"Mari I am not going to school and that's final, you have a high fever, I can't leave you , " Taehyung said with stern voice, he was inside the servant quarter, mari was laying in her bed .
"B-but *𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩* if master got to know about it, he will punish you tae please go," She was trying to convince tae to not skip school because of her health .
"I know what he will do, you don't need to worry , I will stay here with you, " He said and without given any chance to mari for protest , he got up from the bed and went toward kitchen to take some cold water so that he can put wet stripes on her forehead.
Mari sighed , she doesn't want taehyung to suffer because of her but on the other side she was emotional too, because taehyung is ready to take any punishment for her .

When jungkook got to know that taehyung isn't coming, he got all pouty .
This is the first time older skipping school so, eating alone during lunch, feels weird to jungkook. It's lonely.
He also want to skip but bae-soo didn't agreed, because jungkook has a test in his class so for a scholarship student, skipping test is a big no-no.
At last jungkook with sulky expression went to school, today bae-soo dropped him from the bus.
It's not like both of them meet during school time other than lunch, which is only for half an hour, but for nerdy 9 year old kid lunch time is his fav now. He always feel giddiness whenever lunch bell went off, exited to meet elder but today when lunch time arrived.
He didn't showed same enthusiasm like he do daily, so with heavy steps and big pout on his lips, he dawdle himself toward their secret place.
He plopped down with a 𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘱 sound near tree, his head was hanging down seems like the reason was the weight of heavy pout present on his face, then, he slowly looked beside him where usually taehyung sat down.
He was looking with a glossy eyes, his eyes are complaining to the older and showing how angry he was is . then with a big 𝘩mph ! he looked away, opened his lunch box and nonchalantly started eating.
Silence.
Voice of turtles, leaves rustling, wind which blew against his ear and his chewing. These are the only voices resonating in his surrounding.
It's not like they talk during lunch, No. He don't think so they exchanged any words other than wishing each other morning and afternoon, well older didn't even did that, it's always younger who wishes and in reply got only nod from older.
He remembered last time older talked to him when he was getting bullied and second time when older was helping him with some doubt, but still eating with taehyung doesn't feel this much lonely which is feeling right now.
The silence is loud to jungkook. He sighed and took his last bite. He again looked towards taehyung's vacant place and frowned.
"Kookie is angry with you, " He mumbled grumpy , with puffed cheeks and big pout. tint pink hue present in his face and lips because of cool breeze.
After glaring at empty place for sometime, he smiled remembering the day when older talked with him, well not with words but with his eyes.

Younger's smile didn't fade a bit from his face after remembering these moments. Eyes we're stuck at the empty place , he softly touched the trunk of the tree where taehyung rest his head.
"Come back soon taetae, " Whispering to himself or rather praying that older got his message by magic, smiling one last time, he got up and left to his class.

On the other hand tae who was taking care of mari all day, didn't even had his lunch yet. It was 2:30 right now but he stayed glued to one place, mari even threatened him to go but in return she only got a look.
A blank face, so at last she got tired of convincing him and slept because of medicine effect. Nobody came to ask taehyung , weather he's hungry or not, it's not like other workers didn't care but because of mari, they never got worried about his eating schedule or other things.
They knows mari will take care of him so today it's totally slipped from their mind if young master had his lunch or not. Taehyung once again checked mari's fever , and let out a sighed of relief when it shows a normal body temperature.
He looked at the time and got up from the bed , now when he made sure mari is fine, he can eat his food. He is a type of person who doesn't like if he missed anything from his daily routine. Everything is fix for him, so skipping lunch means ruining his schedule.
So, he walked toward the kitchen. Seeing him workers stopped working, and glanced at each other because it's unusual for taehyung to enter inside the kitchen if mari is not present.
Without saying anything he walked toward the kitchen self where left over food was kept. Maids were confused as to why taehyung checking the food? and when he took out the plate and serve for himself, the maids eyes widened when they remembered about mari being sick.
"Young master, I will serve you please sit at the dining table, " A maid hurriedly made her way and stopped taehyung , and slowly took plate from his hand. The only person from maids and other workers doesn't afraid is taehyung. Because he never shouted at them for anything but it's not like he talked to anyone of them but still, better then his family.
"I will eat inside mari's room ", saying so taehyung moved a bit so that she can serve him but still didn't left. Other maids started to do their own work. He took a plate form her hand when she was done serving. As he was going to walk from here, she slowly started speaking.
" I-i am sorry umm actually mari is the one who always take care about your eating so i for-. "It's okay ", he left saying this because it doesn't matter to him. They work for his father not for him.
He again entered inside mari's room and sat down on the floor beside window. His back was resting against the wall, the plate was on his lap, he took a bite from his plate and frowned, the taste of food was different, probably because today mari didn't cooked for him.
He took a sip from his glass and again took a bite, his mind drifted to a certain someone, it's feel weird to him eating alone. He looked beside him where usually younger took place when they have their lunch together.
His frown slowly disappeared and a glint took a place in his eyes. Thinking about his lunch mate, or I can say his friend? He don't know yet but he's sure that younger is slowly making his own place in his heart.

Many questions started to rise inside his head, he never cared for anyone other than mari, but now his mind and heart both are restless. He came out of his thoughts when his hand couldn't find food from his plate, he curiosity looked at his plate and got surprised when he noticed, he already finished his food.
He shook his head and closed his eyes, resting his head on the wall. A small smile formed in his lips when younger face flashed in front of his eyes. His big shining eyes and smily face. Taehyung then and there made his mind that no matter what happened he will protect the younger at any cost, like his younger brother.
