Sometimes I look in the mirror and wonder what happened to me.
Everyone always asks where the old me went
Where the happy little girl went.
Your little girl is dead.
Somewhere in time she went from happy all the time to not feeling anything.
Somewhere in time that little girl lost everything.
From going out to staying in all day.
From making friends with strangers to being exhausted around people.
From always texting first to not answering for hours.
From good dreams to nightmares.
From living to suffering.
From being scared to die to not caring.
From loving herself to hating everything about her.
From "therapist friend" to "leave me alone"
"Where's the person that I know?"
They've been gone for years.
You don't know me.
Because, somewhere in time, that little girl died.
