TWs: Blood/bleeding, glass/sharp objects, guns/shooting, death/death mention, and hospitals. Stay safe :)

Two resounding shots were fired within the room, one piercing the General's heart and one penetrating Tord's lower abdomen. They both fell to the ground; one dead, and one breathing.

Tord leaned against the wall, clutching his abdomen to keep the blood in.

"Tord!" A familiar voice called, sounding almost angelic to the Norsk, which was funny since he didn't believe in that stuff.

"Edd...?" Tord rasped, peering up at him through caramel bangs as Edd knelt beside him.

"You're an idiot." He chastised as he filed through his pockets, finding a handkerchief. He applied it to Tord's lower abdomen to stop the bleeding.

The ex-leader chuckled, "I know, but at least I won."

Edd held Tord's hands over the handkerchief, "Keep it there."

The taller then carefully scooped Tord up in his arms, trying not to move him around too much.

Tord winced at the burning sensation, growing light-headed from the blood loss.

"Hang on, Tord..." Edd muttered as he made his way out of the base.

The Lieutenant General went down with a bullet right between his eyes. Pat huffed as he dropped the gun next to his body.

He turned his attention to Pau, who was still sitting on the ground with broken glass riddling him. His gaze was cast down to his lap, hollow and empty.

"Pau." Pat knelt beside him, "Pau?"

The ruffled brunet's gaze was still blurry as he glanced at Pat, "He-e-y..."

His breathing was labored, and his eyes were hollow and empty. He was so exhausted that he could sleep just about anywhere.

He jolted as he felt his shoulder being pushed.

"Do not close your eyes," Pat spoke, squeezing Pau's hand, "You are not dying on me, Pau."

Pau frowned as his head swayed abit, "I feel so tired..."

"I know." Pat's voice cracked as he bit his lip.

Pau's hazy gaze fell on Klimov's body. Grasping Pat's hand, he rasped, "Can you- get something for me?"

"Anything."

"In Klimov's jacket- there's a hairpin in his front pocket..." Pat spoke slowly, "I need it."

Pat nodded, reluctant to let go of his hand. He moved over to the Lieutenant General's body, finding a snowdrop hairpin in his pocket. He returned to where Pau sat, taking hold of his hand again.

"Is this it?" Pat held the hairpin out to him.

Pau nodded, "Hold onto it for me."

As Pat stuffed it into his pocket, he heard the pace of footsteps down the hallway.

Clay sped into the room, nearly tripping over the doorway. Once he saw the two, he yelled, "Found them!"

A ravenet walked into the room, his eyes furrowing in concern when he saw the state Pau was in. He turned to Clay, "Get You and call 113."

"Aye-aye!" He saluted, running out of the room.

"That makes two in critical condition," Yan muttered as he knelt on the other side of Pau.

"What? Who else was injured?" Pat asked as he slowly wrapped one of Pau's arms around his neck.

"Tom was shot in the leg; it's not bad, but he is losing a lot of blood. Tord was shot in his lower abdomen." Yan wrapped Pau's other arm around his neck.

Pat's heart nearly stopped, "What!?"

"Calm down; panicking will get us nowhere." The Russian spoke firmly.

Pat nodded as the duo helped Pau up, the Nederlander forcing himself to keep his eyes open.

He was just so tired from exerting so much energy. The bright sunlight and the loud sirens weren't helping the massive headache he had either.

Before he knew it, his eyes were closed as the EMT put him on a stretcher and wheeled him off to the nearest hospital.

Matt hated hospital waiting rooms; they always smelled of alcohol and bleach. He frowned as he watched Pat pace around the room for the hundredth time. It was the only thing he could watch since his phone was dead.

He sighed as he clutched the Rage Demon file to his chest, glancing next to him to see how Edd was doing.

The taller looked like a deflated balloon. His hair was a mess, his eyes were void of life, and he was shaky. Matt also noticed redness in his eyes after he went to the bathroom- he hated crying in front of others. Edd didn't see crying as a weakness; he just wanted to be a support for everyone around him.

'Except himself.' The ginger thought.

Looking over at the others, You was messing with his bracelets, Yan had his arms crossed and tapped his foot while staring intently at the time, and Clay was stress-eating candy.

It seemed as if hours went by before they finally got an update.

"Uh- Red Army, correct?" The nurse asked, looking at her clipboard.

"Yes." Pat nodded as everyone gathered around the nurse.

"Oh, wow, there's a lot of you..." She muttered, stepping back. She read over her clipboard, "Uh, well- the good news is that they're all stable."

The group let out a sigh of relief.

"However, two of them are still in critical condition and can't be visited now. Your other friend, Tom, will be available for visitors in a few days." She explained, flipping through the pages on her clipboard.

Matt grinned at the last part, happy that he could see Tom so soon.

Pat thanked the nurse, then turned to the others, "Guess we're stuck in Norway for a bit."

Edd smiled, "It's okay; we could use the adventure anyway."

"Thanks for the help, guys," Edd told You, Yan, and Clay.

"Oh, it was no problem- Red gets into situations like this all the time." You said. Yan just nodded.

"I can just imagine..." Edd uttered, "And thanks for helping us find a place to rent for a few days."

"What were we gonna do, not help you guys find shelter for a bit?" You quirked his eyebrow.

"That's exactly what you would've done." Pat rolled his eyes as he inspected the rented room. Yan nodded at that statement.

"Wow, I'm hurt." You frowned as he looked at his friends.

After they left, Edd turned to Matt, eyeing the file he had.

"You've had that the whole time- what's in it?" He asked.

The ginger bit his lip, contemplating whether he should tell Edd or not. After all, it was Tom's secret.

"Don't make me tickle you, Matt," Edd warned. Matt's eyes widened.

Was this secret worth being tickled over?

'Naaaah!' Matt shrugged as he handed the file to his friend, 'I'm sure Tom won't mind.'

Edd gave a confused look at the title of the file, then opened it.

A Norwegian newscaster was speaking about the weather as usual before going into daily news of what was happening in Norway.

"Siste nytt! Generalen for den røde hæren ble skutt. Den røde hærens aktivitet i verden ser ut til å være avsluttet foreløpig. Ryktene spekulerer i at utenforstående kan ha noe med generalens plutselige død å gjøre. Alt vi kan gjøre nå er å håpe at Black Army ikke vil være på dørstokken når som helst snart. Og med det-"

"Translation?" A voice spoke to his AI as he was upgrading his computer.

"The Red Army's General was shot, causing them to stop all activity." A female AI spoke back to him.

The man stopped what he was doing, "What?"

"The Red Army's General was shot, cau-"

"I know what you said, C." He cut her off. He stood from his office chair, "'Bout time Karma caught up to him... cane?"

"Your cane is to the right of you." The AI spoke in his ears.

He carefully grabbed the Victorian-style cane, then grabbed his phone, heading to the outskirts of where he lived.

His uranium blue eyes looked ahead as he listened in case someone followed him, then got out his phone, dialing a number.

"Hello?" A tired British voice answered.

"It's been a while, Larry." He smiled.
