ashton was laughing at chris and matt's comments. they seemed genuinely disappointed that it "wasn't" ashton who went on a date with nick. when nick had originally posted, matt had called him immediately,
"are you sure you're okay?" he asked
"matt, i'm fine. nick can go on a date with anyone he wants, it's not a big deal" ashton replied
"i thought you and nick had something, you guys are so close" chris chimes in
"we're still close, he's still my best friend, but were not in a relationship so he can go on a date if he wants to. besides i have a date in a couple days with someone." ashton says, messing with his hair, "i do appreciate you guys checking in on me though. means a lot" ashton comments
"if you need anything-" matt starts, "and we mean anything-" chris cuts in, "you call us immediately." matt finishes
"of course. i gotta go film, but i'll call you guys later okay" ashton says
"we're looking forward to it" chris and matt reply before ending the call
nick had texted him an hour later
