The building ended up being a tavern that was filled with men, women, and children gathered around at unsymetrical circle tables in the room. We were immediately approached by a man who was sloshing back ale, spilling most of it on the floor. "Welcome beautiful ladies, would ya like some ale?"
All we wanted to do was sit down and maybe get some food.. " No thank you sir" we said politely as we walked past him going towards the bar. An older man stood behind the tavern counter pouring drinks and handing back some coins to a woman at the bar. "Hello, can I see one of your menus ?" I asked.. The man looked at me confused before replying "menu?" I almost laughed out loud at the way he said it, pronouncing each and every letter as he spoke it outwardly.
I didn't want to come off as rude so I just said the list of items you make. His eyes narrowed, I could feel the anger seeping off of the man like he might start yelling at me for being annoying.
