Rose's POV
I opened my eyes moments later in pure darkness. The only light was the one coming from the window outside. I looked around, wondering how it got so dark. It had been hours, not moments. I sat up in the bed, feeling nauseous. My head was throbbing and I could hear it in my eardrums. A migraine.
I searched around the side of the bed looking for the aspirin when I noticed something. Harry was gone.
I jumped up quickly and felt his side of the bed. All I felt were sheets. I looked around through the shadows, feeling my throat tighten. I started to freak out and my hands were starting to shake. Where did he go?
I jumped off the bed and sprinted to the door trying to find him. I got to the door when it almost hit me.
"Babe. What are doing up?" I turned my gaze to him then flew into his arms. My head was throbbing more now as I hugged him tightly.
"Where did you go? I was starting to get worried..." I said, holding my head against his shoulder. He picked me up bridal style and carried me back inside the dark room.
"Starting to?" He chuckled and placed me back on the bed. I pulled the covers up to my chin and watched him get in beside me.
"I went to the restroom, but I guess that took too long." He said wrapping his arm around me. I playfully hit him in the shoulder and smiled.
"That's not funny. I thought I lost you again."
Suddenly his smile fell. He laid back against the pillows, pulling me over to his side. I leaned against his chest, feeling the warmth of his breath over my neck.
"Rose? Can I ask you something?"
I looked up into his eyes, getting used to the familiar darkness. He stroked my shoulder lightly, keeping his eyes on me. I shook a little as the air hit me on my back and down my spine. He pulled the covers over me, not changing his gaze.
"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly. He kissed me on the cheek slowly then moved to my shoulder. I leaned into his arm and he whispered,
"What if that was me you saw in the accident?"
I felt a wave of shock wash over me as I thought about what he said. I wish I could say I didn't know what I would do, but that would be a lie. Because I do know what it would be like. It would be the end of my world if he died. I saw a flashback of the memory right before my eyes as I watched myself lying in the rain, crying. I couldn't stand to relive that memory. It was too painful.
"I'd probably give up. On everything...." I answered shakily. His eyes became relaxed and he leaned in again. I tilted my head for him to kiss, but he lifted my chin with his hand. I felt calm again as he placed his lips on top of mine.
He placed his hand on my cheek, caressing my jaw with his thumb. I held onto his hand and placed it over my waist. He pulled me closer to him and dropped his hand to my hip. I leaned in forcefully as he pulled me over on top of him. After several brief seconds, he began to deepen the kiss. I held onto his hand tightly, keeping his hand on my back. He pulled away slowly and wrapped his other hand over my back.
"I love you Rose..."
I gushed at his words. Even now I loved to hear them. I fell onto my back right next to him.
"I know." I responded. He kissed me one more time on the lips then turned over on his side facing me. "So no matter what, you know that I always love you, right?"
I looked at him through his eyes and grabbed his arm. He let me pull him towards me as I leaned into his ear and whispered... "Forever and always."
He smiled at me wide then rubbed his hand over my cheek. "Forever and always."

Harry's POV
I woke up the next morning feeling better than the last couple days. I leaned over to Rose who was still snoring beside me. I listened to her snores, taking in every aspect of it. It was 9:28 now and I had to leave for testing in 2 minutes.
I placed a hand on her shoulder and lightly shook her.
"Rose....Rose." Suddenly I heard a groan coming from her side of the bed.
"Harry! Leave me alone..." She answered tiredly. I decided I would have to take extreme measures.
I got up on my side of the bed and walked over to her side. I watched her turn around and face me from where I was standing. I put my arms under her, and in one fluid motion, lifted her from the bed.
She immediately woke up. "Harry! Put me down!" She yelled.
I walked her over to the couch at the end of the bed. "As you wish..." Carefully, I set her down on the small sofa.
"Harry! What are you doing?" She said in between laughs. I kept her on her seat, not letting go of her hips.
"Babe, I'm leaving for testing any minute now." She looked at the clock above the wall and crossed her arms.
"You know, you could've just told me." She said sarcastically.
I kissed the top of her nose and got back in bed. She remained in her seat, still keeping her arms crossed. A few seconds later, a nurse walked in.
"Alright Mr. Styles. Ready for testing?" I nodded at the nurse, then looked back at Rose.
"I'll be back in an hour."
She dropped her arms and came over to the bed. "I'll see you when you get back." She said, pecking my cheek.
I smiled one more time before the nurse came back with a wheelchair. I got up and sat down in it, holding onto the rails. I kicked my feet up on the rest and she wheeled me out of the room.
Rose's POV
I watched as the love of my life was wheeled out of the room for testing. I couldn't stop smiling after he left, thinking about him. He was definitely special...
I laid in place of him on the bed and grabbed the remote. After switching on the TV, I reclined back against the pillows and covered myself entirely with blankets.
I was so ready to leave that place. I was there so long, it felt like my second home. I tried to watch the TV when I felt my head start to throb again. I looked around, trying to find my aspirin.
I found it over on the tray on his side of the bed. I leaned in to grab it, then took it off the tray. I pulled out two pills and swallowed them together.
I was getting really bored just watching the screen. I didn't even know what was going on, just some weird channel. I flipped off the TV and rolled over on my side.
"This is going to be a long hour...."
Harry's POV
"Well, it looks like your temperature is regular. Your pulse is stable. Nothing looks broken. You should be able to go home by tomorrow at the most."
I looked up at the doctor who was now filing papers. "Are you sure? I can leave tomorrow?" I asked surprised.
She nodded and said, "Yep. Its not entirely impossible that you may or may not get to leave today. We just have to get a few results back and if it's good, you'll be gone within a few hours."
I opened my eyes wide and smiled. "Thank you, Pam." I said holding the door open. She turned around and nodded, then went back to her work.
I knew Pam because she was the one who took care of Rose. I closed the door behind me and broke into a full run towards the room. I can't wait to tell her...
I rounded the corner at the end of the hallway, then headed straight down the 4th floor corridor. I found room 413, and sprinted into the room.
"Rose! You'll never guess what happened?"
She sat up in the bed quickly, then ran over to me. I pulled her into my arms, picking her up off the ground.
We walked over to the bed and sat down at the end of it.
"What? What did the doctor say!?" She asked excitedly. I told her that I could leave by today, and she pulled me closer to her.
"Oh my gosh! That's great!" She beamed. I kissed her on the cheek then pulled her onto the bed. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I held onto her back. It was perfect....
I felt accomplished that I could make her happy for once. I thought about my decisions and decided its best to make her happy. To make her smile and laugh. To make her see the world different.
I wanted to make my last days with her memorable.....
