once glaring gaze of hostility now disperses with now a soft one filled with gratitude and warmth, a small smile appearing on Matthew's face. "Thank you...I would have died if you hadn't saved me.."
At the sudden thanks from the brunette, Caspian's golden eyes widen. He sighs in relief as his anxiety calms down as the atmosphere around them does the same.
'He seems...rather nice..?'
As Caspian placed the tray onto his desk, Matthew spoke up.
"Although, may I ask... What were you doing in that forest...?" Matthew couldn't help but ask. It may seem like a harmless question, but his instincts told him otherwise. He just had to know as he was told before his departure that the planet he was currently on has no residence whatsoever.
But seeing Caspian's existence proves him otherwise. The boy visibly flinched as he struggled to think of a passable answer. "I... Well...Um..."
"Ah... It wasn't my intention to pry... But I was told that none but the wildlife resides on this planet." Matthew assured him, giving him a small smile hoping to ease the younger male's growing hesitation. "I'm sorry... It seems that I had overstepped my boundaries..."
"Oh no, you aren't!" Caspian suddenly turns around to face him, his expression showing distraught. "My situation... Is quite complicated. But I decided to live on this planet a few months ago...."
Caspian could only swallow his saliva as his anxiety grew. He hope for Matthew to never know as he was merely a stranger and the last thing he ever wants is to get him involved with his problems...
"I see it's something personal..." Matthew merely nodded, understanding that the situation was something the white-haired male couldn't speak with casually. "Can I ask? How long was I had been unconcious?"
"I found you fallen on a crystal tree..." Caspian hesistated to continue, seeing the look of worry on Matthew's face.
"Your injuries are quite severe... I think you should stay in bed for the majority of your healing process." Caspian quickly went to change the subject. "I suggest a full month, You nearly died with those wounds..."
"No, I can't..." Matthew's crimson hues widened to their full size, hearing the number of days he has to spend just to recover. "I'm sorry but I must go as soon as I can.."
"No wait..." Seeing the injured man's attempt to leave the bed, Caspian rushes to his side before gently pushing him back down. "You might reopen your wounds...! I just stitched them a few hours ago...!"
"You don't...understand..." Matthew found himself unable to focus his gaze as his vision darkened with black spots and soon slowly started to spin. "What....?"
"I'm sorry but... you left me with no choice..."
Caspian's apologetic look was the last thing he saw as he soon loses his consciousness.
The younger boy managed to catch his head and laid him on the pillow. The teal glow on his hands soon dispersed seeing that his patient had now fallen into a deep slumber.
That's right... Caspian had used his healing magic on Matthew. But he prefer on not using them...
Memories flashed through his eyes as this made him clenched his fists... He refuse to acknowledge his own gift.
After all it was the reason of his own downfall...
Either way, he is still eager to study medicine. No matter what his elders had said, he will still persue the art of healing. He after all, dislike violence. Caspian glanced at the open book on his desk then to his patient. Thinking of the next course of action he should do now.
