'Star' hates nobles.

They are spoiled, snobby and most of the time downright evil.

And she was naive to think that there were exceptions. She hates that part of her past self.

That's why she had concealed herself into the astrolabe which also seals the four leaf grimoire that her magic resides in, so no noble would ever use her power to do harm ever again.

She thought the plan was foolproof, and that she would be safe from the horror of discrimination in this world. But on the day of the grimoire acceptance ceremony, she somehow suddenly lost control of her grimoire for a little bit, and some damn brat had gotten it.

She was pissed, her plan of staying hidden was shattered because of this one brat, and she will find out who. So what did she do? Of course she would summon that person suddenly and bring them into this dangerous dungeon where she had concealed herself into, yes, she is that petty.

When she saw the person that had obtained a grimoire, they were not what she had imagined, it was a ginger girl with purple eyes and her first reaction was to scowl at the total stranger who was very confused.

"This is the person that got my four leaf grimoire? What a joke."

Sure, she shouldn't have judged the other girl without knowing who she really is, but what're the chances that this person is not a noble, after all, only people of higher status have stronger mana which they can have a chance at getting her grimoire.

"H-hold on!" the stranger blurted out. "What makes you think I'm a noble?!"

"Are you?" The sentence makes her hopeful, is this finally the day where a commoner defies their fate by their powerful mana-

"Um...well, yes but-"

Aaaannnnddddd her hopes were shattered once again "THEN I WON'T SERVE YOU! ALL YOU NOBLES ARE THE SAME!"

————————————

So Star begrudgingly helped the girl, or now she had learned a princess of the clover kingdom, went back home because apparently, her father, the wizard king, can't stand the idea of his precious princess staying out late. Sounds pretty pathetic to Star, honestly.

"Out of all the nobles and royalties I had to be bound to, a princess had to be the one." she scoffed.

Watching the ginger girl panics as she tries to get home as fast as she could, Star can't help but roll her eyes, she finds it unamusing for a noble, much less a royal to act in such a way when it comes to their family, it's like the princess was different, but there's no way Star would consider that a possibility.

When Miki finally confronts her father, the wizard king, Star takes in his appearance, blonde hair, purple eyes, strange, he doesn't look related to Miki, could it be...

"My daughter!" Julius gasped. "You're back home safe! Where have you been?!"

Star was taken back when the middle aged guy suddenly leaps forward and hugged the girl, well that was unexpected...

"I-"

Oh hell no, there's no way she was going to get exposed to more nobles.

"Don't you even open your mouth about this to anyone." Using her telepathy, she quickly shuts the princess up. Good, at least this one knows how to keep quiet.

She couldn't care less what happened next after that, but she did know that the princess seemingly got grounded, and then a crazy lady with orange hair managed to make a ruckus in the yard and grabbed the princess away.

And so Star is left there at the princess's room, it's nice to finally have some peace, she thought, that is until the door opens and the fairy stiffens.

Thinking that if she just didn't respond, the person will just go away eventually, but then...

"I know you're in there,.." A familiar voice spoke up, and Star immediately recognized that voice.

"The wizard king?! How-" She panics a little, but quickly gains composure. "It doesn't matter, if I just don't respond to him, he'll surely left-"

"Andromeda, the celestial spirit."

The four leaf grimoire immediately flips open as the fairy emerges in front of Julius, seething.

"I see you have finally emerged." Julius mused.

"Quit messing around, now tell me, how did you find out about me?!" Star immediately barks back.

"It's actually quite difficult to find information on you." Julius said, pulling out a scroll. "Since someone...or you have destroyed almost all the evidence of your existence, but I manage to find this."

The scroll shows the design of the astrolabe that Star sealed herself in before Miki got the four leaf clover grimoire.

"Tch." Star only seethes, wishing she'd burn that scroll too.

"I will admit, I am surprised when I notice your appearance here, I know my daughter is special, but to even get chosen by the Celestial spirit herself..."

"Don't talk like I am willingly tied to your daughter! The whole thing only happens because I let my powers slip!" Star barked.
"Well, it doesn't matter now." Julius cuts her off, voice tone turning dangerously serious. "Whoever you are doesn't matter, I don't want to see you hurting my daughter."

"Oh? What if that happens then?" Star asked mockingly, amused.

"Then there will be consequences."

The atmosphere in the room turns tense as two powerful beings stand in front of each other, watching the other carefully like they were preparing to unleash their full power here and there, knowing full well what the consequences may be.

Star was the first to give in.
"Fine." She sighs. "I'm not as low as you nobles and royals anyway."

Julius's attitude immediately changes into his usual happy-go-lucky demeanor.

"That's amazing! Thank you celestial spirit Andromeda!" he said.

Star just scoffed. "Yeah yeah, whatever suits you, old man."

Julis stared at the spirit, face softening, he sympathize with the fairy like creature, as he too have seen the inequalities and prejudice that the commoner folks in his kingdom had to suffer, it's not a pretty sight even as an outsider like him but compared to the hundred of years that the spirit had lived, who know what other horrible things she had to witness.

"You know." Julius spoke up. "My daughter is not what you think she is, she's actually a kind person to-"

"You all said that but ended up showing your true faces in the end!" Star barked. "I'm not falling for that, never again!"

Of course, Julius thought, she has been through those situations too. It will be hard to get the trust of the celestial spirit and he is at first unsure whether his daughter could handle Star, but he brushed this thought off.

"Miki is a strong person." He thought. "She can handle it."

"Well, if that's the case then I will be on my way now." Julius said as he walked through the door, but before he closed it, he said one last thing. "But do give her a little chance, ok?"

Star was left alone again, she didn't want to think about the words that the wizard king had told her had been stuck in her head.

"But do give her a little chance, ok?"

"I highly doubt that."

————————————

The door opened again as Star tensed up, she's inside the grimoire again but after the encounter with the wizard king, she has realized that she needs to be more aware.

"Uh-hi." It's Miki's voice. "I-uh-I thought that you would like something to eat uh..."

Star doesn't answer.

"Y-you must be hungry right? I bought some pastry for you." Miki announced.

"What did she think she would gain from this? Like hell I would go out for just a mere cake."

"You...don't have a name right?" The princess continued, causing Star to feel more frustrated.

"So stubborn."

"I don't want you to be called 'fairy' all the time, it sounds weird, you know? How about...Star? You have a star shaped pin right?"

"What a lame name." Star swears if she rolled her eyes any harder, it would pop out of her head.

The spirit heard the ginger sighs aloud.

"Well, I need to go now, I have work around the castle, so...see you, Star."

After the door behind her is closed, Star got out of the grimoire and stared at the strawberry cake next to the four leaf clover grimoire, she scowled.

"My daughter is not what you think she is, she's actually a kind person to-"

Julius's words come rushing back to her as she shakes it off.

"No, she's a noble, a royal! She can't be different from the others." She tries to convince herself, trusting people like them had already hurt her more than she can ever say, not only that, it caused danger to others around too.

"All of them are the same..."

"Right?"
