The rest of camp goes smoothly, you are training really well and finally feel like part of the arsenal family.
You are on the plane home, sat next to Leah who is holding your hand. You fall asleep on Leah's shoulder. She kisses your head and strokes her thumb on your hand.
A couple hours later the plane lands and you are heading back to your flat. Leah has gone back to her house to unpack. You decide to go for a walk to get a coffee.
You are walking on the streets of London with your headphones in. Someone taps you on your shoulder. You take a headphone out and turn around.
Rachel Daly: "y/n! I thought that was you"
Y/n: "Rach! How are you?"
You hug her for a minute.
Rach: "I'm good, here for the weekend"
Y/n: "I'm on my way to get a coffee, you wanna join?"
Rach: "I'd love to"
You and Rachel walk to your favourite coffee shop, you are talking about everything that's going on with you. You get to the coffee shop and order. You both sit down.
Y/n: "so what's new with you?"
Rach: "not a lot to be honest, I signed for Villa though so I guess we will be playing against each other now you are at Arsenal"
Y/n: "wow Rach that's brilliant!"
Rach: "yeah I'm excited, should be a good season, so you and Leah?"
Y/n: "yeah"
Rach: "I'm happy for you, wish you were still with me but never mind"
Y/n: "we would never have worked long term"
Rach: "maybe, maybe not, guess we didn't give it a proper shot did we"
Y/n: "no we didn't"
Rach: "oh well, you're happy now so that's all that matters"
Y/n: "yeah I am"
Rach: "good, I have a meeting I need to get to, I'll text you later"
Rach stands up and kisses your cheek.
She walks out of the coffee shop and you head home. Leah rings you just as you get back.
Leah: "hey babe, what you doing?"
Y/n: "just been out for a coffee, bumped into Rach so she came with me"
Leah: "Rach? Your ex?"
Y/n: "yeah we are still friends, we haven't spoken in a while"
Leah: "oh right"
Y/n: "babe there's nothing to worry about, you coming over?"
Leah: "not tonight, I'm seeing my family"
Y/n: "oh okay, well have fun"
Leah: "thanks babe, I love you"
Y/n: "I love you too, talk later"
The call ends, you sit on the sofa looking through twitter and instagram. Pictures of you and Rach start circulating. Your relationship was never really public but there was speculation as you spent a lot of time together.
There are a lot of headlines saying you are cheating on Leah with Rachel and you start getting worried that Leah will believe it.
You know Leah is with her family right now so you decide to leave it until the morning.
You spend the evening relaxing watching movies. You get a knock at the door at around 10.30 just as you are about to head up to bed. You open the door, it's Leah.
Leah: "hey babe"
She walks in and kisses you.
Y/n: "hey, I thought I wasn't seeing you tonight?"
Leah: "missed you too"
Y/n: "you know I missed you"
Leah: "I thought I'd come round, is that okay?"
Y/n: "of course it's okay, I'm just about to go to bed, you coming?"
Leah: "of course"
You and Leah get into bed.
Y/n: "have you seen twitter?"
Leah: "yeah"
Y/n: "it's not true"
Leah: "I know it's not, don't worry"
Leah cuddles up to you. At that moment you get a text from Rachel.
The message:
Rach: Hey, just me, have you seen twitter? Has Leah seen twitter?
You decide not to answer it.
Leah: "you can answer it you know?"
Y/n: "I will, later"
Leah: "okay"
Leah ends up falling asleep pretty quickly, you lie awake for a while so you decide to text Rach back.
The message back:
Y/n: yeah I've seen it, so has Leah. All good.
Rach: I miss you x
You stare at the message not knowing what to say back. You don't respond, you put your phone down and fall asleep.
The next morning Leah wakes up before you. She gets up and starts making breakfast. You wake up a little while later and go to the kitchen, you put your arms around her waist and put your head on her shoulder.
Y/n: "good morning"
Leah: "good morning babe, sit down breakfast is almost ready"
Y/n: "I could get used to this"
Leah: "I bet you could"
Leah puts the plate in front of you and sits down. You start eating then remember the message that Rach sent you last night. You debate on telling Leah or keeping it to yourself. You decide you need to tell her.
Y/n: "babe"
Leah: "mhm"
Y/n: "Rach told me she misses me last night"
Leah stops eating and looks at you.
Leah: "what?"
You show Leah the message and she just nods.
Leah: "right, do you miss her?"
Y/n: "don't be stupid, of course I don't"
Leah: "okay then there's nothing to say then is there"
Y/n: "I just thought I'd tell you"
Leah: "you didn't need to"
Y/n: "okay"
Leah: "I love you"
Y/n: "I love you too babe"
You kiss her and finish eating your breakfast. You clean up both of your plates and decide that you want to go for a walk as the weather is nice.
You and Leah are walking through a park near your flat holding hands when a couple of fans run up to you both.
Fan 1: "can we please get a photo with you Leah?"
Fan 2: "pleaseeee"
Leah: "of course you can"
Leah takes photos with them, you look at how good Leah is with them and are stood there smiling at her.
After taking photos you and Leah sit down in a nearby cafe to get a coffee. You talk for a bit before heading back to your flat.
You are sat on the roof, Leah comes up with a drink and hands you it.
Leah: "here you go"
She kisses you as she hands it to you.
Y/n: "thanks babe"
Leah: "anytime"
Y/n: "so we have a couple weeks before we start preseason, you wanna go on holiday?"
Leah: "yeah where to?"
Y/n: "I'll keep that a surprise for you"
Leah: "babe, just tell meeee"
Y/n: "nope"
You start booking somewhere whilst she keeps trying to look at your phone.
Y/n: "booked"
Leah: "where are we going?"
Y/n: "somewhere"
Leah: "urghhh you're so annoying!"
Y/n: "that's me, we leave tomorrow"
Leah: "tomorrow?!"
Y/n: "better get packing babe"
Leah: "okay tell me what I need to pack then"
Y/n: "clothes for hot weather"
Leah: "oooo okay so we aren't going to Antarctica then?"
You start laughing.
Y/n: "no babe, we aren't going to Antarctica"
Leah: "good it's too cold there"
After a while Leah goes home to pack. You start packing too.
The next day you are picking Leah up from her house to head to the airport. She still doesn't know where you are going. You are surprising her at the airport.
At the airport.
Leah: "where are we going?!?"
Y/n: "the big apple"
Leah: "New York? We are going to New York?"
Y/n: "mhmmm"
Leah hugs and kisses you over and over.
You start laughing.
Y/n: "okay okay, our flight leaves in 2 and a half hours"
Leah: "im so excited! Thank you babe"
Y/n: "I love you"
Leah: "I love you"
You kiss her and walk through the terminal.
You land in New York and head straight to your hotel which is right in the middle of Times Square. You drop your bags off and go straight out for something to eat.
You are walking through Times Square taking photos and taking it all in.
You look at Leah smiling at the atmosphere.
Over the next week you travel around New York, visiting all of the big sights.
You get home and relax on the sofa after travelling most of the day. Leah is asleep on you and you are going through all the photos and memories you and Leah made whilst in New York.
The next day you and Leah are unpacking.
Y/n: "le?"
Leah: "yeah babe"
Y/n: "move in with me"
Leah looks up at you.
Leah: "what?"
Y/n: "move in with me"
Leah: "seriously?"
Y/n: "yeah"
Leah walks over to you, she kisses you.
Y/n: "is that a yes then?"
Leah: "of course it is"
You kiss her and hug her tightly.
Leah: "are you moving to mine or am I moving to yours?"
Y/n: "what do you want to do"
Leah: "I'm here all the time anyway, I love this flat"
Y/n: "okay then"
Leah: "I love you y/n"
Y/n: "I love you"
Over the next few days Leah moves into your flat, tomorrow is first day of preseason. You and Leah are visiting Leah's family for a BBQ at her parents house.
You walk into the garden with Leah.
Leah: "hey mum"
Amanda: "Leah! darling!"
She hugs Leah.
Amanda: "y/n! It's so lovely to see you again"
She hugs you tightly.
Amanda: "come on, everyone wants to see you"
You and Leah talk to all of Leah's family. Her brother jacob is talking to you.
Jacob: "so you and Leah?"
Y/n: "yeah"
Jacob: "you make her so happy you know?"
Y/n: "I do?"
Jacob: "yeah you do, she talks to me about you all the time"
You smile widely. Leah walks over with a drink for you, she hands it to you and kisses you.
You all have a few drinks and talk to her whole family before it's time to go.
Leah: "mum we are going"
Amanda: "really?"
Leah: "yeah, we have pre season training tomorrow so"
Amanda: "okay, drive safe, I'll call you this weekend"
She hugs you both and you leave.
The next day you and Leah are at pre season training, there are no footballs on the pitches which only means one thing.
Jen: "fitness testing"
Y/n: "yep"
Beth: "im tired thinking about it already"
Steph: "we will be fineee"
Jonas comes out of the building and talks to the team before training.
Jonas: "I hope you all had a good break, you all working incredibly hard last season so you definitely deserved one, fitness testing today so make sure you are all hydrated"
Everyone groans and complains at the thought of it but you like fitness testing because you know that your fitness is better than most of the team on the squad.
The fitness starts and you are going steady, working hard as per usual. Around the hour mark people start to slow down. You are still going strong with some of the squad including Leah.
Leah: "im gonna beat you"
Y/n: "game on babe, game on"
You push yourself hard, over the next 20 minutes Leah slows down, she's running out of energy. You have kept your pace and are now the only one left running. You keep running, picking up the pace as everyone watches you.
You push yourself hard, probably too hard. Jonas shouts at you to tell you to stop but you don't hear him, you want to keep going.
You keep running and running for another 10 minutes then everything goes black.
You have passed out from exhaustion. The team and medics run over to you.
Leah pushes past everyone and holds your hand.
Leah: "y/n? Babe?"
You are still passed out and you start to worry the medics.
They put you on a stretcher and take you to the medical rooms, Leah holds your hand the whole time, she doesn't leave your side and keeps stroking your hair.
You start to wake up slightly.
Y/n: "le-Leah?"
Leah: "im here baby I'm here"
She kisses your head as the medics check you over.
Y/n: "what happened?"
You try and sit up.
Leah: "no babe don't move, stay laid down. You passed out, did you eat this morning?"
Y/n: "I erm can't remember"
Leah: "it's okay, I'm just glad you're okay"
Y/n: "I love you"
Leah: "I love you too"
Leah kisses you softly, the medics decide there is no need for an ambulance, just for you to relax for the next couple of days to get your strength back.
The girls are all eating lunch when you walk through to the dining room, Leah is holding you so you don't fall.
The girls all come over and ask if you're okay.
Leah: "she's fine, she just needs food. I'll go get you something babe"
Leah walks off to get you some food.
Steph: "you okay? You don't look so good"
Y/n: "I'll be fine, just I erm- yeah I'll be fine"
Steph and Beth look at you with concern as Leah walks back over.
Leah: "here, eat what you can"
Leah sits down next to you and eats her lunch too. You eat a little bit and feel much better afterwards.
Later on in the day, Leah takes you home and gets you into bed.
Y/n: "babe I'm fine, trust me I'm okay"
Leah: "well you've been given a couple days off to rest properly so I'll be here to look after you more"
Y/n: "babe you need to train"
Leah: "you saying i need the extra practice?"
Y/n: "not at all, but you can't miss out on anything because of me, I'll be okay"
Leah: "mhmmm, well we have tomorrow off anyways so I'm not leaving your side"
Y/n: "okay babe, can you do something for me?"
Leah: "anything"
Y/n: "come here and kiss me"
Leah: "done"
Leah walks over to you and kisses you softly, you smile whilst kissing her. You pull her down on top of you and keep kissing her.
Leah: "what are you doing"
Y/n: "kissing the love of my life"
Leah smiles and tries to get off you, you pull her closer.
Leah: "babe you need rest"
Y/n: "no I need you"
Leah smirks at you but gets off and lays next to you.
Y/n: "what are you doing"
Leah: "you need rest babe, so I'm going to cuddle you so you can"
Y/n: "when did my le get boring?"
Leah: "not boring at all babe, just want you to rest"
Y/n: "mhmm"
You cuddle into Leah and kiss her neck.
Leah: "babe"
Y/n: "yeahhh"
Leah: "I know what you are trying to do and it's not going to work"
You keep kissing her neck and end up marking her, she rolls you onto your back.
Leah starts kissing you passionately, you bite her lip and she moans a little bit. Things escalate pretty quickly.

You cuddle into Leah and fall asleep pretty quickly.
The next day you and Leah spend the day on the sofa relaxing and watching movies, you are feeling much better.
