A DAY has passed since you and the crew arrived on the island, and just like what you expected the news coo flew over moonlight island carrying a new batch of newspapers. sets of printed papers were released from the claws of the news coo, the headline being crocodile being thrown into the depths of impel down just like what you told him few days ago. unfortunately, captain smoker and his partnew tashigi are the ones who were given the credit of bringing down the baroque works, crocodile's organization.
sitting recklessly on the thin railings on the balcony, legs crossed, a copy of the newspaper in hand as you read through every detail written on it. chuckling to yourself because crocodile finally got his sandy ass kicked by someone younger and smaller by him, that's what he get for not listening to you years ago when you tried to stop him from his schemes.
much to your disapointment not much were reported regarding the strawhats but that's alright, you knew right away he has the determination. but determination alone does not make someone stronger. there are still more challenges along his way, you acknowledge his presence but not yet his power.
"there you are cap, food is almost ready," kurose says opening the glass doors as he steps out to the balcony, "i see that you finally got the news. when are you gonna be wrong with those little predictions of yours?" sighing you stepped down from the railings and handed him the newspaper, "like i said everyday and always, it's not just little predictions. what a person done in the dark will always be revealed in the light, it may take years or decades but the truth will always prevail. it's in my blood."
it's in my blood. a saying you always mention to the crew or everyone you meet in every voyage. he kept quiet as you walked out of the room, the sound of your heels fading with your every step far away from him. he's been with you for years, decades even, yet he does not understand what you mean by that qoute.
if the truth comes to light. . . then why are you still hiding something from me?. . . from us?
it was around 6 in the evening when an unknown, or so they thought, ship anchored at the port of the island. the villagers were confused as ships rarely stop by, but was left in shock when it was the moby dick. whitebeard stepped down from the latter of his massive ship, with his sons assisting him of course. he and some of his sons, walked through the streets of alpas city, greeting all the residents who greeted them as well, all welcoming smiles.
it took them more or less half an hour to reach the center of the island, the plateau, where the mansion, the main headquarters of the midnight pirates is stationed. all whitebeard could do is curse to himself as to why does his daughter have to make one hell of stairs just for him to see her. it is legitimately one hell of steps to climb, more over a hundred.
and so finally he and his sons arrived at the top in one piece. a garden of various flowers and trees greeted them at the top, a refreshing few. and on the very center of the plateau lies the mansion.
reading a few more papers that are stacked in your desk, eyebrows knitted in frustration as you think, you're a pirate yet why do you ave paperwork?!?!?!?! sighing, you reached for you glass of wine only to raise a brow, the red wine was shaking, so is the light above you. is there a earthquake perhaps? no.
"captain!!!!" "[name]-sama!!" is there a raid?? why are they shouting?
even you haki didn't expect edward newgate to kick open the doors of your office. luckily it didn't break or else you'll have him pay the expenses. "ah there she is, isn't my daughter hardworking? gurararara!!"
"didn't i tell you to not come unannounced, oyaji?" he only laughed louder and entered the room, sitting on the couch, to think he even fit to sit on it. "my lady! it's been so long!" izou greeted, smiles almost reaching his ears as he legitimately ran towards you desk and grabbed you twirled you around the room. every time she sees you he does this yet you can't get use to it and is always caught of guard.
after a few turns he finally let you down, you're only just a few inches shorter than him yet he always make it look like you ten inches shorter than you were. "we just say each other few weeks ago though, izou." he shook his head no and replied, "a few weeks is already that long, my lady." you sighed and just let him be.
there is never a time when izou does not pick you up like a child and spins you around when he sees you, even though you're only a few inches shorter than him, picking you up is never a problem to him. he always does this yet you think you will never get used to it, if you were outside he had probably thrown you up like oopsie daisy. pulling yourself together after than one heck of a spin, you stared at the old man and his crew, he brought four of his sons namely; izou, marco, juzo, and haruta. five is not much of a company, but for the old man, with a height of his, you might need to transfer to the main hall to talk properly.
and so you did, currently all eight of you including yourself and two of your crew, lucari and kurose are now seated inside the main hall, a much bigger space for the yonko. food and drinks were even served, theo has a lot of time on his hand so he made more than what he expected. "sooo, what is the real reason why you're here, oyaji?" the old man kept quiet drinking the sake he asked earlier.
marco stepped forward and grabbed himself a cookie, "actually, [name], oyaji needs another check up- yoi," you raised a brow at him, "another? i see that it's getting worse. . . go on call fortuna." lucaria nodded and walked out of the room.
it was silent, tension was thick for the first time in years. the sound the drinks slushing around the glass were the only thing that resonates around the room. a few moments later, luca arrived with fortuna in tow.
while the yonko was being checked by your doctor, he spoke. "did you happen to see that stubborn boy on your way to pick up theo?" of course you knew who that stubborn boy is.you shock your head no.
"did not see a glimpse of him, theo never mentioned seeing him as well. i have no reports regarding his location either." you answered lowly taking another sip from your glass.
"the only interesting thing happened this week is regarding that strawhatted boy."
"gurarararara!" the old man laughed, looks like the check up is done, fortuna was now talking to marco regarding his father's health.
"i read the report regarding him aswell, another stubborn brat!"
"we're always stubborn in your vocabulary, aren't we oyaji?"
"gurararara! because you all are stubborn!"
