The past few days went on normally with not many problems, from what I heard Class B is doing well, everyone in Class C had retired but I doubt that, and Class D was a complete dysfunctional mess. It looked like in hindsight we won this exam not spending a single point, but that's not the truth.
The week had finally passed by and we were now on the beach lined up.
Class D was split boys from girls, looks like they had a lot of problems, Horikita wasn't looking too good.
Class C was nowhere to be found.
Class B looked enthusiastic the same with us.
"First off I want to congratulate all of you for making to the 7th day, after this your free to take a long rest. Now, over this past week, we, your teachers have closely watched your efforts in this special test, there were some students who took on the challenge head-on, there were some who devised schemes to tackle the test, many things have happened, but overall, the test
results were splendid, good work" He praised
"We will not accept any questions regarding the results, no exceptions. We would like you to accept the results you have been given, analyze them, and use them to help you for the next test" He added
Just then Ryuuen had emerged looking confident
People started to question wondering how he was still here
"Now then in last place is Class D with 0 points"
As expected they immediately got upset and started blaming one another
"In third place is Class A with 120 points"
"How!?"
"What happened!?"
A lot people started to question how we ended up in third, the answer is simple: Ryuuen outsmarted the other 3 leaders
"In second place is Class B with 140 points"
They looked a bit disappointed thinking that everything was going well for them
"In first place is Class C with 170 points"
"Kukuku! All of you stood no chance"
"What's the meaning of this Ryuuen!" Katsuragi said
"Nothing personal baldy, but you got tricked just liked all the other fools, now get out of the way losers!" He made his way back to the ship
Class A now had a total of 1,150 points, Class B with 850 points, Class C with 700 points, and Class D still with 0 points.
When we got back to the ship everyone in our class was now gathered In a hall, we were waiting for one more person
"How disappointing"
Here she is
She made her way to my side and wrapped around my arm
"Now then explain yourself Katsuragi-kun" She grinned smugly, she was enjoying this
"I apologize, losing the island exam was my fault, I had made a deal with Ryuuen that all of us owe him 10k points a month for the rest of the first year"
A lot of people started to grumble and show their dissatisfaction
"But I know better now, I won't let Ryuuen trick me again, so I'd like one more chance in the next possible exam"
He's very strong willed I'll give him that
"Wouldn't the leadership role move quicker if you just give it up right now? You won't let Ryuuen-kun trick you again? It's already happened once, what's stopping it from happening a second time. Do you plan on running Class A down into the dirt?" Arisu pressed him
"I'd like one more chance please, I've learned from my mistakes" He said
He started to gather some positivity from his followers
"Fine then, your funeral"
With that me and Arisu left with Hashimoto, Kamuro, and Kito following behind
I went back to my room to shower and get a clean set of clothes for the meeting later with Arisu.
I left to head to a restaurant where Arisu was having a meeting with the rest of her supporters to discuss various topics and future plans.
2 days had passed and things have been going smoothly so far, I've mostly been spending time with Arisu, sometimes we would just sit by the deck and just enjoy each other's company.
Right now I was just in my room reading when I got a text message saying to head to room in 4 hours, this must be the start of another exam.
It was time for the meeting and I headed for the room, when I entered there was Katsuragi, Nishikawa, and Matoba. Chabashira-sensei was here as well but she tensed up a bit when she saw me.
She then explained the new exam, it was called the zodiac exam. There are 12 groups and us 4 are one of the groups. There is a VIP in each of the groups and we have to find out who they are. There are 4 different outcomes for this exam, the best way was to find the other VIP's. We also have to protect our own VIP's as well.
She gave us a list of all the names in our group called dragon group. These groupings were no coincidence, there were important figures from each class in this group, Katsuragi, Kanzaki, Ryuuen, Hirata, and Horikita. Odd how Ichinose isn't here, but why was I placed here?
The meeting was now over but Chabashira-sensei was looking at me as if she wanted to say something, so while everyone was leaving I stayed behind.
"What do you want?" I asked
"I'll make it quick, please help Class D"
"No" I instantly replied and started to leave
"Please! I'll help you out in anyway in exchange, getting help from a teacher is very valuable"
"Why is it that your so interested in me? I'm just an average student"
"That's not true, you scored 50 in the entrance exam, you obviously manipulated your scores"
"It was a coincidence"
"I highly doubt that, so will you accept my deal?"
While she's not wrong, a teachers help is valuable, I could break some rules and she could just overlook it, however
"I have no use for that, I don't intend on getting involved in the first place, now I would appreciate it if you could stop trying to use me" I glared at her a little then turned to leave
After I left I headed to Arisu's room to discuss plans with her since she won't be participating in this exam. Katsuragi had texted everyone to go to a private room so he could tell us what he plans for this exam.
"Thank you all for coming, I called you all here so we could discuss how we approach this new exam" He said
"After the loss from the island exam, I figured that the best way to go about this exam is to not participate in it"
As expected from him, he's too defensive. This is the worst way to go about this exam. Not participating in this exam basically means we're sitting ducks waiting to be picked off.
"Are you sure about this? If we go about your plan we won't gain anything from it" Hashimoto questioned him
"I assure you this will work, after the loss from the island exam we can't afford to lose horribly again. So now we wont gain or lose from this exam, but we'll be able to pick things up come next exam, we still have 3 more years after all" He answered
Of course his followers started to support his plan, they're pretty mindless.
Once it was time for the meeting to start I headed to the designated room, once I entered a few eyes landed on me then looked away except for one, Horikita kept glaring at me. What did I do?
"Alright which one of you is the VIP? Tell me now or else I'll kick your ass" Ryuuen threatened
"We don't plan on participating" Katsuragi along with the other two moved to sit in the corner
"Aww are your feelings still hurt baldy?" Ryuuen picked at him
"Not at all, but I won't let you have your way in this exam" He replied
"You're really boring baldy, I'm pretty sure the little girl would be a better challenge than you, isn't that right Mr. Fiancé" He's targeting me now
"I guess" I said
"You're right about that Ayanokoji, she may be crippled but she's still tougher than that spineless baldy"
"Say what you want, I won't let you provoke me, Ayanokoji I suggest you move away" Katsuragi said
I looked at him then looked away
"No" I replied
"Kukuku! That's gotta hurt huh baldy!"
"Ryuuen stop with the insults already" Kanzaki said
"Oh you're here too, I almost forgot you existed" Ryuuen replied
It seemed like that pinched a nerve to Kanzaki
"Enough already Ryuuen-kun" Horikita said
"Aww I'm glad you care for me Suzune, but I think you should worry about your classmate instead, Mr. Pretty boy over there doesn't look too good"
He's right, Hirata looked miserable
"I couldn't care less" She replied
'Ouch'
The rest of the meeting went on with Ryuuen provoking and threatening everyone else, no progress had been made to find out the VIP.
I headed to a lounge area with Arisu to relax
"Does he really think that his plan will work?" Arisu said
"It seems so, looks like you'll be the official leader once we get back" I said
"It would have easier if he had just given up"
Three days went by and the exam was coming to an end, announcements had started going off until the final day when the results would be announced.
As it turns out we lost 150 points having all our VIP's figured out, Class B lost 50 points having one VIP figured out, Class C gaining 200 points guessing all three Class A and one Class D, Class D gained 50 points from guessing one Class B.
The standings were now Class A 1000 points, Class B 800 points, Class C 920 points becoming the new Class B, and Class D 50 points.
"Fufufu!" She couldn't stop laughing
"Looks like everything had planned out the way I thought it would"
"Of course it would, now then I wonder what I should do next to embarrass him even more"
