Season 2, episode 2
! Smut warning !

✦✧✦✧

"Ian is alive" Spencer said in disbelief as the door to the greenhouse continuously slammed shut.

"Did things just get incredibly worse?" Aria asked.

"I can't believe this" Sophie shook her head, "Ian is dead"

"No, zombies don't text" Hanna snapped, "Ian is alive somewhere"

"Spence?" Aria said to Spencer as the girl just stared at the phone screen in disbelief

"I need to get this phone back to Melissa before realises that it's gone"

"Okay you put it back and then what do we do?" Emily asked, stopping the girl from walking away.

"Do we call the cops?" Aria asked.

Sophie shook her head, "No, that has never worked out well for us in the past"

"Why is Ian texting Melissa?" Hanna asked.

"And why is she answering him?" Sophie added.

"Is she?" Emily asked, "I mean, we don't know how long this has been going on"

"Spencer look, you've got to find out what Ian told Melissa" Aria said, "you are the only person who can find out what he wants"

"And where he is" Emily added.

Something clattered on the roof above them, and the girls' heads all snapped up at the sound.

"We've got to get out of here" Spencer said, leading the girls out of the greenhouse and onto the road in front of Spencer and Sophie's houses.

"Let's finish this in the morning" Hanna shuddered, "okay? I'm cold, damp and scared. We'll talk at school?"

"We can't talk at school remember?" Sophie scoffed, "the five of us are supposed to have separate time"

"Doctors orders" Emily sighed.

"So, what are we supposed to do? Not talk to each other?" Hanna asked, "we have the same classes"

"We just have to play it cool" Spencer said.

The sound of banging got the girl's attention at they turned around to see Jason tossing stuff into a dumpster outside of the DiLaurentis house.

"It's Jason" Spencer breathed out.

"No shit" Sophie rolled her eyes.

"Did he move back?" Hanna asked Sophie.

"How am I supposed to know?" Sophie raised her eyebrows.

"Because you two are pretty close" Spencer rolled her eyes, "what is all that stuff?"

"That's all the stuff people left on the curb when Ali went missing" Aria said, "the tributes"

"Maya said her family kept all that stuff when they moved in. They didn't have the heart to throw it all out" Emily said.

"Apparently Jason has moved on" Spencer muttered as they watched Jason walk back towards the house.

"He just has his own way of dealing with things" Sophie defended.

"Why has he moved back into that house?" Hanna asked.

"Again, why would I know?"

✦✧✦✧

"What do you mean gone?" Sophie asked, turning to Emily as the girls stood in the lunch queue, pretending as if they didn't mean for this to happen.

"I mean gone" Emily sighed, "blank, zeroed out. Someone got in here and erased the whole drive"

"Who?"

"The real estate agent has been bringing people in all the time. I mean, my laptop has just been sitting on my desk" Emily explained.

"I can't believe A managed to sneak into your house and erase the whole drive" Spencer said, "do you still have your copy Soph?"

"Last time I checked yeah" Sophie nodded, "I'll check when I get home"

"Has Ian sent Melissa anymore messages?" Hanna whispered to Spencer.

"I don't know" Spencer shrugged, "she's not leaving her phone sitting around"

"What about Jason?" Emily turned to Sophie, "why is he back? And what is he doing back in that house?"

"I don't know I've been trying to avoid him" Sophie said, "and maybe he's just looking for closure"

"Okay new rule" Hanna said firmly, "no one can say the word closure. Ever"

"Doctor Sullivan says it all the time" Emily said.

"I rest my case" Hanna said.

They walked away in opposite directions and when Aria sat down, Hanna placed her tray opposite her.

"Han?" Aria said.

"What?"

"I don't think we should sit together" Spencer said.

"But we always sit together?" Hanna replied, still confused.

"We need to make it look like we're going along with this" Spencer informed her.

"Looking like we are doing it is the same thing as doing is" Hanna argued, "it means we are wrong. We are not wrong, we are right"

"Are we?" Aria asked, "we don't know what happened"

"How can we be sure we are even right?" Emily added.

"That's even more of a reason to stick together" Hanna countered.

Despite Hanna being right, Sophie knew better. One by one, the girls walked away to sit at separate spaces as Sophie took a seat on an empty table. She was about to start eating when her phone buzzed in her pocket.

Sophie had been working up the courage all day to go and face Jason. She couldn't avoid him forever, especially not now seeing as they were neighbors. She had spent the past hour pacing around in front of his house, talking herself into doing this.

Much to her luck, the sixth time she walked up to the DiLaurentis house, the blonde boy was outside meaning she couldn't run away. This time.

"Sophie?" he called out, "hey"

"Hi" she said, walking over to him.

"I've been trying to call you" he said, "you've been avoiding me. Again"

"I know and I'm sorry" she sighed, "so much has happened over the past few days and-"

"I know" he cut her off, "I heard about Ian. Are you okay?"

She shrugged, "Kinda? I don't know, it's just been crazy"

"Look, we don't have to talk about that if you don't want to" he sighed, "but we need to talk"

"Yeah, I guess your right

"Hey, erm do you wanna come in for a drink?" he asked, "we can talk inside"

Sophie had no idea why, but she found herself accepting the offer, following him up the steps of the house, stopping just before the door.

Her heart was pounding against her ribs, and it felt like someone was squeezing her heart. Each step she took towards the house Sophie found herself shaking. Her breathing sped up as she tried to calm herself down.

Jason seemed to notice the girls state and gently grabbed her hand, offering her a small smile.

"I'm sorry, I didnt realise that you haven't been here since" he trailed off.

"No, it's fine" she insisted, reassuring him with a smile as he opened the front door, "it's just a house"

He stepped back allowing her to enter the house before him. Her eyes scanned around the entrance way, taking it in.

The house looked so similar yet so different at the same time. The furniture was covered in white fabric and there were boxes stacked in all corners of the room.

"Sorry about the mess" he said, standing behind her, "I uh, I haven't gotten around to sorting through this stuff yet"

"Don't worry, it's fine" she smiled.

"Er do you want some strawberry lemonade? I've got some in the fridge, I know how much you used to love it" he offered, making her smile fondly at him.

Jason left her awkwardly standing in the hallway as he went into the kitchen to fetch their drinks. She walked over to one of the boxes when she noticed a stack of family pictures. She picked one of them up, scanning over it as she looked at the smiling faces of the DiLaurentis family.

"Looking at that you'd think we actually got along" Jason chuckled from behind her.

"You two were experts in hiding the truth"

"I can't deny that" he smiled, "come on, we can talk upstairs"

She followed him up to his room, noticing how the once picture-filled walls were now bare. He stopped outside his bedroom door, opening it before letting her inside.

She studied the room, noticing how much cleaner it was than the last time she was there. There were no more empty pizza boxes and dirty clothes scattered around the room, his bed was neatly made, and the room smelt of laundry detergent rather than weed and beer.

"What did you want to talk about?" she asked as she sat on the edge of his bed, taking the glass off him.

"I don't know" he sighed, "us, what happened, a lot of things, I guess. How are you, Soph? Really?"

"My family have me seeing a grief counsellor" she chuckled dryly, "thinks it will help me come to terms with Ali's death"

"You don't want to go?"

"No" she scoffed, "been there and done the whole therapy thing when I moved to England. Didn't work"

"What's made your family send you back to one?" he raised his eyebrows.

Sophie paused for a minute, she knew Jason knew about the whole Ian thing, but she didn't know what to tell him. She didn't even know what happened herself.

"The Ian thing" she admitted, "they think that we're obsessed with blaming Ian for Ali's murder so they think that sending us to a shrink will stop that"

Jason raised his eyebrows again, "Do you think he did it?"

"I don't know" Sophie sighed, "everything seems to point to him. I mean the videos, he had opportunity and he had motive-"

"Motive?" Jason cut her off.

"The videos" Sophie said, "the n.a.t ones" she clarified.

"What has that got to do with anything?"

"Ali had a copy" Sophie admitted, "she found them which gives Ian a pretty strong motive to kill her"

"So, Ali knew about us?" Jason asked.

Sophie took a dead breath, "I think so. I don't know if she watched all of them or not. But if she did, well she didn't let me know"

"Did Ian say he killed her?"

"Not necessarily" Sophie shook her head.

"Sophie he either did or he didn't" Jason snapped.

"Well, he tried pretty hard to make it look like Spencer was responsible" Sophie scoffed, "and like I said he had the motive and the opportunity"

"But that doesn't mean he did it" Jason insisted.

"Is this why you moved back here?" Sophie said, "to find out who killed Ali?"

Jason sighed, taking in a deep breath before answering her, "I don't remember a lot what happened that night and I thought that moving back here would help me put it all together"

"Is that all?"

"That and I made a promise to you that I'd stick around" he admitted, "figured it would be easier to do that here"

"Why are you still trying?" Sophie asked him, "I keep avoiding you, I thought you would have given up by now"

"Nothing you could ever do would make me give up on you"

Hearing those words come out of his mouth made her knees weak – even though she was sitting down. Her heart was practically pounding out of her chest as he slowly moved his face closer to hers.

"May I?" he muttered, his eyes darting between her eyes and her lips.

She couldn't utter a response, something that seemed to be a reoccurring habit with her, instead Sophie leant up, capturing his lips with hers. He seemed surprised at first, he was usually the one to make the first move so when she kissed him, he was taken back. It didn't take him long to return the kiss, however.

She moved her lips against his, a satisfied sigh leaving her lips as she kissed him. Every fibre in her body was screaming at her to stop but she couldn't. Kissing Jason was euphoric. She loved it more than anything in the world.

She reached round, running her fingers through his hair as she pulled on the ends, making him groan slightly. He pushed her back, guiding her to lie down on his bed as he moved on top of her. His lips left her mouth as he trailed his mouth along her jawbone down her neck, going to place he knew she loved. The hot feeling of his tongue on her neck made her eyes flutter shut and a soft whisper of his name fall from her lips.

She felt his lips curl upwards in satisfaction. Even after a year, he still knew how to make her feel a way that no one else could.

She knew that she should stop him, he hadn't even been back in rosewood a week and she was already in bed with him. She could practically hear the girl's scolding tones if they ever found out. The girl would be on a complete lock down if anyone knew what she was doing right now. No matter how loud the voices in her head were and every fiber in her body telling her to stop, she couldn't bring herself to push him away.

The boy was her weakness, she could never say no to him. She knew that if she told him to stop he would without any questions, but she didn't. Instead she tilted her head back and allowed him to continue his attack on her neck.

His mouth continued their journey across her neck as she played with the ends of his hair, panting slightly as he sucked and bit her neck.

"I can stop if you want" he said gently, his hand trailing up and down her thigh.

"Don't stop" she whimpered, that was all he needed before he tore her shirt from her body, leaning back down to kiss her.

She wiggled her hips up slightly as the boy moved his attack down to her breasts, making him groan from the tension.

The slightest move of her hips and she could feel his very prominent buldge poking through his jeans.

A few more wiggles of her hips later and the boy came back up for some air, his pink lips swollen and his eyes dark with lust.

"Are you sure?" He asked. The silent nod of confirmation confirmed the boy that she wanted this just as much as him. Jason wasted no time in practically ripping his shirt off of his body as he leant back down to kiss her.

Her hands trailed down his toned body, her fingers tracing over every bump of his abs. She was mesmerised. Her hands reached further and further down, stopping at the top of his jeans.

Every last bit of common sense left her head as he started to unzip her own jeans, hastily pulling them off of her legs, her lace underwear following shortly after.

"Stop teasing Jase" she whined as he moved down to kiss the inside of her thighs.

"Patience darling" he smirked, moving his mouth closer to where she needed him the most. Sophie's hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer to her body. Jason chuckled lightly, before giving her what she wanted and placed open mouth kisses on her heat.

Sophie's mouth flew open once his tongue entered her, her head tilting all the way back and her eyes fluttered shut. She had forgotten just how good he felt. Besides the night in Jason's apartment, Sophie hadn't had so much as a touch in over a year, and Jason sure was making up for lost time the way his tongue moved in and out of her.

As much as she loved the feeling of him devouring her, she couldn't wait any longer. She pulled him up back so he was face to face with her, and wasted no time in tugging on his boxers, pulling them down.

Jason got the hint, helping the girl rid him of his last piece of clothing, before lining himself up with her. He paused for a second, looking down at the girl below him. Sophie however, clearly didn't appreciate his action, as she wriggled her hips up towards his, trying to create some sort of friction.

Once again taking the hint, Jason slowly pushed himself into her and Sophie swore each time he felt better.

Jason slowly started to rock his hips into hers, leaning down to place even more kisses on her neck, enjoying the feeling of her hands pulling on his hair.

As much as Jason wanted this to last, and as much as he wanted to take his time in making this a loving experience, he couldn't help himself. Growing more desperate, he quickened the pace. The gentle lovemaking could wait in his opinion, besides the two were never the type to go gentle anyway.

It seemed like Sophie didn't care at all that much by his quickening pace from the sounds that were escaping her lips. Jason swore the sounds she made were heavenly, it was his favorite sound.

When she moved her hands to claw at the skin on his back, he sped up to an ungodly speed. By force of habit, his hand crept up to cover her mouth as to silence her moans, however he remembered that it was just them in his house and soon took his hand away to hear her moans.

Sophie felt that familiar feeling in her stomach and clenched her legs around his waist, pulling him closer. Jason didn't need to be told, he knew she was close and took it as a sign to reach his hand between them to rub on that special bundle of nerves in order to push her to her climax.

Not long after he did, she felt the cord snap. Her legs shook around his waist and her eyes rolled shut. The amount of noises that were leaving her mouth made Sophie sure that he was about to get a noise complaint from his neighbors.

The feeling of her coming undone beneath him was all he needed for him to follow her actions.

Jason rolled off of her as they lay next to each other, panting to catch their breath.

"Wow" she panted after a moment, "that was-"

"Amazing" he finished, "I'm sorry"

Sophie raised her eyebrows, "why are you sorry?"

"You came to talk not for this"

"Believe me, I'm not complaining" she laughed causing him to chuckle.

✦✧✦✧

"Pepperoni or Hawaiian?" Sophie asked as she help the pizza menu in her hand. A little while later, Sophie was sat on the bed in one of Jason's old t-shirts and a pair of her sweatpants that she had left in the boy's room last year, her hair wrapped in a towel.

"I'm going to pretend like you never suggested that" Jason laughed, pulling a face of disgust at the girl.

"You don't like pineapple on pizza?"

"Who does?" he laughed.

"Okay so a pepperoni, do you want anything else?" she asked.

Before the boy could reply, there was a knock on his front door. He groaned, placing a kiss on sophie's cheek before going downstairs.

Sophie placed the order with the pizza place and turned on the tv trying to find something to watch.

It wasn't long before the boy returned to his room, a plate of what appeared to be brownies in his hand.

"It was spencer" Jason said upon seeing the confused look on the girl's face.

"What did she want" Sophie asked.

"To ask me why I was back in town" Jason replied, "Have you found anything to watch?"

"No, there's nothing worth watching" she sighed.

"It doesn't matter, we won't be doing much watching anyway" he smirked, making the girl blush, "is the Sophie Langford blushing?"

"You're the only one who can make me" she laughed, "we have twenty minutes until pizza is here"

"I can think of plenty of things to do in twenty minutes"

Later that night, Sophie was heading towards Hasting's house to pick up her chemistry book she had left a few days prior. However, upon approaching the Hasting's household, she noticed the window was smashed and a pile of glass was shattered on the mat below.

"What are you doing?" she heard a voice from behind her. Sophie jumped back in shock and let out a shriek as she turned to see Aria smirking behind her.

"I'm getting some stuff I left here" Sophie whispered, "what are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to Spencer" Aria whispered back, "why are we whispering?"

"I don't know" Sophie shrugged.

"Is that glass?" Aria asked seeing the pile of shattered glass by Sophie's feet.

"Obviously" Sophie deadpanned, "Spencer? You home?"

Suddenly, a figure sporting a black hoodie rushed towards the two girls. The figure pushed past the girls a little too harshly causing them both to go flying into the coffee table behind them.

Lucky for Aria, Sophie had been standing at the back so her fall was slightly cushioned.

Unlucky for Sophie, the weight of her's and Aria's bodies being forcefully pushed back sent a sharp, seering pain down her wrist.

"What the fuck was that?"

✦✧✦✧

"I've called the police" Spencer told the two girls as they sat on the island in Spencer's kitchen, "everything looks alright upstairs, are you okay?"

"Yeah, our dignity broke the fall" Sophie scoffed, holding a bag of frozen peas on her wrist.

"You sure you're okay Soph?" Aria asked, "you should get that checked out"

"I'll be fine" Sophie dismissed, "The fact that A can just break into our houses, sometimes I think that's the worst part of this"

"Emily said that someone broke into her garage and stole some camping gear" Spencer recalled, "and her mom said that there's been a whole bunch of break-ins around town"

"What would A want with camping gear?" Aria asked.

"You tell me" Sophie scoffed, before realising something, "what if it isn't A. who else would know what was on Emily's laptop. Somebody who needs camping gear because they're on the run"

"Ian" Spencer caught on, "we thought that A wiped Emily's hard drive, because that's the kind of thing A would do. But Ian is the only other person who would want those videos destroyed"

"Could that have been Ian upstairs?" Aria asked with wide eyes.

"I don't know" Spencer shrugged, "Melissa is in the barn, what could have he wanted in the house?"

"You"

The next day at school, Sophie watched as the rain pelted against the classroom windows, listening to Mr. Fitz go on about how this was his last lesson as a teacher at Rosewood High.

She turned to watch as Mr. Fitz opened up the neatly wrapped gift, smiling as he pulled out an edition of 'To Kill A Mockingbird'.

"Aw thank you" he smiled, "I wasn't expecting this. To be honest, most of what's happened to me here I didn't expect. I didn't expect to connect with you the way that I have. I never expected to feel this kind of loss over leaving you" he said and Sophie didn't miss the fact that he caught Aria's eyes before continuing, "Um, stop me when this gets too much maudlin, but I'm not going to forget you. I will remember your voices, your questions, your faces. I cherish the time that I've spent here and I'm more grateful than I even know how to say. There's a quote by Joseph Campbell, and it goes 'You must give up the life you had planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you'. I thought I knew what it meant. I didn't. Till I met you" the bell rang, cutting of Mr. Fitz' speech, snapping him out of his awkward eye-lock with Aria, "well, there it is. Oh! Oh, always read. Have a good life"

✦✧✦✧

"It was in her raincoat" Spencer said, handing the girls a picture of Melissa's ultrasound, "her coat was wet, and so were her boots"

"So, she lied to you about being out?" Hanna asked.

"She didn't go far" Spencer explained, "I checked the driveway, and it was dry under her car, so it hasn't been moved all day"

"Who would she want to show this to?" Aria asked.

"I can only think of one person who would care" Hanna said.

"Ian" Sophie nodded, "and if she didn't take her car, that means he is close"

"Hanna's right" Aria sighed, "this is the worst time for us to be splitting up. We need to stick together"

"Yeah, no matter how much lying it takes" Spencer said as they came to a stop outside of the DiLaurentis house.

"What is that?" Emily asked, nodding towards a sheet of tarpaulin that was covering a part of the yard.

The girls were suddenly blinded by the bright light of a torch and Sophie squinted as she brought her hand up to cover her eyes, "Jace?"

"Oh, it's you" Jason said, turning off the torch.

"Yeah, it's only us" Spencer said, "what are you doing?"

"I've been replanting all day and I'm putting up a fence" Jason said.

"A fence? Why?" Hanna said, shifting in her spot uncomfortably.

Sophie rolled her eyes at the girls' uncomfortableness, she got that they didn't like him but she had no idea why they were so awkward around him. A part of her wished the girls would trust her when she said that Jason wasn't some creep.

"Privacy. Security" he said simply as he walked over to them, "there's a lot of curious creeps in the world and one way or another, people are gonna mind their own business"

"Rosewood isn't exactly the town in which people mind their own business" Sophie scoffed. Jason looked at her with a frown on his face when he noticed her bandaged hand.

"What happened?" he said, worry evident in his tone, "you okay?"

"It's nothing" she assured him, "I'm fine"

Jason didn't seem convinced, but he knew better than to push Sophie for answers, "you girls better head home. I'll call you Soph"

"Goodnight" she smiled as he walked away, "What?" she said once she saw the disapproving looks on the girl's faces.

"Really Soph?" Spencer scoffed, "why are you being so friendly with him"

Sophie rolled her eyes, "I'm not doing this right now"

"Who's he trying to keep out with that fence?" Hanna asked.

"Keep in or keep out"

"Don't even go there"
