This isn't a request. Just something I came up with in my head. I wanted to write this before I forgot the idea. I basically got on AO today, and my friend guided me to Arkusius Keep (I didn't discover the island yet. I yet have to explore the sea more). So, because of the events of today, I decided I should write this.
I also admit that I took a bit of inspiration from a fellow writer.
Also, I headcanon that when the player gets the insanity effect, their eyes start to glow purple.

"This...is where my home once used to be." spoke Neviro, as the group reached an island. It was...unusual. Something dark was lurking around. (Y/n) could feel it. "Hey, guys. Do you...also feel uneasy?" asked the (y/b), narrowing their eyes slightly.
Iris looked at them in confusion "I mean, besides the darker sky, the dead trees and destroyed buildings, there's nothing to feel uneasy about. Plus, we have each other. Nothing is gonna happen."
"I guess you're right..." trailed off the (y/m) user.
Eventually, they all docked at the nearby, well, dock. The group began to search around. The ground felt like dead grass combined with mud in one, while the destroyed buildings of what seemed to once be towers and the dead trees gave off an eerie feeling. It felt...like they weren't supposed to be here.
(Y/n) decided to explore a little further from the group, their gaze moving about. Up until they stopped. Their gaze moved to the water. Funny enough, someone was there. Just... floating on top of the water.
The (s/c) person couldn't help but slightly gasp. Someone else was here...and they needed help! They soon began to sprint, ready to dive in the deep water. That was, until Morden suddenly appeared out of nowhere, pulling them back.
"(Y/n), what are you doing?!" hissed the black haired man at the (h/c) head, pulling himself and his companion away from the edge of the stoney platform. "Someone is there! I have to-" "What are you talking about? Nobody is there!"
Soon enough, (Y/n) looked back at the person, only to be surprised by the fact that they suddenly disappeared. What...?
"What's going on?" came from the red head, who would approach the two, alongside Neviro. "(Y/n) was about to literally dive in the water." now the two looked confused, their gaze moving towards the person. "What? Why?" asked Neviro, crossing his arms.
"I swear, I saw someone there."
"There was nobody there."
"(Y/n), are you feeling alright?"
All the negations and questions made the (y/b) forcefully pull away from Morden. "You know what? Nevermind. Let's just keep looking around." dimissed the (h/c) haired person, walking further from the group once more.
Morden, Iris and Neviro all looked at each other with concern. "What was that about?" Iris would shrug.
Little did they know, that wouldn't be the first weird thing to happen.

The (y/b) was on top of a tower, gazing around like a lost puppy. They tried to look for any sign of life, but nothing was there. Just them and their teammates.
Or so they thought, until they heard voices overlapping on each other. Their head whipped around, trying to spot the source. "Hello?" they called out. Nobody was there.
Iris, who had been nearby, climbed up the tower, spotting (Y/n) looking around. "Hey, did something happen?" asked the read head, approaching their companion. "Did you hear someone else around?"
"Um... Besides you, Neviro, Morden and I, no. I didn't hear anyone else. Nor see anyone else." she crossed her arms, raising a brow. "Listen, if something's wrong, you can always talk to us."
"Nothing is wrong. You guys must have seen that person. And you're sure you didn't hear anyone else?" "(Y/n), maybe you need to re-" "I don't need rest." the two argued, before Iris sighed. "Alright. If you say so." The (y/b) climbed down the tower, leaving Iris alone. The girl scratched the back of her neck, her eyes narrowing slightly. Maybe she was starting to see things, too, but she swore that the (y/m) user's eyes were glowing a purple hue.
. . . . . . . . .
The group had reunited once again near a cave entrance. Inside, there were floating rocks, a purple mist emitting from under them. Morden and Iris were the first to climb up, preparing just in case there was someone up there, ready to attack them.
Neviro went second, ready to climb up the stone. (Y/n) was about to follow, until a piercing pain hit them. They hissed, the sudden feeling making them stumble, and fall on their side, clawing at the stone. Neviro looked down, gasping slightly. "(Y/n)!" he called out, getting down, rushing to their side.
The (y/b) rithed in agony, biting on their lower lip too hard, almost hard enough to draw blood. Iris and Morden would get down as well, looking in confusion and concern at their friend. "What happened to them?!" Morden spoke, kneeling down on his friend's other side.
"I don't know. They suddenly just..." he trailed off. Soon, the (e/c) eyed person would be reduced to just panting, finally getting up. "Hey, you alright, (Y/n)?" spoke Morden, helping them up. "Yeah.." "What was that about?"
"I don't know. I just suddenly felt this...sharp pain in my gut. As if someone just stabbed me or something." everyone looked with worry at their companion. "I'll just wait outside of here." soon, they left the cave.
Morden, Iris and Neviro all stood there, silent, looking at the entrance of the cavern, before Iris spoke up. "Okay, something is going on here. Something weird. Heck, did they display any of this behaviour before?"
Morden shook his head. "This is the first time they act like this. Even before we escaped the Order." "Maybe it's just me, but their eyes seem a little...different. Purple, even."
"You're not the only one Iris. I noticed, too." pipes in Neviro, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Do you think... perhaps this island has something to do with this?" wondered the red head out loud, tapping her chin in thought.
"Might be. Although, that leaves out one thing. Why aren't we affected?" also wondered Morden "Good question."
"I think maybe it's time we get out of here." Neviro spoke.

"(Y/n), c'mon, we're leaving this island." the mentioned companion's head perked up, looking at the three who stood in front of them. "Already?" "Yeah, I think we looked around enough, come on, let's go."
Soon enough, the team got back on the boat, (Y/n) walking towards the helm. They would turn the ship around, before sailing away. The group watched the person carefully, sighing in relief when they noticed their eyes were no longer purple. This made (Y/n) confused. "Why are you guys looking at me like that?"
"Oh, it's nothing.
