The rain is coming down hard as the group of friends runs through the alley to get a clear shot of Ward who is sitting in his truck across from the surf shop.
Pope has a camera that looks like it is from the 90s.
"Nice camera. Where'd you dig up that relic?" JJ asks sarcastically.
"First of all, I love my antique electronics. And second of all, this is a telephoto camera. It allows me to get a close image from far away." Pope informs them.
"That's actually a pretty good idea Pope. That will come in handy." Jo compliments.
"More like the land of the dorks." Kie teases.
Jo laughs.
"He may be lord of the dorks, but that dork is getting us the witness proof that we need." Jo defends.
"Shit there he is get down." JJ interrupts.
They duck down as Ward runs across the street with a duffel bag.
Pope raises up slowly so he can video record.
"There goes Gavin."
They watch as Ward and Gavin both run into the building.
"Shit! I'm losing him." Pope tells them in frustration.
"Hold on."
JJ jumps down and looks around.
Jo looks around, but it is hard to see when it is pouring down rain.
"Hey!" JJ whispers loudly to them.
"I found something come on."
The group follows JJ up a ladder onto a roof.
They are across the street from where Ward and Gavin are meeting.
The rain is still pouring and Jo can't really see anything.
JJ grabs a spare hat from his backpack and places it on her head.
"Do you see anything?" Kie asks Pope who is looking through the lens of the camera.
"Yea I see them both right now." Pope informs them.
"Ward just handed Gavin something. I think it's that duffel bag." Pope tells them.
Jo and JJ share a look.
"I think this is a payoff, you guys." JJ comments.
"Gavin doesn't look happy about something." Pope informs them.
"It looks like he's yelling at Ward." Pope states.
"Why?" Jo asks.
"I have no idea, but he sure looks mad." Pope says.
Jo glances up and sees quick movement coming from where Gavin and Ward are.
"Whoa!" Pope exclaims.
"What's going on?" Kie asks.
"They're fighting." Pope says.
"They're really going at it." JJ comments.
"Ward is kicking the shit out of Gavin." Pope informs.
"Why are they fighting?" JJ asks.
"I don't know." Pope answers.
"What is going on?" Kie asks.
"I'm trying to see." Pope states.
"Holy shit Ward has a gun." Pope states.
"I bet you that's the murder weapon." Jo says wiping the rain from her face.
They hear gunshots.
Jo gasps in surprise.
JJ grabs her arm and pulls her down over the side so they can't be seen.
Jo's wide eyes meet Kie's who looks like she's about to cry.
Jo reaches over and grabs her hand.
"No no no. This can't be happening." Kie cries into Jo's shoulder.
"Pope, please tell me you just got that." JJ says as Pope's hand is still on the camera pointing toward the construction site.
"Enough to put that asshole away for life." Pope confirms.
Pope is still sitting up recording.
"This is freaking crazy." Pope tells them.
They all lean back up to watch.
They watch as Ward shoots Gavin again.
He looks up in their direction.
They drop back down behind the siding.
"Oh shit! Do you think he saw us?" Jo asks worryingly.
"I don't think so. It doesn't look like he did." Pope tells her.
"Alright come on dude. Do you think you got enough?" JJ asks pulling Pope down.
"Yes, I have plenty." Pope says.
"Wait." He looks through the camera again.
"Ward is coming. I think he's looking for the gun." Pope says.
"Pope we gotta go." Jo says.
"I think the gun just went down the drain." Pope says looking at his friends.
"Hold on." Kie stands up quickly.
"We know what you did murderer!" She shouts loudly catching his attention.
"Murderer!"
Jo and JJ grab Kie and pull her down.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Jo hisses out.
"I don't care if he hears me! He's a murderer and so is his son!" Kie pushes Jo away from her.
"Yea well guess what he saw us now he's coming to murder us!" JJ exclaims.
"We gotta go!" Jo quickly runs for the ladder.
She starts to climb down with Pope behind her.
She slips on the last rail and falls.
She lets out a small yelp of pain.
"Jo?"
JJ loses focus on what he's doing and steps on Pope's hand.
"Ahh!"
Pope falls to the ground beside Jo.
"Shit! No!"
Pope picks up the broken camera.
"What happened?" JJ quickly asks coming to Jo.
He quickly helps her up.
"Why the hell did you step on my hand?" Pope asks angrily.
"I'm sorry! I heard Jo in pain!" JJ defends.
"Can you walk?" Kie asks.
Jo nods.
"I think my ankle is sprained. But I can run."
JJ helps Jo over the fence.
He clasps his hand over her mouth as Ward runs over to where they just were.
They watch through a small hole as he looks around then takes off.
Pope and Kie are already back at the car as JJ has Jo's arm over his shoulder for support as they make their way back to the car.
JJ opens the door and helps Jo in as he slides in beside her.
"What the hell was that?" Jo exclaims as he props her hurt foot on JJ's lap.
"Yea what the hell were they fighting over?" JJ asks.
"It was a gun. It had to have been the one Rafe used. He must have kept it." Pope informs them.
Kie quickly dials a number.
"Please pick up" She speaks into the phone.
"Who are you calling?" JJ demands to know.
"Who do you think?" Kie snips back.
"The cops??"
Pope's eyes go wide.
"Who else am I supposed to call?" Kie argues.
"Why the hell would you call the police?" JJ yells.
"You can't just call the police on Ward!" Jo joins in on the arguing.
"We can't just sit here! We need to go!" Jo yells.

They go back to the construction site where they meet with Shoupe and a couple of other deputies.
Jo is leaning on JJ and keeping weight off of her foot as Kie talks to them.
"Look, it was right here, and this is where that maniac claimed his next victim." Kie exclaims.
"How long ago did you say this happened?" Shoupe asks looking around the building.
"About forty-five minutes ago." JJ answers.
Shoupe writes in his notepad.
"So, what you guys are saying is that Ward Cameron just popped one off and shot him?" he asks the kids.
"Yes." Kie exclaims.
"Execution style? And was able to clean it all up in forty-five minutes." Shoupe says not believing them.
"We filmed it." Pope states.
Shoupe finally looks up from his notepad.
"You filmed it?" Shoupe asks surprisingly.
"Yes, but we can't show you because I fell off the ladder and hurt my ankle and it distracted JJ who stepped on Pope's hand who fell and broke the camera." Jo explains.
"This is a telephoto, and we needed to get long distance image, but I fell and broke it and now it's unusable, but we were there and we saw it. We're witnesses-"
"So the dog ate your homework?" Shoupe retorts.
Jo rolls her eyes.
"I know how this looks and sounds, but we're-" Shoupe cuts her off.
"No, I don't know what you kids expect me to do with this. You drag me out here in the middle of the night, for a whole lot of nothing-"
"It wasn't for nothing!" Kie argues.
"Except for some crazy story about how Ward Cameron is on a random killing spree!"
"We're not making this up!"
"This wasn't random Shoupe." Jo raises her voice from her spot beside JJ.
She looks like she is about to be sick.
"Gavin was Ward's pilot. He was there on the tarmac that day. Ward paid him off to keep quiet. But Gavin blackmailed Ward with the gun that Rafe used to kill Peterkin. They fought over something and Ward shot him." Jo explains calmly even though her ankle is throbbing in pain.
"Wait for a second, how the hell do you all know that?" Shoupe asks.
"Pope did this thing with his phone. He put it in his car-" Pope cuts Kie off.
"I heard their whole conversation." Pope explains.
"You wiretapped him?" Shoupe asks accusingly.
"Stop talking all of you! I've heard enough." He starts to walk away.
"Why can't you believe us?"
They start to follow Shoupe down the steps.
JJ stops and turns to see Jo slowly walking toward them.
"Go, I'll catch up." she tells him.
JJ nods and follows them down to continue to argue with Shoupe.
Jo slowly makes her way down the steps trying not to put too much weight on her sprained ankle.
By the time she makes it down the steps, Shoupe is leaving.
JJ looks angry as he turns to grab Jo and put her arm around his shoulder so she can walk easier.
"I told you this was gonna happen!" JJ starts to argue.
"Like you're the one who dropped the camera." JJ accuses Pope.
"It was your fault!" Kie argues with JJ.
He stops to glare at Kie and Jo unwraps her arm from him and moves away from them arguing.
She leans back against the wall.
"Guys shut up!" Jo complains.
"We're not done with this yet." Pope tells them.
He points towards the drain.
"We can still get the gun." he tells them.

The next morning, Jo slowly makes her way down the steps of her dad's house.
She grabs the first aid kit and slowly makes her way over to the couch.
She sits down and grabs an ace bandage.
She props her foot up on the coffee table and starts to wrap her ankle up.
Just as she finishes, her dad's office door opens and he walks out to see her.
"What happened to your ankle?" he asks as he bends down to check to make sure the bandage was on right.
"I slipped and fell last night in the rain." she lies.
He gives her a look.
"Was that before or after, you tried to spy on Ward and accuse him of murder?" he asks.
She freezes.
"How did you find out about that?" she asks.
"Vic called me and told me. You are this close to being grounded. I know that you miss John B, but harassing Ward isn't doing you any favors." he lectures.
"We're not harassing him Dad! Why won't you believe me? I've never lied to you before about anything important. I'm seventeen years old Dad. I deserve a little more credit than what you're giving me." she tells him angrily.
"I want you to listen to me well." he starts as he grabs a hold of her face to keep her attention.
"You and your friends need to give up on this idea that Ward is a bad guy and that he has the Royal Merchant gold. Nobody has been able to find the lost treasure for years. And I'm sorry, but a group of seventeen-year-olds didn't find any gold. Ward did not steal any gold from anyone. Here is the truth. Ward caught Sarah and John B in a compromising position after he laid down rules. John B didn't like what Ward had to say and attacked him. John B is unstable. He lost his father and it's troubling for any boy to go through. Now you need to get out of your little fantasy land and face the facts." Buzz practically lies to her.
Jo shakes her head in anger.
"Do you hear yourself Dad? None of what you just said made any sense."
She stands up and pushes past him.
"I don't know if Ward told you that story or if you're working together, but I know the truth. And it hurts that you don't believe me!" she argues.
"Why would I believe a seventeen-year-old delinquent? You run around with your friends all day! Don't think I don't know about the trespassing, and the gun, and the stealing! I know about all of it Joanna! And it has to stop now. Or I am gonna have no choice, but to send you to the mainland with relatives." he threatens.
Her eyes widen in shock.
"What? You can't do that! I am not leaving Outer Banks Dad." she argues.
"If you don't straighten up your act you are." he tells her.
He gets a phone call on his phone.
He looks at the caller ID.
"We will finish this later." he tells her before he walks back to his office and slams the door.
She angrily wipes the tears from her eyes.
She grabs her bag and storms out of the house.

Jo meets up with her friends on Grand Street.
"Are you okay?"
JJ is the first to notice that Jo doesn't look like herself.
"I just got in a fight with my dad this morning, but I'm alright." she tells him.
He pulls her into a hug.
"I hate seeing you upset." he whispers to her.
She feels her stomach flutter lightly at the comment.
"I'm okay Jay. I promise."
She plants a small kiss on his lips.
"So what are we doing over here?" She asks turning to a big long drain by the end of one of the docks.
JJ gives her a look saying that they will continue their conversation later.
"Okay so this is the north drain. The gun should have gotten washed into the gully. So if it got flushed out from this drain, it would have been pushed out to like-"
JJ points to all the trash that was gathered around the drain.
Jo makes a face knowing that it was going to be disgusting and Kie was gonna go on a rant.
"Oh my God, people who use plastic should be shot." Kie comments proving Jo's thought right.
"Personally, I love plastic. Use it every day. Love the stuff." JJ teases.
"Ok well hopefully, you recycle it and don't let it flush into the ocean." Kie argues back to him.
Jo gives them both amused looks.
"Ok you two cut it out. Jay, quit baiting her. You know how she is." Jo lectures.
"You know I thought you would say that, so I brought trash bags." Pope says pulling them out of his hoodie pocket.
Jo notices the small smile that Kie tries to hide.
"Did you just proactively protect the environment?" Kie asks sharing a look with Pope.
JJ and Jo share a look knowing that their two friends are having a moment.
"Maybe." Pope says with a small smirk.
"Do you want us to leave you two alone?" JJ teases.
"Shut up." Pope hisses as he throws the bags at JJ.
Jo grabs a bag and they start picking up the trash while looking for the gun.
They manage to bag everything up, but can't find the gun.
"Ok so that was fun." Jo states out of breath.
"Ok so it didn't get washed out that means its still in the drain." JJ says.
"Damn it!" Pope exclaims.
"Good thing I brought the crow." JJ says reaching into his bag.
"So how are we gonna do this? Like rock, paper, scissors?" Jo asks.
"No." JJ says shaking his head.
"Alphabetically?" Kie suggests.
The boys avoid eye contact as they pull the drain bars open.
"Nah." JJ says quickly.
"Ok so which one of you two is going?" Jo asks the boys.
"Okay so here is the thing, in the sewer there is this worm that you can get when you're down there. It gets in your blood, and then it has to come out your pecker." JJ tells them.
The girls share a look of disgust.
"So that's gonna be a hard pass for me." he finishes.
"Yea that's gonna be a no for me." Pope agrees with JJ.
"Okay we get it, you two are scared." Jo teases as she shares a laugh with Kie.
"I'm not scared." Pope denies.
"It's the whole pecker thing." JJ defends.
Jo nods her head dramatically acting like she believes them.
"You should have just led with that. You don't have to be scared. I'll do it." Kie tells them.
"Just be careful." Pope tells her as they lock eyes.
"Ok I'm gonna go find the manhole that connects to this drain. If you have to go all the way to the catch basin we can get it open you can just climb up the ladder instead of backtracking." Jo says.
"That would make things a little easier." JJ comments.
"I'll shout when I need you guys."
She tells them as she walks up toward the road.
As she tries to find the closest manhole, she freezes when she sees Rafe and Barry looking at the drain.
She knows that he is trying to get that gun back as well.
Before she gets the chance to turn around Rafe looks up and spots her.
She slowly starts making her way over to them.
"What are you doing here Rafe?" she asks.
Barry who is bending down and looking inside the drain, glances up at her.
"I thought you wanted me to stay away from you. So why are you coming over here?" He asks with an indifferent shrug.
She gives him a suspicious look.
Barry stands up and faces Jo with a threatening stance.
"Look who it is. Where is your boy at? I owe him a beating."
Barry takes a step closer to her and Rafe stands protectively in front of her.
"Don't touch her." Rafe commands.
Barry scoffs.
"Man she ain't even your girl anymore and you still defending the bitch. You a pussy whipped mother fucker."
Barry laughs and turns back to the drain.
"You didn't answer my question." Jo states.
Rafe smirks at her.
"You didn't answer mine either." he retorts back.
"I know what you're looking for." she tells him with a smirk.
He smirks back.
"Its the same thing you're also looking for. But I'm not gonna let you find it." he tells her.
Her face turns serious again.
"You can't keep doing this. The truth will come out eventually. And it'll be a lot easier for you if you tell the truth." she tells him.
"Why do you care about things being easier for me?" he asks her as he steps closer so that they're almost chest to chest.
She tries to not show the effect he has on her by just standing close to her.
"Because I-"
She stops hesitantly.
Rafe grabs her chin lightly and moves her face so she's looking at him.
"Because why?" he asks again.
"Because I still care. I've never stopped." she tells him truthfully.
He rubs her cheek with his thumb and leans down like he's gonna kiss her.
Before his lips can touch hers a noise sounding like a scream catches their attention.
They look in the direction of the small sewer drain by the water line.
Rafe gives her a look as he steps closer to the small drain.
"Rafe-"
Jo tries to get his attention.
Jo can hear Kie screaming about something being dead.
She knows Rafe can hear them talking about the gun.
He finally scoffs and turns his attention back to Jo.
"They're in the sewer." he states.
He points a finger at her.
"We're you trying to stall me?" Rafe asks angrily as he grabs onto her arms.
Her eyes widen.
"Rafe please-" he cuts her off.
"Was anything you just said to me the truth?" he demands to know.
"You're hurting me. Let go." She tells him firmly.
He sighs deeply and lets go of her arms.
He turns back to Barry.
"Flush them out." he demands.
Her eyes widen and she steps closer to them.
"No. Don't do that. You're gonna kill her!" Jo exclaims looking between Barry and Rafe.
"She's right, we flush that pipe, you're gonna kill the rat." Barry warns.
Rafe keeps his eye on Jo.
"Yeah. I know." he says in a firm sure tone.
Jo's eyes widen in shock.
"I am not letting you kill my best friend Rafe." she tells him.
"Listen to your girl man, the last thing you need is more dead bodies showing up around this bitch. You realize what you're doing if you do that? Not to mention that's your girl's friend. Do you really wanna hurt her like that?"
Barry tries to talk some sense into Rafe as he glances at Jo briefly.
Rafe steps threatening closer to Barry.
"If you wanna be a pussy, you can leave. I'm doing this for her." Rafe says pointing to Jo.
"You're gonna thank me when those pogues are out of the way so you can finally start thinking straight." he tells her.
Jo looks at him with disbelief.
"No, that's not it at all! You can't just go around trying to kill people Rafe!"
Jo tries to get him to look at her.'
"Do you not realize what the hell youre doing bro?" Barry asks him also trying to get him to see reason.
Rafe stares Barry dead in the eye.
"Get the hell out of my way." he states.
Barry looks to Jo who has a look of horror on her face.
"Alright then. Do what you want tough guy." Barry says moving away.
"You don't wanna be around for this, go get the truck." Rafe throws the keys to Barry.
Jo steps closer to Rafe and grabs onto his arm.
"Don't do this. Please Rafe-"
He pushes her back as he turns the wheel that unleashes the water.
Jo looks with wide eyes as the water starts spilling through the sewer onto the street.
"Kie!"
Jo shouts as she pushes away from Rafe.
She runs down the road.
"Kie!"
"I'm down here! Help!"
Jo finds Kie stuck right under the manhole cover.
"Please help! Where's the boys?" Kie shouts as the water keeps rising.
Jo pulls at the manhole cover.
"I can't open it!" Jo shouts.
"JJ! Pope! Help! Guys!" Jo shouts for them.
She looks up to see JJ and Pope running her way.
"Hurry!" Kie shouts as the water rises.
"Guys help!"
The three of them start pulling on the manhole cover.
"Jo! Pope! JJ! Hurry!" Kie freaks out.
The water starts to overflow covering Kie.
"Guys pull!"
They finally get the cover off and Jo reaches down and pulls Kie up.
Kie falls onto the ground and catches her breath.
"Holy shit." Jo exclaims as JJ reaches down to grab her hand to help her up.
She looks over his shoulder and spots Rafe watching them.
She shakes her head and glares at him.
He sends her a smirk back.
"What the fuck happened? Where did all that water come from?" Kie asks as she sits up.
Jo glances back at Rafe who is standing there waiting to see what she says.
She hesitates.
"I- I have no idea. I just saw the water and rushed to find you." she lies.
She glances back to Rafe who smirks at her before he takes off on his bike.
"You good Kie?" JJ asks.
"Never better." she tells them.
She reaches behind her and grabs something from the back of her pants.
"This wasn't what we were looking for, right?" She holds up the gun.
Jo's eyes widen.
"Holy shit! You did it!"
They all laugh as JJ pulls them all into a hug.
"Oh my God. This is it. We can clear John B now." Pope says.
"Let's go get this to Shoupe." Kie exclaims.
Jo smiles, but gets a pit in her stomach at the thought of Rafe getting in trouble.

They drive to the Sheriff's department and go right to Shoupe's office.
They drop the gun right on his desk.
"So you guys are telling me this is the firearm that Rafe Cameron killed Peterkin with?" Shoupe asks them.
Jo stays back by the door staying quiet.
"That's exactly what we're saying." Pope states.
"And that's the same firearm that Ward just used to kill Gavin." JJ finishes.
Shoupe glances at them.
"Where is the corpse?" he asks them.
"Didn't you look?" Kie asks.
"I checked the hospital. I went by his house. He was out." Shoupe tells them.
"He was out?"
"Of course he was 'cause he's dead!"
"Just because he's not in his damn house doesn't mean he's dead!" Shoupe argues with them.
Jo pushes off the wall and storms over to the desk beside Kie.
"Will you at least send the gun in for ballistics? If it doesn't come back as Ward's gun and doesn't have Rafe's fingerprints on it we will drop this whole thing." Jo states firmly.
"Or are you just gonna sit on your ass and wax that damn mustache? Is that even real?" JJ shouts.
Shoupe stands up from his seat.
Jo pushes JJ back.
"Shut the hell up right now, you're not helping!" Jo yells at him.
Shoupe walks over to his door and opens it.
"Awe did I hurt his feelings?" JJ continues to taunt.
"Shut up!" Jo and Pope shout at him at the same time.
"Get the hell out of my office. I have work to do." Shoupe states.
"Are you serious?!" "You guys are smelling up my office." Kie stands up with tears in her eyes.
"Did Ward bribe you? This doesn't make any sense. " She storms out.
"He ain't gonna do shit." JJ comments walking past Shoupe.
"Out!"
Pope and Jo are still standing in the office.
"We brought you the murder weapon. There is no logical reason why you can't send it in." Pope calmly states.
"Go with your friends Pope." Shoupe tells him calmly.
Pope shakes his head and walks out.
Jo stands in front of Shoupe.
"I dont know why you keep just brushing us off, but you have to do something. You know deep down that Ward isn't who he says he is. Rafe may have shot Peterkin, but Ward is the one we all have to worry about. So please do the right thing." She says to him before she walks out the door.

Jo unlocks and opens the front door.
All the lights are turned off except for her dad's office.
The door is open and she walks closer to the door.
She stands frozen when she sees her dad talking to Ward and Rafe.
Buzz spots her first and gives her his attention.
"Joanna good you're here. I can tell you now instead of leaving you a note."
She walks further into the room.
Her eyes connect with Rafe's who is intensely staring at her.
"What's going on?" she asks.
"I have a business trip tomorrow. I am going to the Bahamas with Ward. I'll be gone for a couple of days. I'll leave you plenty of money for food." he tells her.
She tries to keep her face emotionless as she glances at Ward briefly.
"Well be safe Dad. And have a good time." she tells him.
She turns and walks out of the office.
She hears the door close, but she tries to rush up the steps to her room.
She feels a hand on her arm and she's turned around by Rafe.
"What do you want Rafe?" she asks trying to pull out of his grasp.
He doesn't give her the chance to pull away as he pushes her against the wall.
"You could have told the pogues the truth about what I did to the sewer. Why didn't you?" he whispers in her ear as he glides the back of his fingers down her jaw.
"I'll tell you why. It's because you still love me. No matter if you're with that pogue or not deep down you'll always be mine and you know it."
His lips skim across her jaw.
"Stop." she begs as she pushes him away from her.
She glares at him.
"I may still have feelings for you Rafe, but I will never be with you again. You're not the same person I first fell in love with. I don't even recognize the person you are now. I could never be with someone who tries to kill my friends." she hisses at him.
His face becomes murderous as he slams his hands on either side of her against the wall.
She gasps in shock as he pushes his body against hers.
"You are mine. If you weren't then you wouldn't be standing here with your body against mine."
He grabs her face and slides his lips against hers.
She places her hands on his chest to push him away.
He doesn't budge and runs his hands down her sides.
Her arms wind up around his shoulders as he deepens the kiss.
"Rafe! We're leaving!."
Jo comes back to reality and pushes him away from her.
"This won't happen again Rafe. I am with JJ. I love him. I'm not breaking up with him for you. Not like this."
She pushes past him and makes her way to the safety of her room.
Once her door is shut behind her she slides down to the floor and pulls her legs up to her chest.
She just cheated on JJ and she hates herself for it.
She can't let it happen again.
JJ doesn't deserve that.

The next day, Buzz flies into the Bahamas with Ward and Rafe.
Ward leads them through the foyer of the grand house.
"Alright, Rafe, Buzz and I brought you here because we wanna let you in on something amazing." Ward tells his son.
Rafe looks between the two men with curiosity.
"What do you have the Hope Diamond in there?" Rafe jokes.
Ward and Buzz laugh.
"Something a lot better than the Hope Diamond."
Buzz states as Ward opens the vault door to reveal all of the gold pieces.
Rafe's jaw drops as he sees all the gold.
"Is that real?" he asks.
"Son, thats the most real thing there is." Ward tells him.
"How?" he asks.
"Well Buzz and I found it." Ward lies.
Rafe slowly gets a look of realization on his face.
"You found the Royal Merchant?" he asks.
"This is what this whole thing has been about." Ward tells him.
"So Joanna and her friends found the gold and you took it from them?" Rafe pieces together.
"Yes, they did find it first. But your dad and I have it now. So it's ours." Buzz tells him.
"What about Joanna? Does she know?" Rafe asks.
"My daughter doesn't know my involvement in this. And she's not gonna find out either." Buzz says as he gives Rafe a pointed look.
Rafe shakes his head.
"I can't not tell her. This affects her too and I've never lied to her before. I love her." Rafe tells Buzz.
"I understand that kid, and when the time is right you can tell her. But now isn't the time." Buzz states.
"Look, the truth of the matter is we were in a financial hole, and Buzz covered our bills for a while now. But we're not in a hole anymore and I can pay one of my oldest friends back for helping me." Ward tells Rafe.
"What am I looking at here?" Rafe asks them.
"Half a billion." Ward tells him.
"Holy shit!"
Rafe steps away and onto the balcony to shout out in joy.
Ward and Buzz watch him and laugh.
"How is this even possible?" Rafe asks.
"Listen, if it wasn't for you that day on the tarmac, we never would have been able to fly that plane out filled with the gold." Ward tells him.
Rafe straightens his whole posture at his father's words.
"I am going to do everything I can to make sure this gold stays with us." he tells the men.
Rafe then faces Buzz.
"I am going to take care of your daughter sir. I love her and I plan to spend the rest of my life with her." Rafe says to him.
"We'll talk about that when the time comes." Buzz tells him.
"Right now we have to worry about moving all of this gold. You help us move the gold, then we can talk about you and my daughter." Buzz tells him.

They load up the gold in containers.
Buzz calls a private escort service to meet at the house so they can safely move the gold.
Once they get it all loaded, Buzz jumps in the truck and heads straight to the airport where he plans to meet the convoy.
Buzz pulls up to the airport when he gets a call from Ward.
"What's wrong?" Buzz asks into the phone.
"Sarah-" He hears Ward speak.
"What are you saying?" he asks into the phone.
"Sarah is alive. She and John B stole the gold." Ward informs him.
"Shit!"
Buzz slams his fist into the steering wheel.
A look of realization appears on his face.
He realizes that his daughter knows that John B and Sarah are alive.
He lets out a humorless laugh.
He is gonna have a long talk with his daughter when he gets back.
