Once Ikariya had dropped the metal tracker, she was ready for war. She swam back to Awa'atlu. She wasn't going to do this without her bow. She grabbed her bow and her arrows. Looking down at her signature navy feathered arrows, it reminded her of Neteyam. She was wondering how he was doing. She gulped, wrapping the bow around her and putting the arrows behind her back as she ran outside, calling her ikran. He swiftly landed before her as she jumped on top of him, letting out a war cry before lifting off. Ikran was faster than ilu anyways.

She flew back to the ship, seeing as everybody was still busy battling each other. She had to catch her breath, this was the first time she'd seen a war like this actually happen in front of her eyes. Dead bodies fell down from the ship as the Na'vi were absolutely destroying every single one of them. Good for them, Ikariya thought. She smirked, getting ready to join this battle.

She dove down, shooting a few people inside of aircrafts. As they tried to shoot her, she dodged the bullets and shot them right in the head with her bow and arrow. Neytiri gave her backup as she shot a few people with her bow as well. Ikariya saw how Jake put some bullets inside of a few people, trying to get them to back off from Neytiri.

Ikariya could see how Neteyam had jumped up the ship, trying to free Tsireya. She immediately flew towards him, jumping off her ikran and hopping on the ship. 'Hey.' She said, looking at Neteyam.

He hugged her. 'Thank Eywa you're okay.' He said, kissing her.

'Bro? Hurry up!' Lo'ak yelled as Neteyam crouched down again.

He cut Tsireya and Tuk loose, telling them to get out of here.

'Hello? Am I invisible?' Lo'ak waved his hand around slightly, making Neteyam laugh.

'Who's the mighty warrior? Come on, say it.' Neteyam smirked as he cut Lo'ak loose as well.

'Bro,' Lo'ak laughed, looking up at his brother.

'Let's go.' Ikariya said, pulling Neteyam with her who gladly followed her.

But Lo'ak had other plans.

He ran down to an avatar, yanking the gun out of his limp arms. 'They've got Spider. We've got to get him.'

'Lo'ak, no.' Neteyam said, still holding Ikariya's hand.

'Come on bro, we can't leave him.' Lo'ak tilted his head before Neteyam grunted and took his hand out of Ikariya's.

'Get everybody and go back. I'll meet up with you there.' He took her hand up to his face and placed a kiss on it.

Ikariya was stunned. He didn't actually believe she was about to leave him right now. 'Are you insane? I'm not leaving you, Neteyam.' She pulled her hand out of his grip.

'But—'

'You can protest all you want but I'm coming with you. And you know I will.' She said, looking at him through narrowed eyes.

'Fine.' He sighed as the two of them ran after Lo'ak.

They sneaked around, on their way to find Spider. When they found him, they hit a few guys so he would be free. They flopped to the ground as Spider smiled. He looked at Ikariya, he'd never seen her before. 'Long story.' Lo'ak said, making Ikariya chuckle.

They ran away again. Lo'ak tried to shoot some guy but he failed miserably. They laughed at him as Neteyam grabbed the gun and shot a few guys behind them as they were under attack. 'Come on, go. Go!' He yelled as the three of them ran behind him.

Lo'ak and Spider safely made it into the water. When Neteyam was about to jump, Ikariya quickly pushed him down. Her body blocking him, giving him protection before she fell into the water as well.

'Neteyam?' She asked in a breathy, worried voice. In the middle of celebrating, Neteyam looked down at the girl.

Her hand was covered in blood.

Instant panic arose in Neteyam as the water around them rapidly turned red. It surrounded them, they weren't able to see below them anymore. 'Fuck!' He grabbed her as Lo'ak noticed too. 'Get her on!' He yelled, pushing her on an ilu as he jumped on its back.

Lo'ak jumped behind him. 'I got her. Go! Go!' He yelled, swimming off to a nearby rock.

Jake noticed his kids swimming up to him in a panicked state. 'It's Ikariya, dad. She got shot!' Neteyam yelled, pulling the girl on the rock.

'Watch her head!' Lo'ak said, holding the back of her head as they gently placed her down.

Jake rushed over to the girl, he checked the wound. He squirmed as he noticed an exit wound in her back. Blood was running down her spine. 'Shit. Put pressure on it!' He told the boys. They instantly did, both putting their hands on her wound and pushing down.

'Lo'ak, I got her!' Neteyam said, pushing his hands off as he placed his directly onto her wound, pushing down even harder than before.

Lo'ak looked down at his hands, covered in the red liquid.

Ikariya coughed. 'Neteyam?' She asked once again, this time her voice more faint and her worry faded.

He took one hand off, reaching over to her hand and holding it. 'It's okay. You're going to be okay. Just hold on a little longer.' He told her. But it was more like he was trying to convince himself.

Her breathing became irregular as she looked into his eyes. 'I see you, Neteyam. I always have.'

He was in awe. She actually said it. It was like the world stopped turning. She was always so stubborn and would never tell someone she loved them. He was the exception.

The light in her eyes dimmed, she was slipping away. Slowly but surely, Ikariya's breathing stopped. Her grip on his hand loosened. He felt her heartbeat stop underneath his hands as her chest stopped rising.

Neteyam screamed as hard as he could, smashing his fist on the rock until his knuckles bled.

He didn't even have the time to say it back.

'I see you.' He softly spoke, tears running down his face as he put his head on her chest. 'I see you. I see you. I see you.' He kept repeating it while the tears that clouded his eyes, fell to the ground.

He didn't want to believe it. His compass was gone. Now, he doesn't know where to go anymore. He was lost.

Jake reached over, closing Ikariya's eyes before placing his hand on her cheek. 'I'm so sorry kid.' His ears fell as his head lowered. He couldn't do anything to help her.

Neytiri arrived at the scene, looking down at the girl. She was worried for her but when she noticed Neteyam and Lo'ak's state, her eyes shot open followed by her hand finding the way to her opened mouth. She was gone. Ikariya was actually gone. Jake looked at her, ears lowered as Neytiri started to cry.

Neteyam was in disbelief. She wasn't gone. She couldn't be.

Lo'ak looked to the ground, his vision becoming blurry because of his tears. His hands were covered in blood. Her blood. The blood of his best friend. It was all his fault. He did this. Neteyam is going to hate him for life.

Why wasn't it me? Neteyam thought to himself. Why was she laying there, it should've been him. It should've been Neteyam who couldn't breathe anymore. She was probably in so much pain. She tried to hide it, to make herself look strong. But Neteyam could see right through her. Why wasn't it him.

The worst part was, it was supposed to be him. She sacrificed herself. She knew Neteyam would've been dead if she didn't jump in front of him.

He hated her for it. He hated every single inch of her body, every fiber.

Why did she do that? Why did she jump in front of him.

It should've been him.
