(Intro theme)

It was a quiet day in Sydney Australia. The people were doing their busy daily routines, the fishermen were out fishing at the harbor, and the birds were soaring over the skies looking for food. It's here where we see a brown pelican named Gerald spot a strange looking orb on one of the poles above the water. He assumes it was a gum-ball as he had tasted it before and enjoyed it, so he scoops or up in his beak and soars off. He perched himself on one of the farther poles and swallows the object
However, what he didn't realize was that what he swallowed was in actuality, an experiment pot. It was white in color, and was labeled 001, meaning it was the first experiment Mechagodzilla ever created. Upon going down the throat, it stops, coating in saliva and the wet walls around the throat, it glows yellow as it swells in size
However, it was swelling INSIDE Gerald's throat, and he gasps as he felt it grow inside, cutting off his air supply. Then the experiment inside started moving around, and as Gerald tried to get it out, he slips off the poll to the ground. He cries out for help as he tried to cough out whatever was inside his throat. Thankfully, his fellow pelicans were perched on the roof of a nearby snack stand as they watched the scene unfold
PELICAN: Hey, Nigel. Would you look at that?
NIGEL: [wakes up] What?
PELICAN: Sun's barely up and already Gerald's had more than he can handle.
He gestures to the pelican in question, as he was now doing the Heimlich maneuver
NIGEL: Yeah. Reckon somebody oughta help the poor guy.
PELICANS: Yeah, right.
NIGEL: Well, don't everybody fly off at once.
Nigel them flies down toward Gerald, as he continues hitting his chest repeatedly until finally what was in his throat got moved up inside his mouth. That's when Nigel perched beside him
Nigel: alright Gerald, what is it? Fish got your tongue?
Gerald opens his mouth toward his best friend, to reveal experiment 001 holding his tongue
001 was a small purple experiment with a lavender lower jaw and chest, three tentacle-like legs, two stubby little arms, and two floppy antennae with two rings
Nigel: love a duck!
Nigel then moves behind Gerald and hits the back of his neck, making him spit out 001, but it did no good as he could levitate and was hovering right above their heads. Agitated on what he saw as a threat, his eyes shun red and blasted lasers out of his eyeballs and literally shrank the pelicans to the size of fish. 001 chuckles in delight as he levitates away from the harbor and towards where the city met the forest

Cut to the Harmony estate. Hanazuki was looking at a potted plant on the table and sighs. In it was a dormant moonflower, and any day now it would bloom into a new brother or sister for Hanazuki
Hanazuki: any day now, any day now!
That's when the alarms went off, and the EDS (experiment detection system) went off
Hanazuki: experiment hunting time!
Hanazuki picks up the potted moonflower and heads into mechagodzillas lair as he looks up the coordinates of the location, with stitch beside her
Mechagodzilla: huh. Interesting
Hanazuki: what is?
Mechagodzilla: it seems that the new experiment is somewhere in the Australian rainforest. But I can't pinpoint the exact location
Hanazuki: ooh! Mystery!
Stitch: stitch love mystery!
Mechagodzilla: it's hard to say which experiment it is, judging by the readings it's in the 0 category
Hanazuki: you mean your prototypes
Mechagodzilla; yep. I'd advise he insectobots come along, it's been a while since they've been on the field
Hanazuki: I'll give 'em a ring right now!
Hanazuki then heads to the phone as stitch looks to the computer. With a snap of his fingers, he leaps onto the keyboard and swiftly presses random buttons until finally getting the results mechagodzilla was looking for
Mechagodzilla: hehehe. Silly me. I keep forgetting I programmed you a super genius
Stitch rubs his chest and proudly pats himself on the back. Later the insectobots arrive as Mechagodzilla types in the coordinates stitch helped with as he is able to identify the activated experiment
Mechagodzilla: well as o live and breath! Experiment 001!
Hanazuki: 001?
Mechagodzilla: my first ever experiment! I like to call him shrink on account that he has the ability to shrink anyone and anything into teeny tiny size, but he can also expand their size into that of a titan. Thankfully a second zapping reverses the effects, but with the readings, he's still disoriented and confused after being stuck in a cramped pod for a long time
Hanazuki: don't worry if anybody can tame shrink, it's us
Mechagodzilla: oh, I would worry. He's quite tame already, but he's just confused at the moment. But I advise you to be careful when you find him. He'll probably think your an enemy
Arachnia: thanks. Ya got it gang?
Scorpia: you bet
Stag: ma'am yes ma'am!
She looks to waspinator, who currently, was talking to his reflection
Waspinator: no, I real Waspinator! No I'm real Waspinator! Stop copying what Waspinator says! I'm the real Waspinator!
Arachnia: ugh...let's just get in the move. Insectobots, transform and buzz out!
Everybody just stares at her confused
Arachnia: I'm working on the catchphrase alright? Let's just go already
They then get onto the teleportation pad, and Mechagodzilla types in the coordinates. And in a flash, they are whisked away and are taken deep in the middle of the Australian rainforest. They look around their surroundings as they start the search for shrink. But in the bushes, it seemed like shrink had found them, and immediately zapped them on the spot until they were 3 inches tall. They look to see shrink on the spot cackling
Arachnia: that's him! Stag, Waspinator!
Stag: on it!
Waspinator: Waspinator ready for battle!
They then transform into their insect forms as they then use their bodies to engage shrink. They hen finally pin him against a large root as stitch gets up to his face
Stitch: akuta naga pitu
Shrink: (groans) ooki taka
Hanazuki: well, that was the quickest mission ever!
Arachnia: well, we better get home now
Hanazuki: already? But we literally just got here!
Scorpia: she does have a point. It wouldn't hurt to stay a little longer. Besides, if we stay in insect form
As she spoke she transforms into her scorpion form
Scorpia: and in this size, we won't cause any panic
Arachnia ponders about it, she did have a point, they were the size of real insects, and they were far away from civilization, so what was the harm in staying here?
Arachnia: alright, we'll stay, but only for a few days
Hanazuki: yay! Come on! Let's go exploring then!
Stag and Waspinator scoop up Hanazuki and stitch as shrink scoops up Scorpia and Arachnia as they glide through the jungle. Truly the plants and animals were truly a sight to behold. Australia was the only place in the world where marsupials still roamed. Prime examples were kangaroos, wombats, and others. And duck billed platypus and echidnas, who were the only mammals who actually laid eggs, being in the same family of mammals called monotremes
As they continued into the jungle, they found a part of the forest which was truly beautiful. The plants were much greener, the wildlife was more abundant, and what was truly surprising, was the sight of green little lights zoom passed
They then take a rest to get a better view of the environment, before being splashed by something. They look around but saw nothing, only a kangaroo Joey and a young wombat and bandicoot on the other side of the pond laughing at how wet they were. But what truly surprised them, right before their eyes, was a real, life, fairy!
They watched in awe as the waged her hands, and magic dust appeared under the Joey, then sprouted out into a large tree sampling which carried the Joey into the air. The gang were in shock by the sight as they then proceed to follow the fairy as she flies off
Hanazuki: hey! Wait!
Hanazuki dashes as fast as she can, and with the help of Waspinator, she catches up to the fairy
Hanazuki: woah! That was amazing!
Fairy: you think so?
Hanazuki: yeah! I'm Hanazuki. What's your name?
Fairy: me? I'm Crysta. Are you new here?
Waspinator: that depend on what here is
Crysta: why, this is Ferngully. A beautiful magical place, where, as you can see, fairies like me reside
Hanazuki: cool!
Crysta: so what kind of fairy are you? Where are your wings?
Hanazuki: oh, I'm not a fairy. I'm a moonflower
Crysta then beams as her wings flap so fast, it was like that of a hummingbird
Crysta: really?! I thought moonflowers were extinct!
Hanazuki: well, we clearly ain't!
Crysta: but wait, aren't moonflowers normally...bigger?
Hanazuki: oh. You can thank shrink for the size change
Shrink blushed in embarrassment upon hearing that
Crysta: oh. Well, that makes sense. And who are your friends?
Hanazuki: oh! Those are the insectobots, Arachnia, Scorpia, Stag and Waspinator, amd this is my bff stitch!
Stitch: ih, h-hi
Crysta then looks to the potted moonflower in her hands which she has been holding all along
Crysta: and this this a future moonflower?
Hanazuki; uh huh! Any day now this little guy will turn into my new brother or sister!
And right on cue, the moonflower shines brightly
Hanazuki: make that right now! Ooh!
The moonflower rises into the air before a rainbow of color emerges. It then takes a physical shape until, right in front of them, the moonflower reveals his true form
He was a very tall moonflower, roughly as tall as Hanazuki, though still shrunken. He had a torn dirty appearance, not being mean because he had bruises on his cheeks and knees, and dirty looking clothing, his hair was mostly boyish, with a scrunchy on the back with an upward ponytail where his forehead flower drooped down. He also had sandals that extended to the bottom portion of his legs
Moonflower: (yawns) oh yeah that was a good nap. So, what's the dealo? What's happen-ing?
He looks around and noticed everyone starring at him
Moonflower: oh? We're ya expecting me?
Hanazuki immediately hugs him tightly
Hanazuki: yay! New brother!
Moonflower: thanks. So, do I get a name now or what?
Hanazuki; oh! Okay, let's see. How about... think...think...think
Crysta: how about, Kiyoshi?
Hanazuki: doh! You stole my thunder!
Moonflower: Kiyoshi? I like it!
Hanazuki: so, how come nobody ever came here before? It's beautiful
Crysta: that's because of how secluded it is. And thanks to the magic of our ancestors, and the spirit of the forest, it stays alive and fruitful, for all those who respect the balance of nature, and-
Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a group of weird looking thugs riding atop intimidating looking beetles flew right passed them, sweeping Kiyoshi off his feet and into another part of the forest, where he slid on the vines and surfed on leaves, passing the local animals like snakes and organic spiders. Finally he came to a stop, and he fell on his belly.
When he looked up, he was shocked to be faced to face, with a massive blue Goanna
I've a basic inclination
Kiyoshi's eyes extend out of their sockets as he screams, a buzzing sound is heard in the background. He then dashes away with his feet turning into speedy wheels. The goanna grins as he follows after
A very primal need
Kiyoshi screams as the goanna continues to come after him
To inspect the vegetation
For an egg or centipede
Kiyoshi climbs up a tree, thinking he would be safer, but the goanna was faster
I just can't control this hunger
Kiyoshi makes it up the tree, but bumps into a snail. The two fall down and Kiyoshi lands on the snails stomach, whom the ladder was on his back
I just can't seem to cut back
Kiyoshi looks to see the goanna marching toward him in a slow and steady pace, chomping down on a twig full of leaves demonstrating his hunger
On my ravenous consumption
You're a welcome little snack
Kiyoshi manages to free himself from the sticky belly of the snail, and dashes off, but the goanna continues the chase, and devours the snail mercilessly, thankfully no blood came out
If I'm gonna eat somebody
It might as well be you
The goanna faces three tree frogs, and points at each of them before holding back a mushroom, revealing Kiyoshi, who gasps and dashes off, the tree frogs sigh I'm relief
Can you dig it?
Kiyoshi hides under a leaf, but the Goanna picks him up and holds him like a sandwich
I could see you as a sandwich
Kiyoshi escapes as it reveals they were in a swamp bank
Or a strange, exotic stew
Kiyoshi swims through the bank, until coming to a part of the bog where numerous peaches reveal themselves to him
Floating down the river
Like an oyster in a stew
(Get funky one time)
He's gonna eat somebody
It might as well be you
Kiyoshi slips and falls off the side of a large waterfall. Fortunately he was caught. Unfortunately he was caught by the goanna who was holding him with his tongue
You know it
Kick it one time
Uh
Welcome to the food chain!
Finally the goanna retracts his tongue still holding kiyoshi. Thankfully Crysta Hanazuki amd the others came to the scene
Crysta: Lou! Spit him out! You can't eat him, he's a moonflower!
Lou: uh...what's a moonflower?
Hanazuki: I'm a moonflower
Crysta: and the one n your mouth is her brother, and my friend
The goanna, named Lou is surprised by that and then immediately spat kiyoshi out
Lu: any friend of a fairy, is a friend of mine
Crysta: thanks Lou
Lou: grr. Man you owe me a free dinner after this one
Arachnia heads up to kiyoshi and wipes all the reptile slobber off of him
Arachnia: are you alright?
Kiyoshi: yipers! That was insane! Is that how the food chain works? Cause I HATE IT! I never wanna go through that again
Hanazuki: yeah, and who were those guys earlier?
Crysta: ugh. Those were just the beetle boys up to their tricks again
Stag: so, how exactly did all of this come to be? And how come we're hearing about it just now?
Crysta: well, it is quite a long story
Hanazuki: GOOD! Don't leave out any details!
Crysta: okay, if you say so
Everyone went to a nice quiet spot where Crysta went to tell her story, the animal kids from earlier were there too as they wanted to hear the story also. Meanwhile, way up I'm the forest canopy, the beetle boys, stump, the brawn, knotty, the foodie, twig, the psycho, bark, the little shell child, and their pal, and Crysta's BF pips, we're relaxing doing absolutely nothing
Knotty: hey stump, what we gonna do today huh?
Stump: duh...what we doin today pips?
Pips: well, let's see. We could...ahh, who knows? Same as yesterday I guess. Same as any old day in Fermgully
Knotty: I thought you liked Ferngully pips
Pips: you kidding? I love it! Ferngully's the most beautiful place I know. But, let's face it. It's the only place I know. And I don't mean to be rude, but I get kinda bored of it sometimes
The beetle boys were at a loss for words. They didn't know their pal could get bored of their own home. But they did have to admit, it did get kinda boring doing the same thing every day. Pips looks down and sees Crysta flying their direction. That gave him an idea. He then hides in the bushes as Crysta flies up to some high hanging friends and waters them. The beetle boys then get some berries and give them to pips, whom loads them into his wood makeshift harmonica, and blows them at her, making the beetle boys laugh. Crysta immediately knew who it was and decided to play along. She then grabs a vine and pulls on it hardly, making pips fall out of his hiding spot. Thankfully since he could fly, he was okay
Crysta: nice of you to, drop in, pips. I know you can't resist a gardening lesson
She then pours water on the fronds, and in front of everyone's eyes, they magically bloomed back into strong healthy plants, oohing the beetle boys
Pips: psss. Child's play, babe. Let a pro show ya how it's done
He then flies down to the gang as he faces a batch of leaves growing out of a tree root. He then plays his harmonica, and right in front of the gang, magic roots sprouted from the leaves and sprouted into a large plant sprouting beautiful flowers...which wilted after two seconds of blooming
Pips: beat that Crysta
Crysta: Magi Lou thought me that magic is too precious to waste on silly games
Hanazuki: come on. Just once? Please.....?
Hanazuki then gives her the puppy eyes, which was absolutely adorable
Arachnia: just do it. No arguing with that face. Trust me
Crysta: well, alright, but only since you asked so nicely. Watch closely
Crysta then reveals a tiny seed in her hand. She floats gently to the ground, makes a hole in the dirt, and out the seed into it. She then hurts the seed and presses both hands on it. Then yellow and orange aura swirl around it. Hanazuki coulda sworn she heard a Bulgarian choir in the background. Suddenly, the swirls intensified as a great and strong tree grew from the tiny seed, increasing in size until it was as tall as the tallest dreadnoughtus
Hanazuki: cool!
Kiyoshi: amazing...
Pips: just what we need, another tree. Big deal! Ferngully is full of em. Personally, I'd like to see something new. Come in boys
With that, the beetle boys follow pips, all, except for bark. He just stood their motionless atop his ladybug in absolute awe over the spectacle of what he had just witnessed
Bark: wow...you grew a tree. A whole tree!
Crysta: you can try to grow one too bark. But remember, magic is not just for fun and games
Crysta then gives bark a small seed. He then plants it in the ground and presses his hands on it the same way Crysta did. He concentrated and tried as hard as possible, with everyone watching and rooting for him, but nothing happened
Crysta: you'll learn to do it someday bark. If you want, I can show you how to grow a sprout
Pip: don't waste your time with that boring stuff bark. Come on boys, let's go find a little action
With that they head off, but not before hearing a loud hollering voice
Hanazuki: hey, anybody else hear that?
They listened as the voice headed directly in their direction
"They're coming! We're under attacked! Outta my way, I'm an endangered species!"
Then suddenly, out of the foliage, came a crazy looking anti-nocturnal bat flying directly at them. Hanazuki noticed it had a weird contraption on the left side of his head with wires on it, but before she could ask anything about it, the bat slammed right into the tree Crysta grew
Crysta: batty! Are you alright?
Waspinator: what with crazy bat?
Batty: mayday! Mayday! We're going down, chopper one, we're doing down! Help!
Stag: what's crazy wings babbling on about?
Baggy: two words, HUMANS!!!!
Kiyoshi: technically, that's one word, three syllables
Arachnia: poachers. Slimy beasts who want to hunt and sell animals for profit. Where are they? Where are the poachers?
Batty: whe-where are the poachers you ask? I'll tell you where they are! They're right behind me! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!
Hanazuki: what's with him?
Crysta: humans experimented on poor batty, and now he's a little....
Pips: crazy! There are no humans in ferngully batty. It's perfectly safe!
Batty; Ferngully? Safe?! Survey says "eeeehhhh"! Wrong answer! You can lounge around in your fungal furniture, not me! I may be batty, but I'm not nutty. I'm outta here! I'm a ghost! I'm history! I'm a hologram! Ya can't see me! Bye bye now!
With that he swoops up, but hits his head on the branch above him, and swings on the branch below until he is hanging upside down
Batty: no way hose! Ya won't find ol' batty hanging around!
Scorpia: but you are hanging around
Batty: figuratively! Not literally!
That's when they hear it. Loud scary barking, so loud it scared the birds away
Crysta: what's that?
Arachnia: hunting dogs!
Hunting dogs they were, as they charge at the, leaping out of the bushes, cornering the group baring their fangs drooling saliva at them
Waspinator: Waspinator says, RUN!!!
Batty: now your talking my language!
Everyone then stampedes off, running as fast as they could from the hunting dogs. But then suddenly, an enormous van follows the path of the canines, knocking down a tree blocking their path. They all then hide as they see a tall man with a prominent chin emerge from the van
Kiyoshi; what is that?
Hanazuki: a human!
Arachnia: a poacher
Batty: Yeesh, and an UGLY one at that!
The hunter then grabs a whip and forcefully whips the dogs with it
Hunter: go thrasher! Go boo!
The dogs them bark as they charge after the young animal children. They flee as fast as they could, but the dogs were too quick, even for the,, and they were all caught in traps set by the hunter. The hunter then takes the animals out of the traps and holds them in net bags
Hunter: let's see, ehh, another wombat. Ooh! A little bandicoot. Cute. And a Joey kangaroo. You'll make a nice pair of slippers
The hunter then puts the three animals into separate bags and loads them into the back of the van. In the shadows, Everyone watches as another man comes out of the van, but chuckle to see he was stuck in his own seatbelt
Man: grr! Why do they have to make these things so complicated!
Hunter: beats me boss.
Man: so? What we get?
Hunter: a wombat, a bandicoot, and a kangaroo
Man: splendid!
The ken then get into the van with the dogs getting on the back, and the van drives off. Everyone watches in the shadows as they drive off
Batty: there's three little animals were never gonna see again
Crysta: no! This can't be happening!
Batty: maybe it's all a terrible dream! Maybe I'll pinch myself and wake up now
Scorpia rolls her eyes and pinched him with her stinger. Thankfully there was no poison. Just sleeping serum that knocked him out cold the instant it was injected into him
Scorpia: he'll be out for a good long while
Crysta: we've got to do something! They're only babies! And their parents! What will I tell them?
Hanazuki: don't worry, we're gonna get those three back, or die trying!
Kiyoshi: uh...could you rephrase that?

I LIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVEEEEE!!!!
I am so, sorry for not being here. I was busy with a whole lotta other stuff, like my previous iPad being broken cause I've been using it while charging too much, working on my Flipaclip animation, which I finally got sound into via recording, and my dinotopia series
With the opening bit with Gerald the pelican. Since it's set in Australia, I had to think of something, and since finding Nemo is set I'm Australia, I thought, why not do that?
With the insectobots, I figured since I haven't used them for a while it was high time they get some screen time
With the goanna song, since it's a ferngully arc, I had to, plus the songs been in my head for a while
Anyways, sorry for the downer of an ending, but this is just the first part of the arc as the second arc will be about the gang setting off to rescue nugget, (the kangaroo) wal, (the wombat) and bandi (the bandicoot), and making some new human friends along the way. Whatever thoughts and opinions you guys have here, I'd love to hear them
