"Guys! I'm so sorry I was late. I promise it won't happen again!" I apologized in front of Kakashi and Minato, my hands clapped together in a prayer as I bowed at them.
As why I was late was simple. I had accidentally woken up an hour late from the excessive reading I did last night...now that I think about it I should have picked up something to eat while I was running.
"So where's Obito-kun?" I asked as I held my stomach, in an attempt to lower the sounds of the growling.
"Late as always..." Kakashi answered quickly as he fixed his mask a bit before closing his eyes in what seemed like annoyance. "I still wonder how he could be a ninja when he's always late..." He muttered under his breath, looking away as he leaned against the Hokage tower wall.
"Don't worry Kakashi, Rin. I'm sure Obito has a good reason at why he's late." Minato reassured us as he softly smiled at us. Kakashi merely looking at him while I was busy nodding. Knowing Obito, he's probably out helping an old lady...

It's been two hours...
TWO hours...
Obito...I'm a patient person but this...this is too much...
The sun was now high up in the blue sky, the rays hitting us as Minato went inside the tower to ask for a mission...probably a D-Rank as all Genins start with it. Although...
I wonder if that cat Tora is still alive...
"Minna!" I heard shouting as I saw Obito running towards us, a small smile on his face as he reached us. "Sorry I was late, I got stuck on the road of life." He merely said, using one of his excuses once again.
"You're a ninja already, so stop with the excuses and start getting here earlier." Kakashi sternly said as he had an angry look on his face, a finger pointed at Obito who 'Tch' at Kakashi.
"C-Calm down guys...Minato said he didn't want any fighting and arguing..." I told them as I attempted to stop anything that could have happened. I wonder what the Hokage was thinking when putting Obito and Kakashi together in the team...
"I've see you came Obito." Minato waved at him as he came out of the Hokage tower, holding a small file with the D-Rank stamp over it.. "Luckily you came right on time. We've been giving a few missions for today." He explained to us as he opened the file and looked at them all. "First one up is cleaning the trash from the river. Second is painting the fences of the orphanage, and lastly is catching someone's Kitty..."
"So...we're cleaning the river first...?" Obito asked as he remembered the last time he saw it.
"Yes Obito. We'll do it efficiently so that we have enough time to train after we've completed all these missions. Plus I'll treat you all to ramen." He raised an eyebrow as Obito and I brightened up at the thought of free food...and perhaps a chance to see Kakashi's face. Ever since we were little, we wondered what was under that mask...
And Kishi still didn't want to reveal it.
"Alright! We'll finish these missions in no time!"

As Minato said, our first mission was cleaning out the river. And let me tell you...it was not pretty.
"Ugh...who throws their clothes here!?" I asked as I had a item of clothing, drenched in river water, between my two fingers.
"The ones who throws their undergarments..." Obito added as he looked away from the pair of women underwear he was holding.
Placing the clothing in the trash bag, I closed it up as half the bag was filled with just clothing and garbage. Looking at my reflection in the river, I turned my eyes towards Kakashi, who wasn't complaining about the job and busy picking up anything and placing them in the bag he held. 'I bet he's complaining in his mind...' I thought as I squinted my eyes and tried to mind read what he was thinking.
Sadly I don't have any such ability.
"We're almost finished. Just a bit more and we'll go into our next mission." Minato told us as he was in the river as well, two bags full on one hand as his side of the river was finished.
Now I know why they call him The Yellow Flash...
He really is quick in his work!
"Should I help you all?"
"Yes please!"

"Ouch! My finger!" I exclaimed as I bit my lip and stared at my finger, where a small cut was seen and only a drop of blood was seen on it. 'Weeds...there extremely dangerous!' I thought as I sucked on my finger while everyone else was doing the same thing as I was.
"Hey Rin are you alright?" Obito asked as he was suddenly in front of me, crouching on the ground so that he can reach eye level with me.
"I'm fine." I answered him while pulling out my finger from my mouth. "Just a small cut. How about you you?"
"Hm? Oh I'm also good too!" Obito nodded rather quickly as he placed his hands behind his back. 'Easily I can tell when your lying...' I thought as I sweatdropped at his attempt.
"Obito-kun..."
"...fine..." He sighed as he moved his hands towards me, showing small cuts all around his hands.
"You shouldn't hide your cuts you know." I told him as I began to bandage it, not bothering to look up at him. "I'm watching you, got it?"
"Hmm-mmm.."
"Would you both cut it out. We're on a mission, there's no time for flirting."
"Gah!? When did you get here Bakakashi!?" Obito shouted as he pulled his hands out from my grasp, a blush on his face.
"I've been here all the time. Although I suppose a ninja like you can't sense anyone."
"Why I..."

'Come back here!' I thought as it was the afternoon. Currently, as I can tell, my team had split up to look for the cat that we were capturing.
And I had found it by pure luck.
"What's your destination Rin?" Minato asked through the earpiece as I was running through alleyways.
"I'm nearing the Weapon store near the Academy." I quickly answered as I turned right, entering the main street of Konoha as the cat was attempting to speed up.
"Ah! We're near then Rin-chan!"
"Would it kill you to lower your shouting?"
"Tch. You can't tell me what to do when you got a pole stuck right up your as-"
"Focus on the mission." I heard Minato as his voice sounded a bit nervous and...annoyed. "Alright we're on the street your at. Keep the cat running and we'll be able to catch it."
"Hai!" Running faster as the cat continued running away from me (strange as cats in my past life were drawn to me), I pumped Chakra into my legs to keep my legs from dying on me. 'Come on! I can't give up yet!' I thought to myself as I ran and ran...
Until I happened to bump into something silver.
Sadly this silver thing happened to be Kakashi, who was looking up at me with an annoyed look, while I looked down at him with a confused look.
"Weren't you..." I was asking before I was suddenly pushed off him by Kakashi. Landing on my butt, I looked up at him as I rubbed my back. Well then...what a fantastic way to treat women! Getting up, I looked towards everyone.
Minato looking at Obito, who was being attacked by the cat, and Kakashi...
Who was being the stoic self he was.
....out of all things, I wish I can just push to the ground and-
"Alright Team! Well done. I'd say we earned our pay for these three missions." Minato clapped his hands together, a smile on his face as the sun made his hair shinier. "Now then, seeing as we ran out of time for practice...I'll buy you all some-"
"Minato! Where are you, ttebane!?"
'Ah...Kushina...?' I thought as I noticed something red running towards us as Minato, for a split second had a face of fear, before turning around with his ever handsomely smile.
"A-Ah Kushina! It's nice seeing you here..."
'Yep...he's dead...goodbye sensei it was nice knowing you but we had a good run...' I thought as I looked at the horizon as the sun was setting. And for a moment...
I thought I saw someone wearing green spandex.
Must be the Naruto world messing with my head again.
