Devangini was sitting on the floor, leaning her head against her bed, while staring blankly at the walls. Suddenly there was a thud sound and she looked towards her balcony immediately to find Rishabh standing there.
"Yeh niche itna peheredaar laga ke kiyu rakha hain? Aur tu aayi kiyu nahi shaadi pe aaj?"he asked while walking towards her and she stood up slowly while asking,"tum yaha kiyu aaye?"
"Kiyuki tu waha nahi aayi. Subha se na koi text na koi call, na kuch. Tabiyat thik hain na teri?"
Devangini turned away saying,"haan main thik hoon. Aur itni se baat ke liye tum ghar tak chale aaye aise? Yeh shareefo ka ghar hain, Shera. Criminals ka nahi."
Rishabh made her turn towards him and said,"kya bol rahi hain tu? Aur itne saare police protection kyu hain tere ghar pe?"he narrowed his eyes and added,"sach sach bata Gini, tere Bhai aur Papa ko humare rishte ke baarein mein sab kuch pata chal gaya hain kya?"
"Agar chal gaya bhi ho toh kya? Criminal ho tum, tumse mujhe protect karne ke liye voh log step le hi sakte hain. Aur vaise bhi, unhe kuch...kuch nahi malum. In fact, zaroorat bhi nahi hain. Maine....maine soch liya hain ki main...ki main tumhare saath koi relation nahi rakhungi,"Devangini said, trying to sound harsh.
"Yeh tera final decision hain? Meri taraf dekh aur bol yahi tere khudka decision hain,"Rishabh said in a hurt tone.
Devangini replied,"Rishabh, mujhe tumse koi baat nahi karni. Tum please jao yaha se. Bhaiya ki shaadi hain aur bohot saare kaam hain mujhe. Bohot saari plannings karni hain."
"Wah tera Bhai khud shaadi kar raha hain aur meri shaadi pe taang arah raha hain,"Rishabh said and made her look at him and added,"tell me the truth Gini. Tell me you really want me to go away!"
Devangini told him sternly while her eyes got teary,"yes I want you to go. Chale jao...humesha ke liye. Yaha se, aur mere life se bhi."
Rishabh left her and took a step backwards while saying,"you don't want this. There's something behind what you're saying. Yeh teri dil ki baat nahi hain. Thik hain. Main jaata hu but agar mujhe pata chala your brother is responsible for all this I'll kill him."
"Yahi problem hain tum mardo ki. Tumlogon ko bass khudse pyaar hain. Bass khudki parhi hain. Kisi aur ki zindegi ki koi ahemiyat nahi hain tumlogon ke liye. Aur tum...tum toh....once a criminal always a criminal,"Devangini said before turning away.
Rishabh looked at her with hurt eyes and said,"you loved this criminal before then what happened suddenly Gini?"
"I have changed my mind. NOW LEAVE!"Devangini lied with much difficulty.
Rishabh got startled and said,"o..okay fine! I'll leave and I'll never come in your way again. Goodbye Miss. Devangini Rajawat. Just so you know I love you and only you, and I'll continue to do so till my last breath."
He looked at her once and went out through the balcony and then came out of their house's territory while wiping his tears.
As soon as Rishabh went away, Devangini rushed to the window to see him going away. Her heart ached seeing him go away as probably it was their last meet.
"I had no other way, Rishabh. Agar main tumhe aise hurt na karti toh tum kabhi mujhe chhorke nahi jaatey, and that would have caused your death. Papa yah Bhai, koi na koi maar hi dete tumhe. They don't value you, but I do. Your life is important for me, more than our love. I am sorry,"Devangini said while sitting beside the balcony's railing and cried.

"Ritika ke jaane se ghar kitna khaali khaali lag raha hain na Virat?"Anushka said while keeping her jewellery in their respective boxes.
Virat sighed and replied,"haan, bohot zyaada. Accha, Rohit ko ghar jamai bana ke rakh saktey hain na apan log? Uskey mama maami ko bhi utha layenge yaha. Bass, humari behen bhi yahi rahegi phir."
"Pagal ho tum? Aisa koi karta hain bhala? Voh bhi tab jab unke paas khudka ghar wagera sab kuch hain."
"Haan voh bhi hain. Koi baat nahi, hain toh isi sheher mein. Miltey rahenge. Bass khush rahe voh waha."
"Rahegi, Rohit accha ladka hain."
"Areh chun ke kaun laaya hain bhai,"Virat said while pulling his collar.
"Humari Vamika jab badi ho jayegi tab uskey liye bhi aisa hi accha ladka dhund laana."
"Kaun ladka? Kaisa ladka? Shaadi hi nahi karani mujhe apni beti ki."
"Kya bakwas kar rahe ho!"Anushka said with a frown.
"Areh sachmein. Agar karwai bhi toh ghar jamai dhund launga."
"Kya tum ghar jamai lekar parhe ho. Jisko dekho ghar jamai banane ke chakkar mein ho. Tum khud bhi banke dekho kabhi kabar, main apne maayke mein rehe loon ek doh saal isi bahane."
"Tum mere bagair bhi jaa sakti ho ek doh saal ke liye."
"Kya matlab?"
"Nahi matlab, baby tum jaaya karo kabhi kabar maayke lambe dino ke liye. Meri full permission hain."
"Haan haan taaki tum yaha apni mann ki karte raho aur apne Aai ki haath ki ghee, tel aur masaley waley khaaney ka maza lete raho. Hain na? Isiliye mujhe bhagane ke chakkar mein reheto ho tum."
"Areh aise kaise? Mujhe toh tumhare haath ke healthy khaaney behadh pasand hain."
"Accha? Toh last Saturday ko oats ki khichdi kaisi lagi thi tumhe?"Anushka asked narrowing her eyes and he said,"superb, out of the world. Master Chef se bhi nahi bann payega itna accha khichdi."
"Vee, maine toh khichdi hi nahi banai thi ussdin,"Anushka said with a huff.
"Areh kabhi toh banai thi, tabka swaad hi yaad hain mujhe."
"Bahane chhoro aur yaha aao, mere blouse ka thread phass gaya hain. Help."
Virat came and started helping her with the threads of her blouse while saying,"yeh accha hain tum aurton ka. Kabhi blouse ka nada phasa leti ho, kabhi kisi aur ko phasa deti ho, toh kabhi khud phas jaati ho. Aur jab bhi phasney phasaney ke mamla ho jaata hain tab hum bholebhale mard yaad aatey hain help ke liye."
"Baaki mardo ka pata nahi par tum toh bholebhale bilkul bhi nahi ho mere patidev."
"Voh sab toh thik hain par yeh baaki ke mard kaun hain jinhe tum itne acche se jaanti ho?"
"Offh! Ek din mein itna bakwas kar kaise lete ho tum?"
"Tum dinbhar daant ti raho yeh sahi hain. Maine thodi bakwas karli toh galat?"
Anushka turned towards him and pulled his cheeks saying,"awlee, Cheeku gussa hogaya?"
"Haan bohot. Kuch karo abb aur manao. Cheeku demands manana from his wife."
"Thik hain, kal main tumhare liye kuch special banaungi khaaney mein."
"Kahi Quinoa Salad with karela toh nahi banaogi na?"
"Nahi baba, Tofu Curry aur saath mein Soya Chaap."
"Yeh toh tum best banati ho. Haan haan bana dena bana dena,"Virat said excitedly, making her chuckle and think,"criminal ho yah jo bhi ho, mera pati anokha hain."

"Ritika ko yaad kar rahe ho aap?"Sakshi bhabi asked while sitting beside Mahi Bhai, who said,"haan, ek lauti behen hain, yaad toh ayegi hi. Par mujhe bohot khushi hain iss baat ki ki usey itna accha jeevan saathi mil gayi."
"Haan voh toh hain. Accha abb humare Shera ka bhi soch lena chahiye. Usney bhi toh acche khandaan ki ladki pasand karli hain. Shaadi karwa denge toh zimmedar bann jayega,"Sakshi bhabi said.
"Te zau dya na Sakshi, mulga lahan ahe,(let it go Sakshi, he is a kid)abhi kya zaroorat hain zimmedari lene ki? Haan shaadi karna chahata hain toh karwa denge, unn policewalo ko urah denge zaroorat padhi toh. Par abhi yeh ghar sansaar ka baatein Shera par daalney ki zaroorat nahi hain. Maze lene dena chahiye apne bayko ke saath."
"Nahi, kabtak aise baccha banake rakhenge aaplog usey? Shera bada hogaya hain. Aur vaise bhi, voh ladki acchi hain. Usey yeh sab kaam se dur rakhegi."
"Aisa toh honeh se raha. Vaise bhi, Aai ke rehete Shera pe uss ladki ka poori tarha haq jama paana mushkil hoga."
"Jo bhi ho, mujhe nahi lagta issbar Aai Saheb kuch kar payengi. Shera pyaar jo karta hain Devangini se."
"Areh tum toh aise bol rahi ho jaise hum tum se pyaar hi nahi karte hain,"Mahi Bhai said, holding her chin and she made a face and said,"huh! Jaanti hoon main kitna pyaar hain aapko. Kareeb doh saal pehele mujhe ghumane le gaye theh bahaar."
"Accha ji toh yeh baat hain. Thik hain, issbar Ziva ke vacation pe hum ghum ayenge kahi se."
"Sachmein? Sachmein ghumne jayenge?"
"Haan bilkul jayenge. Humari bayko kuch maange aur hum na deh aisa kabhi huya hain?"
"Haan huya hain na. Yeh sab kaala dhanda chhorne ko kaha tha, nahi chhora aapne,"Sakshi bhabi replied making him frown and say,"areh kaha ki baat kaha jodh deti ho tum. Gazab karti ho."
Just then Ziva came to their room and said,"pata hain, Chachu rotey huye room mein gaye abhi abhi."
"Kaun? Shera?"Mahi Bhai asked and she nodded, and he added,"koi baat nahi hain Zivu, tum idhar aao, voh Bua apne sasural chali gayi na isiliye roh raha hoga usey yaad karke."
"Vidaai ke turant baad chala gaya tha kahi voh. Kuch huya toh nahi hoga na?"Sakshi bhabi asked.
"Areh kya hoga? Ritika ke liye hi ro raha hain. Dekha, kaha na maine baccha hain abhi bhi,"Mahi Bhai said while Sakshi bhabi gave an unsure nod in reply.

It was the next morning of the wedding and Ritika was getting ready after taking a shower.
She wore a saree as it was her first day in her new home and wore light jewelleries to go with it.
She was applying sindur on her forehead when Rohit embraced her from behind and kissed on her cheeks saying, "good morning!"
"Good morning!" she said and blushed while Rohit said, "you look so beautiful when you blush."
Ritika smiled then pushed him lightly and said, "I need to get ready."
"Haan toh ho ready tum. Maine kaha roka hain," Rohit said as he held her tighter by her waist.
"Nahi choriye. Aap bhi uth hi gaye ho toh fresh ho jao. Hospital toh nahi jaana apko? Aur apki behen ki shaadi hain. Kitna kaam hai ghar pe!" Ritika said while removing herself from his grip.
Rohit said with a frown, "yaar pehle hi din se tum toh full on Biwi mode pe agayi. Thode din toh romance womance karte hain phir chalana hukum!"
"Nahi. Tushi ki shaadi tak main hukum hi chalaungi aap pe. Meri khudki koi behen nahi hain parr aab Tushi hain toh uski shaadi bohot acche se karwani hain mujhe. Main soch rahi thi aaj sham ko jaake kuch gehne kharid laayu uske liye," Ritika said.
"Yes obviously tum hi toh karogi sab kuch. Ek lauti Bhabhi jo ho tum uski. Lekin sirf apne nanad ka sochogi toh kaise hoga? Mere bare mein bhi toh sochna padega na tumhe!" Rohit huffed at her.
Ritika chuckled and said while pulling his cheeks, "apki toh sochungi hi. Apke sath toh puri zindagi rahungi main. Lekin Tushi ko bhi toh uska dream wedding dena hamara hi farz haina."
Rohit smiled and hugged her at once and said, "you know I feel so lucky to have you as my life partner. After you came everything in my life started falling in place. I feel like you're my lucky charm!"
Ritika smiled while hugging him back and said, "I'm the lucky one Rohit. I never thought I will get such a understanding and caring partner like you but here you are."
Rohit placed a kiss on her forehead and said, "I love you!"
Ritika smiled and said, "I love you too!" before they heard a knock on their door and Ritika went to open the door and found Tushika standing there.
She smiled at Ritika and said, " areh wah Bhabhi aap toh taiyar bhi hogayi. Niche chaliye phir Maami bula rahi thi. Voh chula pujan ka rasam haina toh isliye.."
"Haan main ati hu abhi.." Ritika said while Tushika peeked into the room and she added, "kuch aur kehna hain kya?"
"Nahi voh Bhabhi..Bhaiya uth gaye?" Tushika asked and Ritika nodded saying, "haan bulayu unko?"
"Nahi nahi..baas yahi puchna tha..ki ..Aap dono ko raat ko neend toh ayi na thik se?" Tushika asked in a slightly louder tone so that Rohit can also hear her and he said from inside the room, "bhag yaha se Tushi. Nahi toh bohot maar khayegi tu I swear!"
"Ohh accha. Mujhe apna jawab mil gaya. Aap niche aao haan main chalti hoon," Tushika giggled and ran away as Ritika chuckled while following her.
