Y/n was still in shock over the loss of Tup, his friend, one of his brothers, gone, Fives was doing what ever he could to help him but nothing was going through to him, at this moment as Fives was sitting with Y/n Shaak Ti arrived and hoping to speak with them, Fives was the first to stand up when she approached
Fives: General, what did the Chancellor say?
Shaak Ti: Supreme Chancellor Palpatine wants the tumor and all of the intel gathered sent to the Grand Republic Medical Facility on Coruscant.
Fives: So, then we'll be going to Coruscant as well?
Shaak Ti: You were not a part of the Chancellor's request. I'm sorry, Fives, but this is a matter best left to the medical professionals.
Nala Se: There is still so much we do not know. Perhaps we would know more if this clone had not taken matters into his own hands.
Y/n jumped up full angry he stepped right up to Nala Se
Y/n: Listen! We were trying to save are friend!
Nala Se: And yet perhaps by removing this tumor, it was you who killed him.
Y/n: What do you care? You were going to kill him anyway, and dissect him, too. He's a soldier. He deserves better!
Shaak Ti: Stand down, young Skywalker, don't let your emotions cloud your judgement, Doctor, there is no proof of your claim. I want this specimen and all the data
prepared for transit to the Jedi Temple.
Nala Se: The Chancellor said the tumor and data was to be sent directly to the Medical Facility on Coruscant, not the Jedi Temple.
Shaak Ti: And it will get there, but after the Jedi have run an analysis on it first.
Nala Se: I protest. I must personally deliver
the tumor to the Chancellor as ordered.
Shaak Ti: You can protest all you want. My word is final.
Shaak Ti put the tumor inside a case on the table as a couple of troopers entered the room, Y/n smiled in this small victory over Nala Se knowing Shaak Ti was still wanting to figure what went wrong
Shaak Ti: You have one more physical to pass. If you are cleared, you will be sent back to the 501 st
Fives: Thank you, General.
Shaak Ti: What about you young Skywalker, do you wish to return to the temple
Y/n: No, I'll be staying with Fives and returning to my brother
Shaak Ti: It will be good to put this entire incident behind you
Nala Se: I agree.
Y/n and Fives watched as a droid dropped a case next to the one with the tumor inside and suddenly picked it up, Fives and Y/n were escorted by two clones and walked towards one of the treatment rooms until they saw AZI heading th other way with two clone troopers
Fives: AZI-3!
AZI: Hello, ARC Trooper Fives. I regret that we were unable to heal your friend.
Fives: Yeah, me, too.
AZI: Are you going to be reprogrammed as well?
Fives: No, AZI, I'm going back to the front.
AZI: That is not what I heard. I heard your mind was going to be wiped and that you would be reassigned here and placed on sanitation detail. We can still be friends, assuming we both remember each other after our memories have been erased.
Suddenly Y/n and Fives looked at each other fearing the worst, Y/n grips his fist tightly as the clone shoves Fives
Kaminoan: Let's go, CT-5555.
Y/n: No!
Y/n swung his arm and spread open his palm blasting the clones with the force for the first time since Ahsoka left knocking them unconscious leaving AZI speechless as Fives grabs a blaster
AZI: Look what you did! I cannot believe what you did!
Fives: I am not getting my mind erased,
and neither are you.
Suddenly the Kaminoan activated the alarm and the three ran back towards where they came from
Y/n: We're getting out of here!
AZI: Are we escaping?
AZI: Why are we here?
They entered the room and found the case, Fives opened it and found the chip was inside
Fives: I knew it!
Y/n: Nala Se switched the cases. She's trying to hide something.
AZI: Oh, the tumor? So we are going to
continue our research?
Fives: Yeah, the research, that's it. Now come on!
AZI: Whoa!
They took the chip and ran out of the room and heading towards the hanger, as they reached the hanger a clone pilot tried to stop them from entering a pod
Clone: I'm sorry, sir. All ships are locked down during the emergency.
Y/n: Oh? What about that one?
Fives threw a punch knocking out the pilot as more clones arrived for them
Clone: Hey! There they are!
Fives: Sorry, brother.
The three entered the pod and quickly launched it out of the hanger leaving Shaak Ti standing there watching as the pod disappeared out of view
Shaak Ti: I want them brought back!! Have that ship tracked.
Clone: Yes, ma'am.
Inside the pod Y/n prepared to open the hatch as Fives watched the sensors
Fives: Can you float?
AZI: I am buoyant and have several survival modes.
Y/n: Ah! Survival, eh?
Automated Voice: Autopilot
engaged. Navigation and orbit set.
AZI: Wait! What are you doing?
I thought we were escaping?
Y/n: Nope, this is a diversion. I need them to chase this pod while we go back and investigate the cause of Tup's death.
Fives: Any more questions, Doctor?
AZI: Actually, yes, now that you mention it...
Y/n grabs AZI and jumpa out of the pod soon followed by Fives and with a huge splash they landed, Y/n held onto AZI as his swimming wasn't that much better
Fives: AZI! AZI!
AZI: Now what?
Y/n: We're going back to figure out
why Tup died.
AZI: I can get us there much faster.
AZI suddenly transform it what looked like a scooter Y/n and Fives climbed onto the Droid looking suprised
Y/n: Oh! You're just full of surprises,
aren't you?
AZI: This is one of my various survival modes. I am equipped..
Fives: Droids.
AZI: A "thank you" would have been nice.
They flew across the ocean back towards the facility hoping that they were still looking for the pod, they flew upto a causeway where Y/n and Fives climbed up a ladder
AZI: What... Oh.
Fives: Once we're inside, I need you to
get me a change of clothes, AZI.
Once inside AZI flew up to a nearby clone and tapped on his shoulder
AZI: Trooper, I think I saw the renegade
clone head into the storage room.
Clone: All right, let's check it out.
AZI being his chatty self led the clone inside what looked like a storage room and completely dark, once he was close enough Fives hit the trooper in the back of the head knocking him clean out and falling to the floor
Y/n: Owch, hope we don't meet these guys down the line.....
Fives: We need to get the tumor analyzed.
AZI: Follow me.
Once Fives took the armour off the clone and put it on the three headed straight for the records hall where AZI will hopefully find what they are looking for
AZI: This is the Genetic Records Hall. It contains data on the original DNA of every being we have ever cloned. We will compare the tumor's DNA versus that of Jango Fett, the original donor. If any tumor like this has been noted before, we will find it. The tumor, please?
Fives gives AZI the tumor and the droid began to search the records but quickly found something very troubling
AZI: Nothing.
Fives: What?
AZI: The sample doesn't match anything
found in the Jango Fett genotype. Furthermore, it is not even completely organic. It is foreign to the body. Someone implanted it there.
Fives: An implant? You mean this isn't an accident?
Y/n: I knew it......
Fives: Someone did this to Tup?
AZI: Precisely.
Meanwhile inside the security room Shaak Ti was searching for the two until two clones came inside the room
Clone: There have been no unauthorized ships leaving Kamino, General.
Shaak Ti: I sense we are looking in the wrong place, especially young Skywalker wouldn't do something without a reason
Clone: We have a report from the Genetic Records Hall.
Shaak Ti: Explain.
Clone: Someone is accessin the Jango Fett genotype.
Nala Se:It's them.
Shaak Ti: Evacuate that room quietly.
Back in the records hall Y/n, Fives and AZI continued looking at the records but realized there time must be almost up
Y/n: Is there another way out of here
besides the door we came in?
AZI: Yes, there are emergency
access hatches in every major room in case of flooding.
Y/n: Good, let's get moving.
The three moved towards the hatch at the back of the room when a squad or clone's entered and saw them opening fire at them with stun blasts, quickly they ran for the hatch and climbed the ladder, Fives spun the hatch handle pulling it open he and Y/n climbed inside and sealing it behind them
Shaak Ti: Station your men at every access point back into the main hallway system!
Clone: Yes, ma'am.
Meanwhile inside the tunnels Y/n, Fives and AZI continued forward when Fives started to wonder about himself
Fives: Did you get all the information you needed?
AZI: Mostly. We know that the tumor
is a foreign material and was implanted
for an unknown reason. However, there is still so much we do not know about it. For example, at what stage was it introduced to Clone Tup?
Y/n: And why?
Fives: What is this thing? Why would someone put it in Tup?
AZI: I believe this is an organic chip
built out of cells.
Fives: What's it for?
AZI: I do not know.
Y/n: I've got a bad feeling about this.....
Fives: I need to find out if what was in Tup's head is in mine.
AZI: We have already done a scan and...
Fives: But it was missed in Tup, and it
could have been missed in me, too! You have to take it out.
AZI: We cannot be 100% sure if the chip is even there.
Y/n: I know it's there, I can feel it, just like in Tup's head it's also in Fives, I finally understand what I'm sensed now
AZI: It is a dangerous surgery...
Fives: Look, you got it out of Tup, you can get it out of me.
AZI: He died after I removed the chip. Maybe it is connected. You may die, too.
Fives: It's a chance I have to take.
Y/n: I trust you not to die
Fives: Hey, I've made it this far
AZI: All right, I will do it. Let us go to a sterile facility.
They snuck their way to an operation theatre while everything was clear, Fives sat on the chair as AZI prepared for surgery
AZI: Hold still. This will not hurt a bit.
Once again AZI stabs FIves with a piece of equipment
Fives: Ahhh!
Y/n: I hate doctors........
Fives: You sure you know what you're doing, right?
AZI: Why, yes. I have been programmed
to perform over 100...
Fives: All right, all right.
Fives: Let's do this.
AZI: You will only be unconscious
for a few minutes.
Meanwhile Shaak Ti was still searching for the them but was starting to wonder why they came back
Clone: There's no sign of them, General. They must have escaped by now.
Shaak Ti: Escape was never their intention. They are investigating, searching. Their appearance in the genetics labs proves this. But what are they searching for?
Back in the op room Fives awoke from his operation and saw Y/n and AZI looking over him
Fives: Well? Was it... Was it there?
AZI: Yes. Identical in structure. However, it appears that the one I found in your friend had malfunctioned, while yours is perfectly intact.
Fives: You were right Y/n
Y/n: Are you sure his breakdown was isolated?
AZI: There is no way of knowing that. And now that we have removed his chip, we do not know what will happen to you.
Fives: So, then, I could snap, too?
AZI: Possibly. But when we removed
the chip from Tup, he... I am afraid you may die as well.
Y/n: We need to know if more clones
than just Tup and Fives have these, and when they were implanted with them.
AZI: My analysis suggests implantation took place at the earliest stage of development, most likely when Fives and Tup were only embryos.
Y/n: Then we have to start there.
They made a quick get away from the room and headed down a long hallway but unfortunately ended up in a classroom full of young clones
Fives: Oh, great.
Y/n: Try to act normal.
AZI: Normal?
AZI Hummed Loudly as they walked across the classroom
AZI: Hello! How was that? Was that normal?
Fives: For you, AZI, yeah.
They left the room on the opposite side but unaware of the teachers calling for security, the three quickly made their way to an embryo facility to scan for the chips
AZI: We will start with the earliest stage
of development.
AZI used the computer to start a scan for the chip in the early stages of development
AZI: Nothing. I will now try a Stage 3 embryo.
Suddenly the computer scans came up as positive for the chip
AZI: There it is! Ah!
Y/n: Try another
AZI type on the computer for another stage 3 embryo coming to the same conclusion
AZI: Based on this data, I can calculate how many in this tree are altered.
As AZI type on the computer again it started to flash green with all the stage 3 embryos
Fives: I can't believe it.
Y/n: They all have one.
Suddenly the room across from them opened revealing Nala Se, Fives quickly pointed his blaster at her full of anger and betrayal towards her
Fives: Don't move.
Nala Se: Why are you doing this?
Fives: I know what you've done!
Nala Se: What is it that you think I have done?
Y/n; How do you explain this?
Nala Se: That is a structural inhibitor chip, which is supposed to prevent the clones from being aggressive, like your source, Jango Fett. Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas instructed us to implant them during your growth cycle.
Fives: The Jedi? The Jedi had this done to us?
Y/n thought to himself about everything that is going on but everything still didn't add up
Y/n: Maybe, but something tells me it's unknown to the council
AZI: It is not uncommon to have inhibitors placed in a clone. I have analyzed this one,
and apparently it has failed.
Nala Se: Up until this point, there has never been a problem.
Fives: Well, you have got a big problem now.
Suddenly Shaak Ti and a squad of clones came bursting into the room ready for a fight
Clone: Don't move! Drop your weapon.
Y/n: Shaak Ti I know what's going on. I have the evidence. Apparently Jedi master Sifo-Dyas Dinstructed that inhibitor chips be implanted in the clones at birth, but Tup's malfunctioned. That's what made him lose control.
Shaak Ti: Where is the evidence?
AZI: I have it right here.
He hovered over to Shaak Ti showing both of the chips
AZI: As you can see, the chip taken from
Clone Trooper Tup is black and rotting, indicating a malfunction of some sort.
Shaak Ti: What caused the malfunction?
Y/n: It doesn't matter. The fact is Tup's chip malfunctioned and it drove him insane. These chips have to be removed, otherwise the entire Republic Army could be compromised.
Nala Se: There's no proof of that! This is an isolated incident. Besides, when you removed Trooper Tup's chip, he died.
Fives: Well, that's not going to happen
to the rest of us.
Nala Se: And how do you know that?
Fives: Because I removed mine!
AZI: Here is Clone Trooper Fives' chip. As you can see, there is no sign of malfunction in either him or the chip.
Nala Se: By removing your chip, you are a threat. Master Jedi, we must terminate
this trooper immediately.
Fives: I am not a piece of hardware! I'm a living being!
Nala Se: You were created in our laboratories. You are Kaminoan property!
Y/n: He is my brother, not a slave!!
Shaak Ti: Correction, technically,
he is property of the Republic.
Nala Se: That does not change the fact that
he is a danger and must be terminated.
Y/n: You even try it........
Shaak Ti: I believe that's for me to decide.young Skywalker, Fives, you are coming with me to Coruscant. I think it's time you told your story to the Chancellor.
Nala Se: Master Jedi! I beg you to reconsider!
Shaak Ti: The Chancellor wanted all the data on Tup to be sent to Coruscant. We're sending the data, the tumor and Fives along with it.
Shaak Ti: Then I am going with you.
Y/n: Not a chance!!!
Shaak Ti: As you wish, Doctor.
Fives: Thank you for believing in us, General.
Shaak Ti: It is not a matter of belief, Fives, it is simply the right thing to do.
Y/n: Master Shaak Ti, I have a terrible feeling about these chips
Shaak Ti: I know, that's why I'm glad you followed your instincts, master Kenobi speaks highly of you, and I can understand why now
AZI: It looks like you got what you wanted.
Fives: Thanks to you. I'll see you on the other side.
AZI: The other side of what?
Fives laughed to himself as he laid onto a medical bed and got given some painkillers
Fives: Ah, droids.
Y/n walked along Fives as he laid in the bed, he looked up at Y/n with a smile
Fives: Thanks for having my back
Y/n: Just add it to the tab
They laughed all the way to the shuttle but had to go there separate ways as Shaak Ti wanted Y/n up front while they travelled to Coruscant, the trip was long and quiet until the intercom made a sound
Clone Pilot. Please be advised we have arrived at Coruscant and will be touching down at our destination shortly.
Nala Se was with Fives the whole journey but as they started to come in for a landing she stood up and reached for a medical device and stuck it into FIves neck
Fives: No. Wait. No. What was that? What did you do?
Suddenly he started to feel dizzy and everything became hard to focus on
Fives: You drugged me.
Fives passed out from the injection as the shuttle came in for a landing, as they stepped off the shuttle the Chancellor's second was waiting outside for them
Second: Greetings, Master Jedi. The Chancellor is waiting inside.
Fives: Tup... The mission... AZI-3...
Y/n: Fives? What's wrong???
They walked inside the medical facility where Palpatine was waiting with a squad of clones, Palpatine smiled at there arrival
Palpatine: Master Shaak Ti, it is good to see you again, ahh young Skywalker, it's been a long time since I've last saw you, I hope everyone is going well
Y/n's stomach fell as he stood next to the Chancellor and he never could understand why
Palpatine: I trust you've kept this matter
extremely confidential.
Shaak Ti: Of course, Chancellor.
Palpatine: Ah, good. So this is the clone
who has caused so much alarm?
Fives: No... No, you drugged me. She...
Y/n: Drugged??
Palpatine: There, there, soldier, don't strain yourself.
Guards: Sir.
Palpatine: Guards, let him down, please. Now, Trooper, what brings you before me?
Fives was released from his restraints making him uneasy on his feet from whatever Nala Se drugged him with, Y/n stood next to him to help with his balance
Fives: The chips, Chancellor.
Palpatine: Chips?
Shaak Ti: These were removed from both clone troopers. Clone Trooper Fives and young Skywalker claims they are the cause of the problem.
Nala Se: Those are inhibitor chips, which are placed in clones to make them less aggressive and more compliant to orders. I tried to explain to this clone that they are placed in them for his own good, but he removed his chip nonetheless.
Fives: Our own good? This thing they put in us malfunctioned in Clone Trooper Tup. I removed his and analyzed it. There were signs of rapid decay. And we're positive
this has nothing to do with a virus?
Nala Se: No, we still do not know for sure
what caused Trooper Tup to kill. We only know that his chip failed. And now this clone has removed his own chip, which makes him a risk to himself and others.
Fives: I'm not at risk.
Y/n: Sir, they're covering something up,
I know it. If it's not them, then it's a Separatist plot.
Fives: They use this chip against us
to make us more violent than less. That's why Tup killed General Tiplar.
Palpatine: A Separatist plot from before the war even started? That seems unlikely, don't you agree, Master Shaak Ti?
Shaak Ti: It does, Chancellor. It seems very unlikely.
Nala Se: It is absolutely impossible. What we have here is a single malfunction to one clone's inhibitor chip caused by a virus,
Palpatine: Separatist plot or not. Perhaps it would be best if Clone Trooper Fives and I
discussed this without your presence.
Shaak Ti: Chancellor, I must object.
Palpatine: Please, Master Jedi, trust me. I will not be alone. I have my security here. I want this soldier to feel he is having a fair say in this matter.
Everyone including Y/n left the room and watched the door close as Fives and him looked eachother given the nod, all Y/n could do now was wait
Palpatine: Now, where were we?
Suddenly a dark feeling fell on Y/n and on instinct he activated his lightsabers causing everyone to look at him in shock then the sudden thudding and shouting from the chancellor caused everyone to run for the door
Palpatine: No! Let me go! Guards!
Y/n burst through the door seeing Fives holding a blaster at Palpatine, Y/n stood in confusion as Shaak Ti did a force push sending Fives hitting the chair behind him
Fives No! You!
Fives made a run for the door on the opposite side and wrestled with a clone guard before running down the stairs, Y/n and Shaak Ti quickly gave chase
Palpatine: He tried to kill me. It was so sudden. You were right, Doctor, he must have gone mad without his chip. You have done all you can, Doctor. I trust you will keep these safe.
Nala Se: Of course, Chancellor.
Y/n and Shaak Ti jumped the stairs seeing Fives stumble all over the place Y/n quickly caught up with his friend while Shaak Ti was still behind
Shaak Ti: Fives, stop!
Y/n: Fives!
Fives turned to Y/n and ran for the door while Y/n followed as they got close Shaak Ti shouted for the blast doors
Shaak Ti: Close the blast doors!
Y/n and Fives dived through the small gap that was left and landed outside the facility while for Shaak Ti she remained on the other side questioning Y/n's motives for helping Fives
Fives and Y/n are now on the run from the senate and the Jedi who are questioning everything about Y/n and his friend, Y/n has no idea what he heard or saw in the chancellors chambers but it has shaken him to the core and wasn't going to leave his friend and brother that has stood by him since his suspension, meanwhile Anakin and Rex were sent to investigate and arrest Fives while bringing Y/n back to the temple but while at the meeting Anakin felt somewhat conflicted about the situation
Anakin: I can't believe Fives would try
to assassinate the Chancellor, And now Y/n is helping him escape, it's Ahsoka all over again
Shaak Ti: The Kaminoans feel a virus corrupted the Clone's inhibitor chip, which has led to this behavior. ARC Trooper Fives feels he is the victim of a plot, Separatist or otherwise.
Windu: All security and clone forces on Coruscant have been ordered to join the manhunt.The Chancellor has been moved to his Senate quarters and the perimeter has been secured. However, Jedi involvement has not been requested.
Anakin: That's a little odd, isn't it?
Yoda: Hmm. Discover the truth we must.
Windu: If there is a plot involving the clones, we must get to the bottom of it. We will investigate quietly, undercover. We must make sure this clone is not killed.
Anakin: I'll handle this investigation. Fives was part of the 501st. If Rex and I find him, he'll trust us.
Shaak Ti: Be wary. Since he removed his inhibitor chip, Fives may no longer be the man you once knew.
Anakin: If that were true, Y/n would have put a stop to it immediately
Windu: I believe young Skywalker's judgment is heavily clouded, especially with his relationship with your former padawan it's likely he's making the same mistake
Anakin felt a huge wave of anger swell up inside him but chose to hide it for the meantime, meanwhile Y/n and Fives managed to make their way through the streets and came across a taxi, Fives walked into the taxi and then followed by Y/n who was confused as to why they were taking a taxi
Taxi: Hey, pal, where to?
Fives: Take us to 79's.
Taxi: The clone bar? Oh! You're a clone, eh?
Fives: Look, just shut up and drive.
Taxi: Okay, you got it.
Fives and Y/n remained quiet through the ride, Y/n was unsure what to say to Fives as he wasn't looking too good suddenly the driver turned his head looking at the two
Taxi: So, heading out for a little fun on the town, eh? I didn't know clones could have fun.
Y/n: There's a lot you don't know about clones.
Fives: No one knows.
Taxi: Ooh, very mysterious, eh? I like a good mystery.
Fives: Yeah? You ever hear the one about the people engineered to kill, engineered to kill their best friends, their leaders, and they don't even know it?
Taxi: I'm a cab driver, pal. I hear stories like that all the time.
Finally arriving at 79's the two stepped out of the taxi and walked towards the bar until the man shouted from the taxi
Taxi: Hey. You paying for this ride or what?
Fives: Ah, bill it to the Republic.
Suddenly a group of drunk clones arrived at heard what Fives had said
Clone: "Bill it to the Republic." Good one, brother.
Taxi: Lousy cheap clones!
The two walked towards the bar but Y/n looked at Fives with questions swimming inside his head that he had to ask
Y/n: Fives, what did you mean back there?
Fives: That's what those chips are Y/n, they are for you! The Jedi!
Y/n: What? I don't understand Fives, what did he tell you?
Fives walked into the bar without saying another word leaving Y/n confused but trusting his friend as they walked inside seeing the many clones that were partying
Clone: To the Republic!
Betty Droid: Can I get you fellas anything?
Clone: I think it's time for another round. Hey, bartender!
Clone: Hey, see you around, brother.
Y/n and Fives stood by the door watching as the many clones drank and partied, as Y/n was looking around he saw two familiar faces that he knew far too well
Y/n: Kix, Jesse.
The two see Kix walk into the restroom and quickly follow him inside as the clones continue to party around them
Clone Officer: To the 212th!
Clone: Down the hatch, boys! Ah!
Unknown to them Shocktroopers arrived looking for Fives and started to check every clone inside
Shocktrooper: Fan out and check IDs.
Once inside the restroom Fives walked up to the sink next to Kix trying not to scare him while Y/n remained a step behind
Fives: So, I guess the 501st is back on Coruscant.
Kix: Oh, yeah, we just got back
from Ringo Vinda. The strangest thing
happened out there.
Fives: Yeah, I know.
Kix turned to see Y/n and Fives standing next to him fearing what had happened to his friends after what had been said he had to ask
Kix: Y/n? Fives? Whoa! What's going on? They say you tried to assassinate the Chancellor! And that you're infected with that virus that killed Tup.
Fives: I don't have time to explain right now. All I can tell you is that I'm being framed. All of us, even the Jedi, are in grave danger.
Kix: But what can I do, Fives? How can I help?
Fives: I need to talk to Rex, or...
Y/n: Or my brother
Kix: Well, they've been tasked with
finding you both. Just turn yourself in
Fives: No! No, I'll never get to them. You don't understand. What I'm mixed up in,
it goes all the way to the top. The highest levels are involved in the conspiracy. I have to talk to General Skywalker and Rex directly, alone.
Kix: Look, I can contact Rex, but I can't
guarantee he'll bring the General.
Fives: Good, good, good.
Y/n: Thanks, Kix. I appreciate it, even I don't know whats going on but I know it's something not good.
Kix: No problem brother.
Fives: Here. Here are the coordinates. Just make sure he meets me there.
Fives typed in a set of coordinates for Kix to give to Anakin then quietly left the room with Y/n who waited for Fives to leave first
Kix: Right. Good luck, boys.
Shocktrooper: Identification, please. Have you seen this clone?
Clone: Uh... No, sir. I haven't seen him.
Shocktrooper: All right. Move along. Identification, please. All right, you guys check out. Move along.
They saw the shocktroopers walking about the bar and left quickly before they got spotted, once outside they found some speeders and left for the coordinates that Fives had given Kix, but again unknown to them a probe followed them and now Palpatine knew, meanwhile Anakin and Rex arrived at the location and walked inside the room, it was dark and very little light
Anakin: Well, these are the coordinates
Kix gave us, he said Y/n should be here
Rex: Let's hope Fives is inside as well
Anakin: I hope he knows what he's doing.
Anakin lit the room with his lightsaber while Rex had his pistols at the ready, as they walked in deeper Anakin called out
Anakin: Y/n? Fives? we're here. Come on out, we just want to talk to you.
Y/n: Anakin we're down here, Fives isn't looking to good
Y/n stepped out of the shadows but Fives remained hidden fearing for his life he called out
Fives: General Skywalker, thank you.
Thank you for trusting me. Have you come without troops?
Anakin: We have.
Fives: Put down your weapons, then.
Anakin: I don't think so, Fives.
Fives: Please, sir. Please, I'm unarmed.
Y/n: Please......
Y/n looked at his brothers in a plea for them to believe him, Anakin looked at Y/n and quickly believed him and put his lightsaber away and so did Rex with his pistols where he put them on a crate
Rex: All right, I'm putting my pistols down.
Anakin: What are we here for, Fives?
Fives stepped out of the shadows at last and was looking worse by the second
Fives: I need your help.
Anakin: I know you do. We know you're not well. It's been rough for you these past couple days.
Fives: I'm not crazy! Please. Please, just... Just hear what I have to say.
Y/n: He got drugged by Nala Se, I don't know why
Anakin nods
Anakin: We're here to help you, Fives. Just come with us. Let us take you back to the Temple.
Fives: No! I just need you to listen to me. Please.
All of a sudden Fives actives a ray shield that left Y/n confused as he turned to Fives
Y/n: Fives? Why? They are here to help you
Anakin: I'm not really sure we have any other choice.
Fives: I was framed because I know the truth. The truth about a plot, a massive deception!
Anakin: By whom?
Fives: Well, there's a sinister plot in the works against the Jedi. I have proof of it. I can prove that everything that I know is true beyond a shadow of a doubt!
Anakin: Show me the evidence.
Fives: The evidence is in here. It's in here. It's in all of us, every clone!
Anakin: What is it?
Fives: Organic chips, built into our genetic code to make us do whatever someone wants, even kill the Jedi. It's all in here!
Y/n: There's chips in all the clones that's what sent Tup mental
Anakin was having a hard time believing this and was starting to question Y/n's judgment once more while Rex was trying to understand what was going on
Anakin: Let's just get you some help first,
then we can review everything.
Rex: It'll be okay, Fives. We'll sort this out.
Fives: You don't believe me!
Fives started to panic Y/n quickly turned to Fives grabbing his shoulder trying to comfort him
Y/n: Of course they do, otherwise there would be troopers everywhere
Rex: Fives, we are listening to you. We only want to help.
Fives: How do I know you're not tricking me? How do I know it won't be a trap? The Chancellor will try to kill me! I promise you that!
Anakin: The Chancellor?
Fives: He's in on it! I don't know to what extent. But I know he orchestrated much of this. He told me in the medical bay!
Anakin: He told you? When you tried to assassinate him? You have gone too far, Fives. The Chancellor is incapable of what you claim.
Fives: He is! I swear to you, General.
You have no idea...
Y/n: Wait everyone calm down for a moment, Fives, what do you mean by the Chancellor?
Suddenly shocktroopers jumped from the shadows ready to kill
Clone: Stand down, soldier! Stand down!
Get on your knees!
Fives: No! No! No! Stay back!
Fives grabbed Rex's pistol from the side and aimed at the shocktroopers
Clone: Don't do it! Don't do it, soldier!
Fives: Get away from me!
Y/n started to panic as he tried to use the force to get rid of the troopers but nothing happened
Y/n: Fives, no!
Fives could see the trouble his friend was having and had only one option, he aimed at the troopers ready to fire until one opened fire on Fives and in a blink of an eye Fives was shot
Y/n: Fives!
Y/n fell to his knees grabbing Fives in his arms, Anakin shouted at the shocktroopers
Anakin: Fives! Get this ray shield off!
They blasted the ray shield generator quickly releasing Anakin and Rex, Rex quickly joined Y/n as Anakin stood over them, Y/n was shouting off the top of his lungs in fear and regret
Y/n: Fives!
Fives: Brother!
Rex: Call for help! We need a medic!
Fives grabbed Y/n's hand hoping to bring him some peace as they looked into each other's eyes, Y/n had tears falling from his face as Fives tried to speak
Fives: Y/n...
Y/n: Fives.
Fives: This... It's bigger than any of us... Than anything I could have imagined. I never meant to... I only wanted to do my duty.
Y/n: Brother... Fives, stay with me, Fives!Fives! Please! Don't leave me!
Fives: The mission... The nightmares... They're finally over.
Fives died in Y/n's arms finding peace in his arms feeling loved by his brother, Y/n couldn't let go as he tried to shake him awake as Rex held onto him trying to give him some comfort in this moment as they both lost a brother
Y/n: Fives? No, Fives... Come on, Fives. Don't go! Stay with me. Stay with me. Fives! Fives!Don't go. No!
Rex: Oh, no.
Rex continued to hold onto him as Y/n fell into Fives crying into his chest, Anakin stood over him feeling regret as to what was about to happen next
Y/n was returned to the temple under guard by strict orders by the council, He sat in his room alone once more until the door opened to reveal Anakin stepping towards him, Y/n shifted away facing the wall behind him tears falling down his face
Y/n: Go away, I have nothing to say to you......
Anakin: That's okay, I'll just speak, I'm sorry about Fives, I know you were close to him, but he was clearly suffering from whatever was happening to him
Y/n shot up from his barren bed filled with anger towards his brother and shouted at him
Y/n: There was nothing wrong with him!!! He was drugged and told something by Palpatine that had clearly set him off!!
Anakin: And instead of contacting me you did the same thing like with Ahsoka!! I thought we got past this, I thought you would have learned
Y/n: Yeah I've learned, I've learned you never trusted me, you have never trusted me!!!!
Anakin felt hurt but knew this was out of sadness and anger, he remained calm as he spoke again
Anakin: I do trust you, we trust you, I came with Rex because you were there asking for our help, I'm sorry it wasn't enough
Y/n: No, it wasn't, now another one of my brothers is dead, and the love of my life is gone, I have nothing left......
Anakin: That's not true, not by a long shot, you have me, Obi Wan, Padme, Rex, Jesse, Kix, Meetra, Kai, this should prove to you to never give up, the council may have you stuck in this room but that's only for now, dinner is on me when you get out
Anakin was about to step out of the door until he turned his head one last time looking at Y/n who seemed to have gathered himself a little from Anakin's talk
Anakin: Never change, you're going to make an amazing Jedi, probably the best, and I plan on seeing it to the end
The door closed, Anakin was right, he still had people he cared about and still fought for him, but it still felt horrible, losing Echo, then Ahsoka, now Fives, he was starting to fear what he could lose next and what Fives was saying about Palpatine, what did he really say to him, and how much was it real
